Just haven t been wow ed by this restaurant at all. We ve ordered 3 times and I find all of their food bland. Appetizers are decent though. It s not necessarily this restaurant in particular, I just don t care for the food at all. I would try them again only for a steak since they are a steakhouse, but otherwise, we won t be back. I should add however that the service was always good. No complaints there. Update We tried Mr Mikes again tonight and I just have to say, what a colossal waste of money. People who like this place obviously do not have good taste in food AT ALL! It gets rave reviews in FSJ and I m honestly baffled as to why. The food is mediocre and bland. The place dimly lit. There are much better chains in town if that s your thing, but a ton of other fantastic independently owned restaurants that produce a well above-bar product in comparison.

So visiting my husband at work in Fort St. John and we went to MR MIKES Fort St John because the kickass salad is ALWAYS good, I crave this salad often, not only did we wait about 7 minutes before first seeing our server, nothing tasted the same. I ordered The Doris to drink and it tasted nothing like the one I had in PG, was a lot more tart and then we get our food. My salad had sliced cabbage cores in it, the feta was in cubes at least an inch in size, not crumbled at all, the chicken was over cooked and dry, missing seasoning on half and the dressing was a lot more bland. My husband got the salmon caesar salad and he enjoyed his but the salmon was overdone as well. We ordered cheesecake to take back to the hotel and waited about 20 minutes for that to get boxed up (everyone knows they re premade) Our server apologized and said the prep cook must ve been having a rough day which I get, but for such differences for a chain restaurant I was kind of surprised. I know for sure MR MIKES PG will be seeing us soon so I can get my salad. The people of Fort St. John would benefit greatly from a visit and tune up from the greatest restaurant manager on the planet, Dave!

A very busy place. I had a flatbread pizza that was very tasty. My brother had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich that was very tasty. Nice modern facility. And a ten of staff.

My wife and I and our godson decided to go for a nice dinner on the 14th. We picked Mr. Mikes as we all wanted steak. We ordered one Rare and two medium. When the steaks came out two were almost well done. Mine came out medium so I said i would eat it anyway. When my wife and godsons came back they were medium well but they were hungry so started eating. The vegetables on all the plates were hard and luke warm. Onion rings greasy and baked potatoes looked like they sat for awhile. Not one of us finished our meals, (and they were small steaks). All steak dinners cost $40 a plate. Now you would think for that price and being a steak restaurant, you would get a descent meal. They apologized and offered a free dessert to my godson. We said no ty and left. What started out to be a nice evening turned out to be a disaster. Thank god my wife is a nice person. As much as she was upset she kept me calm and we left. Will never eat at this establishment again that is for sure!!!! The least i could give was a 1 star for food , it should be a 0. Final note ,Nicky our waitress was great!

Wow! What a difference! We had stopped eating at Mr Mikes a couple years ago because it was so awful. So glad we tried it again. The food was good, and Niki took great care of us. Good job you guys!

Had a great time, we had Gavin as a server. He was so friendly and polite. Food was excellent, everything came out super quickly too. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer. 10/10 if I could give more stars I would. I had the chicken burger with lobster Mac & Cheese. It was so good. My partner had the Seafood Pasta. I stole some of his food because it was also awesome. New favourite drink too, the bartender on Saturday was awesome. The Peach & Cream drink was worth coming back for alone. We were only there for an hour, which shows how quick they were for a Saturday night. I was extremely impressed. We will definitely be back.

This is the first review ive left after my 10th visit as im local , this place has had a 5 star every time except for this evening.. we had 2 appys and 5 ceasers and 3 big horns , the beer is amazing dont drink beer usually i ordered steak ,fries and lobster with a ceaser salad i ate all my fries and salad first , cause i cant stand cold fries by the time i got to my steak that i ordered med rare i noticed it was medium well and the lobster tail was so over done and the smallest tail ive ever received here , the meat was stuck to the shell and was literally 4 bites of lobster .. i was with 2 other people as they were pretty much done eating i didnt send it back, $245 for bill and we always leave 20% tip so we paid with 3- 100 bills and left 55 for tip as service was absolutely awesome as always .. pretty disappointed in steak and lobster this evening. 9/10 visits were amazing is why i kept returning, if i have another experience like this here i cant say i would return wich sucks cause the food is usually amazing here

Ooh my... The service is very fast, but the quality is... We ordered fish and chips, and my partner ordered the ribs. the fish is greasy and bland (ribs also bland). Sorry to tell you that and the coleslaw has a unique taste.. but the best from our dinner is the waiter super friendly

Well my thoughts are as follows, its just another big chain restaurant. Nothing special really in my opinion, food is mediocre and the atmosphere is meh. But thats just one mans opinion, the staff on the other hand was very professional and courteous.

Always a great meal here. Mr. Mikes is where I go to treat myself once in a while. I have only ever had good service and great food here. When ordering takeout I have never had to wait. They are fast, even in rush hours. I could rant about many things that I like about Mr. Mikes, but Ill keep it simple and just suggest you go have your own experience. Its worth it.

I always get the tomato soup with a stein of blonde lager (big horn beer?) for lunch. Its perfect.

What bar is open till 10pm what a joke good great would been nice to sit down and have a beer an eat dinner after a had days work not even open 12 hrs a day and Im pulling 15hr days Probaly would left a fat tip like I did on St Pattys Day there excuses was we changed our hrs with covid, excuses me covid was over 2 years ago time to change your hrs back to normal

Good food and friendly staff But... The prices are high here. $18 for Mac n cheese and not much of it is not worth the money. My wife and I were given 1 menu to share..Not sure why, thought it was a honest mistake but then I noticed the family of 4 also only had 1 menu..Not sure whats up with that but its ridiculous.. This has encouraged me to save my money and not return. 3 stars because the food tasted good and the staff are nice

We are currently moving to FSJ for a new job opportunity. I havent seen the girlfriend in some time as I work and get setup here, so with her visit this weekend I figured Id take her somewhere nice... Ive been more impressed with what weve fed our dog. Service was quick, no cutlery, had to ask for refills to start with. Meals came down (without cultery also - had to ask)- we ordered strip loin and rib eye with lobster tails. The girlfriends steak was overcooked to the point we likely could use it as foundation for a home. She immediately sent it back. My steak for a rib eye was extremely bland. The lobster tail was very small (I think a baby Yorkie is bigger). They comped her steak but everything still came out to 84 bucks.... I dont think I will even entertain the idea of retrying Mr. Mikes. I think zellers back in the day, made a better steak. For a place that prides itself on steaks, likely could replace the kitchen, and where they get the meat. A big welcome to FSJ.. EDIT** I emailed corporate over the experience we had, and they emailed back saying they appreciate the feedback and will try and reiterate their expectations to their franchises. They made no attempt to try and have us come back out and have a better experience. It appears that the problem itself comes from the top - not just restaurant side. I dont have alot of restaurants that I boycott, but Mr mikes has made that very short list. Sad

I know, I know ...I go to a steak joint and get pasta...What can I say, I was in the mood for pasta... I ordered up the Cajun chicken fettuccine...it did not come with bread, so I had to order some...went with the cheesey bread.....to my palate the pasta sauce was more like a marinara sauce than a Cajun...the chicken was tender. I had the Rocky Mountain madness for dessert. It was the best part of this meal. Next time Ill try a steak!!

My friend and I who are truck drivers came in for reset of our hours in FSJ Super 8 hotel and since theres Mr Mikes restaurant right in front of the hotel we decided to pay our visit there. Knowing that Mr Mikes in WEM is really good as Ive been there few times with my family I didnt doubt in food quality at Mr Mikes place in FSJ! Rib eye steak was extremely delicious, good quality meat, extremely satisfied how it came to my plate JUST RIGHT AS I IMAGINED AND ORDERED. Baked potato was tasty as well just like our garlic bread we ordered and cake at the end. Our server was very nice and polite girl that was coming often to our table asking how we doing and do we need anything else. She also has sense for humor and was chill and she has positive energy . Only thing I can say what wasnt up to my taste is a bit darker interior and thats about it. Everything else is just perfect! Edit: Id like to add photos but it seems I cant find the option to upload at the moment.

Group of 6 We explained that we were in a bit of a hurry. We ordered appies and a keto dish. 5/6 of us were unhappy with the food. The server forgot items repeatedly. When she asked us how our experience was going and we explained that we were disappointed that not only did the two appy platters take an hour, but the food quality wasnt there. She came back making excuses and offering a dessert instead of a discount or even an apology. Three guests have worked in hospitality and managed restaurants and were very patient, but all in all, that experience was appalling, and we dont plan to come back anytime soon.

Tried reaching out by email before leaving a review. No one ever got back to me. Was served raw chicken. After being brought a new piece of chicken, I was charged for BOTH I have since been contacted and the matter has been solved

On Aug 24 evening, my coworkers and I decided to try Mr Mikes Steakhouse. First, the atmosphere and service was very good. Drinks were very cheap and our group spent about $200 on drinks. Absolutely no complaints for drinks, wait time, and service. However, the steak was horrible. I ordered the filet mignon and it was the worst Ive tried. Let me emphasize that filet mignon (tenderloin) done correctly should always be the tenderest piece of meat. That wasnt the case at Mr Mikes. The steak was one of the chewiest steak Ive had - almost like those $10-15 steaks at the grocery store. You can tell when cutting the steak that it is very tough. Ive been to many steak restaurants in Vancouver (i.e. Elisa Steakhouse, Gothams, Hys, Victors Steakhouse) and Mr Mikes steak was disappointing.

We were surprised on our Anniversary with a card and free dessert. Thank you staff for making our day extra special and memorable!!

Okay for what it is. Our waitress was really great.

Even though it was packed on a Wednesday night I still managed to get a table right away. Orders were taken then everything stopped for 20-25 minutes, literally stopped. There was a girl walking around with handfuls of silverware and she didnt know how or what to do with it. She just kept walking in circles clutching this stuff and not putting anything down and she should have been able to she that there was nothing on our table. Not really a big deal because we didnt even have drinks yet. Drinks came, still waiting for appies, appies came no individual plates or silverware (still). I have to say, food was good but you need to step up the whole game. The dining experience is not just how the food tastes.

Edit 2...better! Last visit...our server was attentive and engaged. Perfect. The food was hot and tasty, the drinks all arrived quickly and accurately. Bravo. Edit 1...Id say the current managemrnt needs to spend some more time training the service staff in creating experience for their guests...feeling very robotic and scripted...and the food timings sucked. No refills on drinks...appy arrived after entrees...cmon guys, youre better than this... Definitely a Fort St John go to...has picked up its game in the last couple of years after being a bit tired and run down before that. Service is normally top notch and the food is predictably consistent and prepared properly. One of the better outings in town.

I went in I sat down and was trying to order my first alcohol drink and I couldn t because apparently I have to share it with my wife. Manager was rude to me and called me a drunk even tho I have no alcohol in my system. Your restaurant is very poor managed and the manager should be fired. I didn t even had a appy or any food. Stopped in for lunch and had a dish which was very good. It had Avocados and a plethora of items which my palate consumed and yet I cannot remember what the dish was called. It had white rice underneath it all. When I stop by again, I know what I m getting. I left satisfied and not stuffed.

Honestly this is not a reflection of the rest of your staff, but your bartender on this evening was absolutely terrible bad attitude, horrible service, I had to waive down to other servers to get a drink that girl obviously hates her job. For the love of god don t let her Bartend ever again. Especially when that busy. On a positive note the food was excellent and the other girl behind the bar was killing it and was very friendly :)

I was very upset by not reciving service due to only having the paper copy and proof of my vaccine card . It has to be the qr code . Its bad enough that we are loosing our rights every day . And I hoped mr mikes would have fought for their costumers . Or just look the other way , like everyone else does . Its the respectful thing to do .

Food was good!

Cactus cut chips were cooked perfectly, crispy! The next day when I expected them to be soggy but they were still crispy! Bacon mike burgers were good, though it could have had another pickle! Garlic fries were delicious and crispy. Ceasar salad side and fries for sides were a good size.

I had a twist on my usual meal. The waitress said it was a great alternative and she was correct! I found my new favorite! The steaks here are always so tender and juicy. I wanted to write and alert you to a poor dining experience that I had at the Fort St John location. I was not approached at our table by the manager to ask how the meal was and I did not want to upset my tables celebration by tackling the issue with our waitress as they have a tough enough job to perform. Drink service took over 15 minutes to get at our table. The food at all three of our meals was heavily covered in too much oil ,chicken burger was grossly overdone in oil for a chicken breast - both orders of fries on myself and my sons plates were cold by the time they already arrived at the table. It seems like not enough attention is being provided by the kitchen crew. My wifes plain baked potato was botched and came with a loaded potato and when the new one came out it was discolored and not white inside from all oil -I assume. Buns on the Mini Mikes burgers were stale and did not seem fresh at all. This has always been my familys first choice in town for celebrations but I have my reservations on that idea now.
