Very very fast service. Very good food and a good price. Highly recommend. I will be going there every time I want sushi now
First time here, first time in Fort St. John and I was extremely impressed by this place! The sushi was so great! Tasty, fresh, huge portions and very quick and friendly service! In love with this place. Highly recommend!
Rolls were fresh and prepared quickly. The Miso soup is twice as large as anywhere else I've ever been. The tempura was fresh on the inside and nice and crispy on the exterior. The service was fantastic too. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer my questions about the menu. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.
Hole in the wall sushi place right by Dollar Tree and No Frills. My entire meal was $30 including tip. The takoyaki, salmon and tuna maki were surprisingly delicious. The yam tempura roll however, was dry and flavourless. I did find it to be a weird concept that you had to order up front and pay for your meal, then you could find a seat to enjoy it afterwards. Felt more like a fast food joint setup than an actual restaurant. Overall, decent lunch experience.
Let's face it, this isn't a fancy restaurant. But it is way better than Q Spot. Sacrifice some atmosphere for better quality food. The sushi was ready quickly, and it hit the spot for that sushi craving. Decent prices too.
The nigiris were not bad, pretty good. However, the BC roll was not the BC roll I used to know. The fish inside of the roll should be salmon, but It was more like Korean canned tuna. It was a bit disappointing. Staffs were kind though.
A bit confusing. They expect you to know, that when you come, you don't sit but order, as they don't explain nothing. We seated ourselves for a good 5-8 mins, not knowing that nobody would approach us with a menu. They don't really offer water, unless asked. And even so, they don't refill the glass. Unagi donburi needed more sauce, udon needed more flavor. Sushi were great tho!
How can I start! I was skeptical, I am in Fort St. John, far from my Edmonton home. Sushi would be the last place I would try in a remote area. This place proved me wrong. The place is literally a hole in the wall with great food. The restaurant is nice, cozy, very clean and nice seats. The food menu is packed with great choices. You can see the guys doing the food for you and are really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through this area. The sashimi was clean and fresh. The Fort St. John roll is a hit and you must try. If you like simple the California rolls were nicely done. On a cool day like today the miso soup was on point and pleasant to have. Let me know what you think. Until the next review and keep on eating. #chicosreviews76
The best tuna Ive ever had in the north! Amazing job. Now my new favorite place to eat!
Little place with great service, great tea and good food. Out of nothing in the middle of nowhere. Glad I found it.
Great place, fresh and delicious as always.
Did not really enjoy. The rice in the sushi was not fresh and really ruined the sushi. The noodles were not good either. Do not recommend.
Crazy roll is the best & I dont even like sushi, always nice friendly staff. I like how calm they are, not just In a rush to complete your order, seems like they care about your food
Fantastic sushi shop!
This is some of the worst sushi Ive ever had in my life. People who praise this - I don t even want to know what kind of sushi you think was bad if this one sucks and you re praising it... I just feel sorry for you people that you have to eat such crap and you can t try good sushi.
Best sushi and service in FSJ. Hands down. This place slaps.
Good food, good prices, nice staff, restraunt is a bit small but Im a big guy so I cant blame them for that. Would recommend.
Amazing prices for amazing food, especially for a place so far out north! Parking: Parking lot besides restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat access
Love our sushi date nights , great food !
Very good unagi, fresh enough for being so far inland and pricing was pretty fair for a sushi place. 10/10 will go back again.
Delicious food! Surprisingly good for this small town, I m impressed.
Takoyaki was really good. Honestly, everything I ve had here is good. Price was nice too. I like being able to have a very satisfying lunch for $15.
Love their crazy rolls. The staff were very polite and respectful and like to have a laugh. the place was very clean I have only had take out but one day I will sit in thank you Sushi Heaven
Great food! The FSJ roll is amazing. This is our favourite sushi restaurant in FSJ. Food arrives quickly. Take note that you order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table.
The new sushi master (korean) is rude.
Amazing food taste and quality. Sashimi was better than Edmonton, and better value. Theyve got some great dishes for (nowadays) cheap. Hole in the wall atmosphere, they bring food out as its finished so its as fresh as can be. Bottomless green tea in go cups for $1 really seals the deal. Will be back soon.
Very yummy and fresh sushi!
Absolutely delicious! Favorite place to go every time im in the area. Quality!
Staff is Always friendly, food is always fresh, cant get any better this far from the water!
Absolutely amazing best place to get sushi in fsj!!
Lovely staff, subpar selection of rolls, good selection of nigiri. Food was decent but didnt wow me. Not sure how it can be compared to sushi and rolls in the metro Vancouver area though. Definitely does not shine a light to it but matching freshness and quality to a massive city, almost minutes from the ocean no matter where you are with a HUGE Asian population whose restaurants often have a specific style is an unfair comparison to say the least.
Excellent! Very fresh, good portions & quick service.
Very poor quality, we ordered a miso soup (which tasted like dish wash water) and a beef teriyaki, which was so SALTY that I don t think I ve ever tasted anything that salty in my life! Avoid this place by all means!
You have to pay for everything before you order which was kind of silly. You have a tip option based on not knowing what service you will receive?? The sushi was subpar and the bathroom doors were stained with dirt by the handles as if they have never seen a rag. I was sick immediately after I ate here.
Even Edo japan has better sushi. This place is overpriced and the sushi is nasty.
I love this place. Best sushi I have eaten in a very long time!
Very very over priced compare to the quality of food you get! This place is even more expensive than a fancy restaurant downtown Vancouver. Nice staff tho!
The food is good but we ordered the agadashi tofu which used to have a delicious hot sauce served with it. This time we just got the tempura dip, not the same.
Have always had great good!
Consistently great sushi
The chef was so kind hearted! Our server was incredibly nice as well. The whole restaurant had a very authentic feel and their portion sizes were huge! They had given us each one roll on the house, and it was absolutely amazing! I cant stress enough how amazing this restaurant is. Go check it out for yourself!
yum
A good little sushi restaurant. Good value and selection. Four stars as my beef donburi left a little to be desired. Would certainly go back.
Great fresh sushi, priced right, quality almost as good as high priced restaurants in Burnaby and Richmond BC.
Always fresh and yummy! The best sushi in Fort St John!
Such great sushi fast service awesome people
Best sushi and great service
Delicious sushi, ordered seconds after we finished our combos. Definitely over ate but it was worth it, we will be back for more.
Excellent place. I just tried veggie rolls because Im whole plant based diet, but my colleague tried different things and all was as good as it can be. Rolls are prepared super fast. The yam roll is totally recommended. For vegans and not vegans.
If you in the area stop in for some good sushi! I will be back
Super quick service and delicious food!
Consistently good sushi found in Fort St John. Priced are reasonable, slightly high. About $40-50 for two people. Still, we never complain when we are done eating!
Best sushi in town!
Best sushi place in town excellent food and service been going there for nearly ten years
Fast, quality food. Always my number one for sushi.
Good food
Always a great dinner .
Always love going there. I always the sushi platter and they never fail to satisfy.
Great sushi
The best sushi in Fort St John
The service is simple, polite, and professional! The atmosphere is authentic, warm, and inviting. The food, absolutely fantastic! Flavour, texture, and colour; the chefs are skilled and have their recipes dialled in! What a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this place to all, and if I m ever back in Ft St John, I ll be stopping by.
My first choice for sushi in FSJ
Best sushi in town
Some of the best sushi you will get in the Peace Region. Highly recommend their Prawn Killer Roll
Quick and easy with very high quality!
So great, reminds me of all the lovely tiny sushi places I used to eat at in Van. Love it!
Freshest sushi in town!
Really great salmon sashimi! The cuts were tender and delicious. Id head back next time Im in the area.
By far the best sushi in town. Great variety, quality and friendly staff. You will not be sorry for going here.
Best sushi Ive ever had. And the miso soup was delicious, the tofu was so tender. Good prices an portioning. Simple and elegant interior, felt very authentic despite being a western sushi restaurant.
Great sushi, and great spot to dine in! Staff is super friendly, and always accommodating! Highly recommended!
Food was very tasty. The pictorial menu on the wall was nice for us that arent sushi affectionados.
best sushi in fsj!
Not bad for FSJ, your options are limited in the city. Compared to larger cities , you cant, but for FSJ its good
Thank you for the delicious food. Being from out of town, I wasn t aware of the protocol to order from the counter. I came in, sat down, and waited for 5 minutes to be served. Once I exclaimed are you guys open? I was told how it works!! I then ordered the recommendation by the staff, and it came delivered to my table. The food was finely-crafted, tasted great, and the service was excellent. Thanks again!
Our familys favourite sushi, udon, & don-buri place in all of British Columbia!
This place is amazing!!! Staffs are super friendly and the chefs do put a lot of attention into making their food. Highly recommended!!!
Had a great dinner at Sushi Heaven. Brought some of my employees who have never had sushi before and they had a great experience too. Staff are very friendly and the menu selection is just large enough for everyone to pick something different. Food quality is very good as well! We will be back for sure
Acceptable sushi.
A little high in price, but its the best sushi in town.
Great service...the food is awesome!
Our favorite sushi restaurant in town. The chiefs are awesome! Waitresses could be a little more friendly.
Spectacular food and friendly staff!
Best sushi in town. I especially enjoy the spicy tuna roll. For transparency I will say that I used to work here. The owners are genuinely nice people with high standards for food preparation and it was one of the best places Ive ever worked.
Best tempura in town
Great sushi and awesome presentation. Friendly and helpful staff who obviously take pride in the meals they create! Will definitely be back the next time were in the area.
Fresh sashimi in this region
Only ate here once so I cant really rate it higher but its nice place with friendly staff. I would visit again.
Absolutely Amazing place! I misunderstood the menu and ordered the wrong items, not only did they fix it, they made me take the wrong food(which the bag ripped and I dropped one in the parking lot) The Beef bowls are awesome and the Salmon Maki just melts in your mouth! This was my first visit here and Im floored by their amazing customer service! Sucks I dont live here as I would go there again and again!
Good tasting. Good quantity. Good quality
Always good food
Great, fresh sushi. Yummy crazy roll!
Consistent food, service is alright, nothing spectacular
Good sushi! :)
Over priced very small portions. You can get better sushi elsewhere.
Q spot is way better
Definitely our favourite sushi place in FSJ. Consistently great and always quick service.
Very nice experience. Food was excellent. Fresh and tasty. The prices are very fair. Im not from here and this equals any sushi I have eaten elsewhere. Worth a visit
Great food and fast! They always remember my order!
I stopped in because the sign says Sushi Heaven. I stood at the door for a few minutes before some guy yelled over for me to sit anywhere. The place is empty. Came and sat down, been sitting here for 5 minutes so far, with my menu sitting on the table I am clearly ready to order. Its taking so long im actually writing this while im waiting. Hell. Im getting up now and leaving. POOR SERVICE AND IT SMELLS
Clean, fast and great food.
Love the Jordan rolls
Nice selection and was good tasting, good service
Great food, super fast service , friendly staff and clean place. I enjoy coming here .
Ive been here lots its always fast and delicious every time
Best sushi in town. Very friendly staff. I also assume that Nick Campbell is not a real person as there are only a few Canadians that can get barrelled that deep and I know all of them.
Ordered Real Crab California roll :( yuck - very disappointing - fishy taste like its been frozen for a long time, asked for spicy agedashi tofu in small pieces this didnt happen although it tasted good, miso soup yummy!
Great fast sushi, legit ebi sunomono.
Best sushi in town. Fast and friendly.
Very, very good sushi!
Poor service you must pay first before you order. Also Im 95% sure their tuna roll and salmon roll is actually canned meat. I asked and they said no but it had that canned taste
Love this place. Very fast and delicious!!!!!!
