Hands down, best Chinese food in the area. Everything was fresh, and of good quality. Can't wait to visit another time, and try some more items from the menu.
The food here is quite good. Service was good until recently. Last visit I made eye contact with the girl at the counter and told her we were a party of 3. She motioned for us to sit. This was earlier in the evening and there were still several open tables. It was not as busy as usual. After having the server walk past us several times without even being acknowledged, we left after 15 minutes. Not worth the drive if we cannot get service.
First time for us. We bought take out. Delicious!!!! Huge portions, we easily have enough for another meal. Very fresh and was very hot when we picked it up. Lots of variety. Highly recommend this restaurant!
First time at this restaurant. Service was great and really enjoyed our meal. We tried the basics for our first meal here…..house fried rice, Thai cashew beef and chow mein. The Cantonese chow mein was fantastic…lots of veggies and meat. Very impressed. Enjoyed spring rolls for a starter and green tea afterwards. Prices for what we ordered were extremely reasonable. We will be back. This is a a great hidden gem.
This was our first visit and it was delicious, certainly better any Asian restaurant meal we’ve had in a while. Service was prompt, our take out order was ready right on time. We will definitely order from the Riverside restaurant again.
The food is very tasty and healthy. The service is fast and friendly. It is perfect for any day that I don’t feel like cooking. I’m pleasantly surprised with the chicken balls. They actually have decent protein instead of fried flour balls like most other places.
Yummy food, I had the Shrimp Tom Yum noodle soup and it was very good quantity. Got reservation quickly and the restaurant owners were very sweet. They gave us complimentary deep fried shrimps, spring rolls and they made sure all our dietary requirements were met. Overall it was a really nice time with their entire family! They have parking too.

Cantonese lo mein came just dry noodles and veg. Rice tasted burnt. Very bad nite. Place was empty when I ordered it as well.

First time purchasing from here.Iv lived here for 24 years ! Never Tried them.I use to go to the other one where 3 Jacks now is.But food was ready to go at pick up time.Im not sure if there is MSG in food.But rather Salty to my taste! Im Not a salt user.other wise Good Food thanks for other people sharing there experience Will absolutely be ordering here now more often. :)

By far THE BEST Chinese Food around. Always made fresh, whether take out or dine in. So very happy the Riverside was able to survive through Covid, as the staff are super friendly and very accommodating. This just proves that supporting our local businesses is great for us and our area!!

Just moved to Frankford and the Riverside Restaurant (Chinese Food) was highlyrecommended ... so we tried it and were VERY impressed! Food was very fresh and priced fairly for the quality and quantity received. The picture doesnt do the meal justice ... I had already eaten one plateful and then remembered to take the picture (and this was the dinner for two)!

Definitely worth checking out if you live in the Quinte West area. We particularly liked the sweet & sour chicken balls (big chunk of chicken in them), the shrimp lo mein & chicken fried rice. Friendly and fast service.
Very good food. It is quite pricey. I was disappointed they dont offer honey garlic ribs. But overall it was enjoyed

If you like Chinese food this the place to go! Always fantastic. My wife is diabetic so they make hers without sugar and sauces on the side so she can limit her intake. Great people too!

Food serving size is good. Thai Fried rice (Yung Chow) is excellent. General Tao chicken is great. It s our regular order & it has consistently been bang on!
So I took a drive due to the reviews, but sadly I will not be returning . I ordered beef pad thai and there was shrimp in it, and now my daughter cannot eat it, the sweet and sour sauce in just awful, the chicken fried was ok, had a lot better, and there was a container of steamed rice that I never ordered. Im 25 minutes away and no point to go back and return it or complain. I was greatly disappointed!!!

What a gem of a restaurant! Food is so flavorful and portions are large. I had the red curry beef and it was sooooo good! My friend had chicken fried rice and chicken wings. She couldnt get over the chunks of chicken in the rice and how meaty her wings were. I have been back since with another friend and I had the black bean sauce beef. The cook added some heat to the sauce and it was wonderful. My friend had a chicken noodle dish and the lemon chicken. She couldnt get over the quality and quantity. You now have 3 new patrons!

The absolute best! Better than any chinese food Id become accustomed to while living in Toronto. Small and intimate, this family run business is top notch! When I know its going to be a busy part of the day (5 p.m. on a Saturday), I will call well in advance, reserve seats and pre order the meal! Boom! No waiting in line and my food is fresh, hot and ready!! Absolutely amazing meals. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I went for dinner here tonight. We havent been since last year. Just like before, everything we ordered was made fresh and was delicious! Even had a bit to take home Loved my wonton soup and chop suey! I am pretty particular about Chinese Food, but would highly recommend the Riverside Restaurant!! Food is phenomenal, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Overall amazing experience. Went with my mom and got TONS of food for around $30. Spring rolls with sauce, won ton soup, Thai basil shrimp with vegetables and rice and Cantonese lo mein with vegetables All were delicious.
