343 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B 3P5, Canada
Order online for pick up at Razia Kitchen restaurant. We are serving delicious traditional Indian food. Try our Butter Chicken, Chana Masala, Beef Curry, Aloo Paratha, Poutine or Shrimp Biryani.
I’ve had their food in the past and it’s usually good, but they never answer the phone, and when tried ordering online (like door dash and skip) they never accept the orders and then I end up getting notification that the order has been cancelled. Very frustrating especially since their food is usually good, not good customer services though :(
We were on our way home and decided to stop there. We ordered aaloo paratha and chai. It was the best paratha ever. We will definitely go back to eat again While there we found out about the TIFFIN SERVICE for the students. Our daughter is studying in Fredericton and doesn’t have time to cook. So we ordered the vegetarian tiffin for her. This was the best thing we did She loves the food and it comes nice hot and fresh to her door. A big THANK YOU to Razias Kitchen now I don’t have to worry about my daughter starving herself or living on noodles.
The curry dishes are ok, but the Biriyani is the way to go. It is fantastic and a very generous serving size. Don't bother with the naan bread as it seems like it comes from Costco. Best to order take out rather than dine in.
Worst food I have ever tried in the whole NB including Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John. The lamb curry smells, biryani is just food colour. I wonder how this restaurant still runs with these sort of food. If you want to eat biryani and there is no restaurant around please make it at your home rather then coming here.
Had an amazing experience at Razia Kitchen. The service was top notch. She has a lovely personality and goes out of way adding a personal touch. Food was freshly cooked, no canned or store bought spices. We had Rajma, chicken Karahi, chicken seekh kebabs. We were traveling for a week & were missing home cooked food, she definitely fed us food cooked with love like at home. Highly recommend 👌
I sat on this review for months because I am the kind of person who like to see small businesses thrive. But to be fair to the public I have to do this. I was in Fredericton 2 months ago and decided to try this restaurant since I always loved Indian Food. Let's just say of all my life eating out this is the worse place I have ever eaten. We ordered butter chicken, rice and Nan bread. Not only did the butter chicken taste awful but it was very runny, unlike any butter chicken I have had before. The portion was also so small it was unbelievable. And it's expensive. I passed this restaurant a few other times during my trips in Fredericton. It's now a landmark for me and emblematic of the worse place I have ever eaten on planet earth. My hope is not to see them go out of business, but to see them re-evaluate they way they do business and improve. This is not it. Do better. I am not an Indian but I know Indian Food.
It was a pleasant experience. We really like fish masala and naan. Mix chaat was good. But vegetable pakora was different from what we expected as Pakistani style pakora. It more look like aloo tikki but still taste was great. Dhai bhalla was lack of spices. Staff was really polite and friendly.
Went to this quaint little spot for a team lunch. We were able to sample the Dhai Bhalla, Curry Chicken, Mango Chicken, Butter Chicken, Mango Lassi and Naan bread. It was all so flavourful! We loved everything. The staff were also very friendly, making it a really enjoyable dining experience.
A perfect place to have Indian food. Good flavours with lots of varieties. Must try for anyone who wants to enjoy Indian food. Vegetarian options: There are equal options for vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Includes one of the best vegetarian cuisines of India Dietary restrictions: They have options where you can alter the recipe for dietary restrictions
Ordered biryani and it s not fresh some weird smell was in food not a good place for food
Small but tasty!
Excellent place. Friendly people. Great food.
There food is absolutely amazing
The Quality of food is very Good and very pocket friendly also the environment is neat and clean.
Very very poor service Zero service Food
Very very poor service
This for me is one of the best places to catchup with friends in Fredericton.. The place feels homely and the people are very friendly and understanding.. Their chicken and mutton biriyanis have been my favourites in Fredericton.. (special mention of of their samosas too) Thanks a lot guys!!
Awesome food. The Eid buffet was fantastic
I ordered a pani puri and 2 samosa s but with 12 pani puri we got less than half cup of water, which I don t think is enough. Atleast if we are paying for food also expecting enough quantity. Its not worth to spend money on food in this restaurant:(
If I could rate -8 I would as 1 star is too generous. The customer service at this place is abysmal. The owner/workers are incredibly rude and didn t even respond to me when I entered and greeted them. I was given the incorrect order and when I explained this to the old woman cook, she cut her eyes at me and summoned one of the males to help me correct it. The food was a 6 I believe I was served an old batch of food and the samosa was not cooked well. Would absolutely avoid, wouldn t even serve this food to a stray dog
I ordered online and received no confirmation. I called multiple times to confirm, and they forwarded my call to voicemail. I reached out on Facebook and received no response. We drove 25 minutes to pick up the order, and they were closed. Do not place an online order with this restaurant as they will charge your card even if they are closed. Ive been charged over $50.00, wasted over an hour of my familys time driving there and back, and Im still without dinner for my family. I will update this review with the resolution. Update: Its been a few days with no response from the restaurant. My review stands.
delicious Food
This shop has to be taken down immediately. The worst experience I ever had. Already the day was worse and yet this restaurant pissed me off. The quantity is very less that if you order 3 dishes only one person can eat. NEVER EVER GO HERE!. Plus its expensive. Not at all worth it .If you want a good day stay miles away from this restaurant
Had to leave after waiting for 20mins because no one showed up to take my order. Literally the worst customer service in whole Fredericton. Food is not any better either.
My gf is from India and she was feeling homesick until coming to this restaurant. Thank you for helping her
This place is overpriced, the food quality is average. Service depends upon the crowd they have at the time. If it is crowded you might have to wait for a while. Food
Worst food quality ever.
Amazing & delicious food! Excellent service! Homely feeling! Best Indian and Pakistani cuisine in Fredericton - highly recommended
Best desi food restaurant in Fredericton, I love their fish and chicken. 5/5 for taste and 5/5 for quantity and pricing. Parking: 3-5
Very nice place for lunch. Food was very tasty. Presentation, hygiene, service everything was on point. I would love to dine in again.
Razias kitchen never disappoints. Good food. Value for money.
Delicious food
Great flavour and lavish serving size.
It s been a long since I am having tiffin services from Razia Kitchen. I must say the food they serve are well cooked and delicious in taste. The quantity I feel is sufficient as well. It s very rare to find such authentic home made food, and I am quite lucky I got to have these delicious meals an a daily basis. I would definitely recommend Razia Kitchen to every person out there, who still craves for that home made authentic flavours.
One of the finest restaurants with a wide range of Indo-Pakistani food options. Always loved their taste. Chicken biryani is one of their best thing ever. Obsessed with their food. One of the only few Halal options in town. Vegetarian options: They have a wide range of veg options available.
It was just alright, made me sick after
East or West, Razias Kitchen is the best! Enjoy the best restaurant in town, we are UNB students and whenever we go out this is our first choice with the vriaty of eastern food :)
Amazing experience, the chicken Nahari was delicious!!
Worse butter chicken i have ever tried and naan was too bad.
Feels like home. Aloo palak was delicious
Ordered butter chicken and lamb curry. Sad to say the food was Aweful. Butter chicken was rubbery and tough, as if it was freezer burned. Like the lamb curry it tasted watered down and very bland. They also forgot to include cutlery and plates.
Good food
Wonderful people and food out there
Came all the way from Moncton to eat Chicken Biryani, but felt very disappointed with the taste. Its basically plain colored rice with some boiled chicken. No flavour whatsoever
Had the worst biryani ever. No flavor and no spices simply boiled rice and vegetables/chicken.
Certified Halal A taste of home for All Bangladeshi, Indian or Pakistani And Canadians you don t know what you are missing We had Gol Gappa/ Fuchka Beef Biriyani Lamb karahi Aloo Paratha Sweet Lassi Tea Loved all the items Homely Atmosphere, Quality service
Authenticity like dhabas from our home country, love their aalu pranthas. And good news soon they will be starting buffets. Must try Food : 5/5
Worst food ever eaten! Ordered a Veg biryani and it was just mix coloured rice with few veggies. If you don t have atleast remove it from the menu. The daal was worst ever. Just boiled and sent. I would never recommend this restaurant. None of us could eat it.
Make sure they fill your container up and its not just sauce. Bought food to go. They filled the container half way saying its 16oz. Um. For 17 bucks I expect to get enough food to fill me up. I forgot to take a photo. Total was 40 bucks. Small rice which barely cost 2 bucks and Naan which taste store bought. We went back and told them they need to add more to the container. In BC for 17 bucks you could feed 4 people with 1 dish. We were still hungry after the 2 dishes. The lamb was good. The chicken was suspicious. But the sauce was good. Maybe they give more if you dine in. Cant believe they get away with this here.
The food was tasteless ready-made which where just microwaved and served nothing fresh. They do not make any Naans the store pack which is just heated up and served. The mixed veggies were the frozen pack that they fried up a bit. Biryani was also old.
Absolutely delicious
Honestly, the best food I ve eaten in a very long time. The mango chicken is from another universe. Everything was so amazing. The customer service was genuine and top tier.
Welcome to the worst Biryani in the world! Colored rice and boiled chops decorated without taste as if the broth is taken away for their own purpose. Most of the gravy dishes served are old, they simply re-boil them and serve the customers at sky rocketing prices. Wonder why there is no Food Inspection happening on this place! Please avoid.
best place to have brunch specially channa bhatura and owner is so polite
Outside needs a lot of work.
I have to give one star because you can t give zero or negative star as a rating. We went there & order Chicken Biryani, Chana Masala and Roti. Chicken Biryani came, the rice was full white, there is no masala in the Biryani. The chicken in the Biryani breast, frozen one which we get Costco. The same goes for Chana masala, there is hardly any Chana s in gravy. Gravy looks like made from freshly bought tomato gravy from Walmart, Costco, All sweet. The taste and hygiene in restaurant is so bad we could not eat. We paid and left restaurant. I don t recommend anyone this restaurant.
Food is absolutely delicious and a must-try! The Buryani and butter chicken are some of my favorites, and a good appetizer can be found in the veggie samosas. Lovely people and nice to have the online ordering system; it froze up on me for a bit, but I was happily reassured by the owner over the phone that my order was placed, and I picked it up shortly after! Would recommend!
ordered paneer butter masala and got chunks of paneer in a very runny sauce. maybe that s what it is but i tried it for furst time and i will not recommend it to anybody.
Terrible ! Worst butter chicken and naan I ever had . I ll never recommend this place
The food is sooooooo good
Try Aalo parathas there it was amazing
I tried aluu prantha and i loved it.
I ordered from Razia Kitchen for the first time tonight and... WOW. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious, the food was hot and incredibly tasty, and the portions were large with lots of leftovers. Will definitely be going back ASAP! Worth every single cent. Vegetarian options: Delicious veggie patty
Exceptional experience at Razia kitchen! The ambiance is inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The menu boasts a diverse array of authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes bursting with flavor. I high recommend as its a true delight for the taste buds. The service was prompt, and the attention to detail is commendable. Overall, a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Indian and Pakistani cuisine! Ms Razia is a very sweet and humble lady always making the food with passion have seen her offering bottle of water and cokes for free as gifts to guests!
Halal Halal
Good taste and clean environment
Worst service
Ordered from here on a whim and man was it good. Very generous portions! For those interested, the chicken Biryani does not have bone in chicken but pieces (does not take away from the dish but made it easier to eat). Will be hitting this place more often.
Just went there for the first time and got the highly anticipated spicy fries and a beef shawarma. Fries were as good as people say and the shawarma was very tasty as well. Will definitely go back and try more of the menu but will no doubt be very very good as well. Place smells amazing and the staff are very friendly! Will definitely be back In the near future
Incredible explosion of flavour, the mix chat and curry was perfect! Glad we found this place, cant wait to order again. Welcome to Fredericton, and thanks for making it taste better ;-)
Tried samosa this evening Potatoes taste like they have been prepared long time before Worst experience
Its not terrible but its not good
I tried their chicken and vegetable Bririyani! Both are bit pricy and taste the same! Both taste so plain that I would never order ! I hope they bring some variations and make it taste like biriayni instead of plain rice with some chunk of chicken. Also biriyani was bit soggy! Disappointed with price , quantity and taste :(
Razia kitchen is one of the best restaurant in Fredericton NB. Their food is amazing The butter chicken, chicken samosas, biryani is very delicious the people and the hospitality over there were fantastic.
I have ordered from Razia Kitchen almost daily for months, and not once have I been disappointed with the quantity, quality or service. The butter chicken (paneer) is delectable, as are the Sunday brunch specials (halwa poori). Easily the best value for money in the city in my view, and cant recommend enough! Keep up the good work.
I had an amazing experience eating with my husband at Razia chicken. The food was 10/10
I tried chicken briyani and other stuff. According to the price, it was high-quality food. Feels like home and so welcoming. Totally worth it :)
Another amazing meal at Razia Kitchen! Friendly, fast service, and delicious food. Thanks for the consistently great food 10/10
Veg samosas
I have never been disappointed by the food here, its absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
Yum! Cant wait to order again
The food is delicious and the owner is wonderful
Food is superb! The staff is so friendly and welcoming.
worst biryani had so far, no taste. chicken was raw . it seems like chicken was boiled and thrown in the rice with no taste. would never suggest a chicken biryani of razia kitchen to anybody .
Cozy atmosphere, delicious foods, 100% recommend
An authentic south east indian taste! Tried samosa and tikki chaat, and both starters were super tasty and the portion size was enough to make you feel full! Will definitely go again and again to try main course, which we couldnt order because we were already felt that there was no space in our tummy! I highly recommend Razia kitchen to all, who wanna have good quality indian or pakistani food! Keep going and good luck
Amazing spot. Delicious food and family operated.
Amazing food! We could taste the love in everything we tried. If we weren t leaving Fredericton tonight we d be back for lunch again tomorrow.
Owner presents authentic home made Pakistani dishes. Pakora was spicy and full of flavor but not greasy; goes well with the tamarind sauce. The chicken palak was flavorful and went well with rice. The naan was freshly baked and crispy on the outside. The new patio was very nicely set up. Price was very affordable. Overall excellent value and a hidden gem.
The food and service is good. Value for money. But taste is not outstanding.
Absolutely worst restaurant. I ordered a chicken biriyani - there was no salt or spice in the biriyani, it was like plain rice. I also ordered a lamb curry with Naan - lamb curry was only 50% the container. It was filled with oil and tasteless. Instead of Naan I got pita bread.
They always serve Fresh and well cooked food. We go there almost every week. Great service keep it up.
Big portion and average taste. Tried many items and found okay. Ambience is not great, though got a good location.
I mostly order vege samosas,.... Normally they make fresh, which taste good as well.
Exceeded our expectations and insanely good. The lentil soup is mouthwatering. Very kind customer experience. I am converting to being a regular customer.
Wonderful food (tasting, and portion size), and superb service. Will definitely be returning.
We decided to dine in one evening on their quaint little patio and we enjoyed one of my favourite meals. I had the mango curry and it was the perfect compliment between the sweetness of the mango and creaminess of the sauce. My girlfriend decided on the butter chicken and said it was like every other butter chicken she s had, but better in every way. Come for the food, stay for the naan bread.
We came from Toronto and made a stop over on our Maritimes trip. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, it was comparable to Toronto which is known for its Desi food! We first ordered samosa and paratha which were fantastic. The homemade tamarind chutney was really good as well! Also ordered chicken biryani and butter chicken with naan. Both had a Lahori touch to it and I felt like we were eating at a family s house. Loved it!! Already planning on come back next week and detours to this restaurant on our way home! See you soon Razia
Food tasted great. The amount of food and price is reasonable. Hosting is great too. In short, everything is great.
Seriously amazing food. The butter chicken is the best I ve had!
Very accommodating people.
Samosa chat was extremely
Biryani was extremely good mashAllah
Best place to eat
Extremely Good , food taste is great specially biryani
Yesterday order alu paratha and it was good reminded me as i was eating at home
They always serve Fresh and well cooked food. We go there almost every week. Great service and tasty Foods....
I love this place Pure Pakistani taste & i love butter chicken & daal makhni even they served me Free drinks i love it the service is very quick & staff is very Humble
I am giving 1 star only because there is no option of giving no stars. When you order curry it comes with pita bread (not even authentic naan) and rice, but the curry only has 5 pieces of either beef/lamb/chicken the rest is gravy. It feels like you are paying for gravy. The attitude of the lady is not nice, she doesnt smile, if she does, she would only smile at people she knows very well and canadians (whites). I am not being racist, but we are treated like that. We have to wait 10 min to be seated, and they only come and attend to you if you make noise with the chair that is when they realise that someone is wanting to seat, even if you sit, you have to wait another 10min for someone to even come and take the order. Its more like as if we are sitting there, eating food for free. I would not recommend it if customer service is not nice.
Have you had their samosas yet? Our friend Ameesha shared some and now we are addicted! They are massive and the crust so crisp, light and delicious. I have only had the vegetarian ones so far and love them. A very nice little kick. And of course their butter chicken is so yummy! What a treat to have these folks in Fredericton!!
Excellent food, delicious Pakistani cuisine which we really enjoyed. The daal tarka in particular was really good!
Visiting from Toronto and were looking for a halal restaurant. Razias kitchen had one of the best karahi gosht ever. Totally worth our money and will visit again
food was very good a flavourful! staff were very nice aswell. the interior is small but very cute. Dietary restrictions: has halal options
Friendly staff and AMAZING SAMOSAS!! The vegetable samosa is by far the best samosa in town in my opinion!
Its ok... We moved back from Ontario and if youre used to Indian food from the GTA like Silver Spoon or Bombay Bhel, then its a noticeable step down in terms of quality and value. The butter chicken is nothing special - you can get a jar of KFI butter chicken at Wal-Mart or Costco, add your own chicken and youd be in better shape than ordering it here for $14. The Biryani was also lacking in flavor. Its not the worst, but I would not recommend it until they improve the food quality.
For a pakistan/India restaurant it has no spice smell at all but there is a very heavy smell of mold. And all you hear is microwave sounds.the biranyi I tried was terrible and again. No spice taste or smell at all very weird . They prob just buy Costco sauce and microwave it
It was awesome test specially Allu paratha.
Arguably the best Indian restaurant in Fredericton. I am a student and their student meal catering service helps me a lot. Delicious, nutritious, and reasonable price!
Me and my friends had gone to this restaurant yesterday from saint john and my God the food was so delicous loved eating pani puri after a long time.. the beef biryani was so good but I felt the meat pieces were a bit hard and not soft... the mango ice cream with pulp was also yummy and I loved the sweet Lassi.. my stomach was so full that I had to pack my food in a takeout box.. and also ordered an extra order of pani puri to take home with me... the service was also good.. and the place was clean..
The real Lahori food in New Brunswick. Samosa chat is a must try . The prices are very good too.
Great food!! Check it out
Hit and miss. Two times got biryani seems clearly old and microwaved. Weird bad smell. One time got biriyani tasted fresh.
I dont understand how this restaurant achieves a 4.5* rating?! The food was really poor... not traditional South Asian flavours or composition at all... butter chicken was bland in a sauce that resembled a biege gravy, the dahl had a layer of oil floating on top... and all the dishes were small servings and cold. Never again! And per other reviews, definitely not comparable to South Asian cuisine elsewhere in the world.
Best food you can have in Fredincton is here at Razia kitchen . I stayed in Fredincton for 3 months and I use to eat from there everyday, owner and her family was so nice and humble . I recommend visiting here . Thanks
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options available. And very kind staff members. Dietary restrictions: They catered to my diet requirements really nice.
Jma fikka butter chicken and panner . Lets load the water so that we can go home like this.
Very good indian food with reasonable prices.
Very good option!!
Sooo happy that we have a Pakistani restaurant in Fredericton which has all my favourite food available that i used to eat in Pakistan and have been missing them. Me and my husband go to Razia kitchen every day since its been open. And planning to try every option in the menu. Loved their gol gappas and dahi baray.
A Pakistani resturant was need since long in Fredericton. A good news now we can enjoy a delicious mouthwatering food with so many choices. Had food in Razia Kitchen two times. All the dishes was marvelous. Specialy butter chicken and shrimp curry was amazing. Barbecue is a good addition in this city. Very clean Place with good service. Well done Razia Kitchen. Keep it up.
Great home made food. Love it!
Delicious food.
The food was too delicious thanks guys
Very authentic. Great service!
Amazing, it is now a go to for me whenever in the city. Cooked with love and it shows.
Excellent food and very nice service - you can tell that the people running this restaurant care about their product as well as their community. A very nice little gem in Fredericton worth checking out.
Great food loved the lamb Biryani. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff and delicious food.
First time I had Indian food and was great. Recommend the mango chicken :)
I ve been having food here regularly and I must say the food is here just amazing. It feels like home.
Amazing food. The Biryani is to die for. Loved it!!!!
Best Chicken kadhi
Great Biryani my only complaint was the lack of raita with it. They do give yogurt, but I would have preferred raita. I would also have liked some Salan. Because I found the Biryani a bit dry. But overall great portion and awesome taste.
Great food, and great service! Will be back soon!
Awesome food with a traditional style of serving. Cannot be forgotten for a long time.
Fantastic Lamb Palak and Mango Lassi. Service was a bit slow but it seems that they are far busier than they were expecting. Still worth waiting for
I just love their Vegetable Samosa s too yummy and Fresh
The food was amazing! Will definitely be coming back!
Amazing taste and delicious food! Highly recommended.
This is an amazing family restaurant. The food is fresh and homemade. I had the mango chicken and it was so rich and delicious. The samosas were the best I ever had. It s a cozy restaurant that is perfect to sit with a friend and have a fabulous meal.
I loved ever single thing about Razia Kitchen, the restaurant, the people and the service were fantastic. Portions were perfect, prices excellent. The food was out of this world, so amazing and tasty. The samosas were the best I have ever had. My meal was the curried lamb and it was 100% cooked to perfection. i LOVE THIS PLACE.
Worst curry I ve had in my life. Watered down, no spice, curry looks like soup. Never again, can t believe this place has stars. I make better and more spicey curry at home and Im white. SO dissapointing. edit: Also I did contact you, your reply back that you were too busy to respond. So nice customer service.
Samosas were incredible!
I have been to this place twice a day. And the tea was just awesome and highly recommended . I had paani puri, aloo paratha and tadka daal. Everything was just awesome
So, if I m honest after having the food from here it s not for me. The portions are small, but expensive, and it tastes the least like butter chicken than all places I ve tried butter chicken. It tasted more like mushroom soup and is very liquidy. It s usually a darker colour and thicker. The chicken tikka was good and the beef samosas had good flavour even for small portions. I spent 75$ for this! (See photos for portions).
Mouth watering delicious food. Clean and a good hygiene environment. Very happy finally in Fredericton I can trust and enjoy a good food. Today we had the best good of our life. Yummy pani puri.. with Kashmiri chai.
Great service, amazing food and friendly staff.
Had a great meal from Razai Kitchen. Tasty and very reasonably priced .
Easily the best fries in the city, family owned and super friendly staff. My go to order is always the chicken shawarma but I have never been dissatisfied with any of their dishes. This is a place I recommend to anyone regardless of the food they like, they have something for everyone!
Very good food but a bit sloppy on the orders, i have order pick up 3x from Doordash got my order that was under my name, never got my order right. Always something missing or not the right thing.
Quality is similar to SPK but quantity had been reduced to half. Overall Its okay.
Came from toronto with the family and all these different dishes. Did not disappoint us 1 bit, everything was amazing!!!! 5 stars doesnt do u justice. Razia even gave us a treat at the end. Love this place!!!!
Best Indian food ever in Canada , came from Toronto Ontario and found a lovely family serving delicious food. Always been fan of Indian food but this place is food heaven. Must visit . Loved it so much that our plate was empty feeling shy to show the empty plate
Have been 2 times both times food great. Second time my husband messed up order totally his fault and they fixed it. Great place.
Excellent home indian food in a not fancy restaurant. Just perfect food and service
