The food is below average

We were on our way back from PEI to Ontario and we stopped by in Fredericton in search of halal food. We bought from here and was so disappointed. Portion was too small and kabobs were not fresh.

Guy at the counter was nice but food was meh.

They were nice, and the place was clean. But the food was mediocre at best. The beef was chewy and the chicken was overcooked. They were seasoned alright but just alright, even the pita was stale. Ive been to a few shwarma places across Canada and most have better food for a lower price. If this is the best fredericton has for Sharma then fredericton doesnt have much.

Highly recommended. We were visiting Fredericton for a day. Tried it for the first time and were happy to get the full value of the money. Ordered Chicken Kebob plater, Donair plater and Falafel. We enjoyed every bite.

Food was okay, shawarma rap was quite dry in therm of the chicken and sauce. Seating area is reasonable but does not accommodate large groups easily. Bathroom has a nice airlock for privacy/comfort.

Always consistent, beat kibby on the east coast.

My favorite cuisine is Lebanese food. Was my first time here and it didnt disappoint. Fresh and great tasting, really enjoyed my meal. I had the chicken kebab platter with grape leaves and fetayer.. Cozy little downtown spot with friendly staff.. Great value $$ as well..

I love this place!. It feels like a family owned kind of joint that you can always count on for the same great food every time. I tried the much more expensive Byblos and it was underwhelming compared to this gem.

I have order fattoush but what I got it is a lettuce salad . I order Falafel they juat put frozen falafel wrap in a pita. Customer service bad. The person who got my order the way drive me like this is the one an only lebanese restaurant in this planet, if you want you can eat if not get out. I dont recommend this place. I have been to Lebanon I tried most of the foods. I was glad when I saw this restaurant and stop suddenly to have some lebanese taste again. But this is not the place for that.

Love the place. Food is excellent (I had a chicken shawarma platter). The rice, the chicken, the salad, everything was succulent. Will definitely go again on a next visit in Fredericton.

This place is wayyy over rated. Probably because theres nothing to compare it to in little old Fredericton . Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. The chicken was dry and the bread wasnt even grilled. Hardly any fresh toppings and the hot sauce I asked for was the generic Franks buffalo sauce. Thats what I call lazy. The price was too high for the lack of quality and the service and atmosphere was average.

I recommend eating in because they plate the food wonderfully. The garlic sauce is superior, a kind of garlic paradise really, and the hummus is top-notch, slightly thick but also distinct. I had the kabob combo and the beef skewer and the salad were very good. The rice was perhaps not on the same level. Its a pricey combo but that probably reflects the times we live in. I recommend.

Small restaurant with great middle eastern cuisine. The food is very good. The shawarma platter has a lot of food and is very reasonably priced, as are the wraps. Friendly staff. The washroom was clean and smelled fresh, an important point for me. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Foods amazing. As per usual quality takes time so order in advance if youre looking to get it quick. The dining area is small and unappealing, I prefer to take the food to go.

Chicken shawarma was ok, not great. The mayonnaise was cold and the meat was hot which gave weird combo of hot and cold in my mouth.

Big portion taste good but little bit on the dry side.

Tried their shawarmas and really liked them! Reminded me of living in Ottawa. Lots of flavour unlike some of the other restaurants in NB that generally serve bland food. EDIT: Had to update my review. MidSea updated their decor, and I love the new atmosphere.

MIDSEA? ain t nothing MID about that delicious meal! Had the chicken salad! And the beef shawarma! The Tzatziki was INCREDIBLE!!!! The hummus was some of the best I ve ever had. Will be back for sure.

Very solid choice if youre looking for shawarma, food is prepared fresh and in a timely fashion. Dine-in experience is serviceable, but I generally recommend take out since its not ideal for larger groups. Service is always friendly and the prices are reasonable given the quality delivered. The only issue? Your standards might be raised a bit too high to ever enjoy other (less amazing) such restaurants again. Update, late 22: Still doing great.

Food tasted good. Quick service. Even though you have to add a bunch of items as add-on to you meal the price is comparable to other restaurants nearby.

Ive been getting supper from midsea every week or two for years, tried a bunch on the menu and have yet to find something I didnt like. I always order for takeout. Never had to wait and its always been excellent. Top notch place; theyre remarkably consistent.

We had shrimp and rice with Greek salads. The food was interesting and well prepared. The waitress didnt offer drinks when we ordered at the counter. The restaurant was spotless and modern.

Delicious! The food is homemade and made fresh to order. Atmosphere is lovely, quiet and clean, as well as modern. Although it it is primarily a takeout restaurant, the seating area was nice and did not feel like an afterthought. Prices are very reasonable, and portion size is generous. We will definitely be back!

I have always loved this restaurant because the food is so delicious! However, after the way the staff just spoke to me, I won t be back! It doesn t matter how good the food is, if you treat me like I m wasting your time, I will happily go elsewhere. So disrespectful.

Oh how I long for real Lebanese cuisine. Beef shawarma platter came with tough as leather non shaved beef strips, no pickled turnip (oh the humanity!!!), no Lebanese potato (I asked if they had them and the very friendly man told me that no one makes them and to make them there it would require prep!!!??? Wow!) and no garlic sauce or tabouli! Deep fried potato wedges. My advice, stop canadianizing your food! Lebanese food is awesome. Also, I didnt see signage that it was Halal meat but I read that it is. So if you have issues with animal cruelty youll want to order vegetarian. Very clean and nice folks.

I was so excited to try a new to me mediterranean restaurant while in Fredericton for work. I ate here 4 times within the last 2 weeks. The first 3 times the food was good and fresh but a little on the slow side between 15 and 20 mins for a wrap or greek salad with nobody ahead of you. Each time the same female server was barely friendly making me feel more like a burden not a customer but I always brushed it off. On the 4th occasion I politely and respectfully asked if my order was mixed up? For what I was given was not what I ordered based how it was described on the menu or from past experiences at several different establishments. She immediately got very defensive, loud, and aggressive. Saying no that is what you ordered without even looking at my food. So here I am for my first time in my life getting yelled at by the server when I was just trying to correct what I thought was an easy silly order mix up. I try not to complain, never have I wrote a negative review and I usually give places a second chance but I do not want to go back here which is a shame as this place has tremendous potential to be a favorite place to go when in town. If the owner reads this I cant express how important it is to have employees who like their job or willing to at the very least pretend to, this women clearly hates her job and her negative attitude and behavior will destroy your nice little restaurant. Typically rude people dont bother me as they could be having a bad day or whatever, she was rude and beyond for over 2 weeks from what I experienced so shes not having a bad day. There are several reviews on here that seem to have experienced her as well. Shes not having a bad day, shes just not fit to work with the public and needs some major anger management help.

Really enjoyed the chicken shwarma the few times Ive bought one. Service was also very quick despite there only being two people working and a dozen or so customers ordering within 10 minutes. Good amount of seating, just wish the place was a little bigger as it can get a little cramped with so many waiting on their order. Great place to visit and worth checking out.

Everything seemed off. Food was just ok, but the atmosphere wasnt great. The displayed menu is unreadable, which requires the staff to point you to the handheld version if you want to order anything.

So good, delicious shawarma , garlic sauce and salad. Definitely ranked one of my top fav places to eat in Fredericton.

Great Lebanese Halal Food specially if you are visiting and looking for Halal Restaurant. This is the place to go, tried chicken shawarma and chicken shawarma platter and it was quite good. Just a little overpriced.

So, the food is very filling, however, the only thing that really changes is the type of meat you are getting as a majority of the plates come with rice, vegetables and a flat bread. It is good. But.......I ordered two plates, that were supposedly 15 bucks per plate, and a child plate, for 12. My spouse went to pick up, and when he got back, the bill was 62.00, if I had known at the time what he paid I would have questioned them, but I didnt look at my bank account until a couple of days after the fact. I feel so fkn gypped, sadly, I will not be ordering from them again.

One of my great finds in my hometown! Plates are very generous, and the rice is sublime! I had the kafta kabob, but I waited a bit too long to eat the meat, so it was a bit tough. The kibbys were killer, and the chicken shawarma is one of my top favourites! Meat is very tender.

we came here with a group of 5 and didn t give the owner much notice. within 20 minutes we all had delicious and satisfying meals. we re still talking about how good the food here was!

This place was a great spot that we happened to stumble across and boy theu did not dissappoint. Portion quality and speed served by a courteous counter server.....i will look for it again when i the Capitalcity.
