A beautifully designed mid-century modern space in a century's old downtown building. We open for coffee in the am and we stay open serving beverages into the am. We have a day and evening food menu with the kitchen open late. We offer some small plates, charcuterie boards, main course dishes, as well as, weekly desert features. We produce craft cocktails with house made syrups, fresh squeezed juices and house flavored rimming salts. Offer only New Brunswick produced beer and ciders, a selection of cans, bottles and tap. We have roughly two dozen wines on our menu, a selection starting at $35 bottle and going up. Freshly roasted espresso, latte, cappuccino available day and night, available for take away.

I heard good reviews and went there today. It was so good. Amanda recommended me something based on my preferences, and it was great. Highly recommend this on weekends late at night. Once again, thanks to Amanda for extraordinary service and great recommendations. It would be great if they have more vegetarian options, but their cocktails are great.
It's a beautiful resto-bar with a cool vibe. We had a terrific meal - special recommendation for the bao buns appetizer! Another cool shoutout to the strawberry shortcake with-everything-in-it-homemade! The waitress was professional and charming. The menu offers something for every taste and the bar is sophisticated enough to come up with a sensational cocktail based on preferences. We'll be back for sure!
Just had another awesome night out at The Provincial. The atmosphere - from the chic decor to the tabletop candlelight and fresh flowers to the cool music - set a vibe you can't find anywhere else in Fredericton. The martinis are the best in town and the shareable plates were delicious. Shout out to Devon and Amanda for their excellent service. Highly recommend for a date night or drinks with the girls....
I came in this evening to try the new menu and I don’t even know where to begin!!!! I had the pleasure of being served by Devin, he was absolutely wonderful!! He was perfectly attentive and recommended the utmost delicious mocktails I have ever had!!!!! I ordered 4 apps to start because I simply could not choose, each were truly out of this world!!!! The various flavour combinations were curated to perfection. I love scallops and often get them where ever I go, and when I tell you these were the BEST bacon wrapped scallops I have ever had, yall I am not exaggerating. They were cooked and glazed beautifully, accompanied by a delectable aioli. I also had to get two mains, I chose the lamb shank and the halibut and oh my goodness!!! The lamb melts in your mouth and the halibut was to die for!! The perfect flavour combinations!!! Because everything was so good I had to get both deserts, and they too were just as incredible. The hazelnut brownie trifle was such a delightful twist on a classic dessert and the coconut and passion fruit semifreddo is now my most favourite thing I’ve ever eaten. This meal was the best meal I have ever had, from start to finish. The flavours were so fresh and so unexpected but just so exceptionally done. The staff is lovely! I love that the owners are so involved in every aspect, it shows through in everything that they do!!! They genuinely appreciate everyone, it just adds such wonderful touch to an already magnificent experience!!!! If you’re visiting Fredericton, or even just want to have an exceptional gourmet meal you need to come here!!!
The first restaurant I’ve been to since leaving Toronto that made me feel like I was home! The service was incredible. The vibes are wonderful. The cocktails are creative and inspired. Definitely a new favourite for us!
I really enjoyed this place! The staff was very nice, they let us choose where we’d like to sit, which was nice to have the option. Service was quick as well and they checked on us between every dish. My main meal was delicious, I got their seafood fettuccine. Portions are a little small but that’s typically expected for a fancier place. I would definitely recommend an appetizer along with your meal. I got the chef’s board for my appetizer, which wasn’t anything too impressive. There was a goat cheese on it that I really enjoyed, but the rest was sort of just regular meats & cheese and I prefer lots of variety in a charcuterie board. For the price (33) I’ve definitely had more interesting boards else where. Great to split but I wouldn’t splurge on it like I did. Their drinks were good but I’m not a big drink person, I don’t wanna taste the alcohol in my drink and you definitely could in theirs. I did have their crème brûlée for desert and it was alright but it was only my second crème brûlée and i just don’t think i’m a fan. Overall I highly recommend this place!
It was our first time and it was such an amazing experience! Tried their mushroom on toast and fried gnocchi with pesto - while the mushroom on toast was simply delicious, the gnocchi felt a bit bland. However, it was a great balance with the pesto. Our server was Amanda - probably the best service we’ve had after a long time. We wanted a drink on the sweeter side and she was so nice to offer options that were off the menu. Our order came out pretty fast and she always made sure to check on us. Overall, an amazing friends night out! 💯
Added: also the tuna is amazing and the old fashioned is perfect. This is the definition of a well run, well crafted cocktail and foodie spot. The attentive and personal service was great. The two of us ordered four plates and left stuffed. Then there were the cocktails, I almost had to carry my spouse out. We will definitely return. Thumbs up for the brie, sweet chilli chicken and pork belly. The special of the night was the roasted carrots over pureed parsnip.

Made a reservation (on the phone-where the server took all our details, discussed seating etc.) for a large group, turned up at the restaurant....restaurant was closed.... From the next door cafe we found out that due to management changes there is no certainty as to when the place is closed or open...

Came there for a visit from Halifax for a weekend getaway. The drinks, service and food are excellent. Not very many bars in Fredericton, this place was the saving grace lol.

The Provincial s food and drinks are amazing. Grest atmosphere. The cocktails are yummy and havent been disappointed with the food yet. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They make you feel like a VIP.

About 6 years ago I was introduced to cocktails. If youd said to me before that moment that making drinks was a work of art - Id have called hyperbole - but trust me: taste and you will see. Just as with great food, every available tool is used to maximize an engaging experience... this isnt a job, its an art. Today... weve got that art in Fredericton and you need look no further than Queen Street. Kanye are doing more than elevating the service - theyre creating the experiences that I think the Provincial had in mind when it was visioned - happy customers, with high standards, who feel comfortable here and who keep coming back!
The food is outstanding in flavour and presentation. The Expresso Martini will become an addiction.
Have frequented the Provincial many times over the last few months. Usually, we try out the cocktails which are always fantastic. Last week, we stopped for supper. Wow! Great food, great presentation.

I will neither come back nor recommend this place to anybody. They have a patio that s reserved for their friends only. If you re not friends with anybody who works there you ll never get a seat/table in their patio. It s insulting coz you ll see vacant seats and tables but they ll tell you they re full. Slap in the face! They will tell you to stay inside the lounge where drinks are expensive so you ll be prioritized for a space in the patio which is so untrue coz you ll notice their friends who came after you get seats at the patio after a while. People should spend their money somewhere that promotes fun and fairness.
OMG, all I can say was that the Tuna Steak was seasoned perfectly, and it melted in your mouth. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very knowledgeable about beverages. Its a great bougie vibe

Unfortunately our night (my mom s 50th birthday) was ruined when our waitress spilled an espresso martini all over my mom s white crochet dress and white linen shirt. I was quite disappointed in how the managers (especially Patrick) did literally nothing to resolve this issue. It definitely should not cost a guest their clothing to eat/drink here. It should have been a no brainer to offer replacements. Do not go here. You will be disappointed with their customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Went here last night for my parters birthday and it was a great time. Booking reservations was simple and they were really accommodating ! Amazing service, prompt, drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect! Engaged and friendly staff too! Great job! Will definitely think of this spot for my next get together.

Best cocktails in Fredericton!
Decided to go for New Years. Hadn t been in over a year and the cocktail menu and service has improved significantly since they first opened. We had a great time and the service was absolutely fantastic.

Food was good but cocktails had no taste of spirits as well as special Irish coffee just tasted black coffee with whipped cream fist time there and based on drinks -sadly last time

Decent food/drinks. Had an extremely poor experience with a waiter (rude, rushed us out, and talked down to us repeatedly). The owner replied 2 weeks later to my complaint and didnt seem genuine in his apology. Unfortunate, since Beatz N Eatz (behind them) is incredible....

We visited The Provincial and loved it. The drinks are amazing and the small bites menu was interesting and delicious. Our server, Amanda, was excellent and we appreciated that the Manager was present and helping deliver food or checking in with guests. The atmosphere is great and this is a well-run business. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxed atmosphere, quality cocktails. The food isnt really the focus here but its good enough to keep you going until the next drink.
Hate to leave a less than 5 star review but we called ahead in the evening to check the kitchens hours and were told they would be open till 12. When we arrived (10:30/11ish) we were immediately seated and handed menus however after us ordering 2 cocktails (thus creating a 32 dollar bill) and receiving them we were told the kitchen had closed early. We then had to grab our bill in order to go try and find somewhere else that was still serving food. The cocktails were DELICIOUS but we should have been notified as we were seated that there was no food available.
Good layout but horrible wait time and wouldn t come back because of that. Was seated and waited over 45 minutes before getting out first drink. Waitress didn t stop in once during that time. Table but no service? What s the point?
Actually sat in The Lot, got drinks from The Provincial but food from Beats and Eats. We did start inside The Provincial, and it looks great inside. I personally felt pretty underdressed when inside, but the atmosphere outside was really chill and great. Drinks were good, maybe slightly overpriced, but worth it for the location. Thanks for the reply! I actually just got craft beer Good to know re: the cocktails though, they sound yummy!
Great Cocktails!
Large cocktail selection and amuse bouche menu combined with elegant atmosphere make the indoors a fun place. The Lot outdoor section provides a nice getaway in the middle of downtown from afternoon to evening
The Lot (back alley patio setup) is very cool. Option to choose from Provincial menu or order from the food truck on site.

What a great place to come for drinks and food, I had 2 orders of their mussels simply fantastic, my husband really enjoyed his beef sandwich, and service was the best lovely staff, would definitely comeback.
Honestly, I had a wonderful time! The Kingsman and French 75 are to die for, the Afghan red bean curry was exquisite! Staff are very accommodating and everything was made with attention to detail!
Incredible cocktails .
The provincial is an excellent niche in the downtown core. The drinks are perfectly curated and second only to the excellent service from the staff. Great for a cocktail hour after work or an intimate date night with the special someone. Love the big city vibe with the hospitality that downtown Fredericton is known for.

Went here on a Friday night around 7:30 with a couple of friends. We were able to get a super cozy back booth (we didnt have a reservation but asked for a quiet spot where conversation would be easy). The staff were very accommodating. We ordered a few rounds of cocktails: YMBB, Granny Smitten, and Cosmopolitan. All drinks were fantastic and served promptly by our fantastic server, Jessica! Our favorite of the 3 was probably Granny Smitten. Service: 10 out of 10. Atmosphere: 10/10. And you cant beat the convenient location of downtown with lots of parking. We had an amazing time here and ended leaving well after midnight. Thank you to the staff at The Provincial for being fabulous
Really the only place for a craft cocktail in the city. The technique and drinks are worth the price.

Awesome place to come for predrinks on a night out with friends or your partner. Or you can enjoy the whole night with a great selection of small plates. Great cocktails staff is very attentive. Attracts a hip crowd and great music from the 90s and 2000s.

Cocktails are excellent. Seating could be a bit better and the mood lighting was a bit TOO moody for my taste. Still, a place where you can get a high end cocktail for a good price is a welcome addition to downtown Freddy.

Great spot in downtown Fredericton for well mixed cocktails and good eats. Check out the old art deco relief and round windowed doors, dating from its time as a movie theatre.
