Great spot for drinks and live music. Attended a private function here and it was great. Only downside is the fact Ashton’s are upstairs and if you’re having drinks it’s a liability.

We loved this place's vibes. Service is outstanding, the beer selection up to our expectations and food choice is exquisite. My husband and I could chat long without loud music or excessive noise. Prices are fairly affordable
I went, whilst already 6 drinks deep, and listened to the live band that was playing at the time. It was an amazing experience. I did not get any food, nor was I subjected to any service, but the vibes were good!
Arrived and seated ourselves and waited to be served. Service was quite pleasant, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Had poutine and shock top and friend had garlic fries and Irish coffee. Drinks were great but fries were a bit on the salty side for my preference but other than that no complaints.
A great spot to have a pint and a few laughs. Not only can you get everything one would assume you can get from an Irish pub (Guinness, fish n chips, burger, bangers and Mash etc), they have spins on the classics and offer extras such as live music, trivia nights and a nice spot to watch sports if you're into that sort of thing. Today, we had the wings which were standard, Dubliner fries which were a nice and flavourful spin on classic pub fries, but also a nacho I have never experienced anywhere else in the world. It had some of the standard toppings like cheese and peppers, but also an olive tamponade and mussels. A wide array of flavours that kept you guessing in a good way what the next bite was going to be like. The service was impeccable and friendly and the servers today managed to stay very attentive even amongst the world cup hecticness. Pair all these qualities with it's great location and the live music from their outdoor patio in the summers and it makes Dolan's one of my favourite pubs in town.
Always a great place to catch up with friends or organize a small going away dinner. Awesome selection of local and classic pub beer's and cider on Tap. Awesome donar and wraps. Kettle chips are okay but the dipping sauce and sweet potatoe fries are definitely on my list of things to order next time. All covid-19 protocols are being used at least until 9pm when I left. The maze to get the end of the bar is fun to use and watch others use. Totally recommend the new Greek wrap.
Server was awesome. $22/pitcher of beer is extremely pricey. I've been to tourist towns in Alberta where everything is expensive and a pricey pitcher there is $15-17. Wasn't expecting that. Food was decent pub food. Live band was awesome. Big place, lots of space. Would return.

Great typical Irish pub. Parking: There are about a dozen paid parking.lot but usually full, as the pub is in a quasi- food plaza. There is nearby paid parking, which is very economical and patrolled gor safety but also checking for non.paid vehicles
Murray deserves a raise. This man was everywhere and right beside you when you needed a new drink.
Great atmosphere, staff is always fantastic
I had the fish and chips, fish tasted like frozen fish sticks from a grocery store. The fries were way to salty. The service was actually pretty good.
Didnt care for the wings
Awesome mozzarella sticks. Beer choice is limited, not in number but in type, if you like dark beer.
I was going to tell the waiter that the six of us at the table enjoyed the live music but would not order food as no one liked it when they ate there. We went to another restaurant. Hope they read this and ask customers their experiences. Wifes hamburger was burnt, and my fish was greasy and fries burnt.

Ate at Dolans last night. Decided to try the Dublin Coddle. Omg. It was sooooo delicious! Oh, and the Oysters were wonderful. Nice and big.

Nice live music. Burger was overcooked
Met a friend here for supper and the entertainment. It was very busy but we were able to order right away and food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Love going to Dolans!!
Great beer and band.
Loved the atmosphere, loved that they had live music. I think they played from 5 to 7 pm 11 May 2024. Was disappointed they had no drink specials at all. Or any that day. Considering it was Mothers Day weekend , there were obviously plenty of families in the pub celebrating. Had the Burger and Cheever fries. The burger was good. The fries were terrible. Considering it was $3 extra for cheeder fries. Cheeder fries turned out to be a miniscule amount of very finely grated cheese and placed in the oven, drying out the finely grated cheese and fries. Skip the cheeder fries. The writers personality was not rude in any way. however, he lacked friendliness, energy, info & communication to a point where interactions with him felt almost uncomfortable. However, he was very quick to keep the drinks full. Overall, it was a good time. If you have trouble with stairs, getting to the bathroom might be a concern.
Pretty decent first time experience. The food was a little overcooked but the drinks were strong and made right. Service was fair and one of the wait staff looks like a young Susanna Hoffs. Also... the band The Unheard were great
Service was good. Loved the look of the bar. Classic pub look. I was surprised with the number of teenage looking people though. Definitely cut into the vibe of the night with people who consider bands like Nirvana as classic rock music. The live band was good! Some Newfie stomping happened. Its been a while since I was in a place that pumped out some island tunes.
Wonderful little pub in the downtown core. Great food and atmosphere. Wonderful place to relax with friends and listen to great local talent.
Wow wow good pizza
I have always loved this place. Unfortunately tonight I grabbed a table and was ridiculed until I left. I asked the bartender if I could pay with debit or cash in any way and he said no. This was a lie. Seated at my table if I waited for my server they would have brought a pos(point of service) machine. After the bartender flicked the lights on at 1:30 I asked if that meant last call, he says yes. I walk up to the bar and ask if I have to pay cash or can use the machine, then the manager? cut in. He was mid size, lean, grey and buzz cut. He said youre done get out of here. I laughed and assumed he was joking... However he came out and confronted me saying youre just complaining trying to get another drink I didnt even try to order another drink nor wanted one. After being escorted out, I called an uber and then asked if I could use the restroom before leaving. Once again the response was incredibly hostile and the manager? said Im going to talk to Barry the owner tomorrow at 3pm about you. Youre not gonna be welcome here ever again. I dont live here but have always recommended this place to anyone in the area. Barry this is not how I remembered this bar :(.

I enjoy going beer and food, dolans is one of my happy places in Fredericton! Feel more Irish and great staff always making me feel welcome! I set at my table and they quickly come! I enjoy Saturday because the music! The singer is a nice guy

I found the food sounds better on the menu than what you actually get. Famous fish and chips are bland. Smoked meat sandwich was a single thick slab of brisket (meat was great) on bread...

VERY DIRTY pub. Needs new flooring, refurbish banquet chairs.... Had a peek through their kitchen window.... its discusting! Too bad cause food is good and staff friendly.

Ordered the burger and the dubliner cheddar fries. Burger was good, cheddar fries had one or two measly strands of cheese....not worth the extra couple of bucks.
241 drinks r great on friday and good patio with sunshine i give it 5 stars also they include free water with ur meal wich is.... nice plus the server gave up fun trivia about the bolivian revolution so we laughd n learnd

Service was good, place was extremely crowded, the live music was great, and the cocktails were watery. The good and the bad kind of balance things out, it s a great place to catch a vibe with friends if you don t mind so many people considering the times we are in.
One of my favorite pubs in Fredericton, great atmosphere and staff. The staff here really have it dialed in. I only wish that steak was a regular pub item, I was super disappointed Thursday night when I was unable to order one of your delicious steaks to enjoy before the band. Our party unfortunately left Dolans to find a steak dinner elsewhere and didnt end up returning for the band. Other than this minor hiccup this pub is awesome, I highly recommend checking them out. Ill definitely be back for another steak dinner.
Nice place with a decent menu
Toronto hockey game was on a projecting screen when we came in. Received prompt and friendly service. The drinks were as ordered and the sound was loud and clear. Switched over to Shameless and it was great! Everything sounded awesome and the crowd was really lively. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Just know the washroom taps may burn you -- cold water not working -- and the seats closest to the stage may get pushed back once the crowd gets dancing. Super fun time and would absolutely come back (but more prepared this time )

Amazing atmosphere, fantastic staff, awesome live music, and a tasty, comfort food menu! Havent been here in ten years and coming back I was so happy to see they havent lost the charm I fell in love with all that time ago!

You cant beat this spot in the summer. Big patio where you can enjoy a drink in the sun. Get under one of the umbrellas for shade as you sip your beverage if it gets too hot. Good selection of domestic beer, a handful of craft and all the liquor you want (including a couple bourbon). Menu has lots of good choices with the requisite fish & chips and pub grub you expect. Vegan power bowl is a welcomed new addition - fresh & tasty. Pro tip - get that patio table under the tree for a truly glorious summer sit.

A few of us enjoyed some live music (Harvest Fest) out on the patio at Dolans last Saturday night, but the bouncers were running around trying to ensure everyone was paying the cover charge, which was distracting. The guy in charge wasnt very polite to some of the staff and some patrons who didnt know they had to pay cover.
Havent been to Dolans in some time but it hasnt changed and the atmosphere is exactly how I remember it. Im just older now love you Dolans!!!!!
Good food, decent beer. Staff is friendly, and theres a band almost every weekend. The stairs to the bathroom have been the bane of my existence on multiple occasions, however I continue to tempt fate and stumble upon them. They havent killed me yet, and I defy them to keep trying. Someday I will ultimately defeat those stairs, or die trying.
Fun vibe, live music nights on the weekends was great! Friendly staff and friendly regulars to chat with.

My favourite location of the few in the area
This establishment doesn t care about your safety. The stairs in their bar were wet and covered in glass. I fell wearing sneakers. I cut my torso open severely. The staff was horrible to me and I felt humiliated on top of my injury.

The mozarella bites are awesome, as well as the fish n chips. However, a salad or a little greenery would have been missing on the plate. The pub offers a limited choice of local beers, but still excellent!
