11th Mile in Fredericton

Just finished eating here for the first time and what a fantastic spot. I have been in Fredericton for several years and I feel like 11th Mile for me is the same thing as those classic movies that everyone says they love, but you for some reason just never get around to watching. Well, this was our first day of my vacation Advent calendar I created for my wife for us to discover and eat our way around new spots (to us) in town and its going to be hard to top this. Having travelled extensively in our lives, my wife and I both agreed that this felt like the trendiest place in town with an all around great vibe. The service was great and you could tell that the owners truly care seeing as how they were also out on the busy floor serving occasionally. Thats always the first step to a great restaurant. Then of course comes the food. Ive heard many say that while the food is fantastic, its pricey. We would agree, but pricey for a good reason. You can tell that the ingredients are top notch. The cooking was perfect. The flavour combinations, often unique for Fredericton. The beef tostadas were a single bite but a myriad of flavours. The scallion pancake was reminiscent of our lives in China, but for folks whove lived there, its a bit more doughy than were used to. That said, delicious. The accompanying sauce was perfect. The flank steak at medium rare was cooked perfectly and unbelievably tender while the chimichurri sauce added a nice punch of slightly spicy flavour. Pork belly is a dish that is extremely popular in East Asia where my wife and I met and lived. This one was on par with some of the best dongporou Ive ever had (its not for those who know the dish). The only thing I would say is it would be nice if there were either a salty or acidic addition to the dish to balance out the various sweet elements. The sauce does a nice job, but a little more could have perfected things I think. We also had one of the best white wines I think weve ever tasted here and are now hoping we can find it outside this restaurant. Finally, we finished things off with the peanut butter semifreddo which was Lucious, smooth and had the perfect balance with the crunch from the candies pecans. Well done 11th Mile, I should have come here a lot sooner. Parking: Free street parking after 5pm in weekdays on free on weekends.

The 11th Mile was one of my more pleasant surprises in recent years. I was visiting Fredericton for a friends birthday dinner and had never heard of the 11th Mile. Im sort of a carnivore, I tend to gravitate to beef dishes (Their Flank Steak dish is wonderful), but probably for the first time ever I enjoyed the veggie dishes with equal aplomb ...The olives arrived looking like a Scotch egg, but Wow they were delicious. The Scallion pancakes were amazing, Gnocchi wonderful, peanut butter ice cream two thumbs up....I could go on, but I think you see my direction! If you ever get to Fredericton try this little gem. I dont think you will be disappointed .....

Service was top notch! Ambiance was lovely. Brussel sprouts were amazing as was the salmon main. After the sprouts and salmon the beef was lacking a punch of flavor. It needs a little something extra. Overall great experience that would have been amazing of the beef had been more flavourful.

The food at 11th mile was very nice but the service could be improved on, I ordered 2 drinks, 1 starter, 2 mains and a desert, the drinks came out quickly, but the mains took about 50 minutes. When food arrived, the server said our table had 30 minutes left to eat, and then we would have to go. Many tables had been there for longer than us and had not been notified they would have to go. This is quite rude for a resteraunt where I had just spent 100+ on dinner. I would not recommend it and am not planning on returning. Fredericton is home. Supporting local is important to me

Wow! I ve lived in the maritimes for about 8 years and first time in Fredericton I m a little surprised to find the best restaurant I ve yet been to out east! The staff were so lovely and truly went above and beyond, the owner Jenny was very generous with her time to chat with me and share a bit about the place and her inspirations for the cocktails, and the food wow! Nothing else to say really. Stunningly delicious and very memorable, even the small bites. I had the taco special which was phenomenal and the regular menu beef tostadas which were divine. All in all, truly a great experience. I will be recommending this place to everyone I meet!

Given the reviews and the price, I was expecting more than a meh meal. We had the scallion pancake, gnocchi w. lamb , cavatelli, chicken katsu, and pork belly. Nothing in particular stood out but the gnocchi was the best of the bunch.

WOW! Amazing amazing amazing, that s all I can say. Fabulous eats and amazing cocktails in a small but quaint setting. The chefs change up the menu a bit but if you can get the pork belly, roasted cauliflower, or carpaccio - go for it! The most original food I ve had in a restaurant in a long time.

A true gem in beautiful Fredericton. Delicious and elegant food, inventive cocktails and a great wine list. It reminded us of those great little neighbourhood restaurants in Montreal where reservations are impossible to get. We ll be back.

We came without really knowing what to expect and had a wonderful time! Every dish was really good, especially the chicken katsu and the roasted delicata which were absolutely perfect! (Still dreaming about the roasted delicata!!) The desserts were also very tasty, and the service was great! I cant recommend it enough Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian (and vegan?) options on the menu

It is Fredericton s best restaurant and I enjoy having dinner there. However, I do find it irritating that every time I make a reservation they tell me there is an hour and a half time limit. We went over by 10 minutes tonight and we felt pressured to leave. I have never experienced this in any other restaurant.

Big fan! Quaint little space ideal for sharing plates and as a plant-powered patron, I feel they make some great plates to choose from. Only thing lacking is a vegan dessert. So many great options that it would be the only thing I would say needs a wee bit of attention.

What a lovely experience! Love tapas/shareable style restaurants; definitely recommend a reservation during peak evenings. I went two nights ago and Im still craving the food! Its nice to be in a restaurant where hospitality and quality of food is of high priority since after COVID has shifted the restaurant game. Feels like a trendy restaurant in dt Toronto but welcomed with friendly faces of Fredericton. Looking forward to my next night of cocktails and cuisine there.

Best part: food was SO flavourful and very elevated. Worst part: nothing to complain about. Portions were enough but not huge. Felt compelled to leave something negative for a balanced review but honestly it was great. No pictures, food was SO good it was gone before we thought about it. Came here last night with my wife for our anniversary. Excellent spot to sit and enjoy some delicious little bites and some of the best made cocktails in the city. Not huge portions but they make up for it in flavor. Highly recommend.

Simply put, this place was incredible. It was intended as a celebratory meal before family left town, and the food and service together made for a night that has to be my top meal for 2022. Do not be fooled by the size of the menu, every single dish is incredible. I would definitely recommend going with a few people so that you can try as much as possible. For the quality of the dishes, they are more than worth the price. I love to cook but even I had trouble figuring out how exactly the chef had put together the current menu. I cannot wait until I can go back again and I could not recommend it highly enough to anyone visiting or living in Fredericton.

Came in for my birthday. The environment and staff were both nice. The food was great and the menu well thought out. Also a great bar that was more than willing to make drinks on their previous menus and off menu as well, the cocktails were very good.

Overall a bit mixed on the whole experience. The service was really good and the cocktail menu is the best Ive found in Fredericton (yes, better than The Provincial) but I found the food to be pretty underwhelming. Me and my wife did the sharing plates and got: shaved brussels sprouts salad - Not bad, not great. Definitely better ways to do up brussels sprouts. crab cakes - These were the best of the bunch but in the way that crab cakes are pretty much always great everywhere you go cavatelli - not bad, but not much in the way of flavour. the pork belly - This was the big disappointment. We love restaurant pork belly in general but this one just felt really plain. Really could have used something to spice it up a bit. Cocktail menu was on point. Ordered 3 or 4 different ones, liked them all. Cant remember the names of them (looks like the online menu is different from the one we had) but you really cant go wrong here. Service was really good two. Its a small place with only a few tables so a server is usually within range. Good loungey ambience and a great little date spot. I guess the only real letdown was the food. You get a certain expectation with small plate dining that the food you get in those small qualities is going to really impress and I really didnt feel it did. I think they change up their menu a fair bit so your mileage may vary.

Whoever runs this restaurant fully understands what it takes to please a palate. The tostado tasted like my mothers Pho meat that simmered for hours, although I understand its a complete different culture but it tasted that great. The entrees were also very good but this one was the most memorable. The portions are regular portions, almost tapas portions. I tried the duck, steak and salmon. All cooked to perfection with polenta and potato sides that were professionally constructed. I had a red cab from Sonoma (California) that was also amazing which complemented the variety of flavours. By looking at the menu you see that the Chef incorporates multiple flavours but he/she masters her/his culinary skills because the menu is simple and yet it tasted powerful Service was perfect. Pricey. Very clean. Cozy place. Bring your dates here. Bring your spouse here. Bring your family here.

We went for a birthday dinner. Had portion of pretty much everything on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had a nice cocktail with a few Whiskeys in it, yum. Atmosphere was great, great music in the background. I highly recommend.

Lovely little bistro with refined, fresh and creative food well prepared. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the friendly bartender as she mixed up delicious cocktails. Great atmosphere and a good vibe. Would recommend to anyone looking for a positive, casual atmosphere in which to enjoy refined small plates. Hope we can return.

Her knowledge of cocktail and drink preparation, service and storage is uncomparable to most. Both her and Peter are there EVERY DAMN DAY, a duo that is so invested in their business and staff. Take the time out of your day to visit or order from their curbside pick up. You will not be dissapointed!

Above all else, the customer service was 100. A different chef would come serve my plate (including my dessert) and I was kept up with my entire time there. Ive never had an experience like that I cannot wait to be back!

What s good: The food. It competes with some of the top restaurants in Atlantic Canada. What s not: The service, while pleasant, is slow / inattentive. The timing of the food is way off. Just no pace whatsoever... which detracts from the amazing food quality. We were basically finished our meal and done with eating after over an hour, but still had to wait another 20 min for our final dish.

What a gem to find in Fredericton. My husband and I stopped by for lunch yesterday. The decor was relaxed and I absolutely loved the limited menu. That tells me the chef thinks and rotates his dishes through based on what seasonal ingredients are available. I had the Steak Tartine and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and you could cut it with a butter knife. I also have weird food sensitivities and he personally came to talk to us. Y all have to try this place!

I was visiting from out of province and Ive gotta say, this place would be at home in any of the bigger cities. The cocktails were top notch and each dish was delicious. The bar bites satisfied and were good value, and the small plates were excellent as well. The togarashi popcorn, pork belly, broccoli, and blistered snap peas really stood out among the dishes we ordered. Textures, flavours, and visual appeal all mixed very well with respect to the various components of each dish. The gnocchi was probably the most uninteresting plate we ordered, but it was still tasty. The walnut cake and lemon curd was a fine way to end our meal. It was a quiet evening with only one other party seated, and service was attentive but not overbearing. I think this is the first time that I havent been asked how my meal was mid-mouthful; thank you for just letting us enjoy our meal. We did order a lot of plates, and they all came out at a good pace that allowed us to enjoy our food and conversation. Keep up the good work! Im so glad I chose this as our last meal before leaving Fredericton.

From someone who frequents restaurants as much as I do, having this kind of experience means a lot.

Arguably the most adventurous dining in Fredericton. More a tapas style restaurant with smaller dishes. So order a few things. Went for dinner with my wife, we shared 3 small plates and 3 main plates. So good. The brussel sprouts dish is a must. Excellent cocktail menu too.

Can t say enough positive things about the 11th Mile. The cocktails and food are amazing!!! Worth every minute of the 90 minute drive to get there. A unique dining experience, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and excellent service! You owe it to yourself to try it once ... guaranteed you will return. (PS Although this is a wheelchair accessible restaurant, calling ahead is recommended. This allows for the best seating option)

Delicious dinner! The gnocchi with smokey bacon was divine and the peanut butter semi freddo and the chocolate panna cotta were gorgeous (shared! )

Had the most wonderful Time at the 11th Mile this evening! Jenny & Peter hosted our daughters surprise 30th Birthday party. It was amazing! Food, drinks & atmosphere was the best. Cant thank you & your staff enough for making our daughter feel so special!

This is THE best restaurant in Fredericton, and New Brunswick, bar none. A jewel of a place featuring fine food at mid-range prices. Service is top-notch. Owners Jennie and Peter make you feel like family friends. Cool vibe, but also family friendly. A must-visit!

Finally - the kind of restaurant that Fredericton desperately needs. Unique and inventive share-plate menu and an excellent cocktail list in an intimate and cozy venue. The food is excellent and beautifully served whilst surprisingly affordable. At times the food was so good that we dove in before we remembered to take photos for this review! (Apologies for the photos of half-finished plates!). The house-made pickles are excellent, the fried olives were great and the gnocchi with pork ragu is a must. The bartenders make an excellent whiskey sour and the rotating cocktail (Harvest Jazz and Booze) was beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful and during our dining experience the owners welcomed us themselves and talked us through the menu. A newly-opened restaurant (we dined on only their 5th night serving) there were a few minor teething issues - the wine and beer list were lacking, the dessert option was underwhelming - but I cannot fault them at this early stage. Congratulations to the owners for taking this bold step in a small town - I wish you all the success that you deserve! Take note Fredericton - this is the direction your restaurant scene is going. I highly recommend for any local or visiting foodie. Enjoy!

Very warm staff, great bartenders with awesome recipes, the menu is delicious from what we tried and the atmosphere is modern and chique.

For years Ive been saying Terronis has the best beef carpaccio, today 11th Mile proved differently. Might have been the slivered croutons.
