My family were in between visitation times at McAdams and the family that owns this restaurant went out of their way to make sure we were well fed with the most delicious food and created such a great atmosphere for all of us. Thank-you so much!!

I have so many wonderful memories of this restaurant. During my time studying at Law School at UNB, it was one of my favorite spots to eat out. Jerk Chicken was my top choice. I really wish to visit this restaurant from Ontario one day.

We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience! The food was amazing, great flavour, perfect spice level (we like spicy) and good portion sizes. We had the jerk chicken wrap and chicken curry. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a flavourful meal in Fredericton.

The food is pretty average. Very small serving sizes. And hugely overpriced given the serving size. Very disappointing experience.

Disappointing, the food was basically Costco products prepared in their kitchen. Their marketing way over sold what was being offered. This was my first and last time I will eat there.

Amazing restaurant! Was a great haven after a long road trip. The food is delicious, and the service is amazing. They went out of their way to help us with wheelchair accessibility and setting. They were all very kind and so great to talk to. We will definitely stop by again when we drive by Fredricton! Wheelchair accessibility: They had another entrance for wheelchairs which made it very easy to get in!

What an absolute treasure! It felt like home; it felt like family. The space and the staff are so warm and inviting. I had the coconut shrimp, my husband had the guava maple BBQ beef rib, and our 3-year-old had the tapas board. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time and meal. We are all wishing we have more opportunities to visit Fredericton Kid-friendliness: Our 3-year-old loved the portion and variety of the tapas board.

My family and I discovered Caribbean Flavas while searching on Google, and from the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and treated like family. The food was absolutely delicious; we ordered the chicken and shrimp curry along with rice and roti. The best Carribean experience I have ever had. Hands down. And I actively seek out curry places in every town in the world I go to. Ive eaten at palaces in Europe, Ive eaten deep in the woods on long backpacking excursions, ive eaten all the way through Asia and I always say that food is the thing that you remember the most. From the remarkable cuisine to the exceptional friendly service. This is a highlight of Fredricton that should be celebrated. Im going back. Probably tomorrow.

My husband and I are have tried to stop here for the past 5 years whenever we drive through Fredericton from Ontario but never got the timing right. We are a family of 5 travelling back to Toronto after a wonderful journey through the East Coast. We used Caribbean Flavas as a point to head to from our hotel and are lucky we did. The food, service, care, and attention was outstanding! Would highly recommend and only wished that we lived closer to visit again and again. This was my first experience at Caribbean Flavas restaurant in Fredericton New Brunswick, and it was great. The atmosphere, the customer service and the food was great. If you ever travel to Fredericton this is the restaurant to go. The other restaurants in the area was very disappointing.

From the moment you walk in the service is incredible! There is nowhere that even comes close to the amount of care in Fredericton that they show their guests! The food is packed with flavor! Served nice and hot and stays that way till your very last bite! The jerk chicken meal is absolutely incredible and you can choose your level of heat. The plate has plenty of food so you leave perfectly satisfied even ending on sweet note with warm semi sweet plantains. The staff treats everyone who enters as if they were family from the moment you arrive till the time you leave. I would highly recommend dining here its truly an experience you will never forget!

I went there with friends on the recommendation of the people of Fredericton and we dont regret it! The waitress is adorable and offered to let us taste a little of everything on the menu. She brought us a multitude of different dishes to try as many things as possible! Its delicious!

This is absolute my favourite place to eat in Fredericton. Fantastic food that you cannot find in any other restaurant, and the most amazing owners who always make you feel like you guest at their dinner table in their home.

Were from Toronto, and were CRAVING chicken roti... did a Google search and this restaurant popped up. I must say, this restaurant does not disappoint! Authentic Caribbean food that rivals some of the best spots in T.O. This place is a must-try!

Wow! The moment we walked through the door of this unique restaurant we were greeted with such a welcoming energy! The outstanding service we received continued throughout our entire evening. The ambiance of this restaurant truly needs to be experienced as it is difficult to put into words!

Came for the dine-in Freddy promotion and regret that choice. To start the portion sizes are minuscule. If youre hungry dont expect to be full when you leave. A breakdown of the course: Appetizers: Veggie samosa: You get one, with a sauce drizzled over, nothing special 2/5. Meatball duo: You get two meatballs with half an olive and some naan bread. Decent flavor the sauces were original but lacking in size. 3/5 Main Course: Curry: Watery/ not flavourful and honestly just lacking. 2/5 Alfredo Pasta: OIL SO MUCH OIL, Im not sure what the idea is behind this dish but it was oily with a weird combination of flavors and dry chicken. 2/5 Desert: Cream Puffs- Fine, tasted potentially not made in-house. 2/5 Macaroons- Tasted ok, sorta bland 3/5 Customer Service: 3/5 Overall the feel was a little off, and the service was friendly but Im not a fan of being touched even if its just a pat its odd in my opinion and the jokes were not great.. Cant say Ill be back. Final Thoughts: Maybe this isnt their best work, it was a cold night and they just opened but I was thoroughly disappointed in my meal and didnt feel it was worthwhile.

Nas may just well have written the textbook on customer service at front of house. I never leave this place without a huge smile - an absolute gem of a person. The food is outstanding. Get a curry roti or the quarter jerk chicken plate. And dont be cavalier with the heat scale - sweat will make you sweat.

I would totally agree that this is one of the best restaurants in Fredericton, NB. Not only the food were amazingly yummy, everyone is super friendly. The owners treat you like families. Glad to have taken a quick stop at this restaurant during our stay. Tried their jerk chicken and curry dinner plates. 2 dishes were reasonably sufficient for 3 people with an okay appetite. The owners/staff were very hospitable and polite, which made the experience even better. If youre in town, you should try their jerk chicken with sweat spice level (heads up, its actually spicy!)

The food was fantastic. The meat was tender, the lassi was a little different than usual but also very tasty. Nicely decorated and the service was very nice. Only recommended.

I liked the food and enjoyed it, I recommend it. My only concern is that it would be great and more pleasant if they let us wait inside the restaurant. Since there was just one takeout chair, they offered us to go out and return after a while. We were for the first time in the town.

My hubby and I were visiting Fredericton and decided we were in the mood for Caribbean food. What a wonderful surprise to find this little gem. We both had appetizers -- coconut bread and coconut shrimp -- off to a great start! Yummy. I had the jerk chicken and my hubby had the lamb curry. Both were delicious. Service was excellent. Loved the music. Highly recommend one of the daquiris! Try it out.

Went here this evening with my boyfriend and everything blew my mind. The service was absolutely amazing. The food was the most delicious food I ve ever eaten and I love how it s family owned and everybody that works There is family. Our waitress had us laughing, and was so helpful and just down to earth. Her energy her aura was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely continue going there. I honestly can t wait to go back.

After a day of driving we were hungry and looking for a break from normal road stops. A quick search and we found this gem. We arrived with perfect timing, as last table to be seated (table 5), and welcomed into this family run atmosphere. A real treat. Thinking we knew what we wanted Zee had some clear recommendations and she was bang on with a few different plates suggested. The aromas, flavours, spice and textures all great. The overall experience was a treat with a family who are passionate and caring. We loved it. We ll be back!

Fantastic food, fantastic service, just a phenomenal place to visit. This might be the best Caribbean Ive had, and their homemade hot sauce was perfect. My group was a bit of a trouble table and they were very helpful and attentive. Owned and run by a very welcoming and friendly family, Ill be coming back here as soon as I can!

This review is long overdue, but my husband and I were just remembering our East Coast road trip back in 2017 and this place really stood out. The owner and staff were super friendly and fun, and the food was great! There was also a very unkind customer during our time there that they handled very well. This place added to our very memorable time in Fredericton. :)

This restaurant is amazing and unusual from homeade coconut bread, fantastic jerk chicken, homeade samosas, great salad and to top it off homeade coconut ice cream to die for, and I dont even like coconut! The food is not what makes this place so special though, its the family who runs it. Mama in the kitchen cooking up magic, the dad and sister serving the tables among other things. You are just so welcome and appreciated and spoiled silly there. You will never have to ask for your water glass to be filled or a dish to be taken way. Just poof, they already did it. 100 star service out of 5 stars.

I could not believe I would have a taste of home-cooked roti and takaari way out in the east of Canada. Lovely, homely atmosphere and friendly trini service. A visiting trini to New Brunswick should not miss this opportunity.

Be aware that the combos are only available for takeout, not dining in. The owner explained that to us very nicely when we asked. The decor was really cozy, quite a small place, but youre not squeezed. We ordered the chicken curry (mild option) and it was very good! Theres still some spice to it, makes it very tasty. Water refills on point, great service, very friendly and caring waitress/owner. I would go back if I did not live 1000 km away!

Bad experience while picking order for skip

I was totally amazed at the fantastic taste and generous quantity of my evening take-out meal. I have enough for two if not three meals. I ordered the mild Hawaiian Leg and Thigh and I was thoroughly impressed with the unique, delicious taste and ample serving of this dish. Would definitely go back and reorder this item. Naan bread was delicious and fresh. The curry wrap was equally delicious and gigantic! Loved it!!!

Best restaurant in Fredericton. My family and i went there couple years ago and everything was perfect. The food, the greeting.wawww!! Its a family restaurant. The dad was our server and he came every minutes to ask if everything is ok and we also had a long conversation. We really need more people like that for our costumer services. Even the chef (Naz) came to say hi. Thanks again for making us confortable while enjoing our meal over there. Ill definitely go back.

We did take out for the first time there. The person that answers the phone was super friendly and welcoming. He was able to answer all questions about the menu we ordered the curry wrap, jerk chicken dinner and something else cant remember what it was called. We went to pick up the dinner and he had written a nice let message welcoming us to new Brunswick as we mentioned we were new here. The food was just as amazing as the service we will be ordering again soon. Never experienced this over the top service before.

What a food, what a service?! Amazing place, extremely nice staff. I never thought that Caribbean food is so delicious. These people know how to amuse your belly. I definitely will go there over and over again, and each time I will order Jerk beef.

The Caribbean Flavas staff are so welcoming, and I cant say enough good things about their food. If you like spicy food, you will be impressed, and if you want to stay away from spicy food, they will have something for you too. They have great fusion dishes you wont be able to find anywhere else. I LOVED their pop-up at the Highland games a few years back; they brought a cool twist to traditional Scottish food thats been missing since theyre no longer there.

We were passing through on our way from nova scotia back to ontario. After a couple weeks of eating seafood, we decided we wanted to have some caribbean food. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The owner and his staff are extremely welcoming.

Stopped in Fredericton for the night driving back and decided to grab supper here. The chicken curry was amazing with just that nice amount of heat. The owners were awesome and personable. If I stop by in Fredericton I will need to come back here to try the other items on the menu

Wow, this was great food. We are vegetarian, and they had no trouble making their entrees without meat. We found this place while hiding out and dodging the hurricane before heading east again, but if the food in this town is all this good, maybe we ll stay. Montana doesn t have anything like this!

Came to Fredericton from Montreal to bring my mother home to rest besides her family in Forest Hills Cemetery. I invited my cousins (one local, 2 from BC) to our AirBNB for diner. Having heard about Naz many months ago and his tour with Leonard, before I left town I wanted to experience his art. When I called Caribbean Flavas, Naz answered the phone. Being emotionally exhausted I asked if he would select options and prepare a meal for 6. Aside from the food (which was excellent) the big surprise came when he delivered it personally and then recounted a number of culinary adventures with great charm. His warmth felt like family. Definitely Highly recommended.

This place was highly recommended by my NB colleagues, so I had to stop by when I was in Fredericton for only 2 days. Ordered the medium spicy jerk chicken which came with rice, veggies, and plantain. Had a great conversation with the host, while we waited for the food to arrive. The chicken was amazing and had the right level of spice. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu, especially the curries :) - Kelly D.

Got a tofu curry wrap. Everything about it was good except the tofu which tasted quite bad. Will definitely get another wrap but with just veggies next time.

Can t travel because of the Pandemic?!? Takeouts from Flavas will make you feel you re in Tobago. The typical Caribbean flavours and quality of food is amazing. Had the Saturday breakfast special. Today it was Trinidadian doubles. SO delicious! Sides of a cheesy hashbrown and Spanish omelet were also great. Well be back!

I went in on a whim, had a wonderful conversation with the waitor, who I willingly let choose my entire meal, down to the drink. Everything was outstanding, couldnt have chosen better myself. I highly recommend, and will be back.

Food was amazing and and a nice change of flavor. To top off the exceptional experience, a follow up call asking if I enjoyed my meal! That was first for me! I decided to try something different today, rather then getting the average burger and Fry. Wow am I ever impressed. I called in a take out order and was pleased that the man on the phone cared about what I wanted as a customer and even called me later that day to make sure the meal was satisfactory. When I got to the restaurant I was offered a tour because I was a new customer. I got to hear about all the great causes they support in our community and about the famous people who have eaten there; Sean Paul , Snoop dog and Leonard Cohen to name a few. The friendly staff there are second to none. Now for the best part , the food. Wow was I ever blown away by the variety of flavas. I ordered the Jamaican jerk burger with mango salsa and curry onion rings and decided to try the beef samosas with the spicy dip. Every bite was an experience , the onion rings were to die for. It was an on the go meal that left me wanting more . I will definitely be coming back to try something new off the menu. Thanks for a one of a kind experience in our tiny but beautiful city!

Visiting Fredericton from Halifax. Being from the Caribbean (Barbados,) I thought Id try Caribbean Flavas and ordered the Roti. I love Roti and havent had one in a couple of years as I havent been able to go home. It arrived and once I opened the wrapping, I was transported. I bit into it and was in heaven. It was very hot (temperature), and I kept putting it down and telling myself to let it cool a bit. But I couldnt leave it alone. Such a good roti and Mamas Double Chocolate Brownie Balls was the perfect treat for after. Will definitely order again. May stop in on my way to Saint John tomorrow for another! :D

This is THE BEST restaurant in Fredericton. Every time I visit family from out west I make sure to go. Every dish served by Naz is honestly amazing. Ambience is awesome and staff is friendly and ready to explain anything. This is a must stop if traveling through Fredericton. It is closed Sunday and Monday be aware though.

I went for the brunch on Saturday. Naz was welcoming and engaging. His hospitality was only surpassed by the authentic tasty food! I will definitely return the next time Im in town. Hey Naz ... open a spot in the GTA, you know you want to! #YouGottaEatHere

A wonderful place to spend a moment out of a busy day and relax. Amazing food, even better hospitality. I think Ive found my new favorite spot. :). Highly recommend - and my lunch date was a very delighted vegetarian, with all the choices available.

Had take out from here and it was incredible. Service was great and food was amazing. Totally worth the price for the quality of ingredients they use. Ive eaten many places across Canada and in the USA, this place is one of my favorites. I cant wait to go back.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff who like to laugh and socialize. Perfect place if you want to experiment or try something new as the chefs will take on any creative challenge! So glad we chose to visit for our date night. Youll be treated like family and we highly recommend going.

It is so nice not having to cook for myself for a change! Enough for 2 OR in my case, 2 meals for 1. The slightly spicy lentil soup of the day and the Cajun southern fried chicken (Cry level of spice) with corn rice and coconut garlic mashed was exactly what I needed. The type of spicy that clears the sinuses, makes you sweat, and also feel amazing while still retaining flavour. Crazy spicy and super flavourful. They now only do delivery and pickup because of COVID-19, but they maintain a safe environment and to give you a little taste of their great in-house service, they even call you after to thank you and make sure the meal was great. THANK YOU Caribbean Flavas for being so great and reminding people of the many benefits buying local provide.

Great food and is open during Covid-19 for takeout. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the food.

Treated our selves for the first time in months and caribbean flavas was the right choice! A minor hick up with our order but the restaurant took care of it quickly and with exceptional customer service. We ordered wings, wedges, samosas, coconut bread and the iced tea. All were super delicious but especially the wings!

Ordered the coconut bread and the island jambalaya on Skip the Dishes. Everything was delicious, the meat is so tender, and just the right amount of spice. Will definitely eat here again, looking forward to checking out the restaurant in person and trying the rest of the menu

I just enjoyed the chickpea curry with rice, it was unbelievably tasty and flavourful! Plus I managed to mess up my order twice but the staff was extremely understanding and accommodating. They even ended up giving me the dinner plate instead of the lunch. Highly recommended! Also really gooood music and comfortable patio.

We only stayed for a quick meal but it was a very good experience. Very friendly and welcoming host and staff. Will be going back.

This place is amazing! Got my wedding catered here, and it was great! They were so helpful in such short notice, and even called us afterwards to make sure everything was okay. Above and beyond. Also, looove the surprise dishes!

Portion wasnt good. Mac n cheese wasnt special. Hummas wrap was underwhelming. There are other places to eat at for better portion sizes.

I surprised my man and brought him in tonight with his eyes shut and we had an AMAZING time! The food was amazing, everything was beautiful and tasted great. Wonderful customer service, we had a dinning experience not just a meal! Would highly recommend for great food and great company to be around ! Thank you Guys! We will be back

GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND! Chef Naz ensured that my brothers birthday was one to remember. Birthday planning from Singapore could not have been any easier. The quality of the food was exceptional. The samosas were a hot favorite. Will order again!

Amazing food and people. I ordered takeout earlier this evening and they went above and beyond to call and ask how the meal was, even personally thanking me for supporting their business. I ve never had any restaurant do that before. Very thoughtful :) the chicken curry is also incredible.

Best restaurant experience with the warmest staff. It feels like home! Their iced tea... 10/10, coconut shrimp... 10/10.... music and vibes.... 10/10! Cant wait to visit again

Went for breakfast (accidentally) and left having enjoyed excellent service, fantastic food, and great conversation. It was my first time, but wont be my last!

It was delicious and I liked the atmosphere but it was over priced. It didnt seem kid friendly even though it has a kids menu. A tiny pizza and seriously 6 fries cost $10.99 for my kid! No drink or anything included. Small portions for the price. Owner and staff were very nice. A suggestion would be to lower the price of the kids meal and have crayons and paper available for the kids so that the parents can enjoy their time.

Not very good customer service, I went in to eat about half a year ago. I was seated and made my drink order, but my drinks didnt arrive within 10 minutes and I never got to make my order for food, so I just left. Hopefully its better now, but at the moment I have poor faith in this establishment.

We stopped by because it was a) so close to our AirBnB b) it was well rated c) we like food with a kick. Wow! The restaurant demonstrates why it has such a high rating right from the start with attentive staff, a friendly host, great food recommendations, terrific appetizer (samosas like you have never had them with phyllo and a spicy sauce), kick-a$$ jerk chicken and a spicy veg and chicken jambalaya. The heat choices are tingle, sweat and *breathing fire* (Seriously, I cant remember the last choice). Sweat made me sweat alright - between my eyebrows... lol. It was terrific! A lassi was required as a fire extinguisher to take the heat down a notch so I could continue to enjoy!!! You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, and the mango ice cream dessert was amazing. Thanks Mamma & Family!!!

Once again me and my husband were not disappointed with this place. Not too many places are involved with there customers like they are. You are made to feel welcomed from the time you step in the door til the time you leave. The food was great, I love how each dish can be adjusted to how spicy you like it. Even brought my husband a birthday desert and sang him happy birthday.

We had dinner here tonight looking for some spicy food that was gluten free. Being real fans of jerk spice and curries, we were delighted to find Caribbean Flavas! We shared the jerk chicken and chicken curry with cashews and coconut. Both were extremely flavourful with generous portions. It is such a relief to know that everything there is gluten free except the naan bread and coconut cake! We were amused to hear the spice levels which began with tingle and ended with double cry . Haha The owner, who introduced himself as Papa was very friendly and informative about Fredericton. Chef Naz spoke with us and went out of his way to introduce us to friends of his who were visiting. A very welcoming and unique gluten free place to eat in downtown Fredericton. we were so glad to find it!

My wife and I and our 2 daughters were one of the last customers before Naz and family were closing down for once in a lifetime pilgrimage. We were dead tired and hungry when we stepped in, but were full and refreshed by the time we left. Thanks for a great meal and a great time to Naz, Mama and the rest of the staff. The food was incredible and the hospitality even greater.

Delicious! Most authentic ethnic food weve experienced since moving too N.B. As soon as you step in you can smell the wonderfull scent of spices in the air. Had the slow roasted beef rib on the bone, jerk chicken and apple cinnamon lamb shank. ALL great. Hosted by Naz made for a lovely meal.

Had the jerk chicken dinner, with mamas iced tea, would highly recommend!!! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely go again.

A cozy restaurant with great service and desirable food

Spicy means spicy. We were on a stop in town on a long trip in Canada and we were not disappointed by this nice restaurant. The owners really care about their guests. The food was very tasty and, well spicy. I can recommend this restaurant very much.
