We ordered fish and fries through Skip the Dishes and it was THE BEST I ve ever had!!!!!! We were just passing through so we ve left Frederickton but I want it again!

Staff was friendly and service was good. Food was delicious. I gave 5 stars. And well definitely come back.

I went there with my son and he had a seafood platter.I had the fish chips. It was amazing so delicious. Staff was fantastic and I will definitely be coming back here again and I will recommend it to my friends.

We had the Seafood platter which with 2 soft drinks came to 64.00. The scallops and shrimp and fish was under cooked and horrible. I told the server and she said that she would let the cooks know. Whatever to customer service? Will most definitely not go back.Do not recommend.

The food wasnt awful, the clams were tasty and the poutine was alright. However the portions you get for the price just didnt do it for me.

We had a hamburger and fries and the lobster platter. The lobster was pricey but worth it. The fries , gravy, hamburger, and coleslaw were also excellent. People walking out of the restaurant told us to get the chicken fingers and also said the food was good.

Spectacular food, and the freshest fish around. Noone does it better than Williams! Bravo! BUT....Even the best can have an off day, and my latest experience 07/16/24 @1:34pm, was that. Fish was over cooked, hard shelled coating from being cooked too long because it was too thin; and the fish inside was rubbery as coating had not properly covered and coated all the fish before deep frying. This was a one off for them, but disappointing none the less.

Pretty good! Found the last few times it was just too greasy for me though honestly. Which is super unfortunate because it used to not be so greasy before! Customer service is always great though!

The hot and sour soup was expensive and only contained cabbage and carrots. I was disappointed that there was no meat or tofu or anything.

Fish is extremely greasy. Batter hard and not light as advertised. Fish has no taste outside of grease. Gravy is nasty and fries are bland and unseasoned. I will never order here again Very disappointed.

I find it funny that the owner blocked me on their business page because I left a comment saying Will you check your email this time? It goes to show what a spineless owner they are. I used to love your fish but if youre going to act like a child over this I am glad I wont be working with you and supporting you.

The food was a bit too greasy for me, but overall I was mostly disappointed by how high their prices are. Considering youre paying $18 to get 2 small pieces of fish it seems a little ridiculous they dont even bother to throw in some coleslaw as a side without charging you extra. It didnt help the daily specials felt like they were playing a joke on you, only offering a discount of a single dollar off a price of up to $45. It was rather quite insulting that they would charge such crazy prices for their food. I couldnt finish it because of how greasy it was though, and I went to the Taco Boys further down the road to get something different. Not going back, and I wouldnt recommend it unless you have enough to money to waste more than $20 per meal.

Im pretty ticked off with this outfit at the moment, and thats why Ive given it an overall 2 star rating. I dont have much of a problem with the food, other than its usually a little too greasy, and they dont seem to know how to make coleslaw for some reason. Its basically just chopped up white parts of cabbage, with a bit too much coleslaw dressing. Most places that I know that sell it, make it with both red and green shedded and cabbage, shredded carrots, (sometimes some finely chopped green onion), and add just enough creamy dressing, but I guess that at this restaurant, I feel that they think theres always a world shortage in red cabbage and carrots at least. Anyway, thats not the main issue I have right now. I hadnt been there for quite a while, so a couple of weeks ago, on a Friday night, I decided that I would have a fast-food meal. for a change. So, I used my phone to place an online order of a medium fish & chips, with a small coleslaw, as a PICKUP order since I only live 3 blocks from the restaurant. The total order came to around $22.00 (which I feel is always a bit too much since we live in the Atlantic Provinces)! I went and picked it up at the appropriate time. After I got home and had my meal, I was checking my emails, and there was a confirmation email of my order where something caught my eye. I noticed that i had been charged $26.00+. When looking at the price breakdown, there was a $4.00 DELIVERY FEE for Door Dash! WHY?? Since I went and picked up the order personally! The $4.00 is not a big deal, but I couldnt understand why I was charged a Door Dash fee for a pickup order. So, I called the restaurant and spoke with a young lady about it, and she told me that it was the way their online ordering system worked, and that all their orders were now were going through the Door Dash system. Im not sure that this person really knew what she was talking about, but I continued to discuss the issue, stating that this was ridiculous, and stated that it seemed to be kind of a backdoor ripoff, because how many people would notice that theyre being charged a delivery fee to another company, on pickup orders. She said that she understood that it didnt make sense, she would speak with her manager the next day, and that someone would get back to me that day. To date, I havent heard anything from anyone whatsoever. Honestly, Ive been busy and had forgotten about it until Google asked me for my review, but now that its back in my mind, I will be getting this issue straightened out, so that NO one else gets unknowingly ripped off! Sorry for the long review, but I believe in telling others the whole story and the whole truth about my experiences.

Been hankering for fish and chips for a bit now. Didnt know what to expect from Williams Seafood. I was pleasantly surprised. Fish was nice and crispy and the fries were perfect. Thank you. We will be back.

Food was ok, flavors were VERY mixed together in a greasy box, not necessary the bad kind of greasy though if you know you know ;) Staff want a tip after $90 order, but they had sad dogs eyes so I thought about it before saying no Atmosphere really made me feel like I was in Fredericton EDIT: Hol up up they gave me a lil plastic knife in the box, not very sharp. RGB fish whipped butter delightfully chunked... to my liking ;D. This does no change the review. PS I didnt eat the coleslaw

Williams has been a favorite for years (5 star), but unfortunately they have made some changes as of late. Food is now served in a plastic basket lined with paper. By the time you are half done, the paper is disintegrating and on all of your food. Also, the baskets cut way back on portion size (we literally got a handful of fries with our fish). A bunch of baskets and no tray means a bunch of trips to the garbage can. Compared to the competition, Williams went from ahead to behind. I have no issue with paying a couple bucks more for the old portion. Bring back the paper plates and portion sizes please. Now a one star, not likely to return.

Food is always delicious and as advertised. Had a small issue with a delivery charge on an order, and manager reached out to me repeatedly to ensure it was fixed. They are always a go-to in Freddy. for quality, flavour and service.

Your food is amazing but really need to work on ensuring ALL items are in a delivery order. Every time I order I am missing something. Tonight I am missing 3 pieces of fish! Not acceptable... It makes me not want to order anymore because of these issues. Please fix them. EDIT TO ADD: The manager corrected the error that occurred in missing food. Not only did he replace missing items, but my whole meal was replaced. Thanks for fixing the situation quickly and respectful

Best fish in the city

The food was good here, minus the hair in my food. It was also very pricey. Just based on the price I paid, I would not go back.

My nephew has been asking me to take him. Said best fish n chips in town. He was right! Super friendly service, very clean, great prices and Williams Seafood will be the place I treat others to. (Photos next time!)

My stepdad treated my Mum and I to Williams Seafood for Mothers Day. The food was excellent. Hope to be back again soon It is our new tradition to eat here on Mothers day. Great food and customer service.

The food was expensive, and it wasn t that great. I paid $24.99 (+taxes and tip) for a lobster sandwich that came cold and too small for the price.

My friend and I had lunch there about a month ago. The food was not the greatest, something we found odd was all the other dishes had coleslaw with the meal except for the fish and chips. We had to purchase the coleslaw extra, however it was terrible, it was dry and there was barely any sauce on it... We will not be returning to Williams ever again. It is very expensive to eat there, and when a person pays for a dinner it should at least be good, the food is just thrown on the plate.

Went to Williams on Aug 19th at 230pm and it was great. The young lady at the front counter was so nice and friendly with our 2 kids. We had fish/chips, grilled cheese and cookies. Everything was so tasty and my wife even took some extra cookies home because they were so good. Definitely recommend and will be back.

This is an awesome seafood restaurant with options for those who dont like fish. Great for kids. Its a little more pricy than a regular fast food place, but the fish is so good and worth it. My fiance and I were browsing restaurants on DoorDash and seen Williams seafood so we gave it a try and now were hooked! Not only do they leave sweet little messages on the bags but the quality of the food is outstanding that it puts other restaurants to shame.

Ist seafood meal while on vacation...very disappointed. Had the lobster roll. Was watery and tasteless. Obviously frozen for awhile. Not worth the $30.

Went to Willam s for super on 09/22/23 my dad and I went in it was very busy and there was two tables available so I went and sat down while my dad was going to order when I went to sit down the owner of the restaurant told me that there s other people ahead of me who might want to sit down too and I told him yes we are ordering food to and he looked at me and said still , NOT a good way to do business as right after we left no food and Williams lost a paying and some what frequent customer , if others wanted the table they should of done the same but they didn t and even if they did he would of probably done the same and told them to move ..DO BETTER WILLIAMS Seriously !

Best poutine!!

First time to this seafood restaurant, absolutely delicious and fresh.we will absolutely be returning to Williams seafood restaurant on our next trip to Fredericton. Some might find the prices slightly higher, but then again you get large portions.

Have been to William s many many times over the years for fish and chips and have always enjoyed it. Last two times, (including tonight) it could have been called fried batter and chips as there was truly only a morsel of fish in each of the four pieces of fish . Don t think we will be going back :(

Ordered lg scallops meal. Not sure those were even scallops, a few tiny rubbery things- didnt even taste like scallops. Things have changed over the years.

My favorite fish & chips place in Fredericton. Fish is always done just right and the French Fries are delicious. And the portion are pretty big; it always takes me a few minutes to start moving again.

Just paid 21.00 for scallops and chips and got basically a big box of French fries with a few small scallops

Im from out of town, but I loved it so much, we had it two nights in a row!!! Now thats what I call good seafood!

By far this was the most awful food experience in the city. The chips and fries were not crunchy and they were very greasy. The customer service was bad. I feel like they didnt wanted me. And after pay the order the cashiers attitude changed and mumbled something I didnt understand.

OMG the fish

I came here on the very high praise of a famuly member who frequents this place. I found it pricey for the portions and size, in my opinion, though I admit I never went here before COVID and that supply chain issues and inflation may have impacted pricing. I got the medium scallops and chips and upgraded the fries to poutine. Tonnes of fries -- I could only eat half -- but there were only 6 small scallops. I couldnt justify paying just shy of $30 with tax and tip to return when Deluxe is very similar in quality and far less money. I later found out my family member goes on a certain day for a certain special (I forget now but I think its Seniors Day), and usually gets something different from what I ordered.

NASTY food I wouldnt feed to a stray animal. The fish was really greasey and had no flavor or crisp to it. The gravy wasnt good at all. The fries tatsed as if they had been sitting there all day and then stuck back into the fryer. The poutine was nasty so stay away from that. It lacked flavor and all the chesse stuck to the paper plate. 11 dollars for that poutine is NOT worth it. They put fish and chips in a box, yet put poutine on a plate with another plate on top... Poor packing design when it comes to the poutine. I was very disappointed considering the amount of money of spent. My husband and I only got a large fish and chips, a poutine and an extra peice of fish. Definitely was not worth the almost 50 dollars. Will not be back, we will continue to support the local we love.

This place should called Williams Potato Restaurant. I ordered roll lobster cost $45, it Very tiny sandwich even for kids is not enough. They serve like 2 kilograms all fries. The lobster was so cold and not fresh at all. The fries tastes very bad. The food service was very disappointing.

First time in Fredericton and was wanting some seafood/lobster. The fish and chips was okay . There was a lot of chips. Chips were surprisingly bland though. However, this was towards the end of the day, an hour prior to closing. Lots of nicely battered Haddock. My wife s lobster roll was underwhelming for the $30 price tag. Not a lot of lobster or much of anything in the bun. Friendly staff. We left disappointed.

During a recent visit, I was totally impressed with their cleanliness, especially during this time with Covid and all. Everything wiped down and sanitized after use. The quality of the food is very good. Some items are a bit pricey for the quantity (lobster roll / clams) while other menu items are very reasonable. Great atmosphere.

Awful. My partner and I purchased a medium size Seafood Platter as the Saturday special. Chips were dead, haddock was two tiny pieces smothered in a thick and greasy batter to disguise how little fish was actually there. The shrimp and scallops were just flavourless and it cost us $30 for an incredibly small amount of food! Our first and last go at Williams.
