We had a wonderful dinner at the Wolastoq Wharf. I enjoyed a Harvest salad and a whole lobster that came with delicious potatoes and vegetables. It was a fabulous way to celebrate my Birthday.

Great place, intimate. Food was almost flawless, my scallopped potatoes needed just s tiny bit more cooking as some were still a little crunchy, but the flavor of the dish was out of this world.

The lobster is amazing, make sure to try the new NY cheesecake too it is a great pairing with a coffee and bailey s. Paige was my server and was very friendly.

Poor quality food, order surf and turf meal really disappointed. Lobster tail dry and tasteless;beaf tough burnt and raw in the middle. Sparagus rubbery, no choice for salad instead. Seafood platter full fritte food instead of seafood natural flavour. Missed coslaw in another plate. Too expensive for poor food. Prices too much for what they offer. Slow service, they forgot one of the meals which delayed us to eat and to leave.

Very disappointed. The chowder tastes like the cheapest canned cream soup, the prime rib steak is of budget quality, the mussels were okay but not very flavorful. Ive ordered also (very basic and simple) Old Fashioned How could they mess it up by making it 5% whiskey and 95% water, with crushed ice, and lemon???? Justthrown away time and money The prices are like a top rank restaurant, but the quality is like a regular food chain.

Meals were awesome, we had seafood linguini (most seafood every had in one dish), The Mediterranean was very good, would order it again, fish and chips.. great batter and fries, fish sandwich super super super! Highly recommend

Came here for lunch. What a delicious lobster roll. It had large meaty chunks of lobster. As someone from Toronto, it was a treat to have something so fresh and savory that didn t cost a mortgage payment. Also had the scallops as an appetizer. This one was a miss for me but still not bad. All in all, fantastic spot.

If I could 0 stars I would. The food was very underwhelming but more importantly the service was awful. Table was not dressed. No cutlery or side plates. Food arrived. Waited 5 min for utensils. Waitress never checked in on how meal was. One the kids meals was not good at all. Waitress took it back and still charged us for it. At 18% percent gratuity was added to our bill. Definitely did not deserve 18%. Would not recommend.

They call themselves fine dining. Too many plastic sauce bowls and French fries for that. Waitress stacked all our plates on the table in front of us before picking them up. Pan fried haddock was over cooked and underseasoned.

Went 3 times this summer. Each time the servers forgot about us and we had to flag them down each time for: bread, water, ordering, and cuttlery. The lobster was underdone and wouldnt remove from the shell and tasted fishy. The manager called me a liar that weve been waiting over an hour for food. Then when a waitress confirmed to him, he felt bad and sent over some gift cards. That was cool of him to fix. But then each subsequent visit we were forgotten about all over again. Even when its not busy. Food is good but wait staff are a mess. Still, Ill probably be back. Just work on this guys, its bad.

The shop has 2 zones, the inside is luxurious and the outside is relaxing. The day you came, you didnt reserve a table. But come early so there are seats. But there were customers who kept coming until it was almost full. The service staff is very good. There is also one free snack served, which is bread dipped in butter and sugar. I love the berry spinach salad here. Its so delicious, topped with pickled shallots. Enjoy. Main food is very flavorful. Everything is delicious. There is enough parking. You can park on the side of the road (some corners). On Saturdays and Sundays, you can park at Post Canada, which is behind the store.

Heather was our server and she was fabulous. The night out for my husbands birthday best decision.

My family and I came here for dinner on our road trip a couple nights ago and we did not enjoy our experience at all. The food was really mediocre but majority of it was just bad because the shrimp and meats on the seafood platter tasted like they had gone bad, the cheese on our seafood platter was dried out and inedible, moreover the presentation was absolutely horrible. When we brought this to the attention of our waiter, he told us he would see what he could do for us, came back 15 mins later and said he had let the kitchen know and they would be checking their product over so that it didnt happen for future customers & that was it... well, you have customers sitting at your table who shouldnt have gotten inedible cheese and you offered NO SOLUTION WHATSOEVER! Overall, this was a horrible experience and would not recommend or return, other places offer much better seafood, service, and are cheaper.

Extremely generous portions of seafood. We ate on the patio and it was quite lovely. Service was fast and courteous.

It was difficult for me to make myself understood for my reservation, except for my name which I pronounce correctly in English (Carole). I had to spell it 3X. I dont speak English well but still!!! I think there was some bad manners on the part of my interlocutor. In short, we got along well and the service was impeccable and warm despite our poor English. Lobster Maccheese, very good and generous in lobster. The soft Rockefeller oysters were a bit surprising because they were much too spicy. We no longer taste oysters. The chowder was lukewarm. Fried ice cream, delicious! For the atmosphere, not very cozy. A room with too much lighting and poorly distributed air conditioning. Nothing romantic. We go there to eat, period. We had air conditioning on us and we had to keep our jackets on. As it was raining, we were unable to enjoy the terrace which seemed much better than the dining room. The brioche bread is exquisite but I didn t understand why it was served with molasses?

My husband and I were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The food was great and the staff were awesome! Great experience. We will definitely be back!

First came here in April of 2023, and the food was incredible. From start to finish, it was amazing, and we couldnt stop talking about it. Fast forward to tonight, and we had a very different experience that has left us wondering if we will ever come back. Drinks: No problems! Tasty! Appetizers: * Mussels (Garlic cream and leek) - The mussels themselves were good, and the flavor was there, but lacking any type of sauce. There were maybe a couple of drops of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, and thats it. Maybe its just me, but I prefer them to be drowning in sauce. (Still ate them all). *Seafood Dip (w/ chips and naan) - The Naan we had to send back because they were burnt/charred. To the point that we knew thats all we would taste if we tried them. Like, its only Naan bread, dont serve it burnt, just redo it. The seafood dip itself, I am guessing, is pre frozen and then baked in the oven. Which is fine because the flavors were awesome, but the cheese wasnt melted and was a hard/dry crust. If the cheese was melted/gooey/bubbling, wow, it would have been a great dish! (Still ate the whole thing) Main course: *Seafood Fettuccine - Amazing. Good sauce, lots of seafood. Noodles cooked well. Its a really tasty dish and no complaints. *Lobster and Scallop Fettuccine - This came with a lobster tail on the fettuccine, and my spouse took one bite of lobster meat and almost spat it out. I tried it, and I did spit it out. As soon as it was in your mouth, it turned to mush and was the worst thing I have experienced at a restaurant in my life. We immediately had to call the wait staff over and just ask for the lobster tail to be discounted off the bill because we didnt trust them to make another. (which they kindly did). The rest of the dish was awesome! These are all fairly minor or fixable things, but combined, it just kind of threw us off. Most food tasted great, but the attention to detail and the lack of care for the food were actually insulting. I am sure most people dont/wont have this experience, but for us, I dont think we will be back. The quality control / attention to detail / pride in the food demonstrates that my dining experience is better off elsewhere. This is all in my humble opinion, and they have many other great reviews, so once again, this review is just one bad serve. The serving staff are awesome, btw. Very nice and friendly, food was fast, they did an amazing job.

We were referred to this restaurant by the desk clerk at our Best Western hotel and Im so glad we took him up on the recommendation. If we were locals, this would be our go to restaurant. We were there for a late lunch, but they allowed me to order off the dinner menu. The best Pan Fried Haddock dinner Ive had in ages. Really appreciated the glazed carrots and glazed new potatoes. My husband tried the Lobster Roll platter with the chowder soup and both were also great. Could do something about the simplistic atmosphere by adding some decorations, or ambient lighting, but then, I suppose with that it may cost customers more. I wish we could have eaten here multiple times on our trip. Thanks for making such a memorable meal for us.

Delicious seafood in a pleasant atmosphere. Enjoyed the experience! They could greatly improve the lobster roll by using better quality bread. Hotdog bun doesnt cut it in this quality restaurant! It was all good, but this change would make it better.

To keep this simple, crowded and old 80s vibe dining room, very ordinary food, service that you can expect in a tavern. I do not call this fine dining and was greatly disappointed.

Fry s are good

Service was sub-par. Indoor seating smells a lot like oil from the kitchen so we opted to sit outside on the patio. A table behind us fell and broken glass splattered toward us. Not a single word from the staff asking if we were injured. Food was alright but the poor service negated the overall experience!

We had a lovely dinner. The Scallops were amazing! Better yet was the service from Brenton, our server. It was my husband s birthday, and when I mentioned this to Brenton as we were leaving, he ran to the kitchen and got him a bidpg slice of cake to go. Just made a lovely evening even better.

Do not come here unless you want to lose money and be sick all night. Went here with my parents and the servers were so incredibly rude and disrespectful. Acted like they didn t want us eating there. On top of that, we all got food poisoning from the food. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I wish I could give negative stars. This was the rudest, most disrespectful interaction I have ever had in customer service. We called asking for reservations and they said that we would be fine walking in, as they do not take reservations for the patio. Once we got to the restaurant they asked if we had reservations which we did not as per the call earlier. One of the servers stated they were not taking any more people as they were very busy even though there were 2 tables walking out and 3 empty tables inside. We were then spoken to by another woman who then said We re too busy, We re not seating you Then stated that they weren t the one who we spoke to on the phone. We took a $20 taxi ride there so if you re looking for a dinner spot during peak times don t come here because they will turn you away. Don t waste your money. No customer services at all. Very disappointed.

Reservations are definitely recommended! We didnt make any but the staff squeezed us in thankfully. Free parking on site albeit limited if the restaurant is at capacity. Food is very good. Food service was a little slow coming out but could be just a timing thing of the crowds the night we were there. They had a dessert special of a strawberry cheesecake creme brule that was incredible, if they have it get it!!!!!

Ok, so this place is pretty busy. Youll need to do a reservation if you want to ensure a spot. I had this chicken curry, omg it was divine, I would highly recommend this spot!!!!!! One thing that kinda sucked tho was the spicy Caesar wasnt all that spicy. But other than that 10/5 stars

Atmosphere was great, they had live music playing and a beautiful patio. Autumn was such a sweet server. A little bit of a wait but the place was extremely busy. Food was okay, I ordered prime rib medium rare but came out medium well. Wasn t a huge fan of the sautéed peppers and onions over the meal. Chocolate cake was a great finish though.

We used to love the food here. Ordered takeout today, Seafood fetucini and Jambalaya. Service at front desk was abysmal, I felt like I was bothering the gentleman who went to the kitchen to get our food. Seafood fetucini and Jambalaya were bland. The fetucini used to be a rich gravy but it felt very watered down. The Jambalaya felt very watered down as well. I would not be recommending Wolastoq Wharf to anyone from now on.

We are from Ontario on holidays. We were in search of a good place for steak and lobster. It was really delicious. The roasted vegetables with my lobster meal were tasty. The atmosphere was nice and the small restaurant is decorated with beautiful local native art. Our young waitress was amazing and such a nice girl.......made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be back next time we come to Fredericton.

I ordered the lobster special (19.99), soup, wine, and other beverages. The waitress indicated the soup came with Bannock but after ordering, it was explained no Bannock was available. No compensation or apology was made for this major change. The food was ok. It could have been better seasoned. The meals major redeeming factor was the lobster size/quality and the dessert.

Right from the start, this restaurant impressed me. The quality of the kids menu, the local art on the wall. The lobster roll was fantastic. The panko crumb scallops were cooked to perfection and the service was great.

What a fantastic restaurant. This is the meal that all other meals on our trip will be compared to. We had the lobster dinner as take out and they added a little something extra when they found out we were celebrating a retirement. Above and beyond.

We drove from Alberta to New Brunswick to spend time with my sister & brother. We went to Wolastoq Wharf years ago & it was amazing! It certainly did not disappoint this time either! There are no restaurants like this in Alberta. We are landlocked. So this was so awesome! Abby our server was efficient & very sweet! Wolastoq was great! You gotta go!

Was my first time there, heard good things about it. We sat on the patio and when our drinks came, so did a small plate with bannock, butter and malasses, absolutely loved it.. We ordered mussels and bacon scallop wraps for starters, followed by Seafood fettuccine I believe it was called. I couldnt eat everything, so I took some home.. I forgot to take pictures as I was too busy stuffing my face.. The food was fantastic as was the service. I shall return when my Westcoast family comes to visit this summer. Cheers..

Great chowder and lobster roll.

Great food but mediocre service. The waitress that seated us could not control her yawning and kept leaning on the reservation desk. Just overall really strange behaviour. We had the mussels for a starter. After we finished they spilled the cream sauce on the table. She apologized but didn t come back to help clean it up. The rest of the meal we had to sit at the same table with the sauce all over it. We were left to clean it up the best we could with small napkins. I would expect better especially when paying 150 plus dollar for 2 people.

What a FANTASTIC restaurant! Everything was TOP NOTCH! The seafood fettuccine was amazing. Almost more seafood than noodles! The bannock bread with molasses before dinner is an awesome treat. Dont miss this gem when in Fredericton!

Food was ok and the house for a view is sketchy

What a nice patio for lunch with a friend! Good service. We ordered the fish tacos, a side salad with berries and carrot cake to finish the meal. Everything was tasty. The fish served in the taco was done in a batter, which is a bit different but good. One piece of carrot cake would easily be enough for two.

Having owned a restaurant, I can be pretty critical. I have never had such an exquisite dining experience as I had at this intimate establishment! I wanted to celebrate my return to Maritime Canada and this place, in every way fulfilled my wish. The staff especially Heather my waitperson were friendly, efficient, and just plain superb. I had the whole Atlantic Lobster Dinner, with their PEI mussels in a delicious garlic sauce to start things off. They brought out some of the most scrumptious bread I have ever had while I awaited the rest of the culinary symphony. This place is one of a kind, and I will return on my way back south later this year!

The food was great and tasty. Only problem was we could not sit indoors and there were lots of flies at the patio due to the garbages at the nearby residential area.

I arrived to the restaurant and got seated. The service was mediocre at best. It took at least 5-10 minutes after I put my menu down before a server came back to take my order. I ordered a drink (Caesar, no ice and no Tabasco), bacon wrapped scallops, and prime rib and a lobster tail. I got my drink. $9 for a very small Caesar. It tasted watered down. When I got my scallops, their size was about the size of a quarter. You get 6 for $24, It definitely was not worth the price. Nothing to write home about. I finished those and my main meal came in a proper amount of time. When my main meal arrived, I was a little shocked by the Prime Rib and lobster tail. The thickness of the prime rib was about a centimeter thick. Usually it should be about an inch thick. I had ordered it cooked medium, but it came medium rare. The lobster tail was on the small size and was undercooked. If the lobster is cooked, it should pop out of the shell easily. This did not. It was still attached to the shell and it tasted like it was like raw fish. The only thing that was done right was the mashed potatoes. The meal cost $112. Was so not worth the price! My first experience eating on the east coast area of Canada, I would not want to come back any time soon. Stay away from this restaurant, trust me. Save yourself the experience and your money. Spend it somewhere else.

The washrooms are disgusting and judging by the buildup of grime in the tile grout on the walls and floors dpeaks for itself. I can just imagine what the kitchen looks like. At the entrance we were handed a menu and sat ourselves. The waitress took 10 minutes to take our order, and half way through that she walked away to talk to a co worker as my mother was telling her, her order. The food was edible but far from fine dining. I had the experience and that will be my last time here.

I was so looking forward to a nice lobster dinner on my vacation to New Brunswick, and this place has mostly good reviews. They were out of the jumbo lobster tail dinner, so I chose the whole lobster dinner. My my lobster was tiny. It was supposed to be 1.25 - 1.5 lbs. Ive had and made lobster before. No way this was 1.25 lbs - it was maybe 1 lb, maybe less. I asked for a large lobster, but what arrived was the tiniest lobster I have ever seen on a plate. Each claw was 1 SMALL bite. The tail was 3 small bites and overcooked. I asked for a large lobster. Other diners had larger lobsters. My husband had the lobster roll (it was small), one of our guests had a tiny airplane chicken breast on mashed potatoes. I know he went home hungry. The salmon looked good and was a decent sized serving. To spend that kind of money and end up still hungry is just absurd. Next time Ill find another place for my annual NB lobster dinner or cook it myself.

Food was great, no qualms there. The waitress who served us was great but, the greeter and auxiliary server very clearly did not want to be there. Snarky, remarks and nonchalant attitude a plenty. Patio was extremely cramped. I waited 22 min for utensils before strolling into the venue to obtain some myself.

One of the best restaurant meals we have ever had with my partner. Nice service and cute atmosphere these are important but not as important as immaculate cooking! I had jambalaya and my partner opted for her safe food fish and chips. Both were amazing, even fish and chips from which I never expected much... Highly recommend!

Ok. This place was amazing. We sat on the patio because the restaurant was full but they had heaters. We both got whole lobster dinner and oysters for appetizer, and lemon cranberry crème brûlée and vanilla. Holy geez everything was amazing. We just arrived from Ontario and came here to feed and wind down. Love it is an indigenous owned. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

While the price would put many off, the overall experience makes it well worth it. I had the lobster dinner and my wife had the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. The lobster dinner was you standard fare at market price with a lot of butter and great veggies. The seafood risotto was creamy, savory, jam packed with seafood and massive. Very glad my wife couldnt finish it and I got to. We shared the crème brûlée which was a bad idea, only because it was so delicious. The brûlée came in a tiny flower pot which was a nice touch, the berries were fresh and the whip cream, excellent. The brûlée itself was close to perfect. I prefer my creme a bit more set and it some vanilla bean is often nice, but thats just being nitpicky. At $7, this dish was more than worth it. The quarter can become a little cramped, but that just tells you how good it is when a place is often full like it was tonight. The server was nice and my wife enjoyed the attentive, but not too attentive service. I do enjoy a bit more attention when paying higher prices at places though. Come back to pour the wine and water, as a couple extra times if we need anything/how is everything and so on. Overall, whenever we can afford it, well be back. Im still thinking about the food.

The seafood chowder and the lobster-stuffed halibut were very good. My dinner companion chose a Kleine Zalze Chenin Blanc 2022 to pair with her dinner and mine. Splendid!! Parking: 12 - 15 vehicles depending on size Wheelchair accessibility: Not quite a smooth entryway.

Walking in here feels like entering an establishment that was considered luxe in 1993. That being said, there is beautiful art on the walls and jewellery for sale (I believe created by the Wolastoqey First Nation, who also owns the restaurant). Service is kind and the food is absolutely delicious. Their cheesey, overstuffed lobster roll was rich and filling. Its not on the menu, but I was able to upgrade my fries to seafood chowder which again was tender and delicious. The serving of coleslaw was a bit.. ungenerous and tasted like it came from a supermarket but the rest of the food was so good, I didnt care. Also, I could eat that bannock with molasses every day until I die.

This is truly an awesome dining experience. Autumn was exceptional and took care of us 100%. The food IS delicious and very well prepared. We enjoyed everything we had and would definitely recommend this to anyone considering eating here. Fantastic food !!!

Fabulous food. Lovely service. Could definitely have better lighting like candles on the tables, but otherwise charming.

Expensive but delicious, and the staff were friendly. My only complaint is that there was a house fly that would not stop trying to land on my food.

Best lobster roll and seafood chowder ever! I went in for seafood and wasnt up to a huge dinner, so I got the lobster roll. Wonderful! Service was great also. If you are in Fredericton, its worth going there for a meal. Ah! Very nice view over the river of downtown.

I could eat here every day! Probably the best restaurant in Fredericton :) Everything I have ordered is tasty and fresh! Enough said! I highly recommend

Nice place with good food

It was nice to return to Wolastoq Wharf, and have the food be so much better than a year ago. Entrees were plentiful, well thought out with regards to assembly, and a feast for the eyes.

Great food, the whole lobster dinner was very good and the prices were so low we were expecting only a lobster tail. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing, appetizers were generous and came out fast.

We have seen many top reviews online and we have been to Wolastoq on 2 separate occasions. Our first visit was good our second visit was poor. Our biggest complaint was the waitress. She was curt and rushed us through the whole experience. When we showed our discomfort her behaviour changed but it just didnt make up for her attitude or her behaviour. It was an expensive meal and we deserved better. We did tip 15 % but it was not warranted. My dinner was not hot and there was a long dark hair in my meal. Put me right off and I didnt mention it. I should have. My husbands meal was overcooked salmon. My grandsons lobster was terrific. Dessert was awesome. The waitress should find a different job. We were so disappointed. We were so looking forward to dinner with our grandson.
