Food is delicious and fresh. Not greasy but tasty. That’s what matters. Atmosphere is dingy and old. Since Covid they no longer serve you but will allow you to eat “food court style” inside their building. Space heaters keep you warm. The receptionist is friendly, kind, and approachable
Fortune Kitchen is exactly what I want when the craving for Chinese food hits. My only complaint is they’re not open Mondays and sometimes don’t have a delivery driver available. Singapore curry chow mein is 10/10
Quality food and prices!! Fairly good flavour. If you want Chinese food and you're in Squamish, definitely swing by here.
Consistently good Chinese food, for a reasonable price. I usually order beef chop suey, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, and spring rolls. If you order take out, the fried meats tend to get a little soggy from sitting in the sauce, but you lose out on that crispy freshness anywhere when you take food away. Speed of service has always impressed me as well, as they almost always have our order ready before the estimated time, even when slammed busy. Will continue to return here!
Leaving a review after seeing the others as this is literally our favourite takeout after a busy day! Special combo D, sweet and sour pork, beef and black bean (our go-tos) sooooo good and great value for the amount of food.
4 slices of meat for the “BEEF chop suey” Good for a veg.
This is the 2nd time that I have been to this little restaurant and it is extremely good, fresh and really cheap. Impeccable and prompt service. I only price 2 photos on my 4 different dishes because it's too good and swallowed everything up before taking my XD photos! really nothing negative to say about this restaurant! 100%!
These ppl are absolutely amazing we ordered our usual dinner for 3 plus a half order of prawns, they called right away and said that they got our order mixed up with someone else right away they brought us what we were missing plus a full order of prawns. There isn't many places that will go above and beyond for the customers. You guys are the best and. THANK YOU!!!! You will always have our business.
Most bland Chinese food meal I have ever eaten. It feels as though they have disrespected the Chinese cuisine. Salt does exist you know...
Dont order drinks thay Charge you for drinks but dont send them????
Foods usually good but off sometimes oddly enough. But overall love it
So wonderful
Good food Go check it out
Best Chinese food in Squamish - hands down! I just wish they were open more often!
Best Chinese food in Squamish. Food is always great
This was not a $115 dinner for 4. The price for the food with delivery is an absolute joke and about double a city price. Im done, never again. And I blame none of the people who do the work.
Well, it s definitely not a dine in with dine in service but it was good. You can serve yourself after the food is made for you
Great service and food!
Excellent food and service in this place, I love the flavor and the portions are very good Wheelchair accessibility: If you have wheelchair access
Never disappointed. Constantly great.
I would ve shared a photo but the food was so good I couldn t find the opportunity to take a picture before it was all gone lol. Me and my family got the orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, wor wonton soup, egg foo young, and the house fried rice. The wor wonton soup was my favorite and I d say it s the best wonton soup I ve ever had! Very comforting on a cold day. The sweet and sour pork was my girlfriends favorite and it has been her go-to for awhile now. She said it s the perfect choice if you re not sure what to get because it s consistently delicious
Great staff good food
Well after a long time not going to this place i finally caved in,had a chinese food urge and decided to go here. The women who works sunday nights should be fired 2/20/22, absolutely rude and unprofessional. The food had a strong order of fish and i ordered the chicken chow mein and chicken fried rice with sweet and sour chicken, the rice was hard as if it had been sitting in a pot for hours the chow mein appeared fresh and was actually very good, and the sweet and sour chicken also very hard. Does nayone in that place take pride in their food. :(
Not bad!!!
ordered from here got a combo A and a wonton was handed a bag got home no wanton when I called the store they said I left it behind and told me I could come pick it up or pay extra for delivery this was a half hour until close. Also was not given any cutlery. The food was remarkably average. wont be back.
We ordered about five dishes for takeout and they were all terrible. No flavour and the vegetables were completely mushy. No one finished their portion it was so awful.
If youre looking for quality Chinese cuisine, this is the place! As a family run operation, the kitchen staff put so much love and care into the food and their employees. This place is not to be overlooked or underappreciated!
We love the place. We drive here just to eat.
Love it
Delicious
Fantastic food, personally would most recommend the war wanton soup
This is in no way gourmet food; but if what you are looking for is good hot clean and fast Chinese with friendly and efficient service, then you found it!
Great staff , good food
We have always had a great experience here. Their sweet and sour pork is one of the best around and their specials are reasonably priced.
I am leaning towards two-stars. We are up here camping and usually give one lucky Chinese food place a go each trip during our camping season. I also review most places we stop at during each vacation. Usually great stories too! The lady taking the order on the phone is fantastic, kind and pays attention to detail. (I liked the zebra shirt! Heck yeah!) The establishment inside looks fine. Outside is dated but lots of places we have visited are similar across BC so that is normal. The issues we unfortunately ran into would be with each dish. - The Mongolian beef was exactly the same as you would see in beef chop suey. Where you can pull on it and it kind of stretches. Bit of a bummer as it should be more the opposite. I wouldnt be surprised if this was actually Beef Chop Suey. My wife took pictures and she will be posting. I am using the receipt for my photo. - Pork Fried Rice tasted slightly burnt or a charcoal flavour that is very noticeable with what can only be described as a bit of a seafood-ish flavour? I absolutely hate seafood. There is also something key missing from it for that bang you get everywhere else? Is it just MSG or maybe Salt? Just tastes like minute rice with a different color. Different people have different likes and maybe the community here just enjoys it? - Chicken Chow Mein is my fav dish and I do buy it at every place I visit. This place doesnt add cabbage, carrots or anything to it (which is different and okay!) and the noodles taste sort of like T&T Market Double Happy Time Noodles with nothing on them (needs something). Again is it just a no MSG or salt thing perhaps? I make Mr Noodles at home and the small packet of flavour makes me want Mr Noodles instead. - Kung Pao Chicken /w Cashews We got cashews, no chili peppers, no cut green onions, no red peppers, what actually looks like Potatoes? (Never seen a cubed starch like this in any western Chinese ever) There is no sauce or again it is some super healthy version with no real taste and usually there is a dark or slightly dark hue to the sauce but not the case here, maybe forgotten. There is also supposed to be some sort of a spice to it from the non-existent chili peppers. --> The 2x Spring rolls were the best part! They have a nutty flavour to them but in a good way. I would buy those again! Maybe this is an off night for the cook staff? I surely do hope so because it felt like two of our four carefully selected portions were incorrect and I usually can brush off a lot. We judged this place and chose it based off reviews and we were incredibly disappointed. Awful last evening for our week-long camping getaway from home after a year indoors. Lets hope the rain turns off so we can at least enjoy some fire while we figure out what snacks we have in the truck. I dont want to drive back and argue. There is no point I would imagine even when you are honest and Covid is enough to deal with. Super sad.
Awesome
Just had the best Chinese food!
Worst ever Chinese food, or just food, we ever had. We ordered Combat A , B and Kungpao chicken. The website menu says Combo B comes with Almond Chicken but we got Sweet and sour pork. I wanted to change the Chicken fried rice to Pork fried rice but the lady said there is $1 charge. What? Sweet and sour pork taste like sugar with Red coloring. Chow Mein no bean sprouts or cabbage, fried rice ....just soy sauce taste. Kung Pao chicken is completely a miss. I called to complaint about the almond chicken was missing, she said the website was done by someone else and its wrong. What? Is that my problem? Never mind.
Great service great food
Good as always
Delicious food. Worth the wait. Friendly service.
Very good food
Good North American style Chinese food. Nothing fancy but always tasty would recommend
great take out!!
It is really delicious Chinese food!
The best Chinese food
Best in Town, and best I have had in a long time. Fresh, crunchy veggies, grissle free & low fat meats, and delicious sauces. Chinese food at its finest. I am addicted to this place. Order after 7pm to avoid the lineups.
The building may look run down but the food is fantastic. Reasonable prices and generous portions.
By far my favorite Chinese restaurant in squamish. Always very friendly and prompt service at a very fair price.
If you cant get back to North Van or Vancouver The Fortune Kitchen will Do.
Outdated exterior but great food! Good pricing.... Limited covid measures in place at present. Friendly staff, decent selection. Would recommend for convenience
Excellent food and great staff
Good casual Chinese. Not high end, nor does it pretend to be. If youre just looking for the staples, they do it well. If youre calling ahead for takeout, they do seem to struggle with accurately estimating how long itll take. Overall, positive experience.
Lunch special is really great! Price is good, portion is perfect.
Delicious yummy yummy food
This was hands down the single best phone I have ever had with anyone in my life I felt a real connection between me, the ladies on the phone and the food. I fell in love instantly. Thank you!
Good food. Never been disappointed.
Wells
A good place, the appearance of the restaurant still needs to be improved
Its is the best they are really friendly and to help you want really good ya
Daughter loves it here
Got take out multiple times over the last year. Great tasting food. Decent portion size.
Hello went to sit down in the restaurant and was told take out only I asked what time you close they stated 9pm I looked at my watch it was 815pm and there clock read 810pm so I asked why is that They said well we kinda close when we want after 8pm the where 4 tables eating and 2 tables just got seated before me not coming back here Sorry Fortune Kitchen
These folks will serve you old meat from days ago because they think you will eat it anyway and no you wont be refunded for this. Hate to say it, but they seriously lack pride in their cooking or business. This place is a disgrace. Shame on you fortune kitchen.
Service is excellent. Thanks.
Need something express, but the panda is far from the area. Dont worry fortune kitchen is here.
Very good an I give it a thumbs up
Ultimate Chinese food . Shrimp hot and sour soup was best ordered.
Best chinese restaurant in town!
The portions are good and the food is good, but it is a little overpriced in my opinion.
Best Chinese food in Squamish!
Tasty. Quality Chinese food. We stop in every time we re in Squamish
Excellent
Great food. Friendly staff. Above all in Squamish, the best Chinese restaurant in town.
Good food good service
Best Chinese food Ive ever had. Plenty of not overcooked vegetables for a good health, tasty and value for money meal. Wish it was like that in the UK. Highly recommended
Buy a country mile the best in Squamish! Ordered dinner for 4 and it is huge. Fresh crispy veggies, not to much salt... Yummy!
Great little place. Big portions, decent prices. Singapore noodles was the favourite. Lots of meat and very tasty :-)
Good portions. Tasty food.
Quite good. Tasty enough. Service was attentive. The restaurant is clean and comfortable.
I love food from all cultures. This was pretty good with a comforting feeling eating in. Decent service and good price. Didnt wait long to eat either.
fried rice has little or no egg at all, tasted burnt. Almond chicken was greasy and tasted burnt too. Fried wonton was basically wonton wrap with a tiny piece of bbq pork. way over priced for below standard chinese food. Just wonder how it got good reviews. wont be back.
Friendly staff and always a great meal in or take out.
A chinese food restaurant that does not deliver and not eager for your business.
Not the best not the worst just average
Only 3 stars...but still best Chinese food in Squamish.
Taste was acceptable. Price was cheap. Service was in general but manner of the two ladies was intolerable. Unworthy to pay tips and getting result of being shouted.
Pretty expensive for below average Chinese food. Im an average cook but cook better than this.
Good chinese food in Squamish some times we have to wait for a while but its worth it and portions are good
Not bad!
Always good
Pretty expensive for pretty average food
Really not the best restaurant at all. I would go to eat fast and dont care, always better then Mcdonalds but it still taste like a industrial frozen bowl of fake chinese food. The decoration is non existent and a tv is there to get your eyes away from what ever is there that you dont want to see anyway.
Good prices, large portions.
I always am in support of family businesses and independent restaurants. So I like to go and while I enjoy my meal I can bring business to them and recommend to others but these guys, similar to most Chinese restaurants, are not honest and do not provide good meal with reasonable price. I ordered Noddles with Vegetables and what I received was a pile of noddles with a few small pieces of cut vegetables that you needed a magnifies to find out what type they are. Not going back again and not recommended.
Extremely overpriced cheap food, Ive had a meal in other parts of BC for 6.99 that I got at fortune kitchen for 15 dollars. The service is absolutely atrocious, you go in with a happy hello they give you a straight dismal face, and then during your meal while you are eating the lady at the desk stares you down for minutes on end. They give you your soft drink in the can, overpriced as well I should add. Their establishment from the outside looks like a run down meth lab, although the inside looks decent. The taste of the food is no different then any other low end Chinese restaurant.
Straight tut.
