Very good meal, good quality food. Very courteous and smiling service, but very slow for the arrival of the dishes from the kitchen... It took 30 minutes to get our plates and another extremely long wait to receive the desserts even though we had ordered ice cream ... And yet, the restaurant was almost empty... Luckily we were in good company so it didnt matter. Maybe the kitchens were busy with external orders or understaffed? Otherwise, we are usually very satisfied. Vegetarian options: several vegetarian option dishes, including vegan sauces Parking: several places available directly in front of the restaurant.

But what excellent service from Gabriel! The portions were generous, the flavors explosive and the staff more than friendly. 10/10

The worst service ever experienced, five waitresses on a Friday evening talking to the B not serving our drinks forgetting to punch a little round seeing our beers on the counter waiting and becoming hot before she came to bring them to us while the restaurant is empty, romantic evening completely ruined by waitresses who bring us everything cold and who do not remove anything that is finished on the table at the end of the evening all our empty glasses were still there and our leftovers, no dont go for a frustrating evening guaranteed

Good service, nice atmosphere. On the other hand, the general tao chicken was quite ordinary, very little breading and not crispy. Not much sauce either and the rice was stiff. We were a group of 10 and when our plates arrived, the food was lukewarm. When the best thing Ive eaten is edamame as an appetizer, we have a problem. Unfortunately the food leaves something to be desired, especially for the price charged. In this bad economy I find it frustrating to pay so much and not be satisfied. I know much better restaurants for much less money so Im not going to recommend people to eat at Sésame.

We are very disappointed with General Thao... once the plate arrived we noticed that it was chicken croquettes (like those at McDonalds) on the plate dipped in sauce... for the price of the plate we were expected better quality from General Thao chicken! Really disappointing

Ordered + 1h in advance online, paid a app fee, showed up and they didn t even prepare the order or have it in their system When I showed up, the staff was standing around, not helping their colleague at the reception, just waiting for nothing, pretending they were doing something. I kept staring at the bar tender who wasn t doing anything until he finally came and asked for my name for my order 5 min later he comes back and asks me if I ordered at the right location, as he couldn t find my order I showed him the confirmation email and everything. The order was not ready, I had to wait +25 min for 2 poke bowls this is completely ridiculous and outrageous one of the worst customer service I ever received. Stay Away from this place.

I went with 8 friends, the server was outstanding. He was polite, funny, attentive, helpful and cute. The food was excellent. I ate the Poke bowl with salmon and tuna and asked for not too spicy and thats what I got. Plus, I liked having my soft drink in a can. That was delicious.

Disappointing Experience at Sesame I recently visited Sesame after they reopened, hoping for the same delicious experience Ive enjoyed in the past. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The food LAKS flavor, and the quality has significantly declined. The General Tao, which used to be a standout dish, was particularly disappointing. It wasnt crispy, and the sauce tasted different and bland. Im incredibly disappointed and will not be returning.

That was delicious ! Very calm atmosphere on site. Our server was polite and courteous. He provided us with good service without feeling rushed to leave. An oversight was made when we ordered and to compensate, the entry was offered to us free of charge and without requesting it. I would go back!

Beautiful atmosphere, very good dishes, not exceptional, but still very good. Good service too. First unanimous downside in our group: the dishes were definitely not hot enough although very good. First point to improve. Second thing to improve: the beer list really leaves something to be desired. In the Outaouais we have a large number of microbreweries, but the menu is limited to a few uninteresting beers and without local products, from the Outaouais I mean. An irritant for many of us. And one of the microphones served, (there were two or 3 at most to my knowledge) for me and my colleague, an ipa from Unibroue in cask, was literally outdated. A dubious brown and totally tasteless and flat, nothing to do with the herbaceous and citrus scents that characterize quality IPAs. The waitress even told us that other customers had complained but that nothing had changed since. When several customers complain about the same thing, it would be quite relevant to take an interest, validate and correct the situation. Thats my downside for the beer. I had to say it. But overall it was good.

The waitress was really nice/good service, but the dishes are mediocre. No local beer. The Unibroue IPA on tap was of questionable color and the taste confirmed it. My friend and I asked unequivocally to exchange it.

I went for the first time a few months ago and my experience was disastrous. I had stayed 30-40 minutes with my girlfriend and we had not even been served. Fortunately the management saw my review here on Google and did everything to ensure that my second experience was positive. I received a gift certificate and the best service I have ever received in a restaurant. The waitress came to our table often and our water glasses were always refilled. The food was excellent and the portions generous. Thank you very much for taking the time to write to me and for doing so so that I could have the Sesame experience as it should be. I had a great evening thanks to you and it s clear that I m going to go back.

I went there with my friend looking for a high quality and healthy meal and we found it. Our waitress was super friendly and the atmosphere was great! We ordered tuna poke and also salmon and tuna. It was absolutely great! I will go back soon!

My wife and I thought this restaurant had an attractive ambience - any kind of event could be suitably held here, reasonable prices, great service (thank you Gabriel) and some great dishes. The General Tao chicken was excellent and the key lime pie and black sesame and green tea ice cream were 10/5! The restaurant has a good menu and the food is presented well. We ll be back.

I ordered the Pad Sew Tofu yesterday on Uber eats and the dish was really not good. There were almost no vegetables, the tofu was overcooked and everything was bathed in a sea of soy sauce. I am very disappointed for the price. I will never order from this place again.

My dishes were cold

Honestly, worst evening in a while, there were barely 30 customers in the restaurant and it took 30 minutes before we got a glass of water and it was my partner who had to get up to say we were there. since 5 p.m. Then, 2 hours before receiving our meals!! 5 tables had left the restaurant because they had not yet received their meals! I have never seen that!! Very disappointing! They prioritized the take out and not the people who were there! According to them, They only had two new cooks on site on Valentine s Day . I cant believe it yet. Very disappointing

Valentines Day evening arrived at 5:00 p.m. 3 couples at the restaurant and after 1:45 no meal received lousy service no excuses we were warned nothing we have to get up to get water the restaurant recommends the uber eat service!! !!!!! We left and 4 couples next door also followed without being served last time at this restaurant

The meal was very good. On the other hand, it took 1h45 before being served. I will never go again. They seem to prioritize take outs. Problem in the kitchen rather than the waitresses... too bad!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I dont know if this was an off night or what but here it goes: Greeted and seated relatively quickly. 10 min to come see if we wanted something to drink 15 min for drinks to arrive and we had to tell her we were ready to order which took another 5 minutes for her to come back and take the orders. Salmon Tartare, 2 wonton soups, shrimp tempura, and kaarage. The wonton soups came out pre soy sauced heavily after about 12 minutes. Then we waited another HOUR for the rest of our food. During which time we saw the waitress get in 2 fights with the kitchen staff, no one came to our table to ask if we wanted anything or explain the delay nothing. The main waitress seemed to be continually correcting/helping/training the other one? Unsure there was a lot of gesturing and messing around with the order system. We watched our shrimp tempura sit at the station for delivery to our table for 15 minutes under the heat lamps before the rest of our food slowly appeared. The salmon tartare was unedible. Even my partner who will eat a lot of stuff took one bite and was like nope. It was almost like the fish was old & the wrong grade hard to explain but completly inedible. When we finally flagged the waitress down to clear the table with an entirely uneaten salmon tartare on the table she didnt even ask if there was an issue. So i explained to her it was not edible and bad. She just kinda shrugged and got us a bill. The tartare was still on the bill. Explained to her again that it was inedible and she did not care at all. Her english wasnt great and I thought maybe she didnt understand in the first place? She just said sorry and that was it. So we paid and left. I will never return to this restaurant in Gatineau. The one in Montreal is much much better. The service was awful, it took way too long, the food was mediocre at best. Food presentation was decent.

Very disappointed with the change to the menu, I wanted to eat the chicken or tempura shrimp poké and it was no longer on the menu....the poké bowl is now smaller and almost no vegetables in the bowl, lots of rice where pasta and few vegetables, and the pasta is also changed, I expected to have vermicelli and not large pasta and the pasta is too dry, not enough sauce on the other hand the price is further increased....

Wow!!! What a discovery. It was our first time and we will definitely come back. We cant wait to go back to try something else on the menu. Everything looked appetizing. Everything was perfect; the ambiance, the service, as well as the quality and attention to detail in the execution of the dishes.

Good cocktails/mocktail but not much choice without ginger. Dumpling good but not very hot and it lacked an Asian taste. They had to be dipped in a sauce with a very mild taste. Poke bowl a little too many large pieces of ginger, not enough Asian flavor. There was a bit of a lack of class in the service for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere ..perhaps the employee was too young to give a ++ experience.

Very disappointed in my experience at this restaurant. The chicken pad thai was okay, Ive had better. The drink I ordered from the menu tasted like cough syrup and it took forever to get it. The waitress did explain that there was a group of 14 people in the restaurant but it still took forever with only 1 bartender. That drink was not worth $12, it was so gross I couldnt drink it. The wonton with peanut sauce was the best thing we ordered.

Just ordered some Bao using Uber Eats and they were extremely underwhelming. The restaurant took such a long time to prepare the order that when I received it the Bao were cold and the side salad was wilting and soggy. I had requested some fries as a side for one of the orders and received another wilting /soggy salad instead. That being said, I preferred the chicken General Tao over the duck. The Bao was more substantive, the sauce was flavorful and the crispy chicken brought a nice contrast against the Bao bun. The duck Bao fell flat. Not much meat, soggy and very subtle taste. For the price of the meal and the ok- meh taste/quality of the dishes, I would not reorder Bao from this place. I was really hoping for some tasty Bao on the Gatineau side but I will definitely revert back to my preferred options on the Ottawa side, which is very unfortunate.

Beautiful restaurant, courteous staff, you have to ask for the menu when you come to order takeaway, they dont have the reflex to present it. The food is excellent, but its inconsistent. One week your chicken is a dream and the next week it cannot be cut with a knife because it is so stiff, they often forget ingredients in the salads, you will have to validate before leaving.

We decided on take out because the music inside the restaurant was so loud and ordered online. Very simple and easy process with barely a 15 min wait which was great. Pokebowl and dumplings were good. We were looking forward to mixed dumpling but do feel they tasted all very similar. Portions are good, which slightly compensated for tge prices

Its a cute restaurant, the food isnt very tasty or special.. The Bao burger is quite disappointing and bland.

The food was good. Could have a little more flavour. But the service was poor. We got there at 20:50hr, waited 15 min for server to bring the menu, waited another 15 min to take our order and 10 min more to get the soup that was lukewarm, another 20 min to get the rest of the food and also another 8 min before they gave us plates to put the food on. When was time to get our dessert, the waiter told us that the kitchen was closed. The dessert and tea, that we never got, was included in our order. They didn t discount nothing, We paid for the desert and tea ..when I point it out that we never received it. They ignored us. The waiter should pay attention to his customer instead of spending time showing pictures from his phone to two young girls. The food was sitting at the kitchen counter and still, he was trying to get lucky with the girls. His brain was in his pant. I just wanted to have a nice meal in a cozy place with my wife. It turned out to be a very upsetting $117 meal for two. Stay away from this place.

I had to cancel an order with uber eats because the restaurant was not able to finalize the order after more than 1.5 hours of waiting....I called and was told that they are in the rush....poor customer service....

First time here with my family. We arrived and were told by the server typically they need a call for a big group. Keep me in mind we were 11-12 people and about 90% restaurant was empty. If 11 to 12 individual people walked in you wouldnt make a comment like that or turn business down to those people. But because we all showed up same time it was a big deal for them. They sat us down, server took everyones order. I will not speak on behalf of everyone else in the family and how disappointed they were. I will tell you about my dish and experience here. Ordered stir-fry with shrimp. Took two bites and noticed on the third bite that one shrimp was not cleaned. It still had shrimp poop in it. So I looked for more... found 3 more the same way. Asked the server if they clean the shrimps before cooking them. She said usually we do yes. So I showed her the 3 I found not cleaned. Said sorry and walked away. Came back after 2min saying I took the beer off your bill due to dirty shrimps. I asked her if the cheff is the owner. She said no the owner will be here at 5pm. I said no problem thank you. She went and got the cheff to come to our table anyways... so I was confused as to why she showed up asking me what the problem is. I explained to her that if I find poop in my food I will not continue eating the food. Her response was I am sorry that is how the shrimps arrive and left. We paid our bills in full and left the restaurant.

On a quiet Tuesday evening, 20 minutes late for a small order to be picked up (only 1 dish), its unacceptable! Especially since we charge order preparation costs, and it is the customer who travels...not great!!

WAY overpriced for the quantity and taste I will not return to this place. In addition, I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes without ever getting through rather dissatisfied :(

Delicious general tao tofu poutine, very good service, loved the bao burger as well is super tasty and 100% pure chicken breast! Singapore noodles were good and I m looking forward to trying their pad thai!:)

I love their Tofu General Tao, it s delicious!! Like other reviews below, I heard from others who ordered the Chicken General Tao that the chicken was dry so FYI if you like chicken. Great dumplings. I m sad to learn that the Gatineau location is closed, hopefully they will re-open soon.
