I went there yesterday, I ordered the combination plates with some garlic spareribs, not much meat just bonds. Very disappointed.
It's not a huge buffet, so dont expect hundreds of choices. This is a 'standard' choice buffet with more on the menu. There's nothing wrong with it at all. The food is just fine, not the highest rating but good local comfort food. After all you come to a place like this for comfort food, and that is what you get.
Very recommended.. honestly it was perfect to eat to their restaurant.. the food was tasty and perfect. The madam there was really friendly, smiley and lovely..
We tried the buffet, not our best choice. The food tasted good but there was a very limited choice, one type of soup, spring roll, rice, chop suey, battered chicken and shrimp (mostly batter), vegetable dish, chicken wings and spare ribs. Dessert was a tiny cup cake only. Maybe our timing was bad (6pm Sunday night) but we definitely had the bottom of the barrel. The server did not ask if we were missing anything. We felt like we were in the way being the only customers.
Coming from out of town, we were so happy to find Canton’s number. Seriously the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. The egg rolls are to die for - order more, you won’t regret it! We had the rice, Cantonese chow mein, egg rolls and general Tsaos Chicken (the best we’ve ever had). They delivered right to our hotel room, and the service was amazing. We may order again just so we can take the leftovers back with us :)
I've been away for 4 months! My first order back and without even hesitation the front of house staff was as ALWAYS Courteous, patient and very polite. The delivery service was icing on the cake!!! Thank you for always being consistent in service & food
Their huge spring rolls with little pieces of BBQ pork filled with cabage are just insanely good. Good Cantonese chow mein, egg foo young and Yetkamen soup. Pleaaaaaase fix the washroom suffocating scent otherwise I won't be able to eat the food there anymore. It smells all over the restaurant. Please 🙏 thank you.
never had an orange colour and sweet shanghai noodle before... i wonder if they mixed up the sauce with a side meat dish, which tasted salty and soy sauce like, not what we had ordered. this was a take out so had no idea until i was back home...
We have been ordering from this restaurant for years and I would like to leave a 5 star!!! The food is always very good and very very hot! The service is really fast! The employees are always pleasant! What more could you ask for!
First time, and I took 2 combo and eggroll, very disappointed with the food, but the checkout service was great.

The water is not drinkable and not much service to have something else not very good the buffet during the week dessert maple biscuit in a soft box and mini muffin buy in a box

Since my childhood, always eaten well.
I was about to place an order for more than $50 but I was told that the delivery person did not deliver to my home, 7.5 km away. When its the delivery guy who decides instead of the boss, I thank God he said no.

The cashier served a person who arrived after me first. The food was thin and tasteless. Chop suey was only closed beans. The egg trolls were very dry.

Vegetarian options! Large portions served on site and very friendly service. Very good price for the quality on the plate. It s a shame that the front of the restaurant makes you so reluctant to go in, a few refreshments would probably motivate the customers!

I just received my order, all the dishes were upside down so all the sauce was in the bag!!! I ordered a shrimp kong pow ding and as you can see in the photo there is NO shrimp!!! $50 for dry food without sauce and without shrimp. This is the last time I order from this place, after more than 20 years as a customer the food is no longer the same as before and whats more it has become very expensive
Very disappointing tonight. Spare ribs were 80% fat and cartilage. Soo guy and egg rolls were reheated. Rice was ok but not fantastic. Changed over from Oncle Ho due to constant disappointments there. May revert to them next time. Hard to find a good Chinese place in Gatineau these days.

After a long hard day a work, this is a great place to relax and enjoy some casual chinese food. I tried their chow mein, legit. In response to a careless post above, its nice to note that said person does not know what real chow mein is since they simply have not been to China, especially Canton region. Each restaurant has their own flair and I like the version that Canton takes which is nicely represented here. Also give their won ton soup a try, very nice.

This is the first review I have done because it was just that bad.. most of the food was terrible, the worst though is their CHOW MEIN (its NOT actual noodles, it literally looks, feels, and tastes like crackers) and it comes with brussel sprouts. if you order chow mein from here, dont expect actual chow mein, expect crackers and brussel sprouts. I spoke to them on the phone and asked why they would advertise chow mein and not sell it, he said we dont have to sell chow mein noodles just because our menu says so, we can make it however we want NOT THE RESPONSE YOU WANT AFTER ORDERING NOODLES AND GETTING VEGETABLES, NOT EVEN GOOD ONES!
Super good I love all the pleasant dishes to be served by waitresses with a smile. Sometimes I have excellent, courteous delivery men deliver them. Every time I go on vacation I go to the Canton and I recommend my friends and relatives to go to the Canton.
Sorry to say but its disgusting! Wing wongs frozen chinese food from maxi was way better. Total disappointment.
its by far the best restaurant in all of Gatineau everything is good the waitress is very nice the buffet is small but very good its the only restaurant I eat and I live in the Aylmer sector and Im going to look for it in the canton of Gatineau its the best Chinese in the world.
