Amiral Restaurant & Cafe in Gatineau

New owners are not good for sure, changed the poutine to horrible fries instead of regular potatoes, everything is the most expensive Ive ever seen, no customer service too.

Super good Sharwarma. In my opinion the best in the Hull sector. The food is tasty, the humus and homemade garlic sauce, and the portions are very generous.

We were disappointed with our shawarma plate. The chicken and pita bread was dry. The pickles tasted really weird. It should have a reasonable plate size for 2 people. I was offered the plate for 2-3 which was huge and expensive considering there were only 2 of us.

Best option if you want to cater a party... fed 15 people for $120... with leftovers... fresh and tasty...highly recommend!

Used to like that location but ordered a large Shawarma today and it was by far the worst Ive had. The chicken was blend no taste and I could not finish my sandwich because it didnt taste good. Potatoes were good.

I have been going to Amiral for 7 years. Always had fresh food. But tonight was my last time in this place. The salad was rusty but rusty. When my partner asked him for fresh one, he arrived with a rusty container of lettuce. The potatoes were cold and the chicken dry. There are a few things that have changed at this place and its not for the better.

Unfortunately it was much better in the past! My partner orders, the employee makes his meal and doesnt speak to us anymore, we had to mention to him that we had a second sandwich to prepare. Rusty lettuce really not fresh I ask for fresh lettuce, he brings out a bin of lettuce which is no better! The chicken was dry not enough sauce and the potatoes were good but very cold. The employees around were chatting loudly and were not welcoming like in the past. Im disappointed it was so good before.

Whoever works tonight sucks. We paid extra to share the chicken dish as there is usually enough for 2 people. Today we received less meat than a single serving normally contains and we paid extra!! Falafel balls are hard and inedible. Waste of money since they ended up in the trash. Tomatoes were not added as requested. I dont think I will return to this cafe.

0 professionalism with customers and involved behavior with customers. The employee leaves the customer without a response and continues to make the meals. And speaks in a disrespectful manner. I would like customer service development.

Best shawarma on all humus!

I ate at Resto que il est bon shawarman the other day and it was incredible! The flavors were explosive and the meat was super tender. The portions were generous and the service was great. I recommend it 100% if you like shawarmas! Parking: The parking lot is so hard to find a space because there were so many people its really popular. The parking lot is so clean, keep it up

Phew! I have already been more impressed with their food. A family meal with very little meat mostly burnt and dry. Two pitas so not enough to accompany the meal. It looked like the employee was somewhere else! Quite disappointed!

It was my first time trying this place, I made a chicken shawarma plate order through doordash. The plate was very delicious, the rice was fluffy and chicken was moist and crispy. The Hummus is one of the best I ve ever tried. And the portions is great. The plate overall was very delicious and visually appealing too!. I had to call them and thank them for the delicious meal. Will definitely order again. Highly recommended!

Not clean

I went to this cafe to try it not the shawarma next to it. The shawarma resto and the cafe share the same space so its kind of a mood killer. The decor was created by someone who obviously has no idea what a real cafe is. Maybe go and visit moca loca and mulligan. It looks cheap and generic. Also plastic fork... really??? I ordered a crepe with chocolate and received the most disgusting outrageous thing I have seen. Someone chopped up and murdered some poor crepe and.made spaghetti out of it then spritzed some ready cheap chocolate sauce over it. Also the girl mixed up my order though there was no one there. Also ordered the smoothie and again this poor girl had no idea what a smoothie was. I had to throw it it was this bad, some milk and badly chopped mango pieces inside. please fix your menu, I can make all of these at home, but would be happy to have a cafe nearby.

I had a SUPER DELICIOUS small chicken shawarma there today ! It was juicy, made with very fresh ingredients to my liking ! I took the combo with a salad and drink. The salad was crispy fresh! This is the mark of a place which truly CARES to deliver top quality! I loved their new coffee corner which has a nice sit-down atmosphere ...where you can get coffees and hot drinks, pastries, desserts and even scrumptious pancakes! So, now you can even go for breakfast there! I will definitely stop by more during this summer! The place is air-conditionned, it is very clean, the service is excellent and warm. This is a win-win place to go! You bet that I am going to make it a point to encourage this business !

Extremely dirty place, all is sticky around you, looks like it hasn t been cleaned or maintained in years. There is even broken glass everywhere like the actual door and glass wall are broken with all their pointed edges still there! I surely do not recommend. I am not sure how they received all those positive reviews but it surely is in no way close to a Lebanese shawarma restaurant s cleanliness and taste.

A very disorganized operation. I made the pick-up order online and arrived at the indicated time on the app. I checked in with the cashier, and he said they had not started the order yet but they will get to it soon. I understand they were busy so I waited as they finished up the other orders. Another 20 min passes and they are now taking new orders from walk-ins and they still have not started my order yet. I spoke to the manager and he doesnt even seem to be aware that there were awaiting orders, but he did finally start the order. I specifically reminded the cashier that there was a baklava in the order but instead got a date square. The icing on the cake I guess. There were 4 people working in the front and they all seemed very lost. I strongly suggest not to order from a delivery app as they do not have any systems in place to deal with them.

Stop reading and go get a delicious chicken sandwich and some of their potatoes right now (the toum is also spot on) Kudos to the staff and management of this business for being super consistent in their food, its always great. So weve been homeless for the first time ever for about 2 weeks now. We went and spent our last 15$ on shawarmas... BUT they gave us free potatoes and made sure we were OK!! The food itself is BETTER than shawarma palace in ottawa!!! 10 out of 10 will recommend amiral to EVERYONE!!!!!

Ie been hungry form shawarma for over a month. Went to Amiral for the first time at lunch time and it was EXCELLENT. Will return for sure. Too the chicken shawarma. Garlic sauce is very good and lots of chicken in the sandwich.
