125 Prom. du Portage, Gatineau, QC J8X 2K2, Canada
This warm, relaxed restaurant prepares distinctively North African & Moroccan cuisine.
I visited the place alone, and it offered a wide variety of food options in the buffet. The food was good, with different flavors to choose from, and the service was great. Just be aware that the buffet fee does not include drinks, so if you are offered coffee, it will be charged separately..
Had a wonderful first meal in Marrakech here - our server Chaima was so kind and helpful. She made sure we all had dishes that were not only delicious but met our dietary needs. Hoping to come back again while here!
The food was so tasty! I had the buffet and really liked their soup. Everyone who ordered La carte got really hot and freshly prepared food. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Vegetarian options are also available
I just got back from Morocco (my partner is Moroccan and lives there but I am Canadian) and all of the food at Chez Fatima is so authentic. I showed him all the restaurants in Ottawa and photos of the food and asked him which one looked most Moroccan and he chose this one. Owner is so warm and kind and so are the servers. You can either do the buffet or the a la carte menu which is what we did. I’d recommend if you want to try everything, come after 6-630 as some items aren’t ready if you come earlier right when they open. We got there at 5:30 and tried to order pastilla but it wasn’t ready and other guests who arrived 30-40 min later were able to order it so just something to keep in mind. Food is amazing, flavourful, and the chef/owner comes out to speak with you! Well worth the visit.
I went to Gatineau for a wonderful Saturday dinner. Fatima was so helpful in every way. From my call to book a table for two, to "a la prochaine"... see you next time. And I will visit again. We took advantage of the buffet that gave a great taste of a number of dishes. Everything was spectacular and the authentic taste of Morocco took me back to my first taste of a local dish in Rabat last year. When you go to Chez Fatima in Gatineau... try everything and definately don't miss the falling off the bone lamb.
Amazing place! The food was delicious and authentic, tasted exactly like my grandmother's cooking! Prices are great for the quality of the meals. The staff was also wonderful and made us feel right at home, highly recommend!
THE BEST! Moroccan food is generally rich in flavor, and delicious. It is however at its best when it is homemade. This restaurant makes every meal feel like home meal. The owner is the chef, who is talented at what she does, very organized, and friendly. She asked us for our opinion to make sure we liked the food and had a good experience which we did. The atmosphere is nice and calming. It is fanily friendly, and can be perfect for business too. The decoration is on point and the music is well picked!
A long-standing restaurant owned by two incredibly warm and welcoming women. I was constantly reminded to relax and feel like home and I fed exactly that. During lunchtime, they offer an awesome buffet with loads of vegetarian choices. I haven’t had such a nice lunch in a long time. Thank you very much!
superb culinary and human experience, Im posting my comment a little late but 2 or 3 weeks ago I ate couscous with my little family and we enjoyed ourselves, we particularly appreciated the welcome from Fatima without filter and her generosity, we felt at home in Morocco, we did more than eat, we shared a warm moment with her and her team, we will definitely come back Kid-friendliness: my girls had a great time, fatima loves children
We had the pleasure of tasting Fatima s cuisine in the company of French friends. In a modest but very warm setting, we ate exquisite dishes (the best Pastilla ever eaten) in the company of an owner whose welcome is as generous as her cooking. We will return and recommend it
Excellent cuisine Very warm atmosphere Things to do first in Gatineau
Great food, quick and friendly service, and really good value for money. Lots of vegetarian options, and amazing stews for the cold weather. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Parking: City of Gatineau parking is free weekdays between 17:00-6:00 including all street parking and the multi-level parking garage on rue Leduc (south of Wellington and Leduc intersection) Lots of private paid parking lots nearby (Dubé)
Wow what a gem of a place and the food was simply delicious. had little kids with us and their buffet had some tasty Moroccon options for them too.
Really nice, good food, nicely served
The pitiful restaurant with few varieties of lunch is too lazy to display even the most basic platters. The only edible items are lentil soup and limited baguettes. If you like lamb legs, you can go elsewhere. I don t recommend it. If you need to find a parking lot nearby, please park in advance. Plan well
One of the best restaurants in the area. I have been coming to eat here for almost 10 years and I am always delighted to eat good couscous. After so much time, sometimes the quality can be on the decline. But with Fatima, this is not the case. Its always a great pleasure to come and eat here. I sincerely hope that the restaurant will last for years to come, it will at least be a safe place to go to eat 5 stars well deserved
Amazing
The best Moroccan food I have ever tasted. There wasn t a single dish that we tried in the buffet that wasn t delicious. Highly recommend.
Nice little restaurant. Courteous and helpful staff. Buffet with a good choice. I give 3 because the dishes are good. Neither bad nor succulent; OK which is 3 stars. It lacks taste. Obviously, to please everyone who wants sweet food, everything is sweet even if its Moroccan. Its correct, well prepared, but it doesnt really taste like a spicy Moroccan.
Very bad customer service, very disappointed as The restaurant was scheduled to close at 10pm, However we came at 8:45 hoping we have some home made traditional food we were refused by the owner of the restaurant. To be honest we went to an Algerian restaurant just across the street we were welcomed and served politely.
The food was amazing, the staff was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere felt like family.
Great food but rude service.
Great food, but there hours are misleading. Just spent $ on parking for them to be closed, yet google says they are open..hmmmm
The buffet is delicious, I recommend! The lamb tagine and the chicken pastilla are excellent, a marvel :) A big thank you Fatima for her welcome and generosity
Super good place to discover Kid-friendliness: Yes
Food was delicious and I loved the fact that Fatima came around to chat with many of the customers to make sure they were happy
Very nice experience! Nice welcome from our dear aunt Fatima! Beautiful establishment where you immediately feel at home. The staff takes great care, everything is homemade, a delight We had such a great time!! I highly recommend CHEZ FATIMA. Many thanks aunt Fatima for your warm welcome, you took us to Morocco We will dream of each other very soon.
Restaurant with authentic Moroccan food, with great quality. More than a restaurant as such, it is now a buffet which makes it better. It has famous dishes such as stewed lamb, stewed young beef, cous cous, and other dishes that we loved. In Dessert assortment is very good too, it has Arab sweets and homemade flan. The place has a very cute decoration! I love the details on the walls. The girl who works there speaks Spanish among other languages, she is super friendly and very nice! He is a very good person because he helped us with many questions about Canada and so on. They give you a jug of ice water with your meal but you have options of soft drinks or Arabic tea! We seriously loved the experience! Buffet price per person $35. Added to this are fees and taxes.
On Sunday evening the buffet was divine, the lamb shanks melted in your mouth, the chicken tagine was tasty and tasty and the 2 vegetable dishes were fragrant and comforting! We couldnt not go back and I havent mentioned the rest, cuckoos, salads, soup and dessert, everything was delicious. Not to be missed if you want to discover real Moroccan cuisine.
A very good and delicious couscous and a generous portion, I recommend.
Authentic Moroccan food at a very affordable price! All the food in the buffet was delicious and cooked to perfection! It felt like a home cooked meal by a Moroccan khala! Variety of choices from couscous, lamb shanks, chicken with olives, kafta to paella, pasta and salads. Desserts and Moroccan tea are included as well. The service was great and everyone was so friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend this restaurant!
I just love it
It s delicious, I enjoyed it
A cozy place with super delicious moroccan dishes. Lovely staff specifically the owner, Fatima. They do everything to make you happy! I definitely recommend this place.
Amazing place. I suggest the buffet and trying a little bit of everything- I found myself liking things I usually do not! Loved every single dish!
Best Moroccan food in Ottawa/Gatineau area. Owner is very polite and friendly. Amazing Lamb..everything was amazing. I took the buffet with my family. Everyone loved it. Thanks Fatima.
Buffet was an amazing deal.
Best tagine and couscous we have ever eaten! a beautiful address in Gatineau that deserves to be visited!!!!! Whats more, the welcome is warm and you quickly feel at home. Vegetarian options: a wide choice for vegetables
Wonderful family owned restaurants serving the most delicious and high quality food
Good atmosphere and very good food! Only one thing that surprised me, halal meat and sale of alcohol
What a pleasant surprise. Was looking for a buffet and chose this location after making a few calls. Excellent food and service. The lamb was especially delicious.
I had a few friends over at my place, and Fatima prepared me a magnificent, tasty and hearty meal. Among other things, the Harira soup was delicious, and the lamb shanks were so tender...all very successful dishes! Thank you Fatima!!!
I went on a Ramadan iftar buffet dinner. I love their lamb (Tajin) and salads. The chef was very nice and the service was great.
A warm welcome! Delicious dishes cooked with great care and expertise. The best fish with couscous! Parking: Free indoor parking after 5 p.m. on the perpendicular street
It was the first time that me and my family went to Fatima. It was a great discovery. The couscous accompanied by Méchoui was delicious. The service is impeccable with a warm welcome. I highly recommend this place and will happily come back.
First time visit a week ago. The restaurant is very ordinary. Presented as family food. It is rather a buffet. Prices are not the ones shown on the website which are for delivery. Even the photos are not accurate. The food was not fresh or attractive. The couscous was rather spongy. The meat was stiff, overheated. The price is hefty for the place. Close to 100 $ for two persons. No service table. The fish never came. The one star is for the dessert. One leaves with the food odour attached to the clothes and body. Not worth the hype.
Its 9:15 pm and the restaurant is closed , on google maps it says 10 pm closing time , I walked in winter to have dinner but sad it s closed .
I really liked this place,
This place deserves seven stars no kidding!!! Super delicious food! Great ambience! Reasonable prices! Definitely recommend!
Fatima and her family are amazing. We loved our first experience. The service and food were excellent. Definitely not our last visit. Thank you so much!
Always a great outing at Chez Fatima! Succulent food! Very attentive service! Such a friendly atmosphere! Congratulations to Fatima and the whole team!
Wonderful real Moroccan food in a intimate setting with the owner personally interacting with customers.Everything feels home made with just the right flavours .I cannot wait to go back.
it feels like home! the food is delicious and the people are very welcoming from our next stay in the area we will definitely come back thank you
Great food and atmosphere and Fatima is so welcoming - it feels like youve been invited to her home.
The owner is very kinda and friendly ! Highly recommended . Thanks Fatima
The food very good. And Mrs. Fatima is a heart.
Thank you it s really very good everything was perfect thank you again
Love is felt in everything - food, service, atmosphere.
The buffet has so many options. I m vegan and had more than 6 dishes to choose from. The stewed potatoes are amazing! We appreciated the owners warm hospitality and will definitely be back.
The staff is very friendly, the price is very good but the food is not morrocan at all... lack of spices..
A tad pricey but the meal was excellent!!! The owners (I presume) were very welcoming, charming and hospitable
Exceptional dishes. Charming owner. Family and friendly atmosphere. Absolutely worth trying!
What a great discovery! There were 10 of us. 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 children. 3 vegetarians, 4 who do not eat pork. Frankly, that evening, I didnt want to eat Moroccan, I rather wanted a good raclette, but I followed the group to this little restaurant. We are greeted on arrival by a lovely waitress with a wonderful smile, very pleasant and warm. Madame Fatima is not far away and goes back and forth between the room and the kitchen. On the menu: All-you-can-eat buffet or table d hôte are the same price: $35/adult; $15 for my 6 year old daughter and free for the 3 year old. After taking a look at the buffet which is very appetizing, we all opt for this option. We had a great time and my desire for raclette quickly disappeared. The food is excellent, the choice on the buffet is perfect: fish, chicken, lamb, vegetables, couscous, rice, salads, soup, desserts... the tastes are delicate, fragrant and worked, you feel that there is something love in this kitchen. Madame Fatima, knowing that we have vegetarians at the table, also brings us a plate of fresh spinach cooked with sweet spices and lemon, what a delight! Homemade harrissa is also to be tasted The homemade desserts are fresh and not too sweet, the baklawas are a real treat! This little restaurant was unanimous: go there, you won t be disappointed! Vegetarian options: See my comment Parking: Easy parking on nearby streets. Kid-friendliness: Special prices
What a great culinary experience with family and friends There were 10 of us, the staff took great care of us and everything was really delicious in the all-you-can-eat buffet. The boss is adorable. I recommend this restaurant with my eyes closed!
Best restaurant in town. Absolutely worth trying. To try it is to adopt it . Thanks to Fatima and her entire team!
By far the best restaurant in Gatineau, I ve had the lamb couscous and it was delicious, I enjoyed every single bite, highly recommended
Great! The fish is worth trying!
How happy I am to find flavors that remained in Europe with my family, here in Gatineau! I enjoyed myself, the dishes are generous, the value for money is there! Incredibly good!
Excellent buffet full of flavors
There seems to be a problem with the lack of restaurant culture in Canada. It seems that even the highly rated restaurants in Canada are actually not that great. First of all the restaurant is dirty. It truly was like being in a Moroccan street market. The spoons were in random places at the buffet, the clean spoons were dirty, cups were dirty, tables were dirty. Getting a clean plate was a lottery. Not to mention, they were cutting cucumbers at the very entrance and not in the kitchen very unprofessional! Service is like being served by your grandma. They bring stuff with dirty hands, and nobody clears the tables. It does not feel like a restaurant. Its like villagers trying to run a restaurant. They do not even serve the plates well. They just come with dirty hands and hand over the stuff to the guests without any manners or any protocol whatsoever. Most importantly, the food...it is not that great. I have tried real Moroccan food, and it was better than this. The couscous was cold from another day, and I even saw the waitress breaking it up by hand for it to look fresh. The only reason why this place is still open is because there is no other option, and people from Ottawa / Gatineau do not know better. Very messy and unorganized place. Not to mention its overpriced... should be 23 dollars maximum for a buffet. Disappointing experience.
Tried the lamb cumin stew and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone is super friendly and I definitely recommend everyone to visit this place.
Service can sometimes affect the dining experience! And this is unfortunately the case here. The food wasnt bad (3/5).Im not going to lie, Ive eaten much better Moroccan food, but my friends insisted on trying this restaurant. The service was really mediocre, and Im mincing my words when I use that adjective (0/5). You had to ask for everything, the water, the table, nothing was offered immediately or suggested... The glasses and dishes were not very clean and lets not even talk about the toilets. Ive never seen such dirty toilet in my life. Even in a gaz station, the toilets are cleaner... The mens toilets were passable, but the womens... Lord, the toilet seat was full of urine, hair and dirt. It was really disappointing... We were all looking forward to try this restaurant.
Try the table haute - great Moroccan food, family atmosphere, more food than you can eat.
Excellent dining and excellent customer service. I just love that restaurant and will keep coming back. Vegetarian options: Great veggetarian options if you dont eat meat. Kid-friendliness: Enough space to welcome kids. Fatima loves them. Wheelchair accessibility: I would say enough space on the main floor. The washrooms are on the second floor, though!
What a friendly place and very good food. To visit without fail!
Really good food! Moroccan food buffet. A must go
Humble, simple, authentic are the key words. I had the pleasure to dine in this authentic Moroccan restaurant last week, and to enjoy the buffet offerings, I have had: Lamb shanks, cous cous and a delicious fish dish plus some sides of beautifully cooked veggies and rice. Everything tasted great, the server was ready to answer all the questions and Fatima herself is a wonderful human being. I will DEFINITELY go back! Merci Fatima, à bientôt Vegetarian options: Vegetarian cous cous, rice dishes
A good buffet that I invite you to taste. Parking: Free municipal parking nearby after 5 p.m.
The restaurant is not closed contrary to what Google mentions. Come support the owner and employees. The food there is exquisite.
Very well received, excellent meal, I recommend.
Great food, warm welcome, amazing hospitality, solid experience, delicious dishes - highly recommend.
Very pleasant place where you eat excellent dishes with very Moroccan flavors. In addition, Fatima is very kind. Rabat family on Saturday 29/07
My parents are Algerian, I am born and raised in Montreal. On my way back from Calabogie, I stopped by to eat. It tasted just like back home (we have meals in common), and I plan to comeback anytime Im in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
I was really disappointed, the dishes offered have nothing to do with real Moroccan cuisine
Hostess/waitress is extraordinarily welcoming, warm and cheerful, makes it feel like a family dinner. The food is authentic, varied and interesting -- we all enjoyed it. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options in every course, and the hostess conscientiously pointed them all out for us. Parking: On a Friday night, plenty of empty parking spaces in nearby businesses that were closed for the evening.
The food was excellent and the service was amazing.
Its a great place, it was my 1st time..the food was delicious, nice atmosphere and Mrs. Fatima gave us excellent service....
Ive been meaning to try this restaurant despite the mixed reviews. The space is clean and pleasant. We loved every single flavourful dish on the buffet. There was a vegetable soup, a good selection of salads, as well as chicken, lamb, meatballs and a couple of vegetarian options along with rice, cous cous and potatoes. The desserts were to die for as well. Service was kind but a bit slow since it seemed they were only a few people (who were all working very hard doing everything). I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Vegetarian options: There are delicious options
If youre hesitating to go this is your sign to do so!! The food is amazing and so is the service. The chicken pastilla is chefs kiss.
Great place great fatima very good food
Parking: Its not easy to become a gamer.
Went for supper buffet. Food is ok/good. People re-using dirty plates going back to buffet, not acceptable ,unsanitary. Food
Good cooking made by a charming owner Fatima! Parking: Difficult parking!
I was amazed by the food and service. Wasn t expecting that much good and homemade food. Went there just because it was on our way without knowing what s that
First of all, I dont understand the opinions, it makes you wonder if theyre the ones writing them. This is not good. The food is lukewarm, little choice. The prices are EXORBITANT! Its dirty, a mess and the staff are extremely noisy and disruptive. They dont let us eat in peace, they continually come to our table and its not even to serve us. We had to ask them to come and serve us or serve us otherwise they wouldnt come. They didnt offer us anything. It took 10 minutes to get a high chair for my daughter and then no one explained how it worked. We werent sure if we should immediately go and help ourselves. We waited for 10 minutes before finally getting up and asking someone if we should help ourselves. The staff is really annoying. They wont stop yelling and theyre in the way. Worst experience of my life.
I went there yesterday and I couldnt be more satisfied. Great customer service, food is so tasty, homemade, portions are generous. I highly recommend it! Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian dishes
Super restaurant!! I love the food and the people here.
Meilleur restaurant Marocain à Ottawa! Made me feel like I got teleported back to Morocco for a really nice meal. 10/10 would recommend
I have not been to Morocco so I cant comment on the authenticity, but I like the lamb tagine I ordered. It was cooked and served in a real tagine. The portion is also great.
Wow! We ordered a bit of everything for takeout for six adults, and everything was delicious ! On top of it, Fatima is just the sweetest lady, which makes the whole experience even better! This restaurant should be next on your dine-in / takout list.
Fatima, a very big thank you, you are always ready and attentive to your customers. Your culinary talents, your generosity and your attention only confirm our desire to return to your home. You spoiled us well last night. Many thanks.
Lovely place with excellent food and service!
Excellent restaurant, impeccable service, very courteous and friendly. Sumptuous and authentic Moroccan dishes. Thanks to Fatima for the excellent welcome! Definitely worth the detour
Delicious food, and amazing dining experience. Felt as authentic as it gets across the ocean.
Best Moroccan restaurant in Hull thank you for the good service Julie...
Amazing hospitality and delicious Moroccan home style food, if you are in Ottawa-Gatineau, do NOT miss this gem
Wow! Amazing food! Delicious! Very happy with all the food and the authenticity! Fatima was superb! Awesome dining experience! I am excited to go back again!
More like a 3.5 star. Its a little family restaurant. We ordered fish tanjine, lamb tanjine and chicken tanjine. In my opinion, here is the good: 1) Friendly staff 2) I like the flavour of the tanjine 3) The mint tea is nice Here is the bad: 1) Food is rather expensive comparing to the Moroccan restaurant on the Ottawa side 2) Meat in the chicken has little texture and stale ... seems to be in the freezer too long 3) Not a lot of meat in the dish overall considering the price we paid. Will go back for a change of the normal food I have ... maybe in another 3 months :)
Excellent food, very friendly and welcoming staff, good atmosphere, succulent taginettttt only downside: some pastries are not good and fresh (not all! the briouettes are good for example) in short I highly recommend this restaurant
Excellent
Delicious authentic Moroccan food
Excellent food, excellent service, great ambiance
Quite unique experience. The food is awesome.
Fatima is so welcoming, and the food she cooks is absolutely delicious. Even alone to do everything, with the help of her husband, she takes the time to speak with each of her clients.
I love this Moroccan restaurant. The food is authentic and the owner is wonderful. She accommodates you and your guests. I went there last week and made a reservation. We were three at the table and two of us wanted to order the feast for two off the menu. Since the owner saw that we were three then she made the feast for two to three people. One of our guests had a nut allergy and she accommodated our table, so the food would not have any nuts. I definitely will go again and recommend this place to others. You will not be disappointed. The service was very good. The chicken, and lamb dishes were great. Also, the chicken pastilla is a must to try, but does contain nuts. Our guest who had the nut allergy couldnt have the chicken pastilla, so the owner made him a Moroccan style salad. He loved the salad and appreciated the accommodation. Her soups are amazing as well (very flavourful). All the food is made with love.
Very nice dining experience! You have to try the chicken pastilla: delicious! We also really liked the tagine with chicken, plums, figs and almonds as well as the tagine with chicken, lemon and olives. This was our first visit and it wont be our last!
Food is amazing in this place. Definitely must try
My husband, toddler and I went there for dinner. Not only was the food amazing - we had chicken and lamb tajines with lemon and olives - but as my little one got a mosquito bite very close to her eyes earlier in the day and was distressed by it, the ladies of Chez Fatima took great care of her, offering ice, and some little food treats. We felt very looked after and welcome. Great choice of food and very convenient location and price. They also have a great buffet option for hungry customers.Totally recommend it!
Okay but dont look in the kitchen...
They were kind enough to offer us a table before they officially opened. Everything in the buffet tasted amazing. Thanks for the lovely Eid meal!
Fish tagine 10 out of 10. Worth the wait.
Excellent couscous, as only my pied-noir mother knew how to cook them. We were starving. all other restaurants refused us access because all the kitchens closed within 30 minutes. Fatima took care of us like we were her family. THANK YOU
The food is a delight. The simple and completely Moroccan decor. With Moroccan music it would be perfect!
I took the buffet, which was really good. Parking: Parking on street (parcometer).
Some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life! Really amazing and worth getting the buffet to try everything! I honestly rave about it to everyone as one of my favourite restaurants, even though I went over a year ago!
The food and the atmosphere were great!
GREAT if you want to treat yourself, try one of their tagines. The only problem you will have is choosing which one to order.
We ordered (to take away) the vegetarian meal for 2 people last Friday and it was delicious! The portions were very generous and the taste of all the dishes was sublime. Thank you for the excellent meal!
The best restaurant in Hull/Gatineau! Fatima is amazing!
Authentic Moroccan flavours and working during the pandemic
the food is delicious, the service is friendly and Fatima is Beautiful
Very friendly very expensive. Bones in food but thats the culture and that deserves five stars. I dont like how close the booths are but honestly I added one extra star writing this. Go for the company if your lonely. Theyll make you feel like your home
One of our favorite restaurants in the area! The buffet is very good value for money, but its the couscous and tagines that are exceptional! I went there as a couple, with friends or for office parties. Always friendly service and excellent meals! We also ordered takeout during covid and everything went well. We highly recommend this restaurant, both to those familiar with Moroccan cuisine and to those who want to try it for the first time. A real gem!
Great food, very tasty and very nice service. A bit expensive but a must try.
This morrocan food is absolutely delicious. Decent price for the quantity, highly recommend! Make sure to call way ahead of time to make your order
Excellent dishes!! And very friendly service.
Highly recommend for Morcian food, great experience and freidly team
Amazing authentic food and family like hospitality. Soooo good! Yay for REAL food!
Moroccan restaurant, clean, Moroccan women in charge, friendly staff. It may not be the best restaurant where you can eat Moroccan food, but it is delicious. The quantity is acceptable, but it may be a little more! Make it again.
Amazing hospitality, great food, lovely staff.
A Moroccan restaurant. The food is very delicious, especially the meat. At lunch, they serve an open buffet.
1. Delicious food 2. Friendly service 3. Dine-in and all you can eat with a wide variety of options 4. Worth the price 5. Patio and drinks Kindly check this place out for some authentic North African / Moroccan food. Highly recommended !!
Food is very good ..they are so generous..price is very reasonable.. i wish only if we could sit outside owner and chief is very cute and friendly..
This is an awesome restaurant with amazing staff. Great value and lots of vegan options!
The price is outrageous
Excellent service, Food is awesome with lots of variety. Their dessert is tasty and authentic. Love every detail about this place. I recommend it to everyone and definitely going back again!
Lovely and delicous food and atomsphere. However, they over charged me for eating in a buffet when I did not have a buffet. And were rude about taking it back. Then they over charged me with their soup (Harira soup suppose be 4.50$ they charged me 6.95$). Overall, a good experience expect for this. The service was just rude and ungrateful (could have been an off day for them, but this is how I felt).
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere The lamb shanks was a little hard, dry and lots of fat Worth the visit
Incredible food, very nice atmosphere. Fatima is a lovely lady, Ill be brining my family here
Such a great experience. First time having Moroccan cuisine and they graciously walled me through the buffet. Will be back !!
Delicious and quite authentic! I love the buffet formula.
Nice food and prices , but the service need to be improved.... pastries were not excellent... mint Tea we wasnt that good though
amazing experience. the owner and chef Fatema goes out of the way to serve you. very down to earth servers.
Hearty dish although service a little slow
We loved it and Santino our son was very spoiled for Fatima.
Good and warm
Excellent food and v good service. Only drawback was high number of wasps outdoor that attack food plates as soon as theyre put on table. We had to go indoors. The restaurant can do something about it, there are non-chemical solutions available.
The taste is not there
Amazing food and owner is so kind! Love it :)
Very good. We had the buffet and it was a bit hard to have a buffet when you cannot actually handle the food - one of the pandemic peeks I suppose - and the server knows little English. leaving that aside de food was awesome! the venue could be better but who cares when you have the best lamb in town? will definitely return and highly recommend!
The food was alright overall. Its not something I would return to eat again. You are at a mom and pops diner, is the feeling you get. Its not worth the money overall but if you feel the need to try it then go ahead. I gave them 4 stars because they are determined and friendly.
Everything just tastes overly sweetened.
Its the only place in Canada that reminds me of who I am
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The food is authentic and the sweets are just great (not too sweet). Highly recommend this place.
Wonderful place! The atmosphere was nice and welcoming, the food was ridiculously good and came in big portions. We tried lamb couscous and homemade merguez tajine, and finished with an assortment of delicious handmade deserts. Highly recommend!
Best authentic Moroccan cuisine in the region. Great Service too.
As always, delicious!!
We had an amazing dinner here for the second time in the past year. The food is extremely flavourful and delicious, the service is very friendly and attentive and portions are large so come hungry! Highly recommend the lamb tagine with fruits and almonds.
The best place for moroccan food... Always a pleasure to be There .. amazing atmosphere and great customer service
Best food very authentic Excellent service really recommend it
Super good soup, very good royal couscous and succulent lamb tagine. Thank you Mrs. Fatima for your kindness, the excellent take-out meals and your homemade bread. Well come back to see you.
Very nice place, nice people family restaurant , A bit of méditerranéen music in the background as ambiance would be nice I think ..
Incredible value for both the quality and quantity. Food was top notch, I had just moved to the area and stumbled upon it while looking for a quick meal. I was very lucky to have found this gem, I will definitely be a return customer.
Delicious!!
A fabulous experience. The food was excellent. Wonderful service from Fatima and her staff. Apparently, we were there on the first night of reopening since renovations. Fatima took excellent care of us. Highly recommended.
Generous portions, good food, fair prices, excellent customer service. Chez Fatima provides a comfortable and homey ambiance for her patrons. This is probably one of the best Moroccan restaurants in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. Highly recommended!
Evening dinner with homemade Moroccan cuisine, reminiscent of Morocco, excellent service. And the super delicious fake dishes absolutely visit right next to the Laurel Bridge in Gatineau
The food was absolutely delicious - everything made in house - and the service was amazing. The owners took the time to make sure we had everything we needed.
The food was super delicious and you feel like youve visited Morocco
Best food, clean, warm Moroccan welcome, excellent customer service. Many thanks Ms. Fatima
Mrs. Fatima is nice person, good food, good serve. Its halal for moslem
Without hesitation, my favorite restaurant in the greater National Capital region! The food is just as good for take-out as it was in pre-COVID times. We are so looking forward to being able to return to the dining room to rediscover all the warmth and intimacy of the place. Fatima and her team are wonderful people, support them!
Amazing place with tasty food. Best couscous in town.
Too expensive for the quality we had. I will never order again.
