152 Rue Montcalm, Gatineau, QC J8X 2M2, Canada
Empanadas, ceviche & roast chicken are among the classic Peruvian dishes at this cozy cafe & bar.
I used to really love Le Petit Peru on Somerset but our meal here was disappointing. My spouse's rotisserie quarter chicken was just barely cooked. I ordered a garlic chicken dish. I couldn't taste any garlic. It had no flavor. It just tasted 🔥.
Food is delicious, authentic Peruvian food. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit and would come back!
A little piece of home! The food is delicious (I’m biased as I am Peruvian) and the staff is great! And they actually have real pisco. Go and try some peruvian food!! And get an Inca Kola as well :)
🛑 NOT WORTH THE MONEY 🛑 having tried many Peruvian restaurants in Ontario, we tried this on in Gatineau! The chicken was somewhat dry and the side salad, not tasty! The Anticuchos (beef heart) were almost paper thin and not plenty, however they were good! The mixed ceviche was ok! The fish for the ceviche was tilapia which brings down the quality of the ceviche and the big corn added to the ceviche tasted like it had been plated straight from the can and not cooked in a marinade (star anise and cinnamon) the food came out sporadically from the kitchen (only one person working in the kitchen) there was a person sitting at the bar which I can only assume was the owner because he closed the place when it was time to close! However I should mention that at no time in the 2:30-3 hours we spent there did he ever get up to help the kitchen staff or even clean the super dirty washrooms. No pride in the establishment whatsoever!
I had to keep my coat. It was very cold inside the restaurant. Ceviche was ok. Rice was very good. Tequenos con huancaina was excellent.
2022 Aug update Very happy that the place is open for lunch. Had to try it out. It’s located by the ruisseau and old Hull. Street parking is easy and they also offer onsite parking. inside decor is homey and cozy. Tried out the Ceviche Petit Peru which is the combo plate with Ceviche Mixto ( marinated sea food) and Jalea ( deep fried breaded seafood). the Jalea portion was quite small but the breading was nice and crispy. It had squid , fish and shrimp mix. Both fish and shrimp were delicious but squid lining was not removed. I was quite surprised with this and it cause the texture to be Chewie and gamey. Ceviche mixto part was quite awesome. They put quite a bit of fish inside the taste was great. Ordered beef empanada but got chicken instead. Overall ; paid $48 for lunch and cannot say I am happy with the wrong order nor impressed with Jalea / fried plate. But ceviche mixto was good hence 4*.
I find the quality of the food here is a hut or miss. The traditional ceviche we ordered was disappointing. We had also ordered 3 others mains and the tamale. The beef slices were tough. Either the cut of the meat used wasn't of good quality or the cooking technique wasn't up to par. The food was extremely salty. The only item we liked was the fried plantain and they gave maybe 4 small pieces of that. It wasn't worth the cost we paid so we most likely won't be going back.
Very tasty food, and lots to choose from. The service was lacking in attentiveness, but the place is small enough that we were always able to grab someone when needed. They were also very good about identifying gluten-free options (we emailed in advance).
Dont worth the money food was taste less. Service was ok the lady was nice ....and my wife saw a roach walking over the exterior glass window....
Updated: Sunday September 29. 1 star only - we drove 40min and arrived at 7pm to be told they were closing early because they didn t have any food left very disappointing and not impressed. Great service from the employees, our server was named Alex. We had the pollo a la brasa and the lomo saltado. The chicken was tender and juicy, excellent seasonings, but the fries were a little too soft, not crispy enough. They have Inca Kola on the other hand!!! Its worth the detour, I was bored!! They also sell some Peruvian groceries.
They have some great Peruvian food for everybody to enjoy.
Food wad definitely not worth the price disapointed for sure felt under cooked no spices lacked flavor also asked for hot sauce and was given a salsa with absolutely no heat do not recommend sorry much better places to spend that kind of money
I liked everything except for when they charged me $25 for a dish that was $15 on the menu lol
11/10!!!!
Best food. Worst service very hard to reconcile
Service was sadly not the best, but the food and drinks were quite tasty! Parking: There is a parking lot beside the restaurant, but its small. Food : 4/5 |
Gracias!
I just received my order through Uber and it was disappointing how little I received for the price I paid. I felt scammed. Please send the orders to home with the same amount of food that you serve when you go to the restaurant. Thank you and I hope you take this into account. this opinion since you have a Restaurant with an exquisite menu!
I had a traditional ceviche for dinner, it is well served for one person, if you re not too hungry you might be able to share or have some leftovers. Absolutely beautiful meal. I also treated myself with some alfajores for dessert, didn t disappoint either. I would definitely order from them again. I placed the take out order in person (maybe not busy hour, it was around 5pm) and it was ready in about 10 minutes.
The food is fresh and excellent. The staff is friendly.
Zero recommended this place! The service is terrible! We ordered appetizers and it took an hour, then the main dish took 1 more hour and they brought only one persons dish, when it was finishing they showed up with 4 others and finally the last dish arrived when we had all finished. In addition to being expensive, the service is terrible.
Well, really, if I had known that it was such a bad restaurant I would never have tried to go, terrible service and the food, it would be better not to talk about . Terrible, stored, little flavor. In short, I dont recommend it at all.
Delighted with Mirnas attention, a beautiful smile! I bought two leches de tigre to take away, exquisite and on time ! Ill be back soon!
The place in town to go for ceviche and leche de tigra. Kudos to Jorge!
It was a great place
Not impressed. Clearly trying to cut costs by lowering the quality of food! Empanada does not have either hard boiled eggs, nor olive inside. Also the potatoes garnished with olives, have one olive. Hardly any meat in tamale. Not impressed. Food : 3/5
We have been going to this place for several years, every time we go to Ottawa... We have always loved this place. But this time it was different, maybe a new chef... it lacked taste and flavor.
Top Peruvian spot in Ottawa/Gatineau.
Delicious food. Friendly servers.
Good service, good meal and good atmosphere
Great food good chicharon...I will come back. We are new in the area.
Cozy little Authentic Peruvian Restaurant. I was disappointed by the limited selection of Peruvian dishes, but the food was good and affords an opportunity to try typical Peruvian dishes. The atmosphere is good for a family or a group of adventurous friends who are looking for a fun night out. I would NOT recommend this place for a romantic dinner. The tables are too crowded for a sense of privacy. The prices are a little high but not expensive. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary or just looking to enjoy a little Peruvian cuisine I suggest you give this place a try.
We waited about 1 hour to be served and the restaurant wasnt even full, just another table apart from us, the plate wasnt big for the price either... we called the waiter to order because he had told us to calling him when we wanted to order and he said he was better off taking the order from the other table, but the other table didnt even ask him to come and order
Went here on a chance when the restaurant we planned didnt do dine in. Came across Lucas who, with a big smile, made sure we were taken care of all night and even gave us an unexpected taste of fresh ceviche. It was mouthwateringly delicious. Also the Lomo Saltado was amazing. I cant recommend these enough. We had some appetizer and really fantastic Pisco based drinks too. Order anything here that sounds unusual to your pallette, youll love it and wont regret a thing.
Very good
If you are a lover of good food and you are in the corners of hull petit peru should be able to amaze your taste buds
Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people !
Really really good
This place is amazing, very friendly staff employees and the food i can t say enough. The food was easily 12/10 and id definitely recommend. The cheesesticks are so good the cheese melts in mh mouth. Make sure to tip the employees good they work very hard for this amazing service and food !!!
Kid-friendliness: They were very nice
The foods great! Recommended!
Im Peruvian and Ive been looking for a traditional Peruvian food restaurant for almost 2 years. I finally found the jackpot. If you are looking for diversity, Petit Peru is the solution for you. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The employees are really nice and friendly too.
Honestly, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!!!
Very good food nice interior and very nice people
The food is always very good and the service is on point
To be honest, I expected a more lively atmosphere at the Peruvian restaurant. They were also seemingly understaffed because there was only one person who served all tables, and so, sadly, the service fell short. The staff didnt take the initiative to go around checking if the customers needed something else after the food had been served. And we kinda had to really get the staffs attention a few times in order to ask for more water or sauces. I came as a group of four people with my husband and friends. I had ordered the Poke Bowl Achevicado (Rice, salad, and fish cuts), and my husband had the Traditional Ceviche. I waited long for mine to arrive, and it did arrive last. Unfortunately, the taste didnt impress me much. It felt like it wasnt enough fish cuts and not well marinated. So, it turned out bland. I had to order some additional calamari just so I could finish my rice with it. Even my husbands ceviche, which is supposed to be their specialty, was just okay. On the other hand, our friends got Pollo a la brasa (roasted chicken) and a Jalea (seafood platter). Theirs were surprisingly quite good. If I ever come back, I will definitely order those two things.
Superb discovery! The restaurant is friendly, the staff attentive and available. I ordered for a party where the majority of guests are food fans... everyone found something to suit them. The chicharon platter was a widespread hit, the empanadas and tamales went like hot cakes. The ceviche was thin and fresh. The lomo saltado, a beef and vegetable stir-fry, was extremely tasty. For the little ones, roast chicken and fries have been popular. One of the favorites of the evening was the absolutely delicious and addictive sauces and sweet potatoes. THANKS! We will come back for sure! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian empanadas and options for those who eat seafood.. Parking: The restaurant has parking on site. Kid-friendliness: Food well suited for children, spiciness is present in some dishes but not all.
Very authentic Has a lowkey vibe Loved the ambience. The servers were very polite and informative. They were willing to accommodate our requests. Knowing french would definitely help a little while ordering Every dish had a distinct flavor I would not recommend the cheese sticks or other fried items Definitely try chicha morado and their peru specific cocktails :) Vegetarian options: A few options on the menu are customizable to fit vegetarian restrictions. Some starters are also vegetarian friendly Dietary restrictions: I was with a friend with peanut allergy They were able to cater to that and had enough non-peanut options
I always come here whenever I visit Ottawa. They serve fresh authentic Peruvian dishes. Highly recommend!
Disorganized and incompetent service. Any food Banal atmosphere Poor comfort I will not return
Delightful menu with excellent service. I highly recommend the Jalea and the Tres Causas.
Small restaurant, very noisy and packed, because of the Saturday evening buffet. We chose the a la carte menu. My partner received his starter and main course at the same time, fifteen minutes before the other three people at the table were served. One of the starters was never served. We had to ask for an aperol three times, and we had to give the recipe to the waitress. It was on the menu though. No one came to see if everything was okay at our table. I chose the plate that combines ceviche and jalea. At $33, its way too expensive for such a restaurant. Its a price that I would have found acceptable in a well-run restaurant, where the service would have been at least good, and where the decor would have been pleasant. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Very delicious! Very delicious authentic food from Peru! Authentic Peruvian cuisine! I recommend it very much. I recommend you trying peruvian food! We ordered: - empanada de pollo (with chicken) - causa acevichado (mix causa with ceviche) - fettuccine de huancaina con anticuchos (fettuccine with huancaina sauce with pieces of beef hearts) The portions were generous, the meat tender and juicy! The service was fast for a Saturday 5 p.m.
Best chicken of the NCR
I love the food and the service
Very good rotisserie chicken (brass pollo) at a very reasonable price!
The food is fine but took 1 hour to get my food
Service very slow, the waiter brought first one of the plates, 15 minutes after brought two more and 5 minutes after brought the last one, the interaction was good, very kind, and they speaks spanish, the environment is good, I expected more of the food.
Meh, just meh. Protons are a bit crazy - 1oz of fish 1 lbs rice?? Paying for the rice at that point. Service was slow, only one server and the soccer game was on, so makes sense...lol we were the only ppl there. Not to sure what else to say about just meh. If you are looking for a different ethnic food to try- for sure try it.
We ordered several traditional Peruvian dishes and found them all excellent. Unique flavors and spice combinations make this a novel dining experience.
Food is good but it s a long drive for me and Google says it s open on Mondays, it s not
Ordered Pollo a la Brasa. Chicken was raw. Fries were not cooked. Food took 45 minutes. Cancelled my order. Took off and went to get shawarma
It doesnt sting at all... The meals are super SWEET... if you dont eat Spicy this is your place.... I am a lover of Peruvian food... but this restaurant doesnt taste like Peru at all....
I loved it, the place is comfortable and pleasant. The dresser was tasty and the most important thing for this place that is Peruvian is that they speak Spanish.
The food is excellent, but as you can see in the various comments, the service is lousy, however the staff is very nice, unfortunately this means that the experience is not conclusive. I recommend an alternative to go to the Amazonas restaurant.
Reminded me of a bar I went to in Nazca Peru. Great service and friendly personnel. The food was delicious and quite filling. The price is on average for peruvian in the region. At the back is a small pantry selling Peruvian foodstuff.
Disappointed at many levels. Waited over 1 hour for appetizers, and taste was fairly bland; meat was overcooked. Some items on menu not available. They added an item on bill that was not ordered - good thing I checked. This place only good for coffee and ceviche. We wont return. You should eat well before coming here- because you will have nothing to eat for over 1 hour.
The food taste sour, I ordered tamales and empanadas! I was hoping to try for the first time and unfortunately it was an extremely disappointing experience
Possibility of eating roast chicken
unique and delicious empanadas. We havent eaten these empanadas for many years and they are still the best Peruvian empanadas in Ottawa
Very careless service Not attentive staff Regular food, the ceviche smelled only of pepper, I dont recommend it at all. The only good thing, the fries.
amazing
Excellent food! Very friendly staff. They have options for dead food lovers and meat lovers. Great appetizers options to share. Fully recommend the visit!
If you have a few hours for a meal, I recommend it because it is very good. Otherwise, find out about the wait before ordering. Takeout seems popular. There are also frozen meals on sale. Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair.
Delicious food and very reasonable prices for the big portion sizes. My favourites are the lomo saltado and the leche de tigre
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere.
The best ceviche in town My 8 month stay in Gatineau was all the more pleasant thanks to Petit Peru
The tamale tastes very bad
Very tasty and awesome food! Will definitely go back again!! Love it
Always delicious. We had reservations for the all-you-can-eat buffet. It was crowded and the dishes were quickly emptied of their contents then the kitchen managed to take over and everything was available after the second round at the buffet. The owner was seated with his family for a private party and they also ate at the buffet, which increases confidence if you had doubts about the quality or safety of the food served. I recommend without hesitation this restaurant run by the same owner for several years. Parking: Around ten locations on the side of the restaurant.
If you like to eat in filth...glasses rubbing off cold and not well cooked food...this is the place for you...eurkkkk!!!!
Very disappointed. Service was slow and sloppy. Front house staff appeared to be children. The server did not even take everyones order at the table before going to place the order to the kitchen. (7pp). Had to get up and knock on the kitchen door (while observing our server eat french fries) to inform him that our table order was incomplete. Did not ask if anyone would like another drink. When I passed by the bar, our server was too busy surfing social media on their cell phone. Cafeteria quality food. The server also charged us twice on credit card for the bill.
Delicious food: ceviche, sautéed sirloin, causa, pisco sour...all of them highly recommendable.
I placed an order, 2 Jaleas and two more items. The order did not arrive complete, it was cold, the presentation was very poor. The delivery was made by doordash. I called to the restaurant and the answer was that they could not send the other part of the order or that I had to go and pick it up. I am really disappointed . I dont recommend it.
I really liked it, the dish poor loin tastes very good recommended
Wonderful friendly staff! Great food!!!
Dont speak French...both for the reservation and for our welcome. We are in Gatineau.....in Quebec!!! Unacceptable!!!
The jalea was disappointing. Small portion, overcooked... Very little onions to accompany the dish.
And that s it, it s done! We let ourselves be tempted by this pretty little restaurant on rue Montcalm. Quite delicious. Everything is done in simplicity. The mixed ceviche, a real treat, and the causas (salmon-tuna-beef) are so good! We are sold, after only one visit. Viva Peru!
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to pick up the most delicious Peruvian food: Ceviche, Cuzqueña beer in bottles, Tres Leches cake and fresh Alfajores, and if I would ve been in the area for a longer time I would ve gladly gone back for more. The Ceviche was the best one I ve had outside of Peru, freshly made and incredible, the alfajores were made right there while I was waiting for the ceviche (the alfajores were delicious! my nephews and sister loved them!. I would gladly go back, the menu had ample choices to accommodate the most picky eater, give it a try, will not regret.
Love the food here but I am always reluctant to come because of the long wait. I dont know what the issue is but I cant understand a restaurant having 1 server on a weekend. I have been here 3 times in the last month and waited over an hour to get our food or be told that some of the items we ordered are not available. So sad because this place is obviously very popular and the food, when we got it, was always awesome!
Went here with a group of friends and after trying all their food I have to say that my choice was the absolute best, try the chicharron sanguichon its delightful and massive, so wont be disappointed if you come with a big appetite. The alfajores are delicious as well. But be prepared for a long wait time, it took us almost 40 minutes to be served.
Great food and great service! I loved it
Great place to eat. Food was delicious! Staff was very friendly.
We went for Mothers Day, the ceviche tasted a little strange, Im Peruvian. The chaufa rice looked like oatmeal, horrible. I ended up paying $30 for just having a quarter of a chicken with potatoes that was on the menu for $14. My friend and I wanted to buy creams and they were already blessed. And not to mention the customer service, not at all helpful.
Went for All-you-can-eat, which they only do a few times a year and boy am I glad to have had all those options to choose from. Food was delicious, the ceviches were amazing, the empanadas so soft and fresh, and the seafood rice was probably the best Ive ever had. Will definitely go back again, and soon! Kudos to the owners and chefs!
Not good for pollo a la brasa!!! Sorry but it was nasty
Too pricey and food is meh.
Wonderful food, unique experience in the region, great staff - however 4 stars due to very slow food service during weekday lunch hour
Does not pass health guidelines!!!! Please dont order the Leche de Tigre it is basically rotten fish/ rotten broth, it is so many days old I can tell by just smelling it and by eating it. Its just makes me feel sick.
Our food was good and generous. Unfortunately, the service and wait time was ridiculous. My friends had to keep chasing the turtle for a waiter. Not one bit attentive. At one point there were people at 5 tables but two tables left because the service was so slow. When the food did come out (We were a table of 5) it came one plate at a time with about 8 minutes between each of the first four. The last meal, which was basically a simple sandwich arrived about 40 minutes after the first meal. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone. Even the delivery drivers were stuck waiting at least a half hour. They really need to wake up!
Delicious and friendly
Very tasty food, silent atmosphere, poor service, difficult to reach, long wait and errors when taking orders. Not really Peruvian.
Really good, a little expensive but good
there seems to be a dichotomy between what the customer asks for and what they are served. I asked for a quarter chicken and was served a whole chicken. Too bad, the menu is still interesting, there is room for improvement in terms of service.,
Amazing food, spicy tigers milk is my recommendation!!!
Seafood cocktails are must
Food is really good, very tasty, and authentic. Good portion. Great service. Love it!
The food is not bad but not amazing, the waitress is rude and they can improve the cleanness.
With this restaurant you never know how the food it will be, sometimes you go and the food is great and others is just terrible like yesterday for example. The wait time was ridiculous, the waitress did not tell us in advance that the food was going to take so long. They need to improve their service and the quality of the food, it shouldn t be a hut or miss.
Little gem I found. Service is simple but genuine, and the ceviche mariscos was amazing, and thats an understatement.
Great authentic food friendly service
Avoid. We had reserved a week in advance but they lost the reservation first thing we were told on arrival. After 20 mins we had to get up to ask the waiter if we could have menus. He brought them to us in a stack and left them on the table. Brought us glasses in a stack and a bottle for us to serve ourselves and place. Then he disappeared for another 15 mins when we had to ask him now if we could order. I wish I could say they were busy but there was only one other family in the restaurant. The one cook was eating at the bar, the other server was on her phone in the kitchen and the main server who couldn t care less was also too busy on his phone. 4 appetizers never showed up either. The food was decent but the service was abysmal. Almost 2 hours for a meal is ridiculous, it seems they don t value or want any business. Also, avoid the bathroom, of the two stalls, one was used as storage with a filthy mop and the bathroom was nasty. Spend your money somewhere else where they actually want your business. Also just saw that the waiter charged us for the same plate twice. On separate bills. Absolutely ridiculous, if you can t remember an order, write it down, what a abuse to clients.
I have been going to Petit Peru for years and it seems that they just keep going downhill as time passes. Unfortunately, this will definitely be my last time. Recently, I placed a 50$ plus take-out order and the quality of the food was horrible. My ceviche tradicional had a rotten sweet potato and the plate portion was so much smaller than usual. It is not worth it for the price. I am surprised that I did not get sick. This is very sad as this used to be one of mine and my familys favorite restaurant.
So delicious Peruvian dishes in Gatineau.
Very tasty food! friendly staff. 100% recommend this place
Excellent typical meals! I enjoyed it from start to finish. I probably ate too much too but everything was absolutely delicious! Thanks to Lucas for the excellent service too!
Very good food. A bit like eating at home
Nice restaurant with nice staff. The food is delicious, especially the tilapia or shrimp chevice.
Lucas was fantastic with us!
A varied menu, very tasty dishes and Lucas attention, excellent. THANKS !
I ordered 2 Lomo Saltado and asked for one without tomatoes. BOTH came with tomatoes. Empty seats around the restaurant but when I asked if I could dine in the owner just said were full. Nothing special, especially for the price. The beef was chewy and dry. The fries were amazing tho. Youre honestly better off going to Chipotle.
I have been a fan of Petit Peru and its delicious ceviche for several years. On the other hand, we left empty-handed this evening, because we were shocked by the non-compliance with health measures. When we arrived at the restaurant to collect our take-out order, there was a table of 8 people, without physical distancing. None of the cooks present wore a mask and the waiter wore his on his chin. When we politely mentioned to him to cover his face when approaching the counter to pay for our order, he refused. He told us it was his right not to wear it. We then chose to leave the establishment without collecting our dishes. This is very unfortunate and irresponsible in these times of pandemic, where all efforts must be made to avoid new outbreaks. Hoping the owners will remedy the situation.
First time experience. Great chicken! The fries are real potatoes, so points for that, but Ive had better. They were a little underdone for take out and were on the soggy side after an 11 minute drive home. My only complaint would be all the styrofoam packaging. Its 2021. We have better solutions that are affordable and environmentally responsible. I would pay extra for that.
Absolutely phenomenal every time.
Superb restaurant with varied layouts. I tried the Chicken Polo alla brasa. Generous portions and succulent chicken. You absolutely have to try it.
I liked the store, they are professionals, they know what they do
Cozy place. Had the cheviche.
Amazing service and food!
Love love love! Definitely recommend! But the staff there are very rude. .
Great experience. The food is delicious, and the customer service was even better. I ordered Ceviche tradicional and Jalea. Well done Petit Peru. :)
I m pretty sure the fish was starting to go bad in my ceviche.. I ordered takeout and while the leche de tigre was tasty, the traditional ceviche had several pieces of off-tasting fish. Also the corn was unseasoned, I m not sure if that s normal? I won t be ordering again.
Excellent flavor and presentation of the dishes, affordable prices and friendly staff.
Good food , great service
We ordered on 7/17 around 7:00 pm, roasted chicken and a tamale, I can guarantee you that the chicken we received was either from Costco or super c, we are loyal customer to this restaurant and the chicken we received was not the chicken they usually make. Why would you loss a loyal customer over 1 order? Why don t you just refuse the order instead?, also, if you know what tamales is all about, please don t waste your money here, it s $6 for a small tamal with no chicken in it. Again AVOID THIS PLACE BECAUSE THEY SELL CHEAP ROASTED CHICKEN FROM SUPER C OR COSTCO WHEN THEY RUN OUT OF THEIR OWN ROASTED CHICKEN.
food is very good, very fresh. the prices between great and fair. we usually get the fried cassava, empanadas, those delicious cheese things (taquenos?) we only order delivery from here so no info on service. its not the fastest but its my sons favourite and worth the wait so I just order a bit early
I honestly dont know whats happened to this restaurant! The quality of their dishes is very low! They dont pay attention to what they are serving and that is a shame because for a long time it was one of the best Peruvian restaurants. A salchipollo with 4 pieces of chicken as you see in the photo and a chaufa rice with a piece of metal in it! Awful This place has definitely lower its standards, they are not careful with the food they are serving us, I got an arroz chaufa and it had a piece of METAL string tangled in the rice.( I have a video) and the salchipollo is supposed to have a lot more chicken than that, very disappointed and dissatisfied.
A good Peruvian restaurant in Gatineau
I wouldnt recommend this place anymore. Not only the fact that the food was not good at all. It seemed to me that the dishes are kept for many days on the fridge and it is also bad for your health. I got disappointed of the last 3 times in the last and this year. The service and the quality of the food are really bad. Two of my experiences the famous Roasted Chicken had not being fully cooked and had hair on it so when we asked to be changed they just put it into the microwave or oven so even the hair came back!! Second time we asked for Papa a la huancaina and it was not good, the Salsa was old and it didnt have a good taste at all. Third time (one year later)again the Pollo a la Brasa had a funny smell which could be from being old or even expired who knows? but any cook would noticed right away before serving or cooking it into a restaurant!! Its really sad because when we talk about Peruvian food it comes to been known for its wonderful flavours and taste this restaurant doesnt represent it anymore and Im from Lima Peru.
Well located, with parking, excellent service, impeccable bathrooms and very good portions!!
Yummy!
Ceviche, Causa de mariscos and sweet potato not fresh. Like its been in the fridge for days. It was a sunday. Really not impress.
Very long wait times and food did not taste fresh.
Jorge is always making sure the food tastes amazing and the staff is really welcoming and friendly. The place to eat Peruvian food in Outaouais!
Very good and affordable price.
Very good Peruvian food
Great food, good and fast service.
I always order from here and I love this place. I always get the traditional ceviche and it does not disappoint. Love that the pieces of fish are huge. Will never go anywhere else for my ceviche.
I was pleased with the menu and the food looked and tasted good. I thought the prices were reasonable as well.
Delicious authentic Peruvian cuisine!!! Lomo saltado+inca kola= best lunch ever
Very good dishes. The tamal and empanadas are excellent and the service friendly.
Very nice environment.. the good is excellent.. tasty and good portions.. try the pisco ..
We LOVED our dishes. The chicken is delicious and the seafood ceviche too. Very affordable too.
Very cold service There was nobody to greet me too bad
Best food and best customer service I have experienced in a while. And great Pisco sours too!
Very good grilled chicken, fresh, golden, juicy and well cooked. Without excess seasonings. Their fries make the difference and their huacatay sauce with yellow chili is very delicious despite not having mayonnaise. Very digestible.
You eat very well and you can buy Peruvian products
We got the all you can eat special. The ceviche, causa and empanadas were worth it, but the lomo saltado did not seem saltado (sauteed), and it was not well seasoned. The pork saltado was better because the meat was tender, but it wasnt that good still. The pollo a la brasa was too salty and was not really like the peruvian pollo a la brasa. And we had to ask many times for the sauces for the pollo, they only gave us one made of huacatay that wasnt that good. If you eat a lot of ceviche it might be worth it, and the empanadas as well. But I couldnt eat ceviche due to health condition so it wasnt worth it for me. I was kinda dissapointed because I am used to really good lomo saltado at peruvian restaurants. I would give them abother chance but getting the regular dishes to have a fresh lomo saltado, it is probably better than the all you can eat one.
The all you can eat is a rip off, the lomo saltado meat is overcooked, super hard, tastes only cumin, needs more onions and has no flavour, it doesnt even have Aji amarillo... The ceviche is just hanging there, fish pieces are too big and overcooked, not enough onions either, needs more citric too. Pollo a la brasa was bland, dry, and was something else but not pollo a la brasa. The causa was there, drying in front of everyone. The huacatay sauce was disgusting, not creamy and just not good. Anyways, I feel like Ive been robbed, thats not Peruvian food taste at all. Only good thing was the empanadas, which tasted like home made, thats why I have 2 stars.
Great portions for a good price
You MUST go here if you like ceviche! The food was authentic, fresh and delicious!
Nice and cosy
Very good service and excellent food! Fresh, Testing etc. I would like to recommend it
We took a 45 min drive to go to our favorite restaurant. We arrived 5 min before our reservation. Restaurant was empty, only 2 people. We placed our orders and it took more than 1 hour to get our food. 4 other people walked in about 30 min after us and they got their food before us. Extremely disappointed. Rice was undercooked and the fries for the salchipapa were cold. Last time we will visit this restaurant.
