I got my order wrong when I asked for the right one I have been told that I ordered wrong beer which is impossible. Our foods were placed on the wrong table for a few minutes! One of the staff was supper rude and the service was absolutely unacceptable. When I talked to the service and told her about the few things that were wrong I have been told that I am banned from the restaurant. Is it because I am not French and I am a minority that they reacted this way? There are plenty of other restaurants. If they continue the service like that they will go out of business.

It s a must-see place in Outaouais. One of the rare places where culture and openness is present in a company in the region. The service is human and warm during all our visits. The cuisine is generous and very varied, even for vegetarians! They offer very good local products, both in the cuisine and in their beers. Whether its for a music show, a comedy evening or simply spending an evening with friends, everyone will find what theyre looking for. The employees make us feel at home and remain alert to your needs. Drifting is a pride of Gatineau! Thank you for existing! BEST pub in Outaouais by far! The employees are always extremely welcoming and always attentive to our needs. The beer is always good and the food is delicious. Its not complicated, its such the best place that we decided to get married there!!! We couldnt ask for better than to be surrounded by the À La Dérive team for our day!!!!

Superb place! Very nice view from the terrace, the interior is just as pleasant. There is a great diversity in cultural events, whether music, poetry, exhibitions of work, or humor. Large selection of quality beers, the food is good and the staff is pleasant. A must during our visits to Gatineau! Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu. Something for everyone! Parking: Large free parking lot behind within a very reasonable walking distance, there is always room.

All of us tipped but 1 who made a mistake on the machine, and the blond waitress aggressively asked why there was no tip, told her colleagues about us and pointed at us from behind the bar, and gave us dirty looks. Would have been great if we did not leave with such a negative feeling. The entitlement of receiving a tip for average to sub-par waitressing is through the roof here. Also, completely overpriced food.

Delicious beers! A raspberry sour and a sumac and peach gose, just Wow Magnificent view of the river, I felt like I was on vacation there

There is a nice large selection of beers. The terrace which offers a beautiful view of the river is the perfect place to relax with a good local beer. The service is however not very fast. On our last visit, the beer special was sold out (at 7pm) and they were not able to offer us an alternative for the same special. We were disappointed. Otherwise, great experience. The Cajun fries are excellent.

Positives: The river views are beautiful if you re on the patio, and if you re inside, the decor and vibe is very trendy and pleasing. The servers are all quite friendly. There s a wide variety of beer selection and the beers are tasty. Negative: The food. I won t go into detail but it s absolutely gross and overpriced. Eat at home and then go to À la dérive for drinks and a good time.

Great service, good beers, but food wise its disappointing 3 out of 3. Lack of salt and seasoning, very small portions for the price, seafood didnt necessarily seem fresh. I would go back for a beer on their beautiful terrace, but without eating.

The team is at the top. We always have a good time there.

Pogos were good, but expensive. The pulled pork sandwich was good but small. The fries however were horrendous. They were stale, firm and cold. Tasked like they had been left out for hours or maybe even reused from the day before. Also, I was never offered a refill on my beer which was generally pretty good, but by the time I had the chance to order again, we were ready to leave. There are many other, better restaurants along the river so we wont be coming back here.

Food is a little overpriced and some items are no better than others, normal for a micro lets say. Beers are not exactly to my tastes, but still very good. Its just the same price on site as if I bought it at the dep, so its a bit stupid for what costs less than a dollar to make and charge $8.50, but still the microphones at QC are even. Apart from the view on the terrace, nothing exceptional

A true gem just outside the island of Hull. Breathtaking view of the Ottawa River, terrace, incredible service and beer selections. It s a shame I wasn t in town long enough to enjoy the place at the back, but I brought back a lot of beers as souvenirs!

Good food, nothing out of the ordinary or exceptional. Really a place we go to taste their good beer. The service team is really friendly. The atmosphere is very normal but still a little extra you can have a four-legged and furry friend at the tables outside.

Food had no flavour . Ordered a salad but was served cut tomatoes and cheese with no dressing . There wasn t even any salt in it . To top it all they force you to pay for something that you never ate . Never seen this kind of rude staff in my life . I hadn t seen their reviews and made a mistake. Plz read other reviews as well and don t make a mistake to go to this restaurant.

Great vibe, and music playlist! It was a busy night, reservations recommended! Food was expensive but tasty, meal specials available mon-thurs. Tons of taps and to-go cans. If you can get a patio seat it would make for a lovely meal. Parking: Parking is in the lot behind the street

New experience! I loved it!

Chicken tasted like it was previous frozen. You an see how thin the chicken was by the red arrow I drew. The accompanying fries were also undersalted and werent crispy at all. Overall, skip the food, enjoy the beer!

Good restaurants

I really like the drifting experience! Each time, I am very well received, whether with 2 or several people. The platters are delicious, well laid out and the beer palettes are always very well chosen. Yes, I ask them to concoct a nice mixture according to my tastes and I always come out very satisfied!

I didnt like my meal! I had the worst natcho Ive ever eaten and Im not picky! It looked like there was canned tomato soup on it! Lack of condiments, corn chips too salty! Too expensive for the quality and quantity! And what about the very bad wine! I would like to believe that it is a brewery, but as long as you offer wine, offer good quality! Especially at this price of $60 per bottle! A convenience store wine is better than that! Sorry for the harsh comments, but it was my first experience at your establishment, not sure I will return! p.s my partner had fish and chips and he liked it!

I ordered a veggie burger here and was shocked to find a stone in it! When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they took it back to the kitchen without saying a word to me. Additionally, the fries didn t seem to be fresh. The lack of communication and the presence of a foreign object in my food, along with the subpar quality of the fries, was highly disappointing.

The dishes are revisited, take the time to read the composition of the dishes and ask questions about the menu. The food is very good, the drinks are excellent. The service was a little slow at dinner time and despite the few people in the dining room. The workers are super friendly and welcoming. Calm atmosphere, ideal for a discussion with friends.

La Dérive is a welcoming and charming brewpub with regional artistic flair. While it is not their brewery, it is a beautiful location that looks out onto the Ottawa and Gatineau rivers. The service is chaleureux, the beer is cold and the food is good. Who could ask for more?

The beer was delicious but the poutine was the worst Ive had in years. Fries were overcooked, sauce was cold, curds were not fresh. Great to enjoy the view of the river, but I would not eat here again. We will go for beer and eat somewhere else.

Next door, we had a group of customers who were really loud and shouting all the time. The cuisine is of average quality. The place is very beautiful, near the mouth of the Gatineau River which flows into the Ottawa River.

Very nice place to have a microbrewery beer. Very good beers in general. The food is good but quite expensive and the choice is quite limited.

The two stars are for the brewers, because the beer is generally tasty. The food and, especially, the service are emphatically sub-par, and the value for money is poor. You will practically have to fire up a flare to get your servers attention, and expect to spend ample time sitting in front of your empty glasses if you dont. That was definitely our experience, despite the staff standing around the counter chatting as often as they were on the floor assisting guests. Whatever the potential of the food may be on paper, it really doesnt matter given the poor execution. The kitchen has no governor as to what cooked is. My partners fries bordered on raw, while he ate his rather small $29 burger off a visibly charred bun. My other co-diner and I received a nacho plate that was so over-done I was immediately able to discard about 25% of the chips straight away due to their being obviously burnt, only to find the cheese had been so hideously over-baked that it had adopted an almost plaster-like solidity. All the chips would come up at once when you attempted to grab any, and they would often come with chunks of paper tray liner stuck to them because of how thoroughly burnt the whole thing was. No quality check done for 20 minutes, so we just got to sit there in front of a greasy, inedible mass waiting for someone to show any basic interest. When called to the managers attention, both he (and a random staffer) felt more impelled to argue than apologize. As an industry veteran the lack of professionalism was embarrassing. Needless to say we left to dine elsewhere, and wont be returning. If this place was ever good, it has gone off a cliff. Skip it.

Best brewery in Gatineau!

We spent a very pleasant evening in this ideally located brasserie after a walk along the river. We didnt try the dishes, only the beers which were excellent. We received good advice, our server was attentive and very friendly.

I loved this place. Especially the service. The waitress was so nice and friendly. She made me amazing mocktails and was very enthusiastic about doing her job. We had a chicken natcho, and it was one of the best I ever had. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place located on the edge of the Ottawa River. Beautiful outdoor terrace, but you should know that it is adjacent to the main street which is very busy at certain times, so you should not be surprised by the ambient noise. Knowing this, you can always go upstairs and enter the microbrewery. She is superb!!! ****The staff is super friendly and warm. The service is great! *** Great beer list. Again, there is something for everyone. As for the menu, it is varied and we were pleasantly surprised by the chefs platter It was generous and tasty! Had a great experience with friends eating here on a Friday evening on their Outdoor patio. Food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the fries! Large selection of beers on tap and very friendly atmosphere. Service was incredibly accommodating, fast and memorable. I definitely recommend this spot for a drink on the water, some food and a friendly environment!

What a location! We started out seated inside, but a raucous group arrived. We relocated to the patio with no fuss at all from the staff. Splendid beer, great food, and incredible views of the river.

I cant say enough good things about this brewpub. The beer selection is fantastic, and the food was good enough to bring us back for a second consecutive night. The setting is casual, comfortable, and right on the river/bike path. Order the brisket with truffle fries, and ask for a side of slaw with it. Wash it all down with a pint or two. They do a textbook porter (Feedel Weezel 8%), not syrupy, not maple/vanilla/brownie, and not insipid--its full of toasted peat, well balanced acidity, and notes of black coffee. Perhaps even better: the unfiltered pale ale (Hamac 5.5%) with a lovely hops bouquet, and nuanced flavors, but none of the bitterness of super-hopped ales. Wheelchair accessibility: The outdoor dining area is reasonably wheelchair friendly, but if you needed to go inside or use a bathroom... Forget it.

Very nice location with a good view. Sadly, everything about this restaurant was good except for the food, which was okay. The ciders were the best part of the meal, the waitress was helpful and kind. Unfortunately the vegetarian burger was dry and difficult to eat. And all in we spent almost $50 per person.

They had 16 of they brewed beers on tap available. Plenty 9f choices like lagers, IPA, stouts, gose, grisettes and funky mixes. The food was very good. Check for daily specials. On tuesdays a local folk music club jams on the second giving a great Quebecois ambiance. Parking: There is a park with plenty of shared parking with the local businesses. Wheelchair accessibility: The place did not look wheelchair accessible for inside dining. There is a ground floor terrace, otherwise there is a flight of stairs.
