I got the legumes today and The rice and macaroni salad were amazing but the legumes from there isn’t my favourite. The place is very clean and service is fast !
The food was really good definately my new favorite place, great friendly service and very clean
First visit yesterday and it was quite filling. I ordered a large grillot and it has fed me for two meals. Haitian food is different since we dont see that too often in Gatineau. The spices can surprise you, and what we think is mild coleslaw is quite spicy! As long as you know that, all will be fine. I prefer the grillot and the cabri (pork and goat) dishes. Just imagine a BBQ with spices from the carribean. I would recommend a nice fruit or mango juice to accompany the meal, as it will help reduce the heat of the spices for our poor fragile Quebec tastebuds!
Ordered the vegetable with white rice because as a vegetarian it was all I could order. It had large chunks of meat in it. Usually legume specifies if it has beef. Disappointed I paid so much money and couldn't even eat it. The pikliz also tastes like vinegar not pikliz, and not spicy. The plantain has no taste. I went to pick up this item and was turned off by constantly hearing microwaves opening and shutting. Don't know what that's about. Wouldn’t recommend if you want good authentic Haitian food.
Great Haitian food with authentic menu items. This is there second location, the other in Ontario is the original and also very good. The menu is very diverse with tons of major staples and a great introduction to Haitian cuisine if you haven’t tried it. The Tasso (fried goat), gryo (fried pork) and djon djon rice (black trumpet like mushroom black rice). The fried plantains and Pikliz are also a great side item and condiments. I noticed they also delivery via Ubers eats and some other platforms as well as larger catering orders. It’s worth every bite, the prices and portion sizes are really reasonable.
The staff members were very friendly and helped us with everything. Thank you, team! :-) The interior is simple and not big. I'd say the whole place is very Caribbean in its atmosphere - we felt being on the islands again. The food was tasty, satisfying and very interesting. Be sure to check your level of spices before ordering - the team was very helpful with that and explained us all details. The place is nothing fancy, but we really recommend it for the authentic cuisine and the true felling of the islands.
This place is home, although I'm not Hatian. It hits home. Great friendly service, honest recommendations, fair prices, fair size portions. The restaurant is super clean inside, clean washrooms, very open welcoming atmosphere. Absolutely loved it.
I tried the chicken meal and it was delicious! My husband grew up in this neighborhood and said the food was 10/10, which he doesn't say often. You can eat inside or bring it home. The place was clean and bright and the staff were super friendly! It was my first time trying Haitian cuisine and it was similar to African and caribbean food but different and unique. Now we want to try all their dishes! They have chicken, beef, pork, goat, turkey, fish, and even vegetarian and vegan options and so much more! The portions are generous and they have lots of sides and appetizers to choose from and they offered homemade lemonade and passionfruit juice which I'll hopefully get to try next time. A++, would HIGHLY recommend!
Excellent Haitian restaurant. Very tasty and generous. Very good service.
Good food
They should have soup available every day
Best joumou soup
The food was wonderful, I missed Haitian food. The meal was warm, it reminded me of home. I REALLY recommend
Very good! Parking: Plenty of parking
Foods are excellent. Le fritay is my favorite.
Wow, what a great discovery for me. Having tried several Creole restaurants in our region I must mention that it is by far the best Haitian restaurant in the area. Everything is fresh, the rice is tasty, everything was perfect. Thank you and without hesitation I will see you soon
Excellent service/professionel.
Manger Bien is one of the best restaurants for a Haitian meal. There are many Haitian restaurants in Ottawa/Gatineau but personally eating well is in my top 3, the food is delicious. I took a large griot with rice, macaroni salad, plantain and extra accras because they are delicious. I recommend tasting it, its adopting it Parking: Plenty of parking
My favorite restaurant in Gatineau
Best Creole food in town! You can of course take away, but eating the bananas weighed on site while they are hot and crispy is not beatable!
The food is delicious, can t get better anywhere else, very nice staff, customer service on top
Se koupe dwèt our Haitian way that the food is excellent!
The food is excellent and the customer service is great. Eating well is dwet!!

Best restaurant ever in Canada, amazing food, customer service great, i went there once and im coming back for sure, thank you guys for your service
I have been to both locations of Bien Manger Restaurant. I can say that it is by far the best Haitian restaurant in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. They serve generous portions and the food is very tasty. Also, the staff is very professional and courteous. Thank you for bringing the real taste of Haiti here.
I ordered a kabrit(goat) dish at this restaurant today and it was so good. The meat was tasty tender and marinated well. The well-cooked djonjon rice gives you the good taste of this mushroom which is delicious when well prepared. And the macaroni salad not to be missed. I definitely recommend this restaurant because the name says it all if you really want to eat well there and in the place. PititKay
Super good restaurant
Good bagay
I highly recommend you to visit this place
Delicious and always well represented
Excellent food and unparalleled welcome! Well done! Im going back!
Always delicious! Always delicious!
Perfect food friendly service
The freshness leaves something to be desired (pasta, meat and pikliz), the plantains and rice were good but I expect it to be fresh when ordering at the restaurant, especially on Friday evening. I also got a 20% surcharge after calling the restaurant for delivery. If you do business with Skip the dish for your deliveries, it would be good to warn the customer who is making an effort to order from the restaurant directly.
I have been going to Bien manger for 3 years now. Food is always good, fast communication and service. Usually when i go to an Haitian restaurant i wait for 1hr even when placing order ahead. But bien manger never disappointed me and my family. I Highly recommend this place ! This is a delice for the palates Parking: You will find parking
Delicious food and great service

Best haitian food in Gatineau
The service is fast. The staff is courteous. The kitchen is nice. Parking: Parking is large and free
I cant wait to eat your Haitian food I have been told a lot of good things about your restaurant.....
The chicken and the griots were not seasoned. dion dion vegetables and rice didnt taste much. I had to order food from another place.
the best restaurant for take away and otherwise, the food is good and the staff is very welcoming and kind
If I could I wouldnt even give one star... the meat not marinated, the plantains not ripe or good...! Too bad I was expecting good food.
Best Haitian food in Ottawa/Gatineau area. Sometimes they have pate kode and every Sunday they have soup joumou. I ve also gotten food plates and it never disappoints
So tasty and very generous in portion
