1115 Rue Saint-Louis, Gatineau, QC J8T 2R8, Canada
They screwed up my order. mistakes happen. The food was boringly bland. They cut their costs by not giving much meat. The restaurant looked very nice inside and the staff were friendly. If you want quality takeout, go to Ding-Ho, the food there is awesome but the restaurant itself is not so inviting to eat in.
Very authentic flavour with proper Szechuan pepper, spicy chicken 辣子鸡丁 was kinda amazing, friendly server, well priced!
Not a good impression on my first time ordering… rice and general tao was overcooked with a burnt taste and the chicken in the rice tasted old. Only thing that was good was the egg roll and the wonton soup..
I like it so much ☺️ the food and service are very good. The waitress and the waiter Gullaume are nice and polite.
Pretty nice Chinese cuisine! Staff were super friendly and politely. We had a great time dining here.
We traveled from Ottawa here in hope trying some authentic Sichuan food. We were not disappointed. The food was good as well as the service. I am really happy to see that there are still chefs who are passionate about introducing authentic Sichuan food to everyone. Some notes for the owner: I did find the food way too oily though. I am no stranger to Sichuan food, by the very contrast, I grew up eating Chengdu food. But even for me the oil in every dish we ordered can suffocated me. I didn’t feel well after finishing the meal. I walked in the neighbourhood trying to digest the heaviness in my stomach right after the meal, but I felt that I needed at least 2 hours of workout to get fully “recovered”. Other than that, as a person who always prefers food with less salt, I surprisingly found my dishes were lack of salt. I am not sure if it was just for that day or it has always been like that. The waitress served us with salt right after we asked, it is just a tiny detail that a chef might pay more attention to though. And I think the cucumbers in our dish Suanni Bairou would taste much yummy if they were buried underneath the meat. Last but not least, compared with Sichuan restaurants in Ottawa, it’s much pricey. We ordered two dishes and it cost us nearly 70 bucks, which almost doubled what we paid in other Sichuan restaurants in Ottawa. We feel it’s still worth it. Just a note here for others who are curious about the cost. In general, it’s a quite a good experience for us. We didn’t drive 40 mins here for nothing. I am told the chef is a Cantonese, and he did a decent job cooking Sichuan food. I also hope there can be more options, at least including some really classical Sichuan dishes like salad chicken and Fuqi Feipian, which are both missing from the menu. How could that be possible?!?!
We tried La Maison Szechuan since my usually spot is now closed on Mondays. • The food was good (okay) but nothing to rave about. The egg rolls were tasty but offered very little filling which was disappointing. The chicken fried rice was bland while the orange beef had a fishy taste/smell to it and was very dry (not enough sauce). • I have yet to find a « fully satisfactory » Chinese restaurant in the Gatineau area but my regular spot is definitely superior to this one.
Updated in 2023: Still amazing as ever. The server is TOP NOTCH. Everyone was so sweet. The food was authentic and amazing. If you buy three bowls of rice, you get free rice refills. Best service with amazing food. I didn't even mind if the food was a little pricey.
I received an order where the food was really poor quality (all 3 dishes). I called and they referred me to Uber. It took me an hour to finally speak to someone at Uber without success. The restaurant did not want to reimburse me. Neither does Uber. I still have the full order rotting in my fridge. $63 for water and wasted hours. The problem is still not resolved.
The restaurant has an English menu and a Chinese menu, but the prices on the two menus are different. The English and French menus are obviously cheaper than the prices on the Chinese menu. What about you guys? Chinese people are easy to deceive, are they all taken advantage of?
Super good, fast service and excellent food
Great restaurant. I recommend hunan dumplings (they re not as spicy as a few years back) and sesame beef. They re amazing dishes Parking: Really small parking, lot of space available in the street from a reasonable walking distance
We had: spring roll, wonton soup, Singapore noodles, Szechuan shrimp and chicken fried rice. Everything was bad. Wonton soup that tastes nothing, shrimp with super bland sauce, fried rice to which you have to add soy sauce for it to taste and that didnt help much, the Singapore noodles were so seasoned that it It was powdery. The best part of the meal was the spring rolls which are bought frozen so nothing fancy. There are much better Chinese restaurants in town.
The spicy General Tao chicken was excellent! Same mmm
Yum excellent! Beautiful portions, I love it!
Ordered Take out - took 1hour and 20 minutes to get my order delivered - no chicken ball sauce - no spare rib sauce - everything was cold - horrible horrible - first time and last time ordering from there !
Was a very delicious experience, they have 3 menus, one may say, too many. One is the typical Westernize Chinese with Sechuan influences. A Second is a more authentic menu all in Chinese. All you can eat menu is a more limited selection of the westernized Chinese menu of smaller plates in an all you can eat format. 3 to 4 dishes will usually satisfy me and an other but appetites vary, start small and reorder. Everything was very tasty and freshly made, the lemon chicken surprised me, I often see that its one dish with many diffrent sauces but not here. One chicken dish is dark meat while an other might be white, General Toa chicken might be cubes and lemon chicken more matchstick, this added to the crispiness and was not too sweet if that makes sense considering. The service was on point and bilingual English/French on arrival but also Mandarin as soon as we showed any sense of fluency. We really enjoyed our experience and instead of ordering, might drive down next time. The price was about the same with a larger choice of dishes.
Ordered through Uber. Extremely basic Chinese food. 2 stars if you re comparing to Ottawa Chinese food and 3 stars for Gatineau . Chicken balls half the size they usually are. almond guy ding 2 pieces of chicken and no sauce and lastly the fried rice was not fried very basic.
It s very delicious
Me and my family went out to eat this evening and it was delicious!! I loved the dishes, everything was good and hot, the servers and owner were very, very welcoming. The vegetables were fresh, go for it, you wont regret it!
Food is amazing and the service is awesome!!
The service is very good and attentive, and the food is delicious, spicy and fragrant! The portion is also very generous!
Great service! Peanut Butter Chicken and Sezchuan Shrimp
Very good and fast service
The service is amazing the food is great and it always hits the spot 10 out of 10 recommend
If youre ordering food from here and expect food under the veggies category to be vegetarian or vegan, dont. Everything is covered in ground meat. No labeling at all. When ordering a vegetable category dish, people typically expect a vegetable dish, not a meat dish containing vegetables.
The food was really good! We ordered tofu, spicy chicken and fried rice. The flavors are very authentic and I would highly recommend people coming here.
Super good dinner, very nice waiters
Great restaurant and food.
The most authentic Sichuan cuisine in Ottawa-Gatineau now
Great service and very good food, I recommend!
Sichuan cuisine tastes authentic and is suitable for those who love spicy food
Excellent service
The service is very good and the food is delicious I will come again next time!
I recommend very good. Good service.
Super good restaurant and very good service
Ive been coming to eat here for years, its always a success.
Really delicious. The quality of the food and the service worthy of mention. By far my favorite Asian restaurant.
Great service and we ate well like at home! Thank you so much!
La Maison Szechuan is our go out restaurant if we ever craving for a good Chinese meal.
Very good service and very good food.
Amazing spicy food and very friendly service, strongly recommend if you like Sichuan food! Food here is fresh and juicy!! Parking: Easy parking
Succulent dishes to share and very good service.
great stay and service
Excellent service as always. Welcoming and helpful staff. We are regular customers and always will be
Wow
It s very good and the servers are super nice!!!
Very delicious! The Szechuan dishes are very authentic!
Did not disappoint! Quite authentic!
Always good when I come here.
Super good service and super good
Excellent, good service and very dedicated server!!!
Was good Thank you Parking: Good
The woman who works with the glasses is rude. I called my delivery man on the phone who had been waiting for 20 minutes for my order and I heard the woman tell him to go and stay next to the front door even though he had been in the restaurant for a long time. Never order from this restaurant with the Uber app. Respect your customers first and especially the delivery people.
Excellent service even if it was full And everyone was noisy and wanted to be served at the same time for Saturday evening 02-03 2024
love it great place to eat and to chill with your family Food
We have eaten several times at this place. Always had good service and the dishes are very good!
Sichuan cuisine is very authentic, with spicy, fragrant and numb flavors.
The service is really attentive! Sichuan food is not particularly spicy
Excellent service and delicious food.
Great selection for authentic Szechuan cuisine! If you like spicy food you should give it a try.
We love this restaurant and the all-you-can-eat menu served at the tables! And the service is impeccable! THANKS! Parking: Small parking lot on the property (about ten spaces) but plenty of street parking available
Great, thank you
Very pleasant restaurant, great discovery and great concept, we will come back for sure
The menu (pictures) looks amazing. The greeting and service also amazing. Issue is with the composition and taste of the food. Lots of breading, but as the old Burger King ad use to sorta say: « Where s the meat? ». No protein. Or waayy to little of it. Couldn t see any actual chicken or beef in our bites. And the sesame beef, taste exactly like the general tao chicken, which taste similar to pork. The rolls (both spring and egg rolls) tasted 95% fried breading and 5% filling. The price for an all-u-can eat is fair. If the proteins were more present. Small adjustments from the kitchen would make this a very hot Szechuan spot. Too few in Gatineau.
Ordered through uber eats. I had egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken ball, almond guy ding & chicken fried rice. and a egg and mushroom soup. The guy ding was the smallest portion I have ever seen. I had ni sweet & sour sauce for the chicken ball. The rice was mushy and the soup tasted like burnt. So disappointing usually there food us good.
The place is ok otherwise. But the food sucks. If you want Chinese food? This is not the place.
The service is very long
We were 6 adults for dinner on a Wednesday evening that was not at all busy. 3 tables occupied including ours. A table of 3 adults and a table of 5 (Asian mid-twenties arrived 30 minutes after us). After an hour of waiting we ate soup, a spring roll and a plate of fried spinach. The table of 5 multiplied the dishes served and it continued. I ask the waiter whats going on with our dishes. And I quote his exact words the owner is Asian and he always serves Asians first, that s how I m sorry . We ask to speak to the owner and he tells us that its not really true and that the chef has just started our plates .after an hour?!? Its a buffet... If thats not racism, ask yourself why your restaurant is empty. So keep serving your Asian friends, were going to encourage you elsewhere! The waiters attitude was also very arrogant! Sorry we left without paying. Bad service.
Authentic Szechuan cuisine in reasonable amount and price. Popular among the local Western and Asian people. And also a good choice for tourists. French English and Chinese service is available.
Nice all you can eat menu
Every time I order here my order is messed up really ruins the whole meal when you spend 50-60$ just makes you never want to order again, which I won t. If you call to let them know for next time it is your fault not theirs 0stars
Super good meal and affordable
Just finished a wonderful, delicious dinner there. 5*++++, customer service is TOP, really nice young lad greeted us, then came a really nice lady to take our order, she explained how that works. There wasnt a dish to complaint about, they were all good. I ordered a singapore noodles separately to go. We will definitely go back there more often. THANK YOU!!!!!
Tipping is compulsory. If the waiter doesnt give enough, the waiter will stop you? Next time something like this happens, call the police.
Our delivery order got switched on uber eats, the restaurant handled the situation well and we got our food quickly. Food itself was pretty good and had a nice variety.
The most delicious spicy chicken I have ever eaten in my life!
I like going to this Sichuan restaurant, pretty authentic and delicious!
Very delicious authentic Sichuan food. Went there twice in a row. The service is also very good.
We went and didnt like the food. The fried beef tasted like shrimp probably because of old oil. The sauces were too salty. The weird texture probably due to too much corn starch. The fried rice lacked seasoning and had a funny texture. But the service was fast and the server friendly. We will not return there because we did not finish our plates.
Excellent service! However, the dishes were rather basic and lacked taste. General Tao tasted like cinnamon, the fried rice was bland, the orange beef tasted extremely fried (old oil). The Szechuan pork was okay. The hunan fritters are Good.
Excellent
It was good, but be careful how you order! If you dont know how this buffet-style restaurant works, please ask your server. We were a group of 12 adults and were brought over 30 plates! They doubled all our orders even though we said we know its usually one portion per table, but since we were a large group, we put numbers of what we wanted. So, of course, we had a bunch of food leftovers and were charged for it. 2$/person or 20$ for the table. Its really not much, but! We couldve avoided it. I have to say though, our glasses were always full, they came to top our water every 15 ish minutes or less! The ambiance is fun as well. I recommend it, but maybe not for large groups.
Ordered food last night via skip as Im visiting Ottawa on work. 2 soups which were just like flavored water + lo mein + szechuan shrimp. Food was very bland, tasteless and pretty bad. The soup was unflavored stock with some meat in it (not pho). The shrimp were sautéed with lots peppers and onions barely any shrimp and lacked flavor and taste. Was meant to be spicy but rather sweet and extremely watery. The entire meal was disappointing and regret ordering from here. Most restaurants close by 9pm so not many options were left. Very bland and tasless Food , tasted like food you get in the hospital, be cautious.
Have you changed the chef? The taste is very average.
Place VIP
Very good meal
Worst asian food ever of my life. Overall prices for the food .
This is some great and authentic Chinese food. Lots of great (and spicy) Szechuan dishes. Service was excellent.
We ordered from here last night, the service was super quick, the food was so hot is was steaming! For people who order take out, this never happens. The Singapore noodles were so good! I m already excited to eat leftovers, because the portions are huge! I ll be eating Singapore noodles for days! My spouse ordered plate number 3. She did find the chicken fried rice was really bad. It was mushy, no green onions. I got the wonton soup and the broth lacked depth. The wonton filling lacked seasoning. But honestly, I would order again. I probably wouldn t get the fried rice or soup again, but I could eat those noodles everyday, and likely will be due to the huge portion and I m not mad about it.
Let s talk about the advantages first: the two waitresses have good attitudes and refill the water in a timely manner. The Western waitress will take the initiative to ask the children what tableware they like to use, which is very user-friendly. The restroom is quite clean. Cons: This was the worst Chinese meal I had during my travels. I originally went there after reading the reviews, but my heart dropped when I saw the menu when I walked in. Although it is divided into two menus, traditional and improved, the traditional menu has very limited choices and is expensive. The most annoying thing is the Chinese part on the menu. . . You cant comment on the small portion of my food, its because you ordered too little, and so on. What does this want to express? How would you feel if you were a consumer and saw this passage when you walked in? Do you think this store has personality? Do you think this tone is a warm reminder? Do you think it s because there were bad reviews about small portions in the past and I want to shut you up first? Or don t come here if you can t eat or order more dishes? At that time, I really wanted to leave immediately after reading it, but after reading the reviews, I drove all the way from Ottawa, so I held my breath and waited. Dont worry about the small amount of food, you still have to order one dish for the number of people. There are six adults and four children here, and there are only a little more than ten dishes on the menu. I have to order some. This is the only way. Order every dish, or two portions of one dish? When the tableware was served, it was terrible. Several people had dirty things on their tableware. This was the first time we had to wipe the plates, bowls, and spoons with wet paper towels when we ate in Canada. I can only hope that the taste will be better, but I am still disappointed. The hot and sour soup has a fishy smell, only spicy but not sour. The Maoxuewang is neither fragrant nor salty enough. The other five or six dishes are non-committal, and the only one is the spicy chicken. Its okay, but it doesnt cost much and the portion is small. Moreover, spicy chicken and spicy chicken are two different dishes. On the menu, there is spicy chicken, and what is served is fried spicy chicken. All in all, this was the most disappointing stop of my trip. If you are like me and drive there specifically, there is no need! Parking: There is free parking next to it
Avoid spring rolls, theyre disgusting. As I told my family, it tastes and smells like a farm. The rest of the food here either tastes like nothing, not much or is too salty and Im not a picky eater but its hard to want to eat here.
Ordered take out delivered. No sauce for chicken balls. Barely any chicken in the chicken balls. Flavourless fried rice. General Tao had barely any sauce and no veg. Not even an onion. Egg rolls were passable. Do not recommend.
Good
The service was terrible, and the food was not good enough. And if you gave 10% tips, the waiter/waitress will ask you why loudly. If you wanna try the service like that, please don t miss this restaurant.
Food and especially the table service was impeccable. Management left much to be desired. Major complaint concerns the senior discount age restriction applicable to seniors 65 years and older not posted. First time I have ever witnessed anyone 60 years old who was required to provide proof of age for a trivial $2.00 discount. Management delegated the embarrassing task to the little waitress. A small take-out order was improperly filled and the kitchen was advised they were not prepared to refill a small order request. There are an abundance of eateries in the Ottawa/Hull/Gatineau area. If this is how this restaurant values their customers, they will be losing more than us two.
Will revisit for sure
Called to place a pickup order. Employee who answered the phone was very friendly and food ordered was fresh and really good! First time ordering here, will definitely come back.
Disappointing. ..lemon chicken, chicken strips coated in soft dough without lemon taste. Cantonese chow mein, filled with oil. As for rice, its not even worth talking about. Revise your recipes, dear restaurateurs, you are not doing justice to Szechuan gastronomy. This is a big no for this restaurant.
The dishes and service are all just so so
Food is stored not sealed in freezer, so alot of the food is frost bitten , kitchen had dirt and scum everywhere also smoking in the kitchen is permitted so all plates are lathered in cigarette smoke Horrible owner, allows staff to be bullied then holds their pay on them, not the first time either very sad to hear, i can say michelle is an amazing waitress the other one will ask you to tip more pretty bizarre after already tipping.. very unprofessional owner
be careful of dirty plates they make it clean to the eye by using napkin to clean off what can be seen to the naked eye, employees are left to work sick serving food not too clean
I went to go pick up my oder and I did not feel welcome there and I find it really weird
You guys need to cut down on the sugar the food is way too sweet.
tasteless , vinegery general tao and expensive for the quantity. But very good service the women was very kind
Fantastic! Always good, always fresh, especially the Hunan donuts
I love all you can eat! :)
Very good service. We had a nice time
Authentic Chinese food!
Its delicious and the world its kind
Amazing experience and the food is so good!
My favorite Chinese restaurant. Usually get take out from them. Fast, delicious, big portions and they add free rice for orders above a certain amount. The sesame beef is FANTASTIC. The egg roles are usually good but the last couple of times, they seemed a bit too thick, as if the mixture has changed? Overall, highly recommend. The staff always seem happy and friendly.
This Chinese restaurant is terrible. I ordered Sichuan stir-fried pork. When I ate it, I felt that the meat was stale and my stomach hurt after eating it. The pork belly is not used at all. In order to save money, fat pork is used. The menu for Chinese people, each dish is at least 16.99 dollars, specifically to rip off the money of Chinese compatriots. I specifically asked for the English menu, and it usually only costs 12.99 for an order. Anyway, I feel so sick after eating. This is the most unhappy meal I have ever had since I immigrated to Canada more than 20 years ago! The worst Chinese restaurant I have ever encountered. In short, never come again. The worst Chinese restaurant I ever met in Canada in the past 20 years. The pork is not fresh. I got pain soon after finish the eating. They use two version meau. The price is much higher than other Chinese restaurant. No less that $16.99 per dish. Very very high.
Very good food, first time with a service of this kind, make a choice on the type of plate and we bring it to you for all. Impeccable service!!!
After waiting for an hour and a half, I couldnt even get a piece of fried rice. I was wasting my time. Really bad luck with this restaurant. I really want to scold the country
Very uncomfortable service during this visit. Wait for one and half hours and when we asked the waitress if the food still not prepared, we want to cancel the order and she told us, the food already in process. So we wait for another half an hour. And another waitress came and told us we still need to wait more time. It is really ridiculous service. I would never recommend such restaurant. Poor service. Two hours nothing.
Perfect welcome, impeccable service. We loved the dishes chosen...the chicken with spinach...yummi ..we will come back.
Always excellent service for take-out. Hunan donuts are my favorite!!
Great food but way too expensive. They tell you to come pick it up and you save 15% but then when you go pick it up they add 15% on the debit machine as tip.. so really they save on delivery, you still pay a fortune. They should definitely lower their prices.
The meal plan is original and it is best to go with 4 or more, so you can taste several dishes. Impeccable and attentive service despite some small language problems.
Do not order from here. It may have been good in the past. Totally inedible.
Overall, not very good. The prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly, however, the food just isn t great. While the chow mein and general tao chicken were OK, but the hot and sour soup was greasy and bland. The orange beef, and schzewan beef were both chewy, bland and tasted mostly of flour with a hint of fish. They also wouldn t customize a basic dish for my mom. 2 stars is generous.
Better Chinese Sichuan food, very considerate Chinese menu
Very disappointed. First time trying them. Bought Szechuan shrimp (ver little shrimps but they were well cooked), wonton (very bland/no taste), General Tao chicken (it was fair but small portion) and fried rice (this was the very bad part. It was basically white rice with bery little soya. Vegetables and chicken EXTREMELY scarce.. Almost none. In two scoops, I didnt have one piece of chicken in it). Spring rolls were so bland. For the price, I will keep going to competitors nearby
No photos sorry. But I loved this place. Great service and excellent food. I already went back for takeout 1 week later. I recommend you.
Perfect service, excellent food and affordable price, I recommend it
There is no one of the best Sichuan restaurants in the Ottawa and Gardino areas, but sometimes you may encounter the chef taking a break while the second chef cooks, and the dishes will be inferior, but otherwise there are no shortcomings. Parking: Parking lot is ample
Perfect spot for Chinese food!! For authentic food, you shouldnt order all you can eat. Food here tastes like home. Best spot in Gatineau. A perfect place for Chinese food! For authentic food, you shouldnt order all you can eat. The food here gives a home-cooked taste. The best place in Gatineau.
Highly recommended place , great staff , food was hot and delicious . Highly recommend this place when you re in the area ! Pepper stake Beef and the spare ribs are a MUST !!
Hello everyone..... I and my wife ate in this restaurant....its mediocre food...no quality in the beef or the chicken as well as the pork...I would say that even the vegetables are not tasty.... very salty and a lot of sauce in everything...there is no quality in this restaurant and I will never go back there....BS food.. THANKS Fridg
It was my first time at La maison Szechuan but it definitely wont be my last! The restaurant is very beautiful and well decorated. The welcome is super warm. Once seated after ordering (the dishes are to share) we receive the starters; then after finishing, they change the plates and bring the main dishes. Everything is delicious! As the dishes are made according to the order you make, everything arrives hot and fresh. I recommend!
Good service
Excellent. Super good service and super delicious food.
Great very good excellent service
Excellent food the ingredients are fresh and the service is very good excellent
Good food, many authentic chinese dishes.
I loved it. The menu was great. I had already been there 6 or 7 years ago. Also delicious. Good welcome and good service.
The Szechuan food there is pretty authentic and the service is great. The decorations make it just like one of those restaurants back in China!
For the buffet on site, always satisfied!!! Good portion, hot, fresh, tasty and great service!!! Not recommended for delivery though...
If you can eat something spicy, this Chinese restaurant is a great choice. The food tastes good, the service is very good, and there is ample parking space.
Very good Szechuan.. waitresses are very nice...
Delicious, authentic Sichuan food with really fast service!
Excellent food and service
My favorite restaurant!! The food is really good. We chose what we wanted on a card and everything arrived quickly and hot! Food a little spicy, its great. The service is good. I highly recommend
Like the services and foods
Tipping is compulsory. This is the first time I have seen it.
Great food experience. Very good and very kind staff
Very good with excellent service
Excellent great service wow really good Food.
One of the best Chinese joints around the Gatineau area, easy recommendation!
Some of the best Chinese food Ive had and you can order seconds and thirds.
Good
The Beef chop suey was 95% bean sprouts, the wonton soup was not seasoned and tasted like noodle water, the seafood soup was imitation crab and tofu... and they put chili flakes in the Sweet and Sour pork. It was honestly super disappointing and I will not be ordering from here again
Love the foodz you get a chance to try some authentic Chinese food or Canadian Chinese food. Service is excellent
Got sick. Small portion even though we were 3 and we aked for more than one serving per plate.
Our favorite restaurant. All there dishes are good. You will not be disappointed.
Really enjoyed eating here with our group. We ordered a few dishes to share. All of the the dishes were really great. Very hot coming out of the kitchen and fresh. The spring rolls and egg rolls were also great.
I had a wonton soup $7 2 scoops in the rest of the broth I also ordered a combo, the entire package was broken.
Gross
Loved this place! Food is great, plates are ok, recommend
We ordered on Mothers Day. Despite the constant occupation, the food was like a restaurant. THANKS.
My favorite restaurant. I go there regularly, always fresh and tasty, smiling staff, affordable prices, good diversity
Too much MSG and it just taste bad..
By far the best restaurant of its kind. The table dhôte formula offers an all you can eat option which allows you to share the different and excellent dishes offered on the menu. The quality of the dishes is impeccable and the prices are very low. I will definitely go back.
Excellent choice
Tasty food and excellent service!
Excellent
Fast and courteous take-out service. The food was good except the fried rice. Fried spinach is simply addictive...
I ate very well :)
Safe against covid 19. Increased social distancing. Excellent meal Impeccable service
Very good service, very nice employees and very good meal thank you
Great service, great food. For my first experience, pleasantly surprised!
We order buffet . Not even a single Item is good
very disappointed - the chicken balls were mostly dough, little chicken and hard, the spicy beef was very chewy (think beef jerky!), the chicken fried rice was tasteless, the chop suey just ok. The portions were small and the dishes were overpriced. Even the fortune cookies were stale. Doubt we will return.
I recommend getting the non-buffet menu. The items on it will be much more authentic and spicy. As well, its a smaller and better curated menu. All the dishes I had from this menu were delectable. I especially recommend the huiguorou which melts in your mouth and pairs perfectly with the fried rice. But all of the food would not be out of place served in Sichuan.
Excellent
The hotel recommended this restaurant to me. I dont know if its because its a Tuesday, but the wonton soup, the broth only tasted like water, no flavor. The shrimp tasted like water, probably too long in boiling water. Sesame beef and orange beef, it looked more like the sole of a boot...extremely tough meat. I came, I tried it, but I wont come back...
Very good place to eat in a large group!
If only i could give it 6 stars. Such a friendly staff and food is on point. Highly recommended
