It has been described as the best poutine in the region and I think it proves true. It seems to be a super traditional place. For me, only the bathroom left a little to be desired.

Delivery via DoorDash missing an important item from a potato stand. And yes, the fries were missing. Still managed to forget the fries on an order of 4 items. The bad news is, you have to call DoorDash to get the overpaid money back and the missing item is still missing. The restaurant does not suggest anything to correct their mistake. Disappointing

So dont get me started on this place. Me and my wife went there to try somewhere new. Shouldve just went somewhere else. The service was a great spectacle of foolery. The food was messed up the worst part it was hot dogs and poutine its not like we asked for anything complicated and low and behold it was messed up and couldnt be replaced. Or even offered something else or a refund. They just instead laughed and asked if I couldnt just eat it anyways. The entire place wasnt clean from looking into the kitchen to just the waiting side/dining side. Garbage all over. Fry bins sitting under a heat lamp which is just beyond me. Ill never return and Ill never recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service from people who shouldnt work in the service industry. Personally I wouldve fired all 3 for the way they acted towards a customer. Never got to even eat my food because it was messed up that bad. An its not like their menu is complicated. Just bad all the way around. An I will make sure to tell everyone i personally know to turn business to ones that deserve it.

As a poutine lover I was excited to try this famous place. The poutine sauce itself was very good and had a depth but unfortunately the fries were not cooked enough to my liking which downgraded my experience. Me and my partner both took burgers and they were soooo salty that neither of us could finish them. Also the pogos we took were clearly left too long in the fryer. Also we had some concerns because the person serving us at the cash was also handling food and we did not see her clean her hands in between tasks. I think we will stick to out neighborhood shack.

Little disappointing, I came from Ottawa to have their famous poutine. The fries were not hot or crispy. Moreover, the potatoes used for poutine were sweet. Gravy was good but it was not enough for the portion. Overall it was just ok.

Several years ago this place used to be superb tastewise. Today it wasn`t the case: The poutine wasn`t tasty at all and there wasn`t enough sauce. Burger was just Ok. It lacked lettuce, onions etc you would expect with an all dress. Pop was flat.

I had the classic poutine in family size. Aww yeah so nice to live not too far from La Pataterie Hulloise. My favourite poutine Ive ever had. Loaded with cheese curd and gravy just the right ammount. Obviously it was huge and no adult can finish these unless youre American of course.

I dont even know where to start. We wanted to bring in. The restaurants website doesnt mention anything about delivery, or its well hidden. I go to the restaurant by car. Great parking. I go in and place my order. GOOD. While waiting for my food, I see two Skip delivery men passing by... Why isnt it clearly indicated on the site that you can order from Skip??? Anyway. This is the best poutine spot in Gatineau/Ottawa region honestly I tried so much but this place has it right. Great vibes inside and good portions with good prices. Large is 9.20$ then family size is 17.30$. Which are MASSIVE. Definitely recommend for poutine will try their other food some other time.

Terribly long service, 20min to order and receive order of 2 poutine only. However, there werent a lot of customers. One of the employees cut tomatoes, blanched the potatoes in the sink filled with water, handled the frying baskets and handled raw meat (beef meatballs) without EVER washing their hands or wearing any gloves. In addition, the other employees were laughing and taking their time while the line up began to do so. She even took the opportunity to use her phone at the same time as making the burgers. The poutine in the end was just passable. Very little sauce and if you ask to be generous they charge you almost $4 extra... in short, AVOID especially for the meat. MAPAC should go there.

Personally thought the poutine was quite average, but the gravy is definitely way too sweet in my opinion. I do very strongly prefer savoury poutine, though. I also wasn t a fan of how the smoked meat went with the poutine as well, quite honestly. The cheese was great though. I personally probably won t come back, but I think it has its appeal for those who like sweeter poutine. Service was incredibly slow despite having 5 people working in the kitchen; they are obviously very overwhelmed with Uber eats and everything.

Thats what it was, cold precooked fries, I asked for just a little sauce in my poutine it was definitely a soup, I ordered a burger with only a little ketchup mayo mustard I got I made sure to tell him just a little, he served me an inedible burger with enough sauce to top 3 regularly. It was my favorite snack and the best poutine in the world in my wifes eyes and the biggest family poutine of all time, but its been 3 times in a row that we are disappointed and for me the employees are afraid to put sauce. It was never a problem before but now when you have a family poutine you only put a ladle and a half of sauce on top of 5 scoops of potatoes!! No more 2 layers of potato, cheese and sauce. You arrive home and the fries absorb the sauce and you end up with a big fries with dry cheese. Sorry but were going to stop going there since this has happened several times.

From time to time we go to this place for a hot dog and poutine. During our last two visits, we noticed a real lack of quality. Hot dogs come with too much coleslaw and an excessive amount of mustard that turns a steamed hot dog into a disgusting mustard roll. Your items are then put in a bag and the resulting order is a complete mess and virtually inedible. For 20-30 dollars we will go elsewhere.

During my trip to Ottawa/Gatineau back in October, I had La Pataterie Hulloise on my list for the longest time! And I am glad I waited for it! Known for their classic poutine and their Italian poutine, the staff always ensures the humble but well executed flavours for every order! The fresh cheese curds work well with the piping hot homemade gravy on top of the fresh cut fried that are fried to order! The Italian Poutine is a nice change from the classic with the hearty meat marinara sauce being a nice surprise to pair well with the cheese curds. Overall, it is worth the visit if you are ever in the Ottawa Gatineau region!

We have always liked poutine, but the last two times were a big disappointment ..We ordered a poutine and a pogo, the poutine arrived after an hour of waiting and no pogo .The waiting times are excessively long and the service leaves something to be desired when you try to contact them no one responds

This was our second stop on a poutine crawl and it was significant better and better value than the other poutine down the road. The potatoes tasted super fresh and the gravy wasn t too sweet either. Highly recommend
