I visited this restaurant for a corporate lunch. The food was very good. The eggs were cooked as they should be. Fast and courteous service. Efficient waiters and waitresses despite the number of people to serve. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces

Uncooked pizza dough. It was disgusting.

Super nice place to eat. The lunches are excellent. I had pizza for dinner last time. Generous size, the toppings were good but the lack of sauce and the ordinary dough made it a disappointing pizza.

An hour before we get the plate. Cold egg, cold bacon, cold toast, ham (ham sandwich meat) disgusting potato. Very disappointing service. Worst lunch in town. I dont advise anyone to waste their time there.

Nice place, but after being seated we were completely ignored for 20 minutes despite asking to order our food a few times (the waitress would simply not come back to take our order). Ended up leaving without eating.

Went in for lunch today. Managed to order a cappuccino and then nothing else for about 25 minutes. Asked another server if we could order, who said they would send ours over. Another 10 minutes waiting and we left. Really terrible service, I d recommend going elsewhere in town.

I was here for a work luncheon, so we were a party of around 40 people split into two tables. I was impressed at fast fast they were able to serve everyones orders. The staff was friendly and filled our waters before they ever got empty. One negative, though, was that they only provided one ketchup and one mustard bottle per table, so it took a while before they went from one end of the table to the other. Overall, I really liked the burger I had, especially since it came with two slices of perfectly cooked bacon. The side salad was fresh and tasted fine, but I wish it came with a little more dressing. I have been here before, and I dont normally like their thinly sliced chips, so I asked if I could substitute them for fries, but to my surprise they dont even serve fries, period. In the end, my meal cost $30 (tax and tip included), so yeah, quite pricey for a burger, no drink, and chips that I didnt like. But the atmosphere was very nice, so I guess that makes up for it. I had a good time meeting new colleagues and also getting to see old colleagues ever since the pandemic ended.

Horrible experience, it s my birthday and I made a reservation to have brunch. I got there with my family at 11 and it was hectic and they were seating some other people, finally we sat at 11:15 with 2 menus for 4 people. There were spilled beans all over the floor by our table and my dad almost slipped. We sat down and shared a menu and it was a lunch menu. So we got up to request a breakfast menu and the man was very rude and just said no, we don t serve breakfast after 11:15. I explained I made a reservation and the situation and he didn t acknowledge me so I told me family let s leave. Rude, dirty, rushed staff with no clear communication on breakfast timing. Won t be returning and will ensure my friends don t either.

Our reservation was confirmed online on their website. The restaurant canceled it without informing us due to a private event (wedding). We went there for nothing. No compensation for their mistake.

There is nothing worse than going to a restaurant to spend money and being treated like they dont want to serve you. This is what happened to my partner, my child and I when we went to this restaurant for his birthday. From the start the waitress was in a hurry and gave us attitude, as we started to ask questions due to my partners intolerances, she abruptly let go of us and asked the busgirl who was cleaning the tables to take care of us. After providing the waitress with polite feedback about our experience she became annoyed and dismissed it exclaiming ohh my god.

I had a bottle of Pinot Noir. The waiter gave me a bottle straight from the fridge. It was super cold and I had to warm it with my hands for several minutes. It would be nice if the restaurant service learned how to serve wine.

No waiter we had to go ask. Dry meal, bacon pancake, without syrup or anything else and no fruit to accompany. Healthy breakfast forget the egg must ask for it. Really disappointed.

The worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant ! We get in and get sat down take 25 min just to take our order . Then we ordered our app and 45 min later it arrives and was horrible so we decided to pay and leave. The waiter said no problem then have a lady come to us telling us we already started making it I explained to her we aren t interested in staying the food was disappointing can we please have our bill . She continuously goes on to basically say too bad we can t let you just leave ? We were like ugh honestly we don t wanna stay we don t like the food. She says well I can take the app off if you stay . So we stayed and ate and ready to get our bill then tells us oh we can t take it off.. whole reason we stayed was cause you said you could take it off . Her excuse was cause we ate the app . My bf ate it out of waste cause it was 30$ and we were gonna pay it cause he isn t type person to waste food and was shy to say anything . Even I was but I felt bad for my bf having to pay for such horrible food . The server was so rude and manipulative . Food was so over priced . Service sooo slow and the food is honestly not worth the price ! I am so disappointed because I had been wanting to try this restaurant and was so excited and he took me here as our only date night we get a month . So disappointed . Honestly so disappointed . I work in a restaurant and so appalled ! Do not go here I m telling you . Not worth it . Try ember or sans facon if you in Gatineau .

CATASTROPHIC EXPERIENCE for a first visit. We arrive, no hostess to welcome us, no people in line and no indication that we have to wait for someone to seat us. The best part was the way the waitress spoke to us and asked us to leave the table. We got back in line, found several people and were asked to get in line even though we were there well before most of them. We ask to see an administrator and this same waitress introduces herself as the person to speak to, tells us that we need to know this (note for tourists) and clearly tells us if you dont like it, you can go see another restaurant in a way that demonstrates a poor customer experience. So for tourists who want to take a trip to this area take into consideration that the hostesses will not necessarily be there to guide you and expect you to be informed. My advice is to spend your money in an area that values the human aspect and not your money.

Beware if you make a reservation! It might get cancelled if they get a bigger reservation... I made a reservation 2 months ago for 12 people for a celebration. Then, 1 month ago I called to add 1 person for a total of 13. My reservation was nowhere to be found, so the employee reserved again and I received a confirmation. Last night, 1 week before the event, got a text saying Bonjour, une employée a fait une erreur en prenant votre réservations. Nous avons un groupe de 80 personne en soirée. Nous sommes sincerement désolée.

I found insects in my meal (syrup)... Customer service was poor and we were still charged for the entire meal after reporting it. The management didnt even seem concerned. I wont come back.

We went here on Saturday morning, after missing it for 6-7 years of not having gone. We were so excited for our wonderful meal, beautiful views, and the amazing service we used to have. Times have changed for Saint-Eloi unfortunately. We asked to sit outside and waited 35 minutes for a table. When we got called, they gave us a table inside. We then had to wait an additional 40 minutes to get our first service (40 minutes!). We were brought coffee, no water. Asked for water, never got it. We then asked if we can order drinks, and only one of our drinks was brought, the other two were brought with meals. Just a bit confusing. For the meals, we were shocked. The potatoes were room temperature/cold, and the asparagus on our Eggs Benedict was uncooked completely. Im very disappointed as this used to be my favourite place, I LOVED going here. Sadly, our morning was impacted by the service and experience. I dont feel we paid right for what we got. I wish we could have the experience again. :( Spent around $150 for this experience leaves a negative impression and nasty taste in my mouth.

Very nice atmosphere and impeccable service. My colleagues and I had a great time at our former managers retirement dinner and loved it. The cocktails are very well made as are the dishes. I had the soup of the day (carrot and ginger and hot bread) which was not bad but my meal: prime rib and mashed potatoes, cheese gratins and Nantes carrots was a delight. Soft and cooked to perfection. Dessert, a good piece of chocolate cake with nuts and rhubarb or cherry coulis (forgot to film) was excellent. A big thank you to the two servers this evening and the cook(s). I recommend. Very nice discovery with a beautiful view of the lake and very discreet. You will see me again shortly. THANKS

Beautiful setting, long wait, and disappointing food. Ordered eggs poached medium and sausages well done (split). Egg was raw (yolk looked like freshly cracked egg) and sausages undercooked. It took so long to get our waiter s attention, I just asked for the meal to be reduced to the less expensive one egg meal. In then end, that wasn t even done properly and we seem to have been charged more for food I couldn t eat. Loved the reno, but the food and service seems to have gone downhill.

Really not what it was. The decor is successful, but the service was not up to par, the lunch was passable, no fruit on the plate, overcooked egg. We had to ask twice for more coffee and the water, well forget that, never arrived. Disappointed.

First and last experience at this restaurant. Upon entering, the decor and ambiance was very beautiful and warm. On the other hand, from there, everything else left something to be desired. Once seated we waited 20 minutes with no service. We had to wave at them several times before we were noticed. No apology from the waiter, and they brought us water 10 minutes later. We ordered a latte instead of a normal coffee. Since its a Café Bistro, we thought it should be a good café, but it was rather disappointing. We finally managed to order and once the order arrived they made mistakes with both of our dishes. The potatoes were also excessively salty and they offered to replace them with three tomatoes... In summary, we were very disappointed because we really expected a great experience. Especially for the very high price for a lunch, we expected exceptional service.

Bistro style restaurant. Simple menu, no frying, but so good! We went there for dinner. We both chose the veggie burger with black bean patty. Full of flavor, tangy, hot, garnished. And the small salad with varied ingredients and the slightly sweet vinaigrette! Vegetarian options: The veggie burger with black beans. Parking: City land, very large parking lot.

I ordered benedict, smoothie, and omelettes. Smoothie and omelettes were giod but benedict was below the average. the smoky salmon and hollandies sause was not tasty. One of the best places to eat in town, especially for breakfast! Has a beautiful view on the Lac Lemay, and is close enough for you and your family to go out for a walk after eating out. Staff is professional, food is top quality; definitely worth a visit!

I love Restaurant Saint-Éloi, especially after the renovation; it looks super classy. The staff is friendly, and the food quality is amazing. Its one of my favorite spots to go. I live in Stittsville, but its worth every kilometer.

We were at the reopening of the bistro (February 21). We had a very warm welcome from Maxime, Dominique and the owner Zoé. Food and service as good as ever. Very happy for them for this metamorphosis. Note Food 5/5 (Waffle with berries; duo) Service 5/5 (Maxime still pleasant) Quality/Price 5/5 Suggestion: there could be specials for early birds or for weekdays. I fully recommend this bistro for any time of the day.

I went to le Saint-Éloi for a Sunday brunch. First thing I noticed while waiting was some of the artwork being a little on the provocative side. Otherwise, wait time was reasonable considering how popular the restaurant is. The place has floor-to-ceiling windows, which fill the area with natural light, and offer a nice view on Lac Leamy. Waitresses/waiters are friendly and helpful & service is relatively quick. As for our food, we really enjoyed our poêlée végé, poêlée épicé and the waffle. The one thing I found surprising was the maple syrup being offered as an extra. Ive been to different places that are not as hip, with same quality dishes priced in the same range, and they served real maple syrup by default with their crepes/pancakes/waffles. Nonetheless, I highly recommend trying le Saint-Éloi! I will definitely come back for their lunch and dinner menu.

Its been a while since Ive been to St-Eloi, especially for dinner. I remembered the delicious thin pizzas that they no longer have on the menu. I opted for the seafood linguini. A disappointment. I was expecting a more generous portion of seafood. The tiny little Matane shrimp and scallops of the same size left me wanting more. All surrounded by 4-5 mussels. In short, I will return for lunch only.

Best eggs benedict in town by far. Often very busy and small, so a little noisy, but the quality of the food is worth the trip.

Fast service, good food and price

Parking: there is parking on the street with a path going in the woods to access the restaurant but there is also a huge parking just beside the lake and restaurant. Kid-friendliness: They accommodated me with a pretty big stroller on a packed saturday morning in summer aka their busiest day. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wood ramp to access the restaurant main door. Then to access parking theres either a small driveway linking the restaurant to the lake parking or a trail in the woods to access the street parking. the wheel chair should be accompanied as it can be pretty steep.

Im very picky when it comes to eating... but I was very pleasantly surprised! The breakfast/brunch is delicious! The portions are generous and of good quality. The view is very beautiful. And the staff is very friendly. In short, I recommend 100%!

We have always loved St-Eloi but the experience today was very disappointing. We went to lunch Sunday morning. It was crowded, but as always. The wait wasnt too long but once seated, we had to wait an hour before getting our meal. Then, either it wasnt what we asked for, or the pancakes were burnt, an ounce of maple syrup for $2.75. We didnt complain but the waiter still decided that he no longer came to see us even though we were very polite people. He even shouted when my boyfriend asked him for a glass of water. No manager on site and only beginner servers. A damaged table that the waiter didnt care about because he had too much on his hands. What a shame, but we wont go anymore. Maybe for a drink and the terrace but no more. A good thing though, the best poached eggs I have ever eaten and this very beautiful view of the lake.

Our small group of walkers really like going to lunch at St-Éloi, its always very good and the service is good... and a plus this morning for the young lady who served us. Thank you so much ! The atmosphere was noisier this morning; there were also more groups. OK! This is the place for that. Then, a short 2.5 km walk around Lake Lemay completes our friendly meeting.

Good service, very good food, worth the detour

we chose this place due to the excellent reviews and were happy it was within walking distance of our hotel, in a gorgeous location. Views were great and the vibe/decor was excellent. It had all the elements in place to be a great dining experience but it was the worst/slowest service weve ever had. As a former waiter, I am always patient and looking for reasons why things are moving so slowly that might be out of the servers control. However out waiter was bordering on flippant and seemed not willing or able to address the various issues the restaurant was having. We waited at least half an hour before our server took our drink order, despite having come to our table to bring us water. When we did eventually get our drinks, the food was another hour (he said the kitchen was slammed although only 2 tables came in after us all night and it was only about half full, We were there from 6:30-9:00). When he finally dropped off our appetizers and said hed put in our food order, but this was already an hour in ( three of us had ordered 2 appetizers each rather than a main course so expected to get them all together but he didnt ask about timing which most higher end places do) He initially also told us two of the things we ordered werent on the menu but we were looking at the menu and showed him and he just said, oh, its a new menu. I jokingly asked him if it was new that day. When our mains came, they were for another table. When the (almost)correct food came, he brought one instead of 3 tacos that had been ordered so our friend had to wait yet again, and the seafood linguine had still-frozen scallops in it. They were inedible. Two of us had the risotto, which was decent but was SO salty it became inedible towards the end. When we mentioned that to the waiter said hed take 50% off but since the meal had a few issues he said hed remove one dinner from our bill. The few times he came to our table, he came and went so fast we had to call him back to finish ordering more drinks for everyone at the table, not just the one person he had asked. When our bill came, it had a third beer on it that wed never received. I dont know if they were severely understaffed (tell your guests if you are) but our server was abrupt and SO slow and the food was disappointing and not worth the wait.

I went there a few times for lunch and dinner. The proximity of Lake Lemay for a walk or an outing on the water is an advantage. The food and service are absolutely superb. I highly recommend!

Just left the place. Waited for 30 minutes and never got water and coffee. Just got up and left We mentioned the issue to one of the server and waited another 5 minutes with no feedback whatsoever. We have been going to St-Eloi for years and we did not have good service today. People who arrived after us had their orders taken before us and it took ages for us to finally get our bill. It definitely reflected on the tip. I did tell an employee - the Hostess, and asked to speak to the owner and was told that they were not on site.

We were made to wait 15 minutes at the door when there were 4 tables available on the site and then 30 minutes at our table to be told who was serving more lunch. The typical excuse: we dont have staff... we couldnt do it... It was our first and last time.

Slow service. The lack of staff is felt in this establishment. Bucolic place despite the limited space on the terrace. Dont be in a hurry! Good lunch. My crepe was a little dry!

Our visit started off delightful, but everything changed once we had to wait 15+ min to get a glass of water and a cup of coffee, and still did not get the coffee for the remaining people at our table. Took an extra 15 min to order food and another hour and a half to get it. After asking multiple times..still did not get a refill on either drink...servers were actively avoiding our table and even avoiding eye contact despite us trying to call for them. The toast that came with our meal was burnt beyond edible. Definitely the worst experience Ive had at a restaurant in my life, will definitely NOT be going back here.

Great restaurant with a splendid view of Leamy lake. I particularly enjoy their late Sunday breakfast, and to boot, prices are actually reasonable. Have a great meal in a beautiful place, rent a paddleboard at the citys facilities situated just under this restaurant or head out to the casino, located within walking distance around the same lake.

Very disappointing. - The crepe was undercooked. - There was an error in the order, the scrambled eggs were on the sunny side. - the rotis (toasts) were not in the right plates, so the waiter took the toasts in his hands and transferred them. - the potatoes were charred. To make matters worse, someone came to tell us that we had to leave in 45 minutes. Its a shame, you just lost 4 customers.

Service a little long but the waitress was alone (around 10 tables occupied). I didnt enjoy the Birdie cocktail because I didnt taste the alcohol at all (it just tasted like grapefruit juice). The arancini were good, the romesco sauce was successful. We charge for the bread which comes in mini portions. Super good white wine (cabolani friuli). We ordered a filet mignon and a beef short rib. Both dishes arrived with the same accompaniments (mashed potatoes with cheese curds, very good, and coleslaw). Although the coleslaw was good, the pairing with our more refined dishes was average. The filet mignon was bland, the demi-glace as well, not salty enough for our taste but the cooking was perfect. Without a doubt my best meal in Gatineau! The atmosphere is chic but not too chic! The service is careful but not stuffy! And its just excellent. I took the duck breast. Cooked to perfection. With a risotto, Ill eat a bowl of it! And a little port sauce just right! Monsieur tried the beef ribs with the little bones that come off on their own! And above all... There are desserts! Real desserts! My French heart melts! To do again as quickly as possible!

I am celiac so I was expecting to get a glass of wine and thats it. I was super happy to discover that I could have quite a few things off their menu. I had a soup (potage) that was wonderful and the wine was so good, I went to the saq to buy a bottle. Excellent! Dietary restrictions: I am celiac so I was pleasantly surprised to find a soup I could have.

We waited almost an hour before being served. The waiter was in a hurry when ordering and unpleasant. Nice rental but thats it.

I absolutely do not recommend for dinner! Expensive, a simple piece of salmon without vegetables without sauce or side dish, for more than $25?! Its $5 at the grocery store and much better!

A nice place for brunch. Very friendly staff. Service was great. Excellent view.

Food couldn t be more basic. Meals are over priced considering you could make this at home but hotter. Omelette was dry. Salmon Benedict was cold and small. Fruit was basically garnish. Wait staff was friendly at least.

I always preferred the St-Eloi to meet my former colleagues because of the isolated benches. My sausages were a little outdated. Next time Ill stick to bacon and eggs.
