We are frequent customers and every time we order, the food is absolutely amazing. Friendly staff that offer great service. The portions are generous and we always have left overs for the next day. We strongly believe in supporting local businesses as they are slowly fading away with these tough economic times....You should try them out, you will not be disappointed.
I will have to give this place another try with their items to take out, but my first experience was pretty average. I ordered a pad thai and it wasn’t tasty… liquid sauce, blend taste. For a 20$ plate of noodles I was expecting something better. Also, I understand seating places are limited, but using plastic containers and ustensiles negatively affects the on-site experience.
The food tastes good. However the meat portion is too small. I ordered curry paste a few times and I find the same issue. I ordered Pad Thai once with beef but end up finding almost no beef or bean sprout in it. I got disappointed and haven’t come back for a while.
Tiny family-run Thai restaurant. At first, we were a bit confused, as it has only two tables for dine-in, and part of the space is dedicated to shelves of Thai groceries, which you can buy. But we were impressed by the attentive service and the delicious food. We ordered two Tom Yum soups with shrimp, and a pair of spring rolls, also shrimp-filled. Despite its smaller size, the Tom Yum had a rich taste and perfectly fresh ingredients, leaving no room for desire. The spring rolls were large, generously filled, and the peanut sauce was exceptionally tasty. Owner’s kids were also around, helping to serve the food, which made us feel like at home.
Lovely service. Owner's kids running over and so happy to have a customer around which was really sweet. The man working there was really nice too and explained products for me. Prices are also fair. And food is great. Should get on UberEats/other grocery delivery if they haven't already! Specialty shops like this can really benefit from that. Especially in an area where its direct neighbours arent really seeking out that sort of food too often.
This was one of my favorite lunch places when I worked in Hull. I was happy to see that they now deliver to my neighborhood. The food is as good as I remembered. • The chicken spring rolls (Pow Pia Kai) were generously filled, well seasoned and still crispy. The homemade sweet chili sauce goes perfectly well with the rolls. The red chicken curry (Panaeng) remains my favorite dish on the menu. Veggies are perfectly cooked, the sauce is tasty and well balanced. The yellow curry (Gaeng Garee) was also tasty but the potatoes were a bit underdone. The frozen sauces are great options for homemade quick weeknight meals. • We will be ordering again very soon.
Great food, great portion sizes. I got the fresh rolls and red curry, and loved the peanut pieces in the curry and would recommend getting food here anytime. Order by calling the restaurant, to support more of the funds going directly to them. Lovely Thai family with friendly service to our local community.
It's very hit or miss. I visit occasionally but I used to do a take out from here quite often. I have found that sometimes it's amazing, like "I would travel from the other end of town to get this food" amazing. And sometimes, it's completely flavorless and kind of terrible. Maybe they have multiple cooks and some are just better? Also, they have increased their prices to the point where it's not a good deal anymore (especially because you never know if you'll have a good experience or a bad one). The lunch "special" just isn't a good deal anymore, and it's almost the same price as the dinner prices. So I'd say go, but if it's not good, maybe you had it on an off-day. If it IS good when you eat it, it's really good and worth the price. Otherwise, there are other Thai restaurants within a couple of blocks that you could try. I'm not really sure how often I'll keep going back. I want consistency.
Excellent food, I go there at least once a week, the chicken and potato yellow curry, the pad thai are my favorite dishes, but honestly everything is good.
I love this place
Excellent food and the service is great! We have gluten restrictions and they are very knowledgeable. We were able to eat delicious traditional dishes. THANKS! Vegetarian options: Tofu, vegetarian dishes, lots of vegetables in the curries
Good service and good food my partners favorite restaurant
Love the Pad Thai here. Friendly staff. Quick turn around for lunch time.
Best thai in the region
Ordered by Skip the Dishes app and unfortunately Skip had no actual delivery person for the delivery, delaying the pickup time outside the branchs opening hours. The employee at the Poukham grocery store went out of his way to offer me the best service and ensure that I received my food in a reasonable time. The restaurants transparency and speed of action ensured that I didnt get to the point where I asked myself a ton of questions about delivery times. On the contrary, I was very well informed and I am very grateful for that. Despite the problem with skip the dishes and the delay caused by this poorly organized company. My food was very good and still hot! And this is thanks to the employees of the Poukham grocery store. I highly recommend! THANKS.
Excellent curries and spring rolls. Dedicated, warm and welcoming family business.
Love this place! Quick, easy and delicious. They staff or owner are just so sweet and kind! My favorite place in town for authentic thai food
Just WAO! the food is miaMyY the service is top quality Enjoy
Excellent food! Fresh and tasty!
Excellent for health conscious people who desire amazing flavors.
The food was so good, would definitely recommend. Good place for authentic Thai food.
Wow. What a gem in Hull! This food is so authentic and incredibly good! Great friendly service! Seriously best Thai food I ve had in the region!
Great Thai. Best on the quebec side for sure.
Great place for Thai food. Weve been repeat customers for the past 3 years. Best pad thai ever.
English review below In fact, there are many Thai restaurants in Korea, so I had no intention of coming here, but I happened to visit this place while looking for a place that was open during Thanksgiving break. By far the best Thai food Ive ever had. The portion size is a bit big for Koreans, but it is so delicious that they end up eating it so they dont have any leftover. The best Thai food I have ever had including in Korea. It s a bit a lot for me, but I couldn t stop eating this delicious food. They have run this restaurant for 40 years. Just try and have a great experience.
Go to favourite is definitely the Pad King. Always great food and friendly staff!
I absolutely loved what I ordered! I had the panaeng curry with a portion of rice. It was really tasty! I also bought some frozen sauce to take away which I cant wait to try. The service was really pleasant. A MUST for local residents and civil servants!
the pad thai was delicious and also the spring rolls were very good i recommend going there
I bought a spring roll from Épicerie Poukham on the uOttawa campus and it was the most insulting roll Ive eaten. It is made almost exclusively with lettuce (see photos). They put some noodles on the side to make it look like there were some inside. Really cheap and I paid $6!
Still just as good and tasty. I inform you that it is open and strongly recommend that you go and encourage them during Covid. Its a local company with Thai flavors that take us on a journey.
Amazing food! Staff were very friendly and safe with takeout. We will be back
The place looks pretty good, however at the time I arrived 2:30 a.m. it had just closed there seems to be schedule changes depending on circumstances, not too much parking and there are parking meters. I looked at the menu displayed on a wall at the entrance, good choice of dishes, find out the size of the portions, the prices were between $12 to $20...does not seem to have wheelchair access. ! .Good day
Simply excellent!
The food was not good, I started Pad Thai It wasnt fresh, no shrimp, you could have done better
The service is impeccable, the products are fresh and the prices are reasonable. I recommend 5/5 on customer service, food is fresh and prices are good! Go enjoy a chat with guys!
The service was incredible ! The worker was super friendly and welcoming and willing to answer my many questions. Good quality/pricing. Food was delicious ! Really worth stoping by.
Impeccable customer service and excellent food, both fresh and frozen. To discover!
The pad thai here is one of the best in the Ottawa valley, and the family that runs this restaurant are good people. Try the sauce they sell too!
Really great Thai takeout, fresh and nicely portioned. Recommend the green curry.
Frozen sauces are incredible for preparing Thai dishes at home.
Very good! I bought some frozen sauces and it was delicious and very well priced. I highly recommend.
Very good service ordering to take away was soooo good, excellent!!
Excellent service!
I had a lovely experience with this restaurant, as I was travelling from out of town and found this place for dinner. They were so accommodating and even helped me with parking. Plus, the food was excellent. Will be back again.
Good service, and the food is awesome.
We are on vacation and staying in the neighborhood. One of the best Thais I have made. Impeccable service, fresh products and great flavor. Quality quantity super attractive price. A must do if you want to eat something other than grilled hamburgers...
Very good food, recommended...
I have tried a few places since I moved to Canada but the food simply reminds me a kind of food I usually have back in Thailand.
Enjoy the take out or eat in the small space or patio, either way its recommended
Authentic and delicious Thai.
Good one
SO much flavour!!! By far, THE best Thai Ive ever eaten!!! Highly recommend!!!
My family and I went to the restaurant at least twice a year when it was located on Montcalm Street. I have never found anything comparable elsewhere in Quebec. I have to try the new location where you can only order take out. But I have no doubt that the food is just as good. :)
Not a restaurant: that has been closed. A small take-out counter, catering and a few Thai groceries. Excellent Thai.
Really great catering service. So good food!
Very nice little place where you can buy Thai ingredients for your recipe. They also make meal that you can eat on site or to go.
Really good
Delicious curry that was ready in no time.
Good place to find ingredients, ask at the counter for the fresh produce that is behind
Same excellent service and quality following the move!!!
Great food
Very good food I wish I had the opening hours
Thai food here is only so-so, but the location is good and the atmosphere is nice.
The restaurant is no longer open, its a shame this place will never be. It is possible to take a take-out order.
Love this little place. Especially the service. Great, fresh, Thai ingredients to take out and make at home. Asked for cooking tips and got em, no questions asked. I go out of my way to shop and eat here. Coziest, most authentic place around.
Best Thai I ever had! I lived in Thailand for two years and every time I eat at Lotus its like Im right back in Thailand ;)
Great restaurant, clean, impeccable service! And the food is excellent. The servers are courteous and voluntarily provide advice on our choice of order. I love it, its a must :)
Fast service. Excellent food at reasonable prices.
In from out-of-town. Walked in during a busy lunch service. Owner greeted me promptly. Asked what I was looking for... Specialty of the House. Curry. Chicken & Spicy. Whipped up something very fast. Excellent quality of the food and great flavor. Recommended.
I went with my family once there! it was so good! But every time I want to go again is closed.
Good little restaurant not very far from Terasses Boilers, not too expensive.
