I like their food. The chefs are really nice. The woman at the cash however is not honest at all. She adds extra charges when ever she feels like it. If you check the menu prices in the restaurant and then go to pay you are over paying everytime with her. I won't be back because of her. Again the food is good though so if you don't mind getting ripped off by her you should try their food.
Ordered some take out (spicy fried noodle, beef bulgogi and croquette) for dinner. Spicy fried noodles were... spicy. At first, was a bit too spicy, but it was actually addicting. Ended up drinking beer with it. It had a very Smokey? Flavor to it. Was pretty good now that I think about it. Croquettes were good too. Think this was the best. Was fried well and was pretty nomnom. Bulgogi was alright. On the sweet side and not the typical cut used for beef bulgogi. Still, was good enough. I'll be back to try others. Was decent enough.
Ordered from Uber Eats. Amazing food Korean food, arrived hot and the flavours were excellent. Will order from them again for sure.
$52 for two "stir fry's" ($73 with Skip the dishes after a $5 tip and fees). for the smallest portion i have seen. They were both supposed to be stir fry's....the Korean Bulgogi has 3 tiny pieces of green peppers and that's it, no other veggies. The General Tso's Stir Fry had 7 tiny cut up carrot pieces and a little slice of onion and a couple chives on top. These were both far from "stir fry's". The beef was nasty and so overcooked it was tough to swallow. The General TSO chicken was so chewy, each bite would take a minute of chewing just to get down.
Amaaaazing bibimbap! I’ve had it three times from here - two beef and one chicken. One dine-in and two pick-up. The beef is my fave but they’re both so good. Super flavourful, fresh, and a really decent portion for the price. The service isn’t super quick (waited 10-15 mins) but I also know that means everything is prepared fresh! Dine in atmosphere is alright but I prefer to do takeout.
Accessibility: Fully accessible aside from automatic doors. This restaurant is mainly for take out/pick up. There are some seats available, but no table service or proper utensils. If you choose to eat here, they only have plastic disposable utensils and wooden chopsticks. I ordered the pork ramen and was not disappointed. The pork was very soft, perfectly cooked, and there was plenty provided in my meal. The vegetables (carrots and baby Bok Choy) tasted very fresh. The noodles had a nice strong egg-flavour to turn. There is no choice in noodle type but I was not disappointed. The broth was a bit plain but still drinkable. If I lived in this area, I would do take out from here again. The dining area and bathrooms were in need of a good deep clean. Also it doesn't look like the ceilings/air vents have ever been cleaned.
Mixed first impression when I walked in. Then I tasted the daily special - it tasted fresh, was cooked just right and seasoned well. I appreciate the reasonable portion size, as it reduces waste (and waist 😉) and keeps prices reasonable as well. Open kitchen concept so you can see, hear and smell everything that is going on behind the counter. Not a lot of in-house seating, but a nice set up with nice wood tables and benches. I solid little restaurant. #localguide
The restaurant itself is clean and looks good. The food is definitely mediocre. Another reviewer calls it "foodcourt quality" and that's spot on. The "ramen" is basically the dried noodles and powder broth you buy at the grocery store, and the stir fry isnt much better. Definitely foodcourt fare.
The name says it all,nom!nom!
Very delicious food at a great price! Definitely my go-to Asian restaurant whenever I m in the area.
Our favorite takeout, always delicious.
Really fast and friendly service!
Great restaurant, everything is good and fresh! Highly recommend
Best restaurant ever. Why did this restaurant close up? Food : 5/5
The Korean style noodles, Bibimbap and Bulgogi we ordered were prepared super fast, had generous portions and were absolutely delicious. This place is a real gem!! So happy to have found them
Great selection and food is fresh. Love the black pepper beef and pad thai Food
Great food! I got the japanese teriyaki chicken with noodles. More of a 2go place.
Good food selection and friendly service. Prices are fair, check out the special for a good deal.
Great spot for a quick takeout option during workdays. Portions are actually pretty good for a lunch hours - not too much to put you to sleep but enough to fill you up. The special of the day (satay chicken) was really good and will definitely return for more.
There are a lot of good reviews about the Korean Spicy Noodles, but I dont know if there was some confusion with my order. But the Korean Spicy Noodles I received was just instant ramen with an egg and some extra toppings. Super disappointing.
Honestly it was underwhelming.
Food is well prepared, really happy with the portions and it is my go to for delicious pad thai
Amazing food and service 10/10 recommend visiting this place <3
Tried. The spicy Korean noodles with chicken. The taste was really good. Take note, when they say spicy, they mean spicy burning mouth for 10 minutes. Look forward to trying the Shanghai noodles next. The texture of the noodles was very nice.
Delicious and a great space! Good find!
Its my favorite place to eat in the east. Beef Bibimbap is amazing.
Went to get a menu for a few of us to order. Told they do not menus and can take a picture of the wall menu. Well another restaurant was happy to get the business you might have gotten. If you only would have a menu so a group of people could look at it and place their orders.
Great food. I particularly like the Bibimbap and Spicy Korean Noodles. And they always give big portions. Vegetarian options: You can ask them to make almost any dish with tofu.
Excellent spot for authentic cuisine. Very diverse menu for all tastes and at reasonable prices. Your food is made on the spot and served piping hot.
Korean stir fried noodles are delicious.
It was my first visit and I was very pleased with the service and the food. It was lunchtime, and I still did wait very long for my food.
Very disappointed in both the food and the customer service. Ive ordered from this place probably a hundred times before and the food was generally good. Tonight was a special birthday dinner and I ordered tofu Pad Thai, a dish Ive ordered before. Tonight I got something, but it wasnt pad thai. The dish had a sweet sauce, no garlic no peppers, no peanuts, no cilantro, no lime, no tamarind, no peanut butter in the sauce, no fish sauce. I called to let them know I was disappointed. The woman I was speaking with claimed to be the manager, she told me to come back up to the restaurant so she could look at it. I told her I wasnt leaving a birthday dinner for her to look at it, that I was just calling to let them know I was disappointed and that this wasnt the quality I was used to. She told me her pad thai doesnt have spice or peanuts and that you have to ask for them (never had to do this in the past) she then proceeded to tell me I could add what I wanted at home (I dont order from restaurants to remake the dish at home ). At this point a man took the phone and began yelling at me. Actually yelling at me. He was yelling that I didnt know what I was taking about (I learned how to make authentic pad thai from an actual Thai neighbour) and continued yelling incoherently at me, to the point where I had to hang up. I wasnt asking for a refund, I just wanted to let them know that the quality was subpar. After the poor quality of the food along with the horrible customer service I will never be ordering from this place again and I will actively recommend that no one else order from there unless they want VERY North Americanized Asian food. Horrible food. Horrible experience.
Food is absolutely amazing and the price is very good. The restaurant tables and chairs need cleaning, I suggest take out only.
Was fairly quick Really good food Went we a friend for lunch both of us enjoyed it Food : 5/5
Delicious food, quick friendly service.
Best general tao in Ottawa
Love this place! Really enjoy the Korean spicy noodle
Fresh, friendly and delicious food! Simple menu and organic decor. Will return again!
If folks are looking for a pricey place, poor quality food, extremely bad service, no vegetables in a plate ( oh yes you have to pay for that extra) you have found your spot. rating is ZERO out of 5. Ideally this business should do us all a favour and close shop or completely change their menu and attitude.
Nothing has popped out from the menu for my taste. I tried to order pad see ew, or something similar, but they didnt know what I was talking about. Wanting to give the smaller business a chance, Ive picked up food here a couple times for my mom and kids. All have said they prefer Thai Express.
Fast service and amazing dishes. Pad Thai and Korean Noodles are top notch
Simply, the best!
Hidden gem. One of my favorite restaurants in Ottawa. The Thai Red Curry is incredible!
Delicious meal. Love the design of the place.
Went for lunch the other day and had a great meal. Excellent price and made fresh!
Delicious food with a wide variety menu! The owner couple are super nice. Idea place for a semi-quick take out that would out rank many restaurants in town!
Good food and menu online would certainly help
I pulled a metal shaving out of my mouth after eating some General Tao. Looked kinda like those metal scrubby things for washing dishes? Girlfriends food at least didnt come with metal shavings & she said it tasted good.
Have been a couple of times and loved it each time; both dine-in and pick-up. The owners are friendly and so generous with portions given the price. Taste is great too.
The food here is fresh and delicious. Fast and easy to order pickup. Lovely staff.
Delicious assortment of Asian foods. Definitely the best bulgogi in the East side! Would also highly recommend their braised pork bowl.
Nothing really wrong with it, just didnt find it very good
Fast service, one of the better Chinese food places Ive experienced
Best of Asia menu. Friendly. Yummy food, but a bit heavy on grease. It s a nice treat once in a while.
Great Asian dishes
Price should be adjusted if order is not through delivery service. Food is authentic and delicious.
They have great quantities and quality. You will not regret it. Food
I order from Nom Nom frequently. The food quality is consistent, tastes great, and portion sizes are really good. Overall a great value!
Trashy restaurant waitted over an hour and half for my order, walked into the restaurant and it still wasnt ready the employees were really rude! And started yelling at me for no reason i reccomend nobody comes into this restaurant ever again.
They increased the price :( No longer affordable
Had bibimbap and pad Thai. Excellent portion size and very tasty. Would like to try everything on the menu.
The food here is AMAZING. Ive been here a couple times and it will definitely be coming back again to try everything on the menu. The vegetarian options are so tasty. And the portions are very generous. Ive had the: - Veggie Korean Spicy Noodles (super tasty with soft and chewy rice cakes) - Tofu Red Thai Curry (love the peanuts and creamy flavour, as well as lots of veg and spongey tofu) - spring rolls (what you expect, light crispy veggie rolls) - sesame balls ( also very good with red bean filling)
Love the Teriyaki dishes and Red Thai Curry! Would recommend.
This quaint food establishment has decent quality control. Its priced fairly, packaged fairly, for the amount of food you get. Very simple ingredients, and though each dish is fulfilling, Nom Nom Kitchen misses a critical opportunity to add a unique fusion-type of experience to its ordinary Asian cuisine.
Stopped by this mom and pop place on a whim and had the bulgogi pork belly. It was so flavourful and served up quick. 5/5.
Always super fast, super consistent good quality food and very very reasonable!
We ordered the braised beef and red curry. Let me start with the braised beef; melt in your mouth bulgogi-esque delight that soaks into each grain of perfectly cooked rice delivering strong satisfying flavour and texture. The red curry we ordered with plump sweet shrimp, in a sauce that creeps up the heat in a pleasant manner, subdued by the coconut milk, was so good and flavorful, I was glad to have that perfect rice to soak up all that tasty curry gravy. We had some left overs the next day, so I fried an egg and the runny yolk was SO good with the braised beef. We also HIGHLY recommend their bibimbap!
I ordered from UberEat today. It is the combo with 2 meals option but they put it in 1 box ?! They did not mention that it comes with rice that make me order extra rice. The combo charged 21$ for a little amount of food and half box rice. I think it is not worth it and too expensive. So disappointed!
This is my second time ordering takeout from Nom Nom and this place is a hidden gem. The cooks are so hardworking and friendly, and the food is to die for. The Korean Spicy noodles are addictive. This place is definitely our new favourite. Thank you so much for the great food!
Food is amazing, always big portions and great taste.
If you like Thai food, youll love this place. Service is only decent (thus the 4/5 stars) but the food more than makes up for it.
Hands down my favorite pad thai place in town! Every single dish Ive had from Nom Nom has been excellent. Made fresh, served hot and the portions are huge. I drive from the west end...its that good!
Food is good. Lots of choices and authentic.
Ordered at 6:14 received order at 8:01. Every time I order from these guys on Uber eats they either take forever(like way longer then estimated) or they always don t include things as promised.(rice, sauce, drink etc) foods tasty, but man it s always a risk to order with these guys online.
The foods not bad. It is Korean foods restaurant. Not crowded and no line up. The price is reasonable.
3 stars because food is great the takeaway containers are smaller now on regular orders makes me not want to order anymore
Yummmmm. Excellent menu for lunch or dinner. A few specific dishes and very tasty. The spicy pork belly bibimbap boats loads of flavor and its not very spicy so those who prefer a medium level of spice will enjoy this dish.
Ordered two dishes today for the first time. Site says bibimpap comes with mushrooms but ours didnt. I called the store and explained the situation and was told they didnt have enough mushrooms for all dishes and had to pick which ones to put them into. The lady on the phone was rude and hung up on me after her brief explanation. Both dishes were still good but the customer service was pretty poor.
Our whole family enjoys Nom Nom s dishes. Everything is top quality and delicious. I would have posted pictures but everything disappeared off the counter instantly. The best dish is the Thai Red Curry. Yum!! And a plus is that all the staff and the chefs are really nice and welcoming.
Absolutely delicious food
I tried vegetarian stir fried and it was delicious.
Good taste.
Many times I have ordered and requested extra vegetables (which costs extra) in my stir fry, and I get home and there are 5 vegetables total in my stir fry. I have also had issues with ordering via phone as there phone is down quite often. Good food overall however very unhappy with the service here.
The name says it all. You will do nothing but think, and say, nom nom! While eating their delicious food. My current favourite Asian place in the city and some of the best food Ive ever eaten. So good. We always get the beef bulgogi and spicy noodles with pork and are never disappointed.
Hands down the best korean noodles in town. Give it a try and you wouldn t regret it.
Great fast food place.
Really goog dor a quick lunch. The corean noodles are great and spicy as i love
Terrible when ordering through Skip the Dishes. Order is not what you ordered at all, their 3-item combo is a joke, they ll max the cheapest option and then serve a teensy bit of meat on the side just to say they ve done it. Truly disappointed. Incredible amount of rice though, if you are jnto that.
Fast service, courteous workers, and great food.
I tried on a whim something that is hard to prepare well; braised pork belly. If you do it wrong its like chewing rubber. Done well, it melts in your mouth. This one Melted! A serving was enough for lunch AND supper!
Awesome everything here!!
Delicious. Great flavour. Great variety. Not greasy.
Great food! Great staff! This place is nice and cozy and I come here all the time.
Best noodles in Orleans/Gloucester hands down. Staff is amazing and friendly. Please come here
Great sesame balls and egg rolls
The food this place creates is excellent. I absolutely love their Pepper Beef and Spicey Korean Noodles. Cant wait to order again!
A review based on an experience that occurred 8 months ago: Great location, loads of parking spaces. However, the meal was very foodcourt-like.
Pad thai and Korean bulgogi. Pad thai was average but no complaints. Bulgogi was a bit salty. I got an expired canned pop (tasted like water). Otherwise it beats my expectations.
Food is perfectly spiced. Price is super fair and the place looks and feels clean. Staff is super friendly, wish I lived closer, my wife and I would go every week!
Definitely one of my favourite food spots in Ottawa. The bibimbap and the spicy Korean noodles are incredible.
One of my favourite meals ever. Great prices too! highly reccomend the bibimbap rice bowl and korean noodles. some of the best ive eaten.
Beef kung pao is greatest dish in Ottawa Edit : still the greatest.
It has amazing spicy Korean noodles and the general tao is deadly. I recommend.
Very disappointing. We ordered Korean food and it no Korean seasoning at all. Had lots of teriyaki sauce in both the bogogi and the pork belly. There was nothing Korean in the food and we could not even finish it had to throw it away. Please make sure if you say you are serving Korean food it s real Korean food with Korean seasoning fir the dish ordered . Very disappointed it s a waste of money. If we knew this we would just have ordered Chinese food instead. Cannot recommend Thanks
food if excellent, price is surprisingly affordable. they have a special of the day for around $10. really good place.
Good food except dont order the takoyaki (nevermind ordering extra)unless you like it plain without either the sauce or seasoning thats usually associated with.
Average pad Thai but excellent Korean Jin ramen.
Really like this place. Cozy feel.and delicious food. Fair prices too. Friendly staff
I ordered a wanton soup and a couple of eggrolls. It took 25 min for them to get it together. Too long for people with a half hour lunch. Nothing special either. I wont be back.
Our first time there, and everything was great! Its nice to have a place like this near us :)
Love every meal Ive had here except the wonton soup! Their Korean beef is delicious!
Soo tasty! It was a little out of the way but totally worth it.
Very nice fusion restaurant. My friends and I really liked our meals. Very decent portion size. Definitely try it out
Delicious!
The food was alright, I guess I was expecting more of a restaurant but it felt more like fast food. Not a bad place to get a quick bite to eat though!
love this place, its right up the street from where i work and alot of my co-workers and I eat here!!
General Tao chicken and lemon chicken was good. Girlfriend was not a fan of the ramen soup
Great tasting food. Very nice customer service. Foods and various dishes served with a smile. A definite go to place.
As someone who enjoys spicy food, the Korean noodles have become my go-to meal when I m out in the east end, craving something inexpensive, and filling. Their ramen is great as well, but the Korean noodles are far better than they have any right to be.
Delicious Asian food! Favourites are the Korean Jin Ramen and the Korean Bulgogi Beef. Great value for the quantity and quality of food. Only thing to keep in mind is that your order can take a bit of time be served since everything is made fresh!
A 7/10. Got the vege spicy tofu stir fried and it was fresh but lacking vegetables
Delicious food, friendly staff. I always love coming here
Great fresh food, well priced and friendly staff . Chicken Bulgogi just great!!! Very recommended.
I basically lived off this place during renovations. They have a nice little sit down area and the food is always great for portions and taste no matter what you get. Daily specials are a great way to save money, but my favourite is the tonkotsu ramen
The dishes are delicious and I find the prices affordable!
Order from this place a lot when at work at TOH...I have many people hooked. I like to try different things when I order but no matter what it is, it comes hot, fresh and the food is fabulous....and the price is right
Food is good but always long wait for pick up. They underestimate the amount of time it takes last 2 times I was here.
Friendly staff and great food
Thai Red Curry with tofu was delicious! Same with everything else in our order. You are now our go to Thai place!
Affordable decent Asian cuisine in a clean restaurant
Terrible service, food was alright but not worth the 30 minute wait. They seem to have lost the order since a bunch of people behind us got food first. When we asked were told itll be ready soon and they got angry at us for even asking. This was 20 minutes into the wait. Overall wont return or recommend to anyone.
Good food but some of the vegetables were a little undercooked in my pad thai. A little on the pricier side but the serving sizes were generous.
Not bad for a fast food Korean spot. Menu is a little confusing but the staff are friendly so ask away. I wish they didnt use so much plastic but that would be my enviro rant. Otherwise, its a good spot.
Pretty decent Korean food. Service was fantastic
Terrible service. There was a mistake in the address with Skip The Dishes, the restaurant was not helpful and refused to assist when changing the address or even making the effort to figure things out so my order was thrown in the garbage. The driver refused to drive to the correct address after Skip The Dishes figures it out and the restaurant stopped responding.
What I love about this place is that it is a family business. The food is authentic.
Staff is friendly and food is good
Authentic family restaurant.
Good portion and good price
Always make great food. I look forward to trying new dishes there, especially since I have yet to try something on the menu I have not liked (and the prices are very reasonable). You walk in to a clean establishment that is serving hot, fresh food and are greeted by staff with smiles on their faces.
Have not stopped in, however delivery is fantastic. Exceptional prices for delicious varied options. Excellent portion sizes (except for the curry dishes - very small portion of curry & veg served with scoop of rice) and relatively quick preparation. Would recommend ordering directly from restaurant, not Skip The Dishes, as Uber drivers tend to lag and slow down the delivery. Recommend!
always fresh and delicious!
Awesome food
Dont order from here on Skip The Dishes. Absolute waste of money. Average tasting, ridiculously small quantities of food for insane prices.
Really really good, freash and delicious
Amazing !!
I ordered the General Taos chicken in-store and it was yummy. Nom Nom Kitchen is a nice family owned business and I would come again for lunch.
Delicious! Will visit again!
Teppan Chicken has succulent chicken and accompanied by a good portion of vegetables. Manefique
Great bibimbap!
Counter service. Food was cooked quick and was fresh. Everything tasted good but portion was a bit small especially the bulgogee beef, which if I recall was one of the most expensive items on the menu. We also ordered the Bibimbap. Came with the usual assortment of vegetables. Only downside was the egg was cooked fully so it doesnt have the runny yoke you typically get with this dish. Also there is no option for stone pot so no crispy rice.
Ordered with skip the dishes This is hands down the worst delivery I ve ever ordered. The dish advertised peppers in the General Tao. There are two pieces in the entire thing are you kidding me? How is it possible to screw up general tao chicken? The shape of the chicken is more like giant soba noodles than chicken. The only tiny amount of chicken in here is dry and shredded. Lost in a sea of batter. I paid for a bunch of batter covered in general tao sauce. It doesn t even look like chicken! On top of that it s not even crispy! Come on guys. This is a hate crime on food. I ll never order from here again.
Second time here and enjoyed my lunch and quick service. Pad thai was a bit on the sweet side. But enjoyable and hot on the table within minutes of ordering.
Freshly made to order Asian (mostly Korean centred) cuisine. Great flavors, reasonable portions, great for sharing. This is our neighbourhood go-to when life is too busy to cook.
I give it a 5 for the price and quality combine. Ordered Pad Thai. Ive had good and bad experience from Thai express. But this place was surprisingly good relative to Thai express. And the price is very reasonable as well.
Good food and good customer service
Great spot for lunch or take out dinner! Taste and great flavours! Fast and hot.
Pretty good place to stop for Asian cuisine . Small with a few seats to dine In .. the could use a bit of window cleaning they are hazed with cooking grease but the rest of the restaurant is clean
Quick meals that taste great
Nice little fast food spot. Puts any Thai Express to shame. Quick and friendly with a menu that shifts so its not always the same meals you can get.
Delicious Korean, Japanese and Asian dishes for take-out or quick eat-in at affordable prices.
Excellent food, tremendous service and the restaurant is very clean. I will definitely recommend Nom Nom restaurant and cannot wait to return.
