Please, please, please update this decades old menu. It needs a good vegetarian/vegan option. It desperately needs fresh vegetables and fruit. The service is great and the chef does the best he can with the outdated menu.

Great pub fare, with friendly service, and an 80s Playlist for atmosphere. And a live band was warming up for later!

Great ambiance like an old English pub. Food is simple but good. Club sandwich is my go to and it was as good as they get.

Good beers and a good little spot for a pint. Went there for new years and met Liz Wendy and Scott. They truly made us feel at home :) will be back next year!

The Arms is a wonderful little snapshot in time. It hasnt changed for years. Rick is the forever owner The day server Ashley never forgets what you drink or eat. The food is comfortable and good.

Always a fun local place to go for good pub food, beer, and even darts or pool! Met some great people there and had some fun!

The restaurant must have just been having a busy day. The beer and diet coke were flat. Then, the club sandwich had overcooked chicken, bacon, and toast, making it crunchy and dry. Friendly servers, though.

My parents favorite pub so we had to go when I was in town. Happened to be Stpaddys Day! Got the fish special that was delicious and our server was great too. Whole place said goodbye when we left. Nice to feel local even when Im not! Always been a cozy friendly spot. Hope it stays forever!

Very enjoyable experience. Service was out of this world good. We had the nachos and split a club sandwich platter. The nachos came fully loaded and were oh so cheesy. The club was what you would expect from a top notch pub. Long list of beers on tap.

Fish and chips were very good. Large portions and very good price. Server was attentive.

Really not what I expected, as a foodie I was disappointed with the food. The fries and fish were way overcooked, the malted vinegar had no taste either seems like it s been opened for too long. I d have to go back and try something else, as I might have to revise my rating if some of the other foods are better, but honestly I d rather not. I m done. I d come back for a pint, or the nachos but that s it.

A good pub to have decent drinks and watch sports. Not many food selections, just average food. Stays open till late hours. Staff are polite and funny.

Great food and atmosphere

My friends and I come here to see Tammy and Sophie. They are the light in this dark establishment. Without them, this place would be a sad hole in the wall.

The Blackburn Arms in Ottawa is one of those unique restaurants that has been in business for decades because it has a great location, provides good food and has friendly bar staff. In addition it draws out customers with events such as dart leagues and soccer and football on TV.

Went during a recent power outage and the limited staff along with the owners ran themselves ragged feeding half the neighborhood. Food was good, service was excellent. Kudos to the Arms for stepping up.

Nice pub in the Blackburn hamlet area. They have an outdoor patio but you can also sit indoors if youd like. Be advised that they dont have a drink menu so you will have to ask whats on tap. We ordered nachos which were pretty good and not too pricey.

Great to have a friendly pub in the neighbourhood. Their food is decent pub fare. It would be great if they switched up some of their offerings. And maybe a few local beers on the taps.

Nice spacious event space away from the restaurant, including an accessible washroom. The food was delicious and plentiful. Appetizer lasted two meals. Pleased they had a non-alcoholic beer in stock. Service was fantastic. The door is challenging for folks with mobility devices.

Great service... Amber was very friendly and attentive. The perogies were fair, and a bit short on bacon. Love the patio. Will return.

Waited almost an hour for French toast and a simple breakfast in a mostly empty place in a Sunday. Terrible. Server was sincerely apologetic and did her best but obviously problems in the kitchen. Will not be back.

Friendly staff. Tasty wings, especially on Wednesday when they are discounted for wing night. They have a scotch tasting every couple months (not on now because of Covid) that is fun to go to with a couple friends.

I go on Wednesdays for the half price wings and trivia night. Its the only pub in Blackburn Hamlet. One pool table, darts league, live music on weekends with no cover charge, patio in the summer. My only complaint is that they do not stock local craft beer. They dont have some sports games on the TVs because of the high fees the cable companies charge to bars. This pub is too small to afford the exorbitant fees.

Tammy served us promptly and with grace. We appreciated how she was very attentive to serving the tables. The atmosphere was friendly and nice. We ordered a delicious tray of appetizers. They were delicious. Well cooked and the dipping sauce was heavenly. We would all go back to The Blackburn Arms Pub for all of these reasons. Give it a try for an evening out with friends. You will not be disappointed. Excellent customer care.

The food is always delicious but service tends to be pretty slow.

Its great to have a relaxed place to meet friends and have an enjoyable time. Go there for hearty pub food along with fast, friendly service. I enjoy the local bands too.

Went for wings and beer. They have a special on wings on Wednesdays. The wings were great and they have a good choice for beer on tap. Only complaint was the service was a little slow. Other than that everything was great.

Overpriced, food was poor and the place is in a bad need of a renovation. That being said the service was friendly and good. I wouldnt recommend this place for food at all...drinks maybe.

Not a bad spot

Most inconsiderate and discriminatory owner ever! Will literally NEVER set foot in that place again. Tried for weeks to arrange medical accommodation for their Chrismas Party for an autistic child, was treated dismissively by employees on the phone, was ignored by the owner who refused to discuss anything, the one call returned resulted in an off topic message with no ability to communicate further. Was assured by community resources that accommodation would be made and arrived to find out it wasnt at all and that the owner could care less. Telling me this is about and for the kids, ordering me to sit down like some dog and to stop ruining things... Apparently every other kid but mine mattered... WHICH IS WHY I CALLED MANY TIMES FOR WEEKS TO TRY TO ARRANGE! Refused to identify himself when asked and when I was able to identify that he was the owner, I no longer felt safe in his establishment, so we left. Had any attempts at compassion been made by that man in anyway he couldve diffused the situation but instead he left me shaking in front of my child.
