It was so good that came here every morning during our stay. We don't speak much French, so they served us in English.
While I was initially disappointed with the hostess's seating arrangement, which seemed disorganized and led to delays for larger tables, my experience fortunately improved from there. I am thrilled to give a glowing review to Janie, who exceeded our expectations with her exceptional customer service. She provided us with an outstanding experience that ensured we will return without hesitation. The generous portion sizes, even for kids' meals, were impressive, and the flavors were delightful. The presentation of the dishes was visually appealing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Kudos to Janie for her outstanding service. Thank you Janie. We tried egg & donuts for kids, Avocado Lox and Big Ben, all delicious.
First time I'm desapointed enough to put a comment here. When asked if I wanted a coffee I said yes please and a glass of water, she brought the coffee no water. I said thank oh you forgot the water she behaved as if she never was never asked. Ok maybe she didn't hear it. She wanted to take our orders I had a slight hesitation she rolled her eyes looked back as if to say I was slowing her down, had the same crapy attitude with my guest. Got our meals I took a brunch it came with no beans no creton very small and thin half of a slice of ham a very well done sausage & bacon. We couldn't see her so one of us went to asked if we could have someone to our table she showed up before we spoke she said ok so beans are missing and said the name of another person that must've forgot I mentioned it being the first time that I had such a bad looking plate. She said ok and walked away. Leaving me with an empty cup of coffee. Some other young lady brought our missing food and kindly offered coffee. Bottom line is a little I'm sorry we'll fix that for you would've been nice. At the end she was there with our bill and I said you know you have a great smile but the passive aggressive behavior and naming the person to blame for the errors is not the greatest way to react and that a simple sorry for this we'll fix that would've made a major difference in how we felted. Her response was I'll google what passive aggressive means thank you. Questionning what the problem was would've been appropriate. I didn't complain about the meat just the missing items. I never write negative reviews but this was really unpleasant. No I wasn't rude I'm in customer service myself. No it wasn't crowded. I've seen that place full and had an amazing service each and every time. We had a hard time getting a second cup of coffee with her. Now my guest said never again... She didn't give her a tip and in return was thrown her bill on the table. I'm usually a big tipper and around the holidays even more, this time I didn't give much. This happened today December 12.2023 at 11h15 Ben & Florentine Granby. Sorry for the long message.
We are English speakers on vacation in Montreal and stopped by Ben and florentine for breakfast. The staff were lovely and polite to us, finding us English menus and doing their best to accommodate us. This is far different then the expierences weve had at other restaraunts on our treat and we appreciate it immensely. The food was great as well.
Food was good, one of my friends was disappointed with the flavor of their meal, but I loved what i got.
Not many vegan options, so if you care about animal rights but also want a good breakfast, this isn’t it.
One of my favorite breakfast places in town, the food is great and the service is the best.
We went for brunch on a Sunday. There was a lot of people but we didn't wait too long before being seated (10 minutes). The food was very good, but there were several things I did not appreciate. First of all, they did not give us glasses of water, which is the first thing you do in any restaurant. Second, I asked for my eggs turned and cooked through because being pregnant I shouldn't eat yolk, but that is not what I received. Third, I was charged more on my receipt after being asked choices for both the ''pain de ménage'' and ''maple syrup''. The waitress did not mention that I would be charged for certain choices, which was frustrating. They should mention the surcharge if they offer these choices!
Kid-friendliness: Parfait Food
Perfect for a breakfast, lots of choice and the food is good. The service is fast and friendly. We are always satisfied with our visits to Ben and Florentine.

Everything was very good, the waitress was friendly and smiling, the dishes were appetizing, and good portions were served. The prices are fair. They offered drawings and small cups of cereal to keep the young children waiting. I recommend Kid-friendliness: They offer wax crayons and drawings, and they gave us FruitLoops starters to keep the young people waiting. It s a very nice touch.
The waitress refuses to take money and absolutely wants to pay $25 by card for an egg with a waffle and cold potatoes. I dont recommend it at all, not even coffee or bread if you go there, theyll stuff their lollipop into you stiffly.

Worse place they set an opening hour and they dont respect the hours, so I drove 30m for nothing, the waitress said well the owner decided to close early, dont even know how it works in a bussiness, especially not in the restaurant business, they just lost a lot of customers

This restaurant leaves room for discussion in terms of food and service. I had the same plates that I usually have at other Ben&Florentines. The plates are literally half the size. A sausage, 3 slices of bacon, 9 potatoes and French toast without syrup (because you have to pay extra for the syrup). I paid for extras that I wasnt given. When I ask questions, the waitress leaves to go to other customers and only comes back with a bill almost 30 minutes later mentioning that we got our extras. We didnt get water or coffee without having to ask for it on more than one occasion. I find the service received distressing. This branch should be avoided. Lots of competitors will be happy to serve you well, with good dishes that wont cost you $25 per person for almost nothing. My partner, who has a small appetite, suggested that I finish with McDonalds.

Good lunch, the fruit was very fresh and ripe, fast service.
We had it delivered. Both of the kids meals were smores pancakes. The crepes The crepes arrived damaged, a splash of filling. We loved this place, until this morning. They offered to MAYBE I could get myself a smoothie in store. Otherwise to redo the delivery line, while telling me that it will be very long.

We cant book on weekends, but even after 30 minutes of waiting and several groups of 4 pass before us because there are 6 of us and the hostess doesnt tell us anything. Really disappointed with the customer service. We left before we had a seat...there was no one waiting at the door. In short, we certainly wont go back! There is no shortage of breakfast restaurants in Granby and the surrounding area.

Why put your branch on DoorDash if you cant accept orders when they have them. You might be better off stepping aside to avoid having rocks thrown at you.
Easy roll parking. The entrance to the restaurant, same thing. The interior: perfect for meeting friends for a good lunch/chat or to treat yourself to a little luxury. Good food. Their Ben and Dictin eggs = divine!

Cold eggs and toast too. Several minutes under the stove... my daughters oatmeal with a crust on it. Very disappointed! Unfortunately there will be no next time for us...

This Saturday morning we ate very well and good service, small disappointment, we saw customers come in and sit at tables without health passports, the waitress did not ask them
The tables are close together, there is little space to move around, so table service is poor. You have to place your things on your table, take your plates, give your plates a cafeteria kind of service. Gluten-free bread touches bread with gluten, no condiments, the food is good but the service is long, we arrived a little before 11 a.m. and left around 2 a.m., we ate for max 1 hour. I said honey, can we avoid this place in the future.

Waiting 35 minutes for nothing, not being able to get a table. Every time a table became available we were told we were next. This restaurant is not designed for large families. The manager only thinks about his wallet and not about customers. It s clear that we won t go back there.

The food is good. We are close to the kitchens and there is a lot of noise. The service is good, but we dont come often to refill the coffee cups.

Ce nétait pas la première fois que je visitais un Ben & Florentine, mais cétait la première fois à cette succursale. Le service était vraiment bien. La nourriture était à point. Bref, je vais y retourner cest certain et je vous le recommande. Mon expérience a été à la hauteur de ce que je mattendais daprès ma visite dans une autre succursale.

Arm yourself with patience

Very long service, almost an hour of waiting on a Monday morning in Granby in addition to serving small portions. Also, not great having to go online to access the menu. Very disappointing.

Excellent food, very nice lady who received it again, on the other hand the waitress who served us for our take-out order was very disappointed. I asked her a question and told her that my food was going to be cold (meal for 5 people) because she had the difficulty with our gift cards and she rolls her eyes and its a shame for that I wont go back there again (Carolanne) fortunately there is another one for the guardian angel

Very nice, brand new restaurant in Granby, delicious and hearty meal, I ate a fried vegetable and my partner, ham and asparagus pancakes, the only problem, both meals were lukewarm for my husband, its not a big deal but I like to eat hot with melting cheese, the toast was really cold, the butter on it wasnt even melted! I really didnt appreciate that, either because the waitress took too long to bring out the meals or the cook didnt heat it up enough, well...I really appreciated the service and the kindness at the reception and at the table....moreover, it is not more expensive than elsewhere....
