Café De La Brûlerie (Le) in Granby

I was there to refill my supply of coffee beans. They no longer had my kind in stock but they were very polite to the golden age customers before me, I found the atmosphere just totally relaxing and honorably respectful.

Noisy, especially when chairs are moved by customers coming and going or when they are moved by staff.

We fell in love with the place 4 years ago... every visit since has been worse than the last... yesterday was the last...

Arriving there there were 4 people in the restaurant 4 waitresses were there I sat at the bar no waitress came to see me even though my menu had been closed for 10 minutes I so leaving her I looked at everything with an arrogant look very disappointing if I could give 0 stars I would do it too bad I wanted a good coffee on this cold day.

Poor service, over an hour and a half wait with a reservation only to end up at separate tables inside with employees and a manager who are stupid. We wont come back.

We had a reservation for 11am. It took an hour and a half to get a table. Despite our reservation, our group was separated everywhere in the restaurant. We had to remember that we had arrived because they had forgotten us. The manager and waitresses disrespected us. This is not the first time this type of situation has happened to me. Excellent lunches, varied choices, generous plates and delicious coffee. Incomparable terrace and warm staff. My next visit will be to enjoy an evening meal and a cocktail.

Its not what it used to be. It took a long time to get our food tonight. The poutine was cold and the cake tasted like it was from a box.

Excellent salad for lunch. But cold lunch and runny eggs but the ham is excellent and tastes good. Took café au lait mark of taste. It just tasted like milk. A beautiful place on the terrace.

It s always a pleasure to go for breakfast at Café de La Brûlerie. The service is always smiling, there is a lot of choice and the plates are generous. Don t hesitate to go take a look, you won t be disappointed. Parking: Free parking 2-3 minutes walk away.

Very good brunches at reasonable prices. The place is splendid whether inside or on the terrace. Only small downside: its a busy place and obviously that has an impact on the service which can be rather long. On the other hand, if you take this into account, you book, and you are ready to take your time, you will have the opportunity to have a wonderful morning.

Too (much too) expensive for what I had, the Café Burger ($23.95) with a supplement for the extra poutine (+$3.50). Unreasonable price ($9) for a small glass of red beer IN A DRUG, having practically more foam than liquid. Total price, with taxes and tip (without dessert, coffee, etc.) of $46 for DINNER! The worst part was that the poutine was not hot enough, the fries were soft and dry at the same time and the sauce was much too salty, not to mention that the cheese curds were soft, without skwick-skwick, so not daily fees. Now the burger meat was overcooked, way too much and tasteless. Finally, service much too long. A lot of people, its true. For what? Beautiful decor no doubt... but service not up to par. In short, for lunch perhaps, certainly not for dinner. There is much better at this price and even for quite a bit less. Overrated and very disappointing! Never again!

Very slow 1 hour cold meal

We heard 30 minutes in the entrance, when there were plenty of free tables within sight. There was even a customer who fell to the ground from waiting in the heat. We then ordered 1 iced cappuccino and an iced oat milk latte. Both tasted exactly the same, almost nothing, a Tim Horton drop plus coffee...as for lunch, we had portobello bene and veggie casserole without onions. The bené was very liquid, the hollandaise sauce didnt drip anything, and the potatoes dripped old oil, old potatoes and I was even lucky enough to have old, uncooked potatoes. As for the casserole without onions, there were only 2-3 peppers and obviously, there were onions. We wanted to make our comments to the waitresses, but no one came to ask us if it was was to our liking or even filled our glass of water. We had to go get our bill at the coffee counter because we had been waiting for over 15 minutes for our service to end. We even thought about leaving without paying, but we are responsible citizens. Very disappointed, for a plate and a coffee at $30 each. The quality of the dishes and/or the service should be up to par. The place is very pretty, its a shame that the quality is basic.

I may not go there very often but every time I love my experience. The food is excellent every time, the coffee really good and in summer the terrace is very pleasant and the staff very helpful. Parking: The best parking is public across the river. It probably depends on the time of day or time of year but to date never had any difficulties.

Very nice experience! Lots of choice and everything looked very good. I had the Portobello burger, which I found delicious and original.

I ordered the M. Séguin hamburger and let me tell you, the combination of goat cheese and brushetta with their mayo-basil was delicious! However, the meatball was way overcooked and it didnt have a texture or taste worthy of a $23 burger! Too bad, because this burger has potential. In addition, I had a poutine as a side dish which was nothing special: classic sauce, mushy cheese and restaurant fries. The person with me ordered the cod tacos which were very tasty, but again the cod was practically absent and for the price she was expecting a bit more fish bang for the buck. In short, the food was expensive for its quality. The waitresses were very pleasant and did not hesitate to let us change places, because our neighbors were extremely noisy. Otherwise, nice dining room, cozy atmosphere and although the value for money is average, its a nice place to go out on a Friday evening!

We stopped for two beers on tap on the terrace...$12 per beer! In total for taking a break to quench our thirst...$30 with tax and tip! They will never take us back!

Small cute restaurant, well located for an activity around the lake. However, its name of roastery is misleading... they sell coffee, but their coffee tastes like water (surely the machine or their methods are not adequate.) the meal choices for the medi are not healthy except the salads which cost around $23-25. The onion soup wasnt very good either. The pine much too soaked. I expected much better!

The Waldorf salad came without grapes, even though the menu mentions all of the ingredients. They forgot to bring my extra of chicken. The juice isn t natural

Lunch was delicious but the waitress was a bit unfriendly. The table given to us was not suitable for 2 young children even though there were very few people and benches available.

Great place for a one-on-one meeting or with a couple of friends. The food is good and the prices are competitive compared to what is available in Granby. I love the decor and the coffee is EXCELLENT! I also enjoy the terrace in the summer! I could also suggest you go for a walk on the shores of Lake Boivin to bring down the little roast potatoes ! In my top three lunch restaurants in Granby! Go take a look, it s worth it!

Great discovery, very nice burner shop at the waters edge. Equipped with a terrace that will make you envious during the summer. The meals there are generous and affordable, which is increasingly rare! 1 minute from the bike path! you have to go there.

Perfect for any type of meal. Excellent menu and smelling the good smell of coffee when you walk through the door, a real treat. Small downside, I was expecting to find a specific tasting card for the coffees offered for sale. Too bad.

Nourriture exécrable, jai commandé une poutine expos, frites et sauce tellement froide que le fromage était pas fondue, Bloody ceasar qui à le goût dun virgin, je vous épargne le repas et le drink que mon épouse à pris, on à eu limpression de se faire arnaquer, presque 100$, dernière fois à ce restaurant, je ne recommande absolument pas!

I love this cafe so much with its truly unique menu, its flavors one more attractive than the other. The employees give us the impression that we are part of the family or group of friends but with a very nice touch of respect. It s a nice touch, much appreciated! The presentation is always beautiful and offers a touch of creativity that enhances what we have the pleasure of discovering and savoring on our plate. ***Update (May 11, 2023) In recent years, the few drawbacks mentioned previously have been much improved (access to reduced mobility and at least 1 disabled parking) and this is much appreciated. And there is a little change to the menu, the interior design and the cutlery which is very simple but highlights the food which is still delicious. I would dare to say that the burgers have height, stature and grace without pretension. It seems to me that these sentiments express well most of the dishes at Café de la Brûlerie. Homemade touches like certain sauces and small donuts or lemonade (yum peach!) are absolutely delicious! The service is always exceptional and the place is very clean. Thank you to the entire Café de la Brûlerie team!

La nourriture était excellente MAIS nous avons reçu nos entrées après 45 minutes et à peine deux bouchées de prises nous recevons nos plats principaux. Ensuite, nous demandons l addition et après 20min elle revient nous revoir en demandant comment les additions fonctionnent, puis un autre bon 10 minutes avant de les avoir un des pires services que j ai reçu.

Coffee tasted like old Coffee. I received my plate and it was missing sausage. I asked for brown bread and I received white bread. The food was cold and to top it all off, to pay I had to find someone to pay my bill the waitress had left without telling us. Summary we didnt get what we asked for, cold food and lousy service with a bill of $30 and more. First time and the last.

After hearing about it several times we went with a couple of friends. we were served a very low-end coffee, we mentioned it to the waitress who brought us another one not better, even the table behind us who were regulars of the place made the remark about the coffee, without no results. If you want to hire children at least have a manager on the floor to sort out problems. Ultimately very touristy due to its location but nothing more. so many better places to treat yourself to a good lunch

Im a regular here, but I find that over the years, the quality has greatly deteriorated. A few times I was disappointed with the lunches, but gave it another chance. I was disappointed once again. Cold poutine, very hard and lukewarm fries, poorly stirred sauce, almost non-existent cheese... Much too expensive for the quality. In addition, the banquette was very dirty and we had around ten fruit flies hovering around our plates during the meal (we were indoors). I will opt for other restaurants that offer better value for money. Too bad, because I really liked the decor and the atmosphere.

Went here after the zoo. We ate right on the the riverside, and the food was phenomenal, and the service was great. We will be going back for sure!

The terrace is superb, but the ambiance of the place is spoiled by dance music (just in English, obviously) which doesn t really fit in with what you would expect from a café broulerie . The meal was very decent (we had salad/poutine), but very generous! My biggest disappointment was the cappuccino served at the end of the meal, which took me back to what we were served 25 years ago... I felt like I was drinking filter coffee with frothed milk on the above. Really, we will have to rework the technique to offer a coffee worthy of the best in the brasserie cafés all over Quebec.

Paid for two special coffee And both were just hot milk... Very disappointed Ordered nacho king.. and very poorly done. Cost $50 for 2 coffees and nachos..

A little corner of paradise that will make you think of tropical islands during a good meal. I love the Mexican style decoration with its tiki bar and swings. Large terrace next to a small river and small private terrace on the second floor. Several cocktails and Moctails on the menu and several appetizing choices that will make your mouth water. Staff who take great care of their customers and are very smiling

What can I say, a friend decided to bring me there since he went before and loved it. Arrive there the location is perfect beside the bridge with a river passing beside the restaurant with tables on a patio beside it. The restaurant is two and a half stories. I didnt know what to expect for food and was surprised when I received my food with the quantity and quality of it. I would be returning for another breakfast. They also serve other food but only when there for breakfast at the moment. What can I say, a friend brought it, due to the fact that he has already been there before and really liked it. On arrival, the place is superb, next to a river, a bridge and a patio next to it for eating outside next to it. The restaurant is two and a half stories tall. I didnt know what to expect for lunch, I was very surprised when I looked at my plate, the quantity and quality of it. To be honest, its a restaurant I will return to for lunch. It also serves other meals but I am not going for those.

If you want to reward yourself after a nice bike ride, Café de la Brûlerie is the place in Granby. Their iced cappuccino tastes like coffee and is not sweet. The European plate with fig jam and country bread, wow delicious. On the terrace next to the river with its beautiful Tiki Bar I come back again

Personally, its my favorite restaurant in Granby. The food, service and atmosphere is impeccable. and their terrace is easily the most beautiful in town. A cool and relaxed place to discover if you are visiting. :) Parking: There are only 2 parking spaces on the restaurant grounds and a few spots available on the street but most people use the public parking just across the river (the restaurant is located on the edge of water) 3-4 minutes walk maximum.

Slow service, average food quality and pretty mediocre execution of dishes. Prices are high for the quality.

I used to go to this place often before and the last two times I went it perplexed me, I didnt feel welcome.

Ive been going to Brûlerie since it opened... changes in owners... and staff... In short, the food is no longer as great as it used to be. I have been there 4 times in the last 12 months for lunch as well as for dinner or dinner (soft fries, spoiled and flavorless William salad... lack of ingredients, inflated prices... expensive consumption... Yes, the pandemic has a broad back... Teenage staff on the floor and in the kitchens... is there a chef in this restaurant??? Really disappointing... especially since you can hardly ever go there? upstairs...

The ugly duckling hamburger is just too good, the chicken fajitas are also very good! Regular poutine is just disgusting (in a good way ;))!! The pear brie prosciutto pizza disappointed me a lot, the honey was too pronounced for my taste! For lunch, the apple-cheddar waffles are very good! A delight! As for drinks, the raspberry summer mojito is just DISCELLING! Alcohol or no alcohol! The red sangria was very good, the white one more sour (not suitable for everyone, but it is very good for my taste), the mango daiquiri was moderately good. As for dessert, the New York is good and the maple donuts are good! The coffee is very good!! Its worth it! The London Fog is excellent!! We have come to this restaurant several times, the service is very good!

It was sunday when we went, so perhaps thats why we had to wait to be seated. The Brûlerie was packed. Once seated the server was friendly and very competent. Food took a long time for morning breakfast. Food tastes and looked like a breakfast I make at home, but was decent. Menu is rather small compaire to other breakfast joints but the essentials are there. Overall, I think we all enjoyed our food and the coffee was good. No real parking so you need to park in yhe large parking lot down the street. Vegetarian options: They can replace the meat for yogurt. Parking: Large lot down the street

Very charming little cafe with excellent customer service. It s a very warm place. Near the building there are parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility; for others, parking is located on the other side of the river.
