À Granby, au troisième étage d’un établissement historique. Basé sur l’expérience client dans un décor chaleureux, Le Esmond vous invite dans la cuisine d’Antoine Bossé où créativité et qualité des produits sont à l’honneur
We went for drinks and the service was excellent. My wife loved her tartare and we both enjoyed our drinks. It's also a nice little decor and a nice ambiance for an evening out. I would highly recommend and will come back.
The food was perfect. It's an incredible eating experience in a charming place.
My experience at Le Esmond was unforgettable. The servers were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was amazing, we got to sit at a bar in front of the open kitchen and watch the chefs prepare our food. The quality of the food was unbeatable, each bite was like a experience. While the prices are high, the quality totally matches the price. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a elegant night out.
Great quality food, friendly staff and beautiful setting. I ate everything in my plate! A little bit pricy, but it makes sense with the menu.
A bit pricy, but damn it's good!
A sincere thank you to the crew at Le Esmond, we visited on a work trip and though we know very little french the staff was very polite and professional. The location and atmosphere were great, an unassuming almost warehouse looking building on the outside belies a restaurant that should be on any gourmand's radar. Inside a quaint, homey atmosphere is welcoming, there's a sense of nature with the plant decor and the view of trees close to the window. This is a unique experience that I cannot recommend more highly. The food was absolutely phenomenal, I had the Beef Carpaccio and the Lavender Creme Brulee, my friend had the steak and and the brownie. Talking with him neither of us could remember the last time we had had such a meal, nor could we think of anything we'd change. Again, absolutely wonderful, next time I'm in the area, I will be sure to return!
I had high hopes for Le esmond, but unfortunately it did not deliver. I like the industrial design of the place. It's not my favourite style but it gives a fun and friendly ambiance. The staffs were all nice too and I didn't have any problem with anything at first. Then the food came... My boyfriend had ordered a Lobster roll supposedly fantastic as the waitress said. The bread was soaking wet. So much he had to eat it with a fork and couldn't even hope to lift it off the plate. I had a pork sandwich and it was also impossible to eat. It was falling everywhere and pretty bland too. It was so ridiculous we couldn't stop laughing and the poor waitress was completely oblivious. I really wish it was just a bad experience and that it is better maybe for diner as we went for lunch. The pictures I've seen before seemed like another world to what I was served.
Wow!
Absolutely delicious!
Excellent food. Impeccable service!
A very beautiful and good restaurant. The setting is superb with the brick walls, the open kitchen and the vintage lighting. The service is impeccable and the cocktails are really good. The food is tasty and the principle of a slate menu is original. It was just the music that disturbed us but it went perfectly with the style of the restaurant. I recommend it without hesitation!
A big wow! The food was beyond excellent, the beer and cocktails a 10/10. Impeccable service and our waitress was able to give us good drink suggestions with the daily menu! The only minor downside was that in the middle of the evening, we spoke a little louder because the music was a little loud. Otherwise, I recommend 100% (but plan a budget, but its definitely worth the price)!
Impeccable service, a festive atmosphere and gastronomy that exceeds expectations!!!
Wow! The food was amazing, the cocktails too! The place is beautiful with excellent customer service. Best octopus Ive ever eaten in my life! Thank you
Delicious
Nicolas was our server for the evening and he was perfect. He was able to share the menu with us in an extremely precise and tempting way! The choices we made as a result were just as perfect! The octopus was a delight, as was the beef tartare! I have never seen my daughter eat so much, she who normally has such little appetite! A success all the way
Very nice experience, the food was amazing. For lobster season, the lobster and bisque ravioli was delicious!!
Yo say that we are neighbors and it was the first time that I came to see you I really look forward to the next time, since I will have the chance to introduce this holy place to other friends who are very simple for me, that is to say my children, my parents. I wish you a good evening thank you Nick what an incredible service
Dietary restrictions: Oui il prenne grand soin aussi des allergies alimentaires mais bien sûr faut leur faire le message en arrivants cela va être respecté bien sûr Food
Very nice restaurant for a nice evening with lovers or friends.
I love this place
The best restaurant in Granby
All good, all good, but just one thing, the music is too loud.
Romantic dinner for Valentines Day... Best restaurant in town
Great atmosphere, very good food, impeccable service.
Very slow service. Too many choices on the menu? Otherwise it was delicious.
What a beautiful name, and the food looks delicious. Unfortunately too far, but it is a goal in life to eat at Le Esmond... Greetings from the Netherlands Esmond
First time for us. Well appointed, it smells good in the restaurant and the toilets. Everything is clean and neat. The food was well presented and of good quality. We tried the octopus, salmon tartare, gnocchi, everything was excellent. Great service and drinks too, perfect evening, well definitely come back, great find.
Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Very good value for money.
I am celiac. They adjusted the menu so I could eat without fear. Everything was DELICIOUS. Service and warm atmosphere! It almost felt like home. Vegetarian options: Several veggie options Dietary restrictions: Celiac
Very good restaurant.
Excellent experience, go there to spend a nice evening, the plates are well crafted and tasty.
The octopus starter was rather messy and too small, however my main course of gnocchi and duck was excellent. The wine we were served was also very good. On the other hand, in terms of atmosphere it was ruined. To a noisy group was added the staff who played the music extremely loudly, we could no longer hear each other speaking. They must have wanted to please the group who nevertheless left the camp outside. We would have stayed for one dish and a few more drinks but with the cheap club atmosphere we left quickly. Too bad but I wouldnt recommend the Edmond if you want to spend a pleasant/relaxed evening.
Very good restaurant, nothing to complain about, it was very good, the place is very good and the service too. Its perfect
We waited so long to receive our order. When I saw that our waitress spoke for several minutes to another table non-stop. Food ok but for the price it wasnt perfect.
In my opinion, the restaurant was very expensive for quality and quantity ($150 for 2 people) and the service was bad. We were still hungry afterwards. We had to go get our drinks, because the waitress never came (30 minutes later).
Reservation for 6:30 p.m.; brightness as if we were going to dinner Service: the waitress doesnt know where the lamb comes from... she comes back to us with the origin: New Zealand and says it must be better [than in Quebec]. And she also mentions that it s her favorite dish without knowing what it contains! Menu: lots of spelling mistakes when leaving... We take a starter for $26, namely the Chanterelles puff pastry + foie gras. The plate arrives: no presence of foie gras, no taste of foie gras but a nice runny yellow egg if found (no mention on the menu). The waitress asks us if we like it, we mention that it doesnt taste like foie gras... she replies it might be in the sauce... that must be it. We also had the beef tataki starter; excellent taste but presence of nerves in the meat the waitress told us that the house specialties were meat and pasta. Wine: ask the waitress about her suggestion of wine to accompany our starters she doesn t know anything about it! And answers me, after I have tasted a wine, does that suit you, my dear?! MY BEAUTIFUL seriously I didn t go buy stockings at Tigre Géanté!! We left before ordering the main course.
Absolutely delicious!!! The burata, the octopus, the beef tartare, the fries were all exceptional We will definitely return!
Congratulations
Excellent food, service too fast and extremely noisy (difficult to hear yourself speaking with the person in front of us).
the prices are exaggerated. the regular menu
Just a culinary experience. And the service is impeccable. Great atmosphere
Great service and tasty food. Large portion and good selection of Quebec microbrewery beers. Very nice place but a little noisy.
The place is great. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, I had been wanting to go there for a while and we had my work Christmas party at this place. The decor is fabulous and very fashionable. The chairs and benches are very comfortable. The food... I dont know if its worth talking about because its disgusting! I had it so good, I would go back 100%. The service is exemplary and the waitresses are very nice. I tried the poultry gnocchi... I still cant believe how excellent it was. For someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I was very surprised by the menu. The mocktail I recommend is the Fresh Tonic Virgin. As for prices, all I have to say is that you shouldnt expect a small bill... Watch out, students.
Everything was excellent, but the music was too loud Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator to go up to the 3rd floor
Favorite for me. Impeccable service Excellent meal This is truly the best restaurant Ive been to in a long time.
Impeccable service and food that tastes heavenly, Great evening
It was a discovery, I liked seeing the complicity of the cooks behind the counter. The staff was very kind and warm I greet Kevin our server. I was charmed by this magnificent restaurant. The duck breast was exquisite. I plan to go back
First time at Esmond last night and I simply LOVED it! The food was divine, the decor was magnificent and the atmosphere very pleasant! I recommend!
The strong point of this restaurant, its starters!! The bang bang octopus and frog legs are incredible! The octopus is not rubbery unlike many places. The sauce that accompanies the thighs is a perfect tangy butter. My only regret is not having had bread to clean my plate. For the main courses, the people who had the walleye were very satisfied. Those who chose the steak and fries were disappointed. The meat was tough but the fries were good. For my part, I had the lobster and shrimp tagliatelle. The dominant taste was that of parmesan, followed by the smokiness of the bacon pieces, which is surprising for a dish that contains lobster. Its the taste of the lobster that should have dominated this dish in my opinion. On the other hand, the cooking of the pasta and shrimp was perfect. The lobster was slightly overcooked but still very good. The drinks.... The reds offered by the glass were disappointing. I would have preferred to pay $2 more per glass for a better selection. Cocktails are like a roll of the dice. Some liked it, others didnt. My ungamousse cocktail only tasted like limoncello. I didnt spot the taste of ungava gin in this cocktail. So I was disappointed. Again, I would have preferred to pay more for a better experience. In summary, according to my recent visit, I recommend this restaurant but choose a good beer with 2 or 3 starters without a main course and bring a small cushion for your buttocks because the whole group had sore behinds at the end of the meal. Its a nice place with very nice servers!
Excellent atmosphere Excellent food
Very good meal, great service from Pénélope and what can I say about the mojito!!!! It should be on the menu so good
Excellent experience. After 15 minutes at the bar, we feel like regulars. We would visit more often if it were a little less expensive. We will make the detour on special occasions.
Great service, I tried the tagliatelle carbonara bourgots the best pasta I have eaten in a long time.
The menu is great. On the other hand, my brick of pudding was overcooked. The sweetbreads tasted like they were fried. The bang bang octopus was really up to par. The restaurant is super beautiful.
Our first visit to Esmond: great experience all round! Impeccable service, exquisite food, super beautiful restaurant. Beautiful harmony of flavors and textures - a lot of work in each component of the dishes. Everything is homemade and you can taste it! Favorite for the bang-bang octopus cooked to perfection - it melts in your mouth! Definitely among the best restaurants in Granby.
Very good restaurant! A little expensive for a dinner, but very good, nice atmosphere.
The service and food are very good, the cocktails are excellent! We enjoyed our evening with friends!
Great evening and great servers!
The sweetbreads much too salty, the steak also too salty, poor combination of sauces and spices. No straws for our drinks because they are back order .
Wheelchair accessibility: Assesseur Parking space
Its not bad. But the dishes are more beautiful than good. We waited a good 15 minutes for the waiter to come and greet us at the table, not that he was very busy, but he was chatting about trips with two customers. The place is superb, the dishes magnificent. It could be great. But I find that the combination of flavors is not always harmonious and the service could be better.
Nestled, tasty, impeccable service!
Really, truly extraordinary food, delicious and sophisticated. We come back to it often. And the staff, it ticks!
Its always perfection and a beautiful atmosphere every time. The staff is dynamic and very courteous
A little expensive but worth it
For its creative and exquisite food. For its wide choice of wine For the professionalism of the servers (the manager a little stiff) For its festive atmosphere (lively music, conversation, bistro table, bar, etc.)
Extremely disappointed. To begin with, I am not a locator guide who tends to give 1 or 2 stars. But in this case, I dont really have a choice. Firstly, the dishes are quite ordinary. My partner had the octopus starter. A tiny piece of octopus on a huge (be careful!) ham loaf. But the worst thing is that it was no longer a bread because we are looking for ham. In any case, were going to say it, the pairing of the dish between the octopus which is high-end and the ham (served in a lunch restaurant) is ordinary. The height of it, $18 for the dish. Im not even talking about the overcooked scoter when we asked for rare. A very promising dish with blue cheese but unfortunately the taste is completely taken away with a pool of brown sauce (which is not distinguishable at all) stuffed with anise which both masks the taste of the meat and brings out the blue like a common Philadelphia. All this served on a commercial type polenta, Aurora makes them just as good. The tomato sauce in my starters tasted exactly the same as Campbells tomato soup but slightly pimped up. And I know what Im talking about, I was a boarder in the 90s at school, Im an expert on Campbells soup (which I hate, by the way). In short, there is no research into flavors, it announces gastronomy but the dishes are simply arranged with quality products (or not) and put together on the plate. In terms of service, although the waitress is often at our table, a question about the wine list, quite simple, like its SAQ products or private import, was enough to have one: the taste is correct. The wine list was really good, its a shame not to have someone capable of selling it. The service was not very cheerful and the kitchen table transit was quite long while being rushed because our table was reserved at 8 p.m. In short, we waited for our dishes to eat quickly. All this for around $200. Completely overwhelmed. I have eaten in several restaurants (my reviews as proof) and for $120 at Charlotte or Gusto, you eat eight times better with local, friendly service tinged with passion for the products. We tried it, now we know.
We loved it as usual. Thank you Nicolas for the excellent service and thank you to the whole team for the top quality restaurant!
The dishes were truly delicious! Ill definitely go back next time Im in the area.
If you want to try good food, make a reservation at this restaurant
Varied menu and steak fries is the favorite dish. The desserts are very generous
Unfortunately bad experience for us. Bad service, we opted for the carbonara and it was not edible, I had to return the plate. Funny made, with egg noodles and a ton of parmesan. Too bad, we had heard good comments though.
We ate very well, excellent service. The only downside is that we were a group of around twenty and were divided between two tables, back-to-back.
This is an upscale restaurant. The food is very expensive, the service is long and there is a bistro bar style atmosphere. But the food is very good. What special dishes for someone who has never eaten in a restaurant like this.
Disappointed with the flavors considering the price spent at this restaurant. Good cocktails for a 5 to 7 though.
Excellent food and warm atmosphere.
Simply delicious, perfect ambiance. Just GO!
The atmosphere, the location, the decor, the quality of the welcome, the dishes, everything in fact
Nice atmosphere, great food, great service!! I will definitely go back!!
The food is excellent and the atmosphere is great.
Eat well but too noisy
Great atmosphere, good service and excellent food!!
Beautiful warm atmosphere! Exceptional service! And very good menu choice! I loved the pork dumpling starter and the filet mignon meal! Thanks to the whole team!
Delicious, a little expensive but worth going there to spoil your taste buds
Satisfied with the decor and the atmosphere, but most importantly, the food I dont think the prices are justified, so good but nothing more. Still a place to visit.
A very beautiful place! We had a starter of salmon tartare and pork dumplings and a main course of duck and pasta ragout. Everything was really very good! No regrets in our choices! (The duck served with gnocchi was one of the best things I have ever eaten!) Very good service too :)
I loved the beef tab! The service is impeccable and the place is very comfortable!
Good food, beautiful presentation, good portion, average choice of desserts, a nice 4 out of 5 plus congratulations for the atmosphere, the good service and to the chef for the quality of his dishes
Excellent food
Always excellent, no matter the menu choice!
Super good
Affordable cuisine but VERY original and full of flavor
Loved
The food is excellent, we were served very well by our waitress, who was beautifully appointed, however I found the music a little too loud! I recommend this restaurant!
Food ok but music too loud, we had to speak very loudly.
Warm atmosphere, impeccable service and to finish, the signature dishes and cocktails are excellent and the flavors totally decadent!
Very good food!
Very good restaurant. Excellent service. Variety on the menu. Succulent dishes.
A very beautiful restaurant, renovated industrial style, which has a welcoming atmosphere. Exceptional service. The food was delicious and they offer an original menu. Highly recommended if you are looking for high-end cuisine in Granby.
Its delicious
Solid
Beautiful place, the arrangement of the tables and the garage doors create a beautiful atmosphere. The starters were excellent, beef tartar and bean salad. After the starters the main dishes were disappointing on the other hand, the steak frittes is a steak frittes, it was missing the little extra like some mushrooms or vegetables, not a pan fried just a little one on the side to add flavors to the plate. The fries with parmesan and lime were good. the scallop medallions/cake: the accompaniment of small onions not enough varieties of tastes yet. Im not impressed and not completely disappointed. 3/5
Great
It was delicious! Impeccable, attentive and friendly service, delicious dishes (I highly recommend the burrata) What more can I say! A superb restaurant!
Nice bistro in the heart of Granby and located on the top floor of a building (atypical but very successful!). The place is well decorated and the service attentive. In terms of food, we get comforting bistronomic dishes (black pudding, lamb shank, etc.). Its good (some dishes are more wow than others) and plentiful. The parmesan fries are particularly good. Were going back there with friends.
The food is excellent and the atmosphere, I loved it, I recommend it to everyone. Well done!
Superb place where you are taken care of
Excellent dishes, great service, original and pleasant place
New cuisine and original recipes from the chef. Several price ranges. Which allows you to try it without breaking the bank.
One of the best forks in Granby.
Good food in the region
Very good cute little girl
Good choice of meals and even for vegetables, expensive desserts on the other hand! $13 for a very small portion. Delicious sangria! Worth the detour!
We loved our experience. The service and food were flawless. To do again for sure.
Very nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere, more than excellent food
Very good! Good service, nice atmosphere. Prices within the norms for this type of restaurant. Recommended!!!
This lunchtime the zucchini carpaccio was delicious.
Exceptional experience! The menu is a real treat and the service impeccable. Recommended
Too expensive for the quality of the food.
Beautiful decor, good service, tasty cuisine and professional people. I recommend.
A team that obviously knows what it is doing: courteous and efficient service, tasty cuisine served in piping hot dishes, it is beautiful to see this level of catering in Granby. Excellent value for money for the lunch menu.
Warm welcome, good food, great atmosphere.
Very good, accessible and very tasteful food!
I had the black pudding, cassoulet, merguez, fried egg, chorizo. Absolutely delicious. My friends also generally liked it, although the younger ones would have liked a less complicated/refined menu option. Beautiful decor and good service!
By far the best restaurant in Granby!
Great place, nice atmosphere!! Very competent, courteous and friendly staff. We recommend it loud and clear.
The first experience was not an exception. Everything was super good on our 2nd visit. The flavors, the portions, the service. 5 stars. You are doing a great job!
Nice industrial atmosphere. Fresh and original cuisine
For a truly perfect evening..... A treat.....
Great food
Delicious. Really fun for business dinners.
Really nice atmosphere and delicious food.
Impeccable quality of service. Quality food. Great drink. Very beautiful decor in a former industrial site. I recommend it. Outing as a couple or with friends.
Excellent food and service ....Price accordingly...dont forget your wallet...
Delicious food but too expensive especially the wines are overpriced. Ive had better for less.
Great cocktail menu and great food
Wow !
Trendy restaurant .
Quality and varied menu, impeccable service!
very good good service and nice atmosphere
Excellent!!
The tofu poke bowl is AMAZING!!
The lunch tartare, a pure delight!
Quality at a price and the price is right, however, when its full, it becomes noisy and not very relaxing
Beautiful industrial decor, gigantic windows on the third floor, but it feels like a 6th floor. To discover!
