Restaurant Le St-Antoine Ste-Flore in Grand-Mère

Several years ago, we went to this restaurant almost once a month. We decided to go back but were disappointed. The staff is courteous as usual, the food is good, but nothing more. Its not worth the price we pay. We have discovered much better restaurants since then, for less money. But personally, charging me $2 for each roll, without warning me that its an extra, I find it a little insulting, especially when you paid $40 for your plate. (It seems that it is written on the menu, but neither me nor my girlfriend saw it). Its sad, because we just remember that from our experience... not for the extra $2-4, but for the principle.

I went there with family. It was my first time at this restaurant, both in Ste-Flore and Trois-Rivières. We started with a starter of brie fondue served with apple sauce. I was expecting a bit of a classic fondant with the apple sauce, but it was more like a Fondue Parmesan-style breaded brie. I found that the breading masked the subtle flavor of the brie. We were also offered hot bread, which I took, but was disappointed with the taste. A bread without really the taste of bread, a dry and hard crust, it looked like a ball of bread that was put in the center of pizzas at a certain time. For the main meal, we chose the poultry supreme with pepper sauce.... As for the taste, excellent. The sauce was very good and the chicken was well cooked and juicy. However, I found that the chicken portion lacked a little generosity. My partner opted for the pasta carbonara. As far as she was concerned, the portion was very generous. She didnt eat it all and the taste was excellent. My son chose the walleye fillet. According to him it was very good. We didnt have dessert because we rarely have it. As for the server, A1. Kind, generous, available and very cheerful. He loves his job and it shows!

A guaranteed favorite. Attentive waiter, heated terrace. Good music. Tasty meal. Delight from starter to dessert! Bring your own wine.

Incontournable en Mauricie!! Leur cuisine raffinée (ils offrent aussi des options végé!!) , le service est chaleureux et efficace. La configuration du restaurant offre une ambiance feutrée et confortable. Essayer leur terrasse chauffée jusqu en octobre est un must!! En plus, c est un « apportez votre vin ». Définitivement notre resto préféré!

Disappointing regarding the prices. 3 of the tables dhôtes had no price in the menu (to be determined) and additional extras for certain table dhôte items not specified when ordering. The dishes did not reflect the cost. Im really sorry but I wont go back.

Good food, nice atmosphere, a little noisy, but I am disappointed with the price for the meals ordered, several extras are added to the bill even if we choose the table dhôtes, e.g.: we are offered bread with the soup, and we are not informed of the extra for this one. I dont think Ill go back there soon.

The setting is very pretty. Very good dishes (we had mussels and chicken supreme) although a little expensive. Excellent service even if it was a bit long. What is a shame is that the servers do not ask customers to lower the volume a little when it is too loud (shouting, shouting). We were inside and it was cacophonous for a good part of the meal.

This restaurant recommended to us by locals was a wonderful surprise. Its really cute and if you eat on the terrace (covered and equipped with stoves and braziers) also very romantic. The food is excellent, the dishes are refined and studied. The staff is very professional but at the same time friendly and welcoming. A peculiarity, they only serve water to drink, you have to bring the wine, if you need it they will show you where to buy it. The prices are fair for the type of cuisine and the high quality. It is good to book.

We came to eat on Friday evening as a group and we really appreciated the service, a little long of course, but very pleasant. We were especially disappointed by the considerably high noise in the loft above which is reserved for the group: it was cacophonous. Above all, I was really disappointed with the meal for the price paid regarding the taste and presentation. I dont know where to start with the sausage pizza which lacks finesse! For the price, I was really expecting to have a pizza style pizza in the oven with a dough that was both tender and crispy as well as sausage meat seasoned with herbs (and not cut into slices barely grilled). Cooking the pasta was nice though. For the chicken breast, we would have expected more than 3 potatoes and a presentation proportionate to the size of the plate. Lets say that I expected a different experience than this one...!

Everything is almost perfect. Food and service is great. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired because we are close to each other so there is a lack of privacy.

Very good service, it took a little time to receive our plates however it was a Saturday evening and there were quite a few people so I cant blame the staff. The meal was excellent, the prices are a little high on some plates but no regrets when leaving the restaurant, we are full so I have nothing to say.

To begin with, with the exception of 1 server, the others had the mask under their chin. I must point out that the waitresses were compliant. We asked that they adjust their mask, to no avail . So, when we leave, we are no longer comfortable and remain on our grades. Ordinary and overcooked food (golden). In short, our 2nd experience of 6 in this restaurant is unfortunately the last.

Overall, we liked it, the service was very good but we found that it lacked refinement for a restaurant with this menu and these prices. For example, the very ordinary bread was served with butter in a plastic container, same comment for the milk and sugar which accompanied the coffee, and the paper napkins... Its small things that make the difference.

Warm and fair service! Bravo for the kindness of our waitress! However, I was disappointed by the food. Beef tartare seriously lacks a good oummff!! Taste, spice, but something please!! Land and sea plate, 3 half baby potatoes soaked in butter, in a plate for $56, Im not sure. The pepper sauce, didnt taste like pepper at all and very oily the shrimp and filet mignon were cooked PERFECTLY!! NEEDS TO BE SAYED!! the butter which was to accompany the shrimp had no garlic, no salt, no taste. Great disappointment, knowing the reputation you have!!

3 stars and one more for simply exceptional service! Food wise, a little disappointed because everything lacks refinement. For example, divine filet mignon but accompanied by 3 roasted baby potatoes and salad with grated carrots in a very ordinary and 80s bowl; ordinary parmesan fondue, very commercial, but the salad that accompanies them is superb and generous; fillet of walleye and generous cashew nut pasta, delicious, but also accompanied by salad and grated carrots. For the high price of the plates and the reputation, I expected roasted seasonal vegetables or something sophisticated and tasty, not incidental accompaniments. Bringing your own wine is a plus at this price.

Very nice place, and we ate very well...the only drawback, the tables were too small for the size of the plates.

The food is excellent, but the service is only ok. My friend was told that we could dilute her sauce to reduce the taste of dijon mustard, even though she doesnt like it at all and it was never mentioned in the description of the dish. Very ordinary response! At the prices of the dishes, a minimum would have been to offer a replacement, in my opinion, and this is generally the experience I have elsewhere.
