The ham was okay, the bacon and sausage were some of the worst we've ever had. The sausage was watery and had no flavor. The bacon just tasted like a slice of pork, there was no smoke or curing flavor, no salt, it was pretty bad for bacon. The other food was okay, nothing spectacular. There was up charges for things like shredded hash browns and rye toast, which the waitress never mentioned to us when ordering, and then she tried to not give us a copy of the bill at the end, just asking us for money, I've never not been handed my bill at the end of a meal before. Overall, not a great experience, no reason to go back.
The food was good but the customer service was amazing! Had Julia as our waitress and she was such a sweetheart, very kind, compassionate and took extremely good care of us! Will definitely be going back :)
I enjoyed my first ever experience at Majors. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. It felt like an old school restaurant, without any compromise. The pricing was very reasonable. I hope to return!
This was our first time eating at the “new” location and the food was just as good as it was many years ago. Service was fast, our server was friendly enough and it was very moderately priced for the portions. We will be back!
Decided to order in tonight for dinner. Heard great things about this restaurant, thought we’d try it out. But I would like to say, very disappointed and actually upset. The food arrived ice cold. Like they just grabbed the potatoes and turkey out of the fridge. And the paid extra for gravy. Which I only got like a tablespoon of gravy. Not happy, will not be recommending. Must’ve gotten the wrong person of shift.
Excellent atmosphere. Love the new look and location Disappointed in the food, though. I had the lasagna. It was microwaved and looked like it had been in the freezer prior. Sad. My dinner mate had a GP burger. You can't go wrong with that burger.
I really wanted to love Major's restaurant. My wife and I even dined there twice. Both times were not good experiences. The entrees we ordered both times were missing things stated to be on the dish. When meal is described on menu with certain ingredients and you don't get half of them, that's a problem. The service has been okay but the food is inconsistent and never as described. When a person pays $20. For a rueben sandwich and it has two slices of corned beef, well there's an old restaurant saying "if you can't do it right, don't do it at all" They definitely have a cook problem, and hopefully they can get some help in the kitchen.
I've been in GP 9 years and can't believe I've never eaten here🤯🤯. I was missing a home cooked restaurant style meal like you get everywhere in Newfoundland. Majors did NOT DISAPPOINT!! The home made fries and gravy were amazing! Portions are great, both my husband and I couldn't finish the fries.

Just like grandmas house
There is no option other than pork. They don t have turkey sausage or any other meat option so, I had to take vegetarian Benedict. The hash browns were so bland. Seems like boiled hash browns. Never going there again.

Majors is a nice family restaurant, very busy and some tasty options. I would have done 5 star however... hasbrowns werent cooked and it appeared like the potatoes werent fully cleaned as the skin on the hasbrowns had a gritty almost dirt like. The ham on the Eggs Benedict was flavorless and quite fatty. Just a note, the perogies have ham and bacon inside. We werent aware they had that inside at the time of ordering. It is a nice place, just a few things to improve on in my opinion.
Not the same place it used to be. Not a bit. I will be discontinuing my patronage. Ive wasted my money and time on their lunch sandwiches too many times. Too often Ive had meat in my sandwich thats going bad, with a sour taste. Not to mention the gristle and fat are annoying too. In every case, Ive been at minimum, at least a day before the best before date. I dont go to the restaurant anymore, as the same care is put into the plated meals as well. You lost a customer Majors. Sorry, not sorry

Its gone downhill. We used to come here all the time when visiting GP and I dont think we will be back. Messed up orders. Bland food. Disappointed because it was our favourite breakfast place in town.

I really enjoy Majors! Anytime Ive ever visited theyve served quality home-cooked meals with large serving sizes. Great food and great value. The service is great and always very friendly and helpful. On my regular visit list for sure!

I went there with my husband and another family to celebrate his birthday. It was fun. I love the atmosphere and also the fact that everyone could feel comfortable there.

Friday night, 6:15pm. Service was good, server was friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered appetizer and two sandwiches (not all for me of course). Appetizer came out 10-15 mins after ordering. Main came out shortly after last bite of appy was finished. Food was fresh and hot. Portion size was great. Flavour of food did not disappoint. Only criticism was the teriyaki chicken burger. Instead of one big chicken breast there were three smaller pieces. It made it impossible to eat the burger with hands as one piece would slip out. Only burger I had to fork and knife. Aside from that everything was wonderful. Keep up the good work.
A clean home style restaurant with decent service. The best place to get a clubhouse and the best gravy in town! Dont stop there. You should also have a piece of pie warmed up with a scoop of ice cream. Highly recommend this locally owned restaurant for good homestyle cooking at a very reasonable price.

My food was mediocre at best. The hash browns were merely potatoes, no browning at all. My eggs Benedict was cold. The waitress came to get drink orders, heard coffee from 3, ignored the 4th person, who doesnt drink coffee and left. My husband had an omelette which he really enjoyed. So, hit or miss. Food

This is definitely a great place for breakfast/brunch. Theyre food has a great homemade feeling too it. Lovely thick cut back and homemade hashbrowns.

Great place when you want food that tastes like it was made at home. My highlight was the Caesar salad, the croutons were crisp but you could stab them with a fork and the whole meal tasted very fresh and like my mom made it for me. It was very busy when I went and I was still happy with the service.

I ordered meat loaf and received a giant unseasoned ground meat ball that was undercooked with tomato paste on it. Service was HORRIBLE. This place isn t cheap either.

Great stop for Breakfast or Lunch!
Server could have checked on us at least I once, even though we didnt need coffee refills, we did want dessert and had to track her down to other it and the restaurant had only like 3 other tables at the time. Otherwise, always great food and GREAT cherry cheesecake!
Pricy
Majors has great food, home style cooking, good portions and prices that dont break the bank. The decor is simple with the focus being on good food and patrons appreciate that. A very good place to go. I have not been to the Paradise Inn location but am referring to their original location on Clairemont Rd.

One of my business associates planned a breakfast meeting here. I have worked in this area many times over that last 15 years and had never heard of it. Ok let s try it, at first the biggest sign you see is Majors Rentals ..... what ??? Is this the right place. Easy to find right on 100 st with lots of parking. I could see the other company pick up trucks parked so this must be it. Very nice and retro inside with chalk board menus on the wall.
Beef dip is amazing so good, and their pie yum
My friend ordered the majors special and I the truckers breakfast. My pancakes were uncooked/ raw dough as seen in the pictures. I did not realize until I was half through one. The cashier did give me a $3.95 discount. Still majorly dissapointed.

We waited for almost 1hr, got barely an Apology for the delay caused by the Order not going through to the Kitchen according to the Waitress. No discounts or reimbursements of any Kind. Staff was not very friendly and the Food is cheap and not good at all.
You get good value for your money
Food was amazing!!! I had the grilled chicken burger with fries and an apple pie, plus mozza sticks as an appie. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service could be better, but not really anything bad. Will definitely come again to try out the breakfast!

I got the eggs Benedict this morning and my hash-browns were barely cooked. They were mush when bitten into, my hollandaise sauce had an odd taste to it. I love eggs Benedict and I ve never been so disappointed in my order from anywhere else I ve eaten. My sausage on my sandwich also was undercooked as well as the side of sausage with my partners meal. Heard very good things about this place but definitely won t be ordering from here again. All around big disappointment.

Went for breakfast with my toddler. The waitress was awesome and the food felt like a good home cooked breakfast! Bacon was super thick and sooo good.
Loved this place! It was just like a diner from my childhood with chairs at the counter, booths and plates that brought back a flood of memories!! The waitresses were smiling and friendly and the food was great! Next time I am in Grande Prairie, Ill be eating there again!! Food : 5/5

The food here was pretty good. The serving staff was friendly and the location was close to our hotel. Only complaint I had was that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Although I get that there is a recession right now and so the cost of food is higher, so that may be the reason why portion sizes were a bit small.

The three stars are primarily for the wait staff. The cleaning and cooking crew needs some work. The cabbage rolls sauce was canned tomatoe soup I believe. Pfft, thats like when I was poor growing up and my mom used ketchup on spaghetti. Not suitable for a restaurant. The cheese on the pizza wasnt melted although the dough was great. The fries were awesome but I think they are store bought. The crab stuffed mushrooms were soggy and flavorless. All you tasted was the pizza cheese on it. Like at least use a nice cheese, one like something aged. The tea was good haha. So was the gravy. The place wasnt very clean. Especially the arcade area. The foozball table had a whole sticky puddle of something laying in it haha. It obviously rained that soccer game. I wonder how old it was! Dust everywhere and garbage hiding in corners. I wouldnt go back unless someone else paid, I was drunk or out was free. Love the wait staff though.

My husband and I went for breakfast here last week. The service was so slow and the food was not good. I asked for my eggs soft and they were hard and the hollandaise sauce tasted so flowery that it made the whole meal taste disgusting. They never come around and ask how your food is or if you need anything else. This place used to be so good but it s definitely gone downhill and we probably won t be back .

No flavour whatsoever. Pork chop was dryer than wheat also no seasoning on it. Cubed hash browns no flavour just greasy. Do not recommend if you actually have a palate and taste buds. ****Definitely overpriced****

Homemade pies, local meats, local raised farm eggs and handmade dishes. A great mix of comfort food, Ukrainian food, Thai food and more. Staff was great, restaurant was clean and it felt like a locals best kept secret. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu has lots of selection for $10 a dish.

They had an off day this visit. Normally much better than it was this time. Whole table (3 people) orders were incorrect. And when brought to the attention of the server there was no apologies given. More over excuses were given. Not ok in my book. And we were one of 4 tables. So being swamped wasnt the case. Just a mess today will definitely go back and hope for a different outcome. If a second time is similar then I just wont return.

This place has a great layout for the servers to be efficient. Every time I go to lunch it is packed. Great value for your money. Food is always good and comes out hot. Try the Ukrainian meal.
Husband had the chicken tacos and said they were the best tacos hes had in awhile. The cheesecake is super delicious. Meal came really quick also.
