The food at Royal Curry Restaurant was exceptional, especially the Palak Chicken, which was so flavorful and authentic that it instantly reminded me of Punjab. The rich, aromatic flavors were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the experience truly enjoyable.
my disappointment with my recent experience at your restaurant on yesterday. this visit was far below the standards I have come to expect. First, the wait time was much longer than anticipated.i was waited 40 minute for my food to arrive. This excessive delay significantly detracted from my overall dining experience. Furthermore, the quality of the food did not meet the high standards I previously associated with your establishment. I ordered lamb curry it was just a bones, undercooked and poor taste. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but the combination of long waits and subpar food left me disappointed.
Can't speak for their dine in . But their take out is always a hit for us. My girlfriend and I enjoyed every meal so far and the staff has always been very nice and helpful. Would recommend for sure
The food was good but the service was what made it worth the money and also experience. The food was as authentic as it can get, the servers are very helpful and know how to take care of the guests. The ambience was average as there was loud music blaring when we arrived and was turned down only after we requested.
So I went there not knowing what to expect. At first the order was to go, but the generosity and kindness of the host convinced me to eat in. The servers and I think management made eye contact, smiled, and made me feel welcome. I asked for a traditional meal from India, and holy smokes was it good, not sure what it was but I could eat that everyday. The server responded intelligently to my questions that I had and when it came time to pay the bill, with the amount of food that was received, I was really surprised that it was so affordable. Last note, the vegetarian somas are incredible. I will be coming back. Thank you Royal Curry for a pleasant experience and delicious food.
I ordered a fish curry from you’ll today (Monday, May 13th) in the afternoon, it was a pickup order. When my husband opened eat some in the night he found this small plastic lid inside the fish curry container at the bottom. It was so shocking to see, what if anything else was there and you’ll haven’t checked it properly before filling the food in the container. I gave my kids to eat today too the fish curry, what if some insects or any sort of thing that can harm was inside??? How can be the staff so careless???? Looks like u just take the container and pour the curry without looking at it, u will not know if it’s clean or no too. So much disappointed. I’m expecting a clarification regarding this matter from Royal Curry.
We did dine in here in evening. they did not care about orders, they never checked that customer need anything else to eat or they received everything or not. Even garlic Naan(bread) are so hard to eat. We talked to the girl about that it is hard to eat. She did not apologise for that.
I really like curry, and in my opinion, this restaurant does a great job. I ordered a mango chicken curry dish and medium heat. It was spicy enough to take notice. I'm pretty certain I could handle hotter. If you like hot as in spicy food and are trying curry for the first time, a medium heat is a good starter point. It's hot enough if you can handle the heat to be pleasant but not so spicy if you only think you can handle it. The mango curry chicken is a sweet dish, and very pleasant to the palate. It was served with something like a tortilla that was crunchy and tasty on its own but came with a flavourful sauce. Well worth tje stop.
Very good Indian restaurant
Im not a very adventurous eater but I love Butter Chicken. Royal Curry makes some amazing Butter Chicken, rice and naan bread. I find myself wanting to drive to Grande Prairie just to go for lunch. I have been too full to get dessert but am excited to try the Gulab Jamun. Prices are surprisingly low, you cant find anywhere that fills you up for less.
The worst biryani I ever had in my life, its just saffron rice mixed with some chicken curry better they could have named it chicken curry rice or chily rice its red hot spicy with zero taste, the chefs really need to be trained so that they at least know what a biryani is, uter flop for a biryani lover
I love the tea of this place. Its the best. The foavours are awesome. Thank you neeru for the best tea in the city.
Food was delicious and portion size was generous. But staff looked like they were forced into labour. Odd sense of unhappiness. But worth trying the food though. 5/5 for food.
I ordered food from this restaurant an hour ago and even placed the order in advance, but unfortunately, I didnt receive my food on time. The delay was quite disappointing. Hopefully, they can work on improving their service speed in the future
I tried first time here at Royal Curry, had some snacks with my family and friends, Specially Soya Chaap was best.
Had an amazing date night with the wife. We both loved the food. We could barely walk out we were so stuffed. I was very surprised when the bill came, highly affordable, great food & awesome staff:) we will be going back fo sho!!
Me and my brother had lunch it was our first time here and the customer service and food was amazing. I really loved this place. I recommend everyone to go and check their food it s really delicious.
The staff do not care about customers. Busy in taking to each other. You have to get up and go give your own order.
We went there for dine in, the server was too good. We enjoyed the food. Will definately come again..!!!
Butter chicken is to yummy and staff is to good
This place is a gem, enjoy it while you can. If you are Canadian born and raised like me, start by ordering butter paneer masala (or paneer shahi) with beef buryani (rice) or chicken fried rice (way better than Chinese food CFR) and a few orders of Naan bread. Thatll get you off to a good start, your welcome. Thatll feed 4 adults for 40 bucks.
We were a group of 4 we travel from Edmonton for business trip The food was amazing. Balanced spice s, flavour everything fantastic. We tried goat curry, dal makhani, paneer mathi masala, ask for masala chaach you will definitely feel villages side in india. Thats will be our favourite place for future in GP. Definitely will be back Service is great notch server was good knowledgeable
Always good Always fresh
Before this restaurant used to be good food, but recently we experienced the same food become Teste -less i want to mention specifically their biryanis are not good anymore because last time we had 6 or six packs of biryani which was bad smell and sour we didnt expect that from them ! And also I found some hair on food.
Best kadahi paneer you can have in grande prairie.
Friendly attentive service, generous, delicious portions! Goat korma, lamb biriyani, goat bhuna, malai kofta, and garlic naan. Big chunks of meat and thick Spiced gravy
We ordered Malai Boti Tikka and Papri Chaat, and they both were really amazing. I love their staff, the girls are so welcoming and it feels like home. Will be definitely our go-to stop.
Smaller location so it reads like a diner when you enter but the service is friendly and fast, and the food is awesome Indian cuisine. The expansive menu caters to vegan/ vegetarian as well as carnivores. Perfect spice levels, great selection, the meats are good quality. This will become on of my go tos for dining in Grande Prairie. The fish pakora and the shrimp buryani are must-trys.
Good rod nature also
I just ordered fish pakora today and it was pick up. I really appreciate food qauality. It was sooo fresh and crispy. Thank you so much. Enjoyed too much
Consistent good food, my favourite Indian restaurant in Grande Prairie
My friends and I were excited to try this Indian restaurant in GP, but unfortunately, the food didnt live up to our expectations. The goat korma and chicken karahi lacked flavor and tasted like boiled meat mixed with pre-made gravy. However, the butter naan was a redeeming factor. While the ambiance and service were decent, the prices were a bit high. Overall, our experience was underwhelming, and we left feeling disappointed. With some improvements, this place could have great potential.
Been there 2ce with 2 different servers and they were both awesome at suggesting entrees that we had had not tried before. Very good food and very nice experience. Thankyou very much ladies.
Been there so many time. Best food and best service i got there. Highly recommended to go there with friends and family as well. Very friendly people and great environment.
Best place to get dinner. Traditional and delicious food. If you re thinking to get something nice for dinner, this is the place . Shout out to shanty super nice guy there
I never saw someone adding whole tamarind in a lamb biryani. Not sure why restaurants don t differentiate between hot and spicy . Hot comes with chilli (or chilli powder) and spicy comes with spices (masala). So, when I ordered medium spicy I thought I will get masala but I got more chilli .
Their dough stinks and rice
Amazing food, well seasoned and fairly price. We have been ordering food for all the events. My daughter loves pink drink they make sure to give her lassi with rose syrup that is not on their menu. Customer service is amazing, thats why we love to go back again and again. Highly recommended.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of veg options, since its Indian cuisine. Food
My husband and I treat ourselves to medium spice dal tadka with extra cilantro every few weeks. It s absolutely delicious!!! The consistency is perfect, the spices are on point and the taste is amAzing. It s a feel-good dish. We enjoy dipping tandoori oven baked butter naan. Thank you Royal Curry kitchen. You re the best in the West.
Best in Grande Prairie. Highly recommended. This is the only place which will come to my mind for Indian cuisine. 10 out of 10 . Megha s service was outstanding.
Good food!!
We went to this restaurant today. Ambiance was good. Food was also good. But I personally didn t liked the customer service from there . I felt they were rude to us . Moreover, they were super confused about the billing. We were there as 2 families. We had different orders of food. We clearly said the waitress when she came to take an order to take different order and make a separate receipt. Firstly she said okay . After we are done eating , at cash counter we had to explain multiple times regarding our billing which I felt very irritating.
I usually visit this restaurant. The food and atmosphere is good but this time i had the great customer service. The girl working on the floor was very nice and friendly.
Today I ordered noodle burger, it was so cold like taken from the fridge, and paper wrapped on it was so dirty ,it looks like the cook has cleaned hi hands with the paper , this is the first time i have thrown food in the garbage bin
This restaurant is best in town and having great service, good quantity and quality of food. Having less price than other restaurants Vegetarian options: This restaurant have lot of vegetarian options Parking: Easy and safe to park the cars
Such a good restaurant in grand prairie And food services are good and too much parking space and the girls standing in front are good behaviour
Taste was okey Order through online skip I used to eat aloat when I tried first time but now quality is getting worse noodle burger has tomato s that wasn t prep properly .
Enjoyed the food, all the meat was very tender, fresh naan bread. All very delicious. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options
Staff are friendly and the food is amazing. Portions are plenty big enough, I recomend getting the combo options if you dont want to take home left over. The staff are good at checking in and keeping you water full :) Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegitarian options
Must try Chicken Rogan Josh
I really love this place. I and my husband always go there whenever we are in grande prairie. Last time we visit there is a girl I don t know her name she suggest to eat methi malai Chaap. Omg it was so delicious . Thank you for the suggestion. Excited to visit again Vegetarian options: Methi Mlayi chaap my facourite
Food was good. Really need to work on customer service. 3 girls working but mostly busy talking among each other or using phone. Also, please learn to smile and atleast have the courtesy to ask if more water or how is the food.
Service and food is great!! I eat almost daily
Always great job by all staff everytime .
Very delicious food, service is great. Always provide best service. There dealing is awesome. Thanks royal curry for your service!!!! Food
Amazing food. The service was excellent and the server was friendly. It was a good night!
Staff is very nice and helpful. One can have the best delicious Indian food in the city.
Lots of Indian food in town, but this one is the best! They got good customer service, the girls at front are friendly and helpful. Keep it up guys Food : 5/5
Slowest service ever experienced. Took forever to serve the food despite ordering the food way before hand they took more than an hour to serve. Very disappointed!
Fish pakora is delicious
Royal Curry is delivering one of the best Indian food in town, their meals are delicious, theyre particularly generous with the food quantity and they serve an outstanding quality of various tender meat, nice flavoured rice and different naans. I truly enjoy it. I always order food delivery online through Royal Curry website and sometimes over the phone. Great people working in a great restaurant! Cheers, Karim
best Indian food
Best customer service, affordable and tasty food. The girl, who works at restaurant, she is really nice and polite. I like her service.
Ordered dinner from this location today. Specifically asked for less oil and medium spicy. Food was very spicy and also dal dhabba was full of oil. Totally opposite of what was requested.
We were very happy with the butter chicken combo today .can t wait to try some more authentic dishes!
Favourite Indian food spot in Grande Prairie. Lol my gf did find the butter chicken spicy as a word of caution for anyone who doesn t like any sort of spiciness in their food. I personally enjoyed it a lot tho.
This time I have to rate just a 3. Previous times flavors better, they might change chef. Service as well wasnt the best.
Amazing services and delicious food.
Delicious food and excellent service every time Ive been here
Tried indo chinese there.Great food, quick service. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The best Indian restaurant in the city.
We (4 people ) went there for dining. Gurl at the front said u can t dine-in . It was 10:30 and store closes at 11 also one table was there already eating. Never going back!!!!
No dine in was allowed at 10:20pm while they closed at 11pm. The girl at front just refused to have dine in. It was really bad! Highly Dissatisfied:\
Really loved the food. Great customer service.
Highly recommended place. Best ever customer service and very kind and humble staff. Delicious food as well..!!
Best food in town
Food was delicious and we received exceptional service. We left feeling fully satisfied and our trio still had leftovers to take home! We asked for various spice amounts in our order and everything was taken care of for us. Thank you so much!
Loved the food
The takeout service is really bad. The quantity of product was mot worth the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and they did not put even single sauce. There was more salad than the actual appetizer.
Whenever I get a chance I visit them, One of the best place for Indian punjabi food
The overall experience was ok. I had ordered Dahi Bhalla which was very simple. The did not put even onions or sev in the toppings. Chole bhatture was good. My friend had ordered chilli chicken and he was very disappointed with the taste. Though they are one of the very few Indian restaurant in GP, should improve a lot.
This is what they call Pakora . It was totally uncook from inside as i also had same experiences before but i wrote it today. Worst indian restaurant i had seen in my life and prices are sky high compared to quality of food . Never ever go to this place ( Starve but don t try their food )
Ordered Shahi Paneer today with tandoori roti, the tandoori roti was so bad like they were a day old and was reheated which probably was true.
Ordered a vegetarian combo special and it was pretty good value for $15. I got the paneer karahi, rice and naan. The karahi curry was nice and spicy and the naan was good too!
Worst atmosphere. The Owner don t know how to talk. Saying abusive words and language in front of customers in Punjabi. Omg No shame!
Best atmosphere and fresh food and delicious sweet. Amazing restaurant in town.
Ordered for take out. Really good portion sizes, ordered way too much naan though, good to know how much 1 order comes with. Chana samosa and butter chicken were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked tender chicken. Lots of flavour, with a spicy kick
Decent food and they have upgraded their seating which is good
Best indian food
Today, came from Ontario and visted Indian restaurant after looking reviews on google but food service was horrible had to wait longer even more than expected. We were expecting really authentic Indian food and it was really horrible, frozen food and waste of money and time. Never suggest anybody.
Service was quick and very friendly. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend and come again. Vegetarian options: Lots of selection
Food was great, service not so much.
Food was so bad... even I didnt get one bite... really useless to spend mend
Taste Gazab, Bit Expensive, Veg & Non-Veg. But when you go in-person there, your order may take very long. When we went, we waited so long Vegetarian options: Lacha Parantha is awesome. Curries from them are very tasty but at the same time some may taste a bit more sweet. So ya, but overall.. almost everything tastes awesome
I visited this restaurant number of times, be careful if you are planning to dine in, they always change their dine in time.Loud noises, private parties even when customers spending their own time, zero management. I will never recommend anyone this restaurant to visit.
Its really awesome food, prices are reasonable.
I ate here and it was an overall amazing experience food was great and tasted like traditional Indian food! Definitely coming back!
One of the best Indian restaurant
Awesome food with new owner service is great
Nice food , all meats are halal . Didnt eat there but smells like they cook moghlai dishes here. Atmosphere
Worst experience, we did skip and it was sweets and chaat papri and it took 1 hour when i received and everything was spilled in the bag everywhere .how can someone eat sour confectionery . Lol and also new staff is giving attitude for no reason don t even know the basic manners how to talk to a customer on the phone
Vegetarian options: The fried rice was just lit. There are so many delicious vegetarian options available. Food : 5/5
Great experience awesome service delicious food authentic. Surprised to find this great of a restaurant in GP. When local ethnic folks flock you know it s good.
First time trying this place in Grande Prairie, the staff was super helpful with the choice of dishes to try!
Tried many times Great food always
Best Indian In Grande Prairie 5/5
We ordered in advance as we were in a hurry, by the time we came our table was set up, food came out in no time at all. Staff was friendly, food was so good.
Really recommend this place. We were in a hurry and ordered in advance, our table was set up nicely when we got there and they brought our food out in no time. Everything was so good and freshly made. Worth the stop.
Food is good. Service is OK. Only problem is loud panjabi songs. Any chance we can get little peace.!!! Food
Real amazing Indian food. Top choice of places to eat in Grande Praire. Would 100% recommend you try. Me and my friends keep coming back. Full of flavor. Choice of spice level. And great variety. Make sure to ask about the chutneys to go with your food Usually good waitresses. There is a couple that gives a vibe that they are not pleased to take your order and serve you, but most are the exact opposite and very kind. Its a must try for everyone. Vegetarian options: Perfect for vegetarians. Great options.
Unhygienic. Dirty food
Best indian dishes.
The food was really delicious .I would love to be there next time .
The food is delicious and the prices are decent
That s the quantity you get for 15$. I had this same dish in the restaurant and it was way much then. Now I ordered from DoorDash and this is what i get not even half. Why the difference?
Stay away from this place. They have horrendous hygeine (severe lack.of cleanliness) and the food is bland & utterly tasteless (not to mention, way too pricy for the absurdly high amount they charge for it). Almost all the five star reviews are from people of their own community. This is not an establishment that you want to eat at.
Hi there! All service is superb and i really love the food!! So tasty! I love Royal Curry Indian Cuisine I would suggest you to eat there! Food
Its always a great experience visiting here for delicious food. We almost tried everything from the menu and never got disappointment. Manpreet , Diksha, deepakshi and jasmeen they always serve with a smile and interact with very friendly behaviour.
Everything I tried was super delicious and the whole staff is doing an amazing job and are very welcoming specially megha, deepakshi , Diksha and jasmeen . I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Ordered through skip the dishes. Karai paneer gravy was stale and keema naan don t having any stuffing. It used to be my favourite restaurant. From last three times, I tried food the quality is getting worse.
We tried Jalebi at Royal Curry that did not taste good. Bad experience
Always great food service and Atmosphere best Indian food. Love that you can get Indian hot spicy
BEST Indian Food outside of India! We re eating vegetarian here regularly because it s just so good!! Dhanyavaad Vegetarian options: Plenty of yummy vegetarian options!!
Paneer Paronthe were amazingly delicious. You deserve a good meal after a long road trip
Food was delicious, service was great.
Just had aalu poori and it was really delicious . one of the best indian restaurant in town . Highly recommended.
I LOVE there food it was amazing I would rather royal curry over wok box.
Decent food for small town .
Very tasty food...reasonable price...for truckers , you can park ur truck & trailer on 97 street itself just ahead of the intersection & walk back to the restaurant. i parked opposite to long & mquoy musical shop. enjoy!
you have wait for your order, doesn t matter you order 20-30 minutes. advance
This is what they call Kulfi faluda!! seriously? it is frozen vanilla ice cream with frozen sevai on it.. couldn t even break it. Pathetic.. Never ordering anything anymore. Not even eating this..this will straight go to the garbage!!
awesome food man really really nice staff thank you
Awsome food and the staff is really nice. The service is excellent as well as the taste of food. I did my wedding reception here as the service was very prompt and everything was ready on time and served fresh. My husband and I come here atleast once a month
Taste is really great!!!!
Highly recommend
The food and the service both were very good.
You should be aware of giving the cutlery for giving the food
I ate fish dumplings today, it was very tasty, thanks to the maker and all the staff members !
Awesome food.... friendly staff highly recommend it..keep it up guys
Great Indian food!
Ridiculous service of that girl working up at front. When i went there for dine in, she was so rude to me. She didnt even handed the food over to me properly. She should learn some manners of how to talk to customers. Edit after response :- I am never going to come back again after that terrible service and this reply full of attitude.
5 stars! Long overdue review. I have been coming to Royal Curry for the last 18 months while travelling in Grande Prairie. (at least a dozen visits) Great flavours, spice level to your preference, lots of selection. Appetizers, entrée curry dishes, naans and chutneys are all fantastic. Clean restaurant, ample parking and great staff!
Good indian food Vegetarian options: Yes Parking: Yes Kid-friendliness: Yes
Had heard this had got better because of a new chef. Sorry, just didn t feel it was worth the money and not satisfying: No greeting upon entering. Not very good hosting. Menus slapped on the table by a man wearing a basketball hat! Food was overly spiced with heat. Okra wasn t cooked well. Coconut curry tasted sour. Sorry to say. Sheshu s Indian over on the west side is a better experience & food.
Really good experience and good hospitality mainly amrinder mam
I am giving 5star just because of Amreen. She is awesome. Very good customer service. I always visit this restaurant just because of her specially.
Fantastic dining experience, the food, atmosphere, staff, and over-all experience was well worth the 5 stars. I will be back Royal Curry and thank you so much! Keep up the great work!
Good food at reasonable prices. Flavour is good
Great food & Service
I just asked for no to less spicy and gave me too much spicy biryani and chicken curry that u cant barely eat...cant follow instructions.
This is the 2nd time Ive ordered from the highest reviewed restaurant for a specific cuisine in Grande Prairie and have been disappointed. Ive never had food so lacking in flavor in BC. Im not sure why food in Alberta is lacking spices and flavour. The butter chicken tastes like canned tomato soup. The Momos were not even edible, zero spices. The Indian food Ive had in the past is bursting with flavor and spice.
