Got a chocolate milkshake, but wasn t even close had the same consistency as just normal milk with foam and whip cream on top, tried to tell server, she proceeded to shout at us that she used 5 scoops of ice cream and it was very thick, and that we are wasting there food, then ignoring us the rest of meal, absolutely terrible service use to love eating here but definitely will never be back, don t bother go to prairie sushi the food is better and you won t have that kind of service

Service was great but the food was subpar. I do not recommend eating here unless it was half the cost. Noodle dishes were way too oily and salty.

The best sushi in Grande Prairie hands down. As authentic as you can get it so far from the ocean. Highly recommend, one of my favourite spots.

Was very busy took a while to be seated and to have our order taken. But after the rish calmed down was a good experience

Ive been eating here since they opened. I Love the food. Awlays good. But today I really noticed the grime!! I was disappointed with the waitress, not the usual lady, and my lord the bathroom and floors havent been cleaned in ages!! The windows and sills are disgusting. We enjoyed our soup that was slapped down in front of us by a waitress lacking personality but I think it will be a while before we go back. Someone needs to take some pride in this establishment again.

Very good sushi. The atmosphere is amazing, down to the simplest decoration. They have a huge menu but it is very easy to navigate. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese meal this is about as close as you can get anywhere in Canada.

Not bad, I had the beef ramen and dynamite sushi rolls. The sushi was very good, but the ramen was very plain and mediocre (couldve used more meat and veggies and less noodles)

Well I have to say I have had better from them. Serving sizes could be a bit bigger for what you pay. Wasnt bad but just not their best.

This restaurant has been our go-to place for japanese food cravings, however our experience today was upsetting. Its not about the foods (well except for the Sprite drink, tasted different at all). Anyway, our main concern is the tipping. Tipping is a CHOICE (correct me if I am wrong). Whenever we go out to eat, we try to help out after, for instance, sorting the dishes so it would be easier to be picked up by the staff. We made this a habit and act of courtesy. So my partner went ahead to pay the bill and he did not leave a tip. The staff saw the receipt and she hastily said What!? I have given you good service Clearly she was referring to the TIP. It was just akward at that time. There were times in the past wherein SOME of the staffs attitude were not that pleasant but we chose to ignore them, however, this tipping experience today is something to voice out.

If I could do 0 starts, I would. The sushi (just the raw fish) was awful, I dont think that was real Salmon. The fish eggs are weirdly sweet, and the service was awful. The sprite tasted terrible, almost soapy, and the water was in a dirty cup and also tasted off. The serving plates came coated with a film of I dont even know what

I am an out of town traveller, and as a half Japanese. This is a disgrace to Japanese cuisine. Price and portion/quality, unproportional in a bad way.

As a first time customer, I was very disappointed in the quality of food that I was provided. The salmon in the BC roll was incredibly dry. The rice on both rolls was sparse and dry as well - it definitely did not feel fresh. The takoyaki was much darker than normal but had okay flavour. Don t think I will eat here again

They don t know how to cook rolls here. Cause they fall apart. The taste is tolerable. Also, expensive.

Tuna is escolar (google it) salmon is smoked. The soya sauce is cheap chinese dark soya not kikkoman. They packed cold sushi with hot items putting the food at high risk for bacteria. Avoid this place , honestly you can get better sushi at the gas station

I wish I could give this zero stars. I ordered from them on skip. I used to eat there about two years ago so I didn t hesitate because their food used to be amazing. But it s definitely gone down hill and I couldn t be more disappointed with my order of $75 (I didn t get much by the way). their sushi is horrendous I had a hard time not gagging while eating it and I couldn t finish what I had ordered because of the taste. The salmon is awful, along with their rice being dry and tasteless. The scallops they have had this gross bitter taste. I also got their war wonton soup for around $18 well I got 6 wontons, 2 broccoli and 2 shrimp. This was a waste of food, money and it ruined my date night.

Great sushi

Loved the variety and creativity in the menu. The gyozas were yummy and could really tell the difference with these being homemade. Definitely good sushi!

Great place. The staff are friendly and efficient. My wife and I loved the tempura boat and it came in at a sweet price point for two.

I used to come here every weekend when I used to live in Gp with my friends. One thing that didnt change is the taste. It remains good throughout the year. The big difference I noticed is their menu. Not much picture display and the prices went up greatly specially their bento boxes. Id still come here tho.

I absolutely love this place. Ive been going since I was 8 years old. Sue is the best telling stories of her childhood, she knows me and my family and always makes sure to say hi. Though my most recent visit. The menu has changed templates, there is no longer pictures or colours in the menu, just a plain word document. Not very accessible to those with reading difficulties, or learning issues. Hopefully they add pictures again. Would be 5 stars otherwise

Quality has gone down since I ve last been there, presentation was good, restraunt was clean, good seating, prices are very high, family ate there recently, all got Stomach issues following day. Not very impressed.

Terrible food. The teriyaki chicken and sushi were mediocre at best, and it only got worse from there. The yakisoba and yakiudon both tasted like salty ketchup, it was completely inedible. We tried to call them multiple times, with no answer (they were still open for an hour). When we called back the next day, they said there was no manager to speak to, and hung up on us. I guess theres a reason I hadnt tried them sooner. Easily the worst Japanese food Ive had in multiple cities across multiple provinces; there are much better local businesses to support.

Usually I love my takeout order from Tokyo Ichiban. However, this time I am certainly not pleased. I ordered a chopped scallop roll and there was so much other stuff in the roll that I could barely find the scallop, let alone taste it. The pickled ginger was only sour. I could not taste ginger at all. I am very disappointed in what I was given versus what I am accustomed to and expected! I am curious as to if my local Tokyo has been changed hands. There are more things about my meal and the presentation that have changed, but I would much rather have scallops in my scallop roll rather than spicy sauce and cucumber and who knows what else.

Have been coming here for 16 years with my family! The staff have watched my kids grow up, I dont think there is another restaurant in town that I could say that about. Service is excellent, staff is great and the sushi is fantastic! Definitely would recommend!

With gentle Japanese music playing in the background, it created a pleasant experience from start to end. The food was also fantastic, carefully arranged and cooked to perfection!

There are times when I am here and I feel like I have escaped Grande Prairie. The service is excellent. The menu is big. You can go for a small bite to eat or for a celebration dinner. The best WorWonton soup in the city.

To be quite bland about my response inordered 70$ in food, from miso soup, dumplings, two kinds of roles, chicken chow, and a steak rice. But the simple splesure of my side order of sauce and the ginger and the Wasabi was not included. 10 percent off they said. I dontnwant ur 10npercebt I want my food I said. Nothing came about it. Ordered three rolls, one ice tea, and a watermelon boba. Food was okay, but the boba was discoloured, rock hard and no other word but nasty. Could not drink it at all.

We ate here recently and to be completely honest we were very disappointed. Not only its pricey...the only food thats good here is rhe tempura and fried rice. The sashimi/ sushi are not fresh! The seafood ( I tried salmon, tuna and shrimp) are FROZEN!!! The takoyaki taste old, greasy and is just like a plain fried dough. It also has a smell and after taste. It didnt even have toppings on it like a regular takoyaki.They also served us wings (fried dry hard wings) and they called it karaage! Ha! Karaage is supposed to be BONELESS!!! And made of chicken thigh! If they serve that in Japan or to a Japanese, they too will be disappointed. The chicken teriyaki is like boiled chicken breast (taste old too) and they just poured the sauce on top. The ramen my friend had also has a weird after taste. My husband said his steak is swimming with too much sauce. The waitress was super nice and friendly though. But we wont come back and eat here ever again.

If its possible for 0 stars I would do it. Reading the reviews people are saying the food is good here. Perhaps peoples expectations of food are lower in GP but the food here is not edible. Sushi - ordered 3 salmon, 3 tuna and 3 saba. The slices of fish were very small. You could tell the fish was not the freshest. The tuna particularly lacked flavour. The fish was not juicy or or tender. Its pretty disappointing. Shoyu Ramen - the noodles were not al dente as they should be. Ramen noodles should be slightly chewy. The broth was probably made from some sort of mix. It was a thin soup with very little flavour. The beef slices they provided were not tender and flavorless. Not worth $35 for all of this food.

FOOD : Sushi is mediocre , rice in the sushi was hard and cold , looks like the only prepare rice once in the morning. I would say it was gas station sushi at best. The two stars is because the beef short ribs was quite nice. SERVICE: Absolutely horrible service in my opinion on not one but three occasions. One time she put a sharp knife in front of our toddler.
