Ramona's Pizza & Social Hall in Grande Prairie

Usually my go-to spot, but my recent experience was disappointing. Paying $65 for two 12 pizzas is outrageous, especially when it takes an hour and 45 minutes to arrive and needs to be microwaved. the last few orders have also had mistakes.. will be switching it up now

Excellent food. The server was a lovely person but made many mistakes.. and then disappeared when we needed to leave to get back to work from our lunch break.

Delivery forgot the drinks, an our lemon pepper wings were lemon a like sugar or something pretty disappointing, called them to let them know the compensation was adding the 2 drinks onto our next order lol or refund for the 2 pops lol.

I only ordered take out but the Front desk girl was fantastic and friendly even when its busy hit and gross outside . Food was delicous as a first timer I will definitely be back perhaps to try dining in. Thank guys (sunday july21)

worst place i had ever visited. very bad customer service. i ordered online and the the pick up time 6:25pm i went there and they said order not ready yet i waited 35 min extra still food was not ready than i cancelled the order this is happen with me before just 2 weeks ago and last time they did the same thing and service is very low compared to any other restaurant in the city. and the servers realize they didn t pass my order to the kitchen. very poor and bad experience

Stopped In for a beer and some food while I waited for my tires to get swapped. I dont remember the servers name but she was fantastic. Awesome service, delicious food, great atmosphere. Will be back for sure!

5 girls working and 1 out 5 was actually doing something, rest were standing there talking. Had to go ask someone if we could order. No organization at all there and poor management.

Ordered 2 XL pizzas, but recieved 2 Large pizzas. Buffalo chicken pizza was excellent. Spicy Italian pizza was not bad. One of the best pizza places in Grande Prairie. Good location and very clean.

Honestly let down with the service, we have been going here for years and tonight was the worst yet. We were seated at a dirty table with previous food and dishes on it. Our food came out wrong and when we brought it up with the server, she brought out new food in a box and threw it on the table and stormed off . Not to mention we were the only ones in the restaurant, we were ignored and had to chase down our waitress for drinks as she rolled her eyes at us and took 15 min after asking for a drink to throw them at us. When we were leaving we were asked how our service was and we were honest with not ideal. And the server screamed rude at us and stormed off for being honest that the service was poor.

Let the stars speak for themselves!! I used to be able to eat here every day. Been eating here since they opened in the early 80s. It was my Favorite pizza in the world!! Writing this with a heavy heart. Unfortunately due to getting sub par pizza for the last several times and raising your prices while getting less pizza with almost no sauce. I have shared that I am not getting enough sauce with your staff several times to no avail. Raising your prices then getting rid of free medium. I understand raising prices but then decreasing your topping and now using inferior toppings. You can see the difference in the pics from others. Ones from four plus years ago is what the standard used to be. Ones from the last year is the current sad state it has become. Come on man you can see the difference in the pics. Undeniable difference. I have been going here since sam and Joanne opened and they always had standards and would never settle for bad products in pizza. I was there once when Joanne was fighting with the cheese supplier because the cheese wasnt good enough. You should ask your mom how to be great again. Im so sad the state this pizza joint has become. It used to be the best pizza ever. Hopefully it one day will be again.

I can t speak for the atmosphere, but the pizza we ordered tonight was terrible. Soggy and tasteless. The chicken is the worst kind of fake chicken that you can put on a pizza. Inedible. And the wings? Dried up, cut the roof of your mouth, and the smallest 8 pieces for $16. Don t waste your money.

ZERO stars needs to be an option. Idk who they hire but the entire team needs to be replaced. Placed an order for delivery and had to call back 2 hours later to ask if the driver was having troubles finding or place, just to find out she placed it for pick up... Not only were they not willing to replace now 2 hour old food but said if we still wanted the cold food we would get 50% off. Awful customer support and now Im warning everyone about them.

Ordered GP s finest on crispy crust, well the crust came not crispy and the pizza tasted horrible unfortunately! We couldn t stomach the meal, disappointed as the reviews seemed good for this pizza place.

Ordered 2 large for New Years Day supper. Spicy Italian was mediocre and the Ramonas Special was good. The service was horrible. No greeting at the door or front desk. The 2 staff members were visiting behind the bar and didnt come to the front for several minutes. When one of the girls came to the front desk, the Skip driver that was waiting long before me asked the server how much longer. Her response was Look, I dont cook the pizzas, it will be ready when theyre done!) Ramonas management, I am a long time supporter of your business. Please fire this staff member and hire front staff that helps your business. Not really wanting to come back with all the other options available in GP.

Food is getting worse as time goes on ,is really overpriced for what you get and they offer no senior discount, way to lose customers, good job

Today we went to town. We found a little restaurant that we d never been to before. We took a chance on an unknown and won big. Thanks RAMONA S..! Thanks for the great service, great portions and great food. We shared the best lunch we ve had in a long time. We left satisfied and content. We will be back.

Ramonas never ceases to disappoint. Got take out at their Resources location, but I would really like to dine in some evening. Nice atmosphere, great service.

Its pizza......... the pizza on the more oily side offered by pizzerias, but it tasted good. I managed 2 slices of pizza. The pizza left me feeling full and hungry at the same time. I did have some garlic fingers in addition to the pizza, and they were pretty good paired with their very thick donair sauce. Id recommend them over the pizza. Their salt and pepper wings with a side of Franks hot sauce was good, too.

Im never disappointed with Ramonas. Lots of menu options. Service is pretty good. Friendly and efficient staff. Sports bar atmosphere is not my fave, but Im OK with it as long as I can still talk to my table mates without yelling.

Food is phenomenal. Service is mediocre at best. There is one girl who is always nice though. That is the only reason Im giving the service 2 stars instead of 1. There is one girl in particular who is always rude. Her service on the phone and in the dining area are awful.

Food was awesome as usual, service was another story! We were only 2 people, we were dining in June 6th 2023, and the waitress didn t seem to have any time for us! She was too concerned about the regulars and paid no attention to us! I will not be going back! Such a shame since this used to be my favourite place to eat when I am craving a good baked spaghetti!

Open mic. night on Tuesdays at 6pm is ALWAYS great entertainment! Live music, a variety of musical talent and a family friendly environment! Ramona makes GREAT pizza, however I do not care for the majority of the food they serve and the service is only good by one of their few servers! All said its a nice way to be entertained while you eat with family friends or alone!

Food ordered at 6:58 on Ramona s website. Website estimates 7:20-7:25 pickup. I arrive at 7:15. I wait outside and come inside at 7:18. Ramona s website says my pizza is ready at 07:22. There is no hostess greeting for 10 minutes as first two, then 8 people arrive. Still no hostess. Finally hostess comes out to say there was a glitch in their app and my order JUST went 5 minutes ago and will need another 12-15 minutes. I ask for a manager, Jason comes out, apologizes but says they are just busy . Implies I could seek a refund from DoorDash as our conversation leads him to believe I ordered thru DoorDash. I actually ordered off Ramona s website and after making that clear he offers nothing for my trouble, no coupon, just an apology. Finally get my pizza at 07:44, ALMOST 30 minutes after pizza was ready on their website. Pizza was great! Customer service was terrible. Hostess answering phone calls in the middle of a conversation with a customer. No answers from manager. No attempt to make it right after problems and displeasure were clearly pointed out. Bad experience all around.

Got delivery, pizza showed up 2 hours after we ordered it! Unfortunately it was cooked and sat for probably 1.5 hours! The medium pizzas are the size of personal pizzas everywhere else! We have also decided to eat our flip flops instead of finishing the jaw workout! Maybe its different for dine in or take out!!!! I would not recommend

Placed a good sized order (4 Lrg pizza, 1 pasta, 3 sides) online shortly after they opened in the morning. Set delivery time for 4pm as I m on night shift and am bringing out to work for the crew. I specifically made a note saying Do not call me. I am on nights and sleeping. Call (my wifes number), she will come out to grab it Sure enough, at 3:25pm my phone is being spammed by the delivery guy saying he s outside. I told him to read the instructions and he had no idea about them. He said he d drive around for a bit and bring it back at 4pm. So then I called the restaurant, they answered and heard my complaint about it being early and him calling. She asked if I preferred if he knocked on the door. I said did you even read the instructions? No she didn t, nobody did. So I got it remade and set to deliver a little after 4 when I will wake up for work. I go back to sleep and then get spam called by the driver again at 4:00 after I explained everything to him and the store. My wife gets the pizza and it s luke warm. I call the restaurant again and they said they were still making the re-order for me. They had no idea this guy was just driving around with this hour old stale pizza. Talked to the manager lady and she was giving me **** for not calling instead of placing the order online. Couldn t refund because online orders are through a 3rd party service. Never again spending nearly 200 and tipping for that kind of service. Pizza is normally delicious, but poor service spoiled everything.

Food is amazing. Service sucks though. There is only one good server and Im not sure if she works there anymore. There is one server that has been there for a while and I dont know how she still has a job there. She is incredibly rude in person and on the phone. She talks down to customers and treats them as if they are stupid. No one ever pays attention to the front so you have to wait forever to be either seated or to pick up your order

waited for 40 minutes for a gluten-free cheese pizza, and a gluten-free cheese pizza with buffalo chicken on it. They brought us real pizzas with bacon on it and another pizza loaded up with different kinds of vegetables?? Terrible service. There was one server taking care of the entire dining room area. No manager or anything? Still had to pay for the drinks that we didn t finish. she laid them out in front of us and had no idea what to even say. Coeliac people get really sick eating flour. Explain that to your staff?? She said that she had no idea. How are you working at a pizza place that sells gluten-free and you don t know what gluten-free is. Sarah was incredibly rude. And incompetent. I ve never been treated like that at a restaurant before ever. Let alone waiting there for over a half hour, and didn t even offer anything, or to try and fix the order just walked away from us. We had nothing else to do, but grab our stuff and leave without eating. -10/10 Dietary restrictions: celiac

Veronica was our server today at Ramona s on resources. She was still in training but not that you could tell! Very friendly, attentive and our littlest loved her to pieces! Cheers for the great atmosphere and food. We will definitely be back!

What a fantastic place this is. They fit our group of over 60 kids are parents in with only 30mins notice. They took care of our kids orders with absolute expertise and our orders as well. They couldn t have been more helpful and organized with our orders and service. A+++ service by Kelsey and on top of all of this, they have the best pizza in GP. I recommend Donair Pizza.

Amazing pizza and great people. The lease I m on ordered pizza for the guys tonight, I mentioned to the guy going to pickup that I am gluten intolerant so couldn t eat the pizza they ordered. He called ahead and they threw in a gluten free pizza for free, made my night!

Horrible service. Ordered from skip (they manage their own delivery so this review has nothing to do with skip) First of all took about 5 minutes for my order to be confirmed (I order skip a lot and should take less than a minute to confirm order) then Apparently my order wasn t even entered through the system is what i was told on the phone. waited over an hour. had to call the store an was told they were just sending my order out because it was forgotten about. won t be ordering again. All the girl on the phone had to say was sorry wasn t offered any kinda of discount for next time so won t be ordering again. Have a child at home waiting to be fed so we re very disappointed. Will be 2 hours before our food gets here. (lasagna and cheese bread..didn t even order pizza)

First visit to this establishment and my daughter and I loved it. Pizza was great, staff were friendly and a great place to catch the hockey game! We will be sure to visit again!

Every time I eat here I either have diarrhea or extreme gas almost immediately after eating. Definitely the last time I eat anything from this joint or any Other location they have posted.

Hope everyone has time to wait 2 hours for 2 pizzas, Order at 5:30pm didn t see them till 7:30 pm they were cold and gross. The people that answered the phones were more then happy to get off the phone as fast as possible. Delivery drive was rude and ignorant definitely don t recommend anyone order delivery from the Ramona s social hall because you ll be disappointed with cold pizza if it didn t cost me so much I would ve just thrown them in the garbage

The pizza style is a pan pizza. We ordered The Boss and the Donair pizza. Between the 2, we liked the Donair pizza more. It was alright, kind of a mediocre pizza. More for take out than a sit down pizza. The boss pizzas topping was okay, but you cant really tell which meat youre biting on because of the cheese crust on top. The Donair pizza had very generous toppings, but theres nothing special about it either. Service was a bit slow, but I think they might just be understaffed just like any other place right now. Our server was very friendly. When we gave a negative feedback about our pizza, she offered us a discount, which we refused because we only wanted to give our feedback, thats all. If you like the kind of pizza with the crispy cheese crust on top that covers all the toppings, you might like this place more than we did. All in all, it was good, but I dont think we will go back. I been going to Ramonas pizza for years and years I love there pizza 99% of the time but last time I got pizza there both of the pizzas were super greasy and were wrong toppings on them both. Hoping that it was just a one off. Cuz usually it awesome pizza.

Ordered a gluten free pizza, came out to 24.20. I wouldnt mind the price if the amount of toppings was consistent with the other regular pizzas ordered. I really wanted to give them a good review but for the price and lack of toppings I could not. Went back a few weeks later, ate in and this time I must say the pizza was 5 out of 5.

Special ordered a pizza, didn t want Alfredo sauce which it came with and sub d it for pizza sauce as I have a mild allergy to most cream based sauces, basically I get super itchy and blotchy. I was assured it didn t have it at check out. I didn t check as I took the servers word on it, I know better. Got home fed the dog, took a bite as i was hungry and spit it out immediately. Ramona s was apologetic and is refunding the money via e-transfer. I ll update when I receive that. Pizza is in the garbage and I m off to get some Benadryl in case I break out. Garlic fingers look tasty though, sadly those were not for me. Edit: ended up getting the refund eventually after I stopped back into the store . They refunded me the money, and apologized. For the screw up. I m not sure I ll ever go back to two or three times. I ve actually had the pizza from here. I ve been very underwhelmed to say the least.

Pizza was tasty but it was way to expensive. Medium pizza is actually a small anywhere else and 3 of them cost $60. I cant couldnt believe it. I dont care how tasty your pizza is. The value for money here is atrocious.

This is my favorite pizza place in Grande Prairie. The pizza is always hot and the ingredients are tasty. You might pay a little more than for a chain, but in my opinion it is worth it.

Fast pickup friendly front staff tasty food

I really enjoy their pizza it is one of my favorites in town. I like how they have cauliflower crust and honestly that is the best alternative for gluten free. The reason it is not 5 stars is because when I picked it up it was cold. Easy fix just put it in the oven and still tasted good. I also like how they dont skimp out on the toppings.

Ordered 3 pizzas for the family. Waited 20 minutes after it was scheduled to arrive before calling. She says our order just went out. We live 5 minutes away. We wait another 20 minutes before calling again. She says the order actually isn t on its way because it was never made. Thankfully they were kind enough to offer to charge us full price and wait another 45 minutes. We had to decline the generous offer, as it was now already past the kids bedtime. Literally never going back. Good luck staying open with service like that.

I ordered 2 med pizzas at 4:55 pm said to pick up at 5:31 when I showed up they tell me that they are going to be another 15-20 minutes this is the second time this has happened I had stopped coming over a year ago thought I would try them out again well I guess you cant teach an old dog new tricks the service is horrible as well they cant keep up with the high volumes of food orders they also cant follow directions wrong food orders all the time wont be back looks like its little Avas pizzas from now on

New to town, was finding my pizza place . Ordered pizza, waited two hours to check in where it was at, only to find it wasn t written down or properly noted. Needless to say that s a critical part of the business! Lost one pizza fan.

I do not see much ever but I m from Edmonton and I have pizza here and they re effing awesome! And five pieces of pizza I m on keto and lost 70 pounds in one year this makes me want to gain 70 pounds in one day LOL

This is the gateway to Pizza Heaven baby!!! The pizza pie is the way it should be. Loaded thick w/ toppings, tastes great and perfect crunch to the crust. No run of the mill plain flavours like the big chains. After 17 yrs that Ive been in GP I have never ever been disappointed with Ramonas Pizza. It started as a local mom and pop pizzeria shop and became a family run business that has stood the test of time.

Pizzas were delicious. One was slightly overcooked but it was still gooey and fabulous.

Love Ramonas. Have been ordering from Ramonas for 31 years and love it just as much today as then. Mom has taught those boys well. Lots of everything always on my pizza. Keep up the good work. Wish you well in your new locations.

Great pizza. They like to cook it until the cheese is brown and it makes it taste great. The staff seem happy and hard working. The place looks beautiful and clean

Bland, overpriced, and poor service The pastas are actually flavourless, the other menu items weren t much better. The meat sauce was genuinely so bland that it makes you wonder if you re supposed to season it yourself with the condiments on the table. They re pretty excessive with cheese though, almost to compensate for the lack of other flavours. The nacho chips were weirdly thick and limp, almost stale despite having just come out of the oven? Our waitress would come back fairly often to ask us how we were doing but forget to actually do the things we asked for. She said she would bring a jug of water and then never did, when we asked her again, she forgot again and again until we were ready to leave. Kinda funny that she went through the motions of waiting but not coming through with it. Maybe she was just too busy chatting with the weird man at the bar who occasionally goes in and out of the kitchen to remember our requests. Also, we had gotten there for happy hour but the waitress said it was over, but another table had asked for happy hour prices and their waitress was way more accommodating to their request, even telling them just say this and I can do it, don t worry ... differential treatment ... Generally wouldn t recommend this place.

First time checking out this restaurant, the scenery was beautiful, and great atmosphere!! When I tried the pizza I was disappointed, it was very greasy, very heavy. I kinda felt nauseous after having a couple slices.

The topping to crust ratio is off. As well they discriminate those who wish not to get the vaccine.

I really want to like this business. On paper it is exactly what I want. A pizza place where I can hang out with friends in a clean welcoming atmosphere. In reality, it has been a major disappointment. A couple weekends ago, I went there with several friends. Called ahead and had them set aside some tables as there was 15 of us. There were two other groups in the building. We ordered 4 pizzas, then waited almost an hour for them. After we ordered our waitress said that she would be back with plates. The pizzas had already been at our table for 15 minutes before we got plates. We choose to start eating using napkins, rather then let the pizza go cold. After finally receiving plates, it came out that one in our group was a vegetarian, so we ordered a salad for them. After waiting half an hour for the Salad, we asked for it to go instead since everyone else was done and ready to go. It took another 15 minutes to get the Salad. I would understand wait times if it was hopping. But there were only 3 tables, the others which had already ordered before we got there. As people, the staff were friendly enough. Great pizza

Ordered pizza today, and got it on time, but i will say for 50 bucks, it sure wasnt worth it, both pizzas i ordered looked like they were droppped, i am not normally one to complain but this was bad. We have ordered from them before and they usually are good...but i have found recently that they are high priced for not so great pizza anymore, and now this...i dont like to pay 50 bucks for a pizza that has been dropped, and missing half of its toppings. Not imlressed and will most likely not be orderring from them again.

Great pizza.. They cater to your dairyfree needs. They have mixed up the order once but just check it before you pick up. They are very thorough and take the time to place your order.

Foods good not great, had been hearing about this place for ever and honestly..maybe the hype fooled me as I didnt think the pizza was as good as everyone raves about.

The food is quite good but the parking is atrocious at the Resources Road location and they are definitely not prepared to handle high volume takeout. Tonight we called in an order and were told to come in 40 mins. We arrived and find out that we need to wait another 40-45 mins. The last time we did takeout from this location we had a similar experience. If waiting a few hours for pizza isnt your thing, Id recommend one of the many other local pizza places.
