Its a shame the original owners sold, fourteen used to have the best sandwiches

They failed to give us half our order twice. kinda pricey for costco food. Not my vibe.

The cost does not out weight what you get the food is mide, speed is slow (most of the time) and the proportions are not worth what you are paying. If the prices were dropped by like 5 bucks on every item it would be worth it and my rating would go to a 3-4.

Way over priced, food is gross, didn t get what we ordered. Do not recommend. Save your money and go somewhere else. You will thank me.

Had the spicy chicken mac cheese sandwich and soup of the day. I would have preferred a different sliced cheese in the sandwich, but thats me, all in all it was a delicious, hearty meal for a cold day.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is amazing. The sandwiches created here are very original and such great combinations. I highly recommend the spicy southern chicken and Mac sandwich if you like a healthy amount of spice without bursting into tears (due to the spice at least, no promises due to the amazing flavour). Plenty of choices to keep you coming back again and again.

They have new owners and a new name « Heavenly Food » but it s the same yummy menu with some nice new additions. Owners are very sweet and kind. Seems cleaner than before too. Check it out for a great lunch. They delivery as well.

14 Food Company is in Northwestern Polytechnic as of September 2023. It replaced The Grill and Tim Hortons. I was excited at first, but everything is so expensive from the perspective of a student. I have eaten here twice, and only when I have forgotten my packed lunch at home and was too busy during the day to justify going home and getting it. The workers are nice, but the price of food is a huge deterrent for me. Especially for the amount of food you get. The image I have of 14 Food in my head is that it belongs downtown where it caters to businesses and provides lunch and coffee for professionals who can afford to eat out on their lunch break. It is really difficult to afford eating out as a student. I wish Northwestern Polytechnic would provide affordable, nutritious food geared toward the students - especially those that live in the dorms. I dont live in a dorm, but I am still on a very tight budget which is why I dont eat out unless it is a necessity. The first time I ate here I got a jalapeno popper sandwhich which was $15 dollars or so, and was supposed to replace my lunch that I forgot at home on a busy day. It was so small that I was still hungry after I ate it (about the size of my palm), and there was not enough protein or filling for it to be substantial. The second time I ate here, when I forgot to bring my lunch again and was busy during midterms, I got a buffalo chicken poutine for $13 or so (just a size regular), once again to replace the lunch I forgot. I wanted one of the cheaper options on the menu which is why I chose this. It also sounded good. The poutine tasted good, but I was shocked by the small amount of food for the price. I was still hungry after eating it. My belly was growling after 20 mins, which was frustrating. There were a few small slices of chicken strip - about the quantity of 1-2 chicken nuggets. It was like a topping, not the protein source of the meal. There was a very small amount of cheese curds as well. Not enough to really feel like a satisfying poutine. You can tell they are very conservative with their portioning. I love to support local, but I have a hard time enjoying the fact that 14 Food is in the college. I liked it more when they were downtown. At least when Tims was in the college I could get a bagel and a cheap caffeine fix for 5 bucks. Now my friends and I just walk down the road to the Tims beside the college because at 14s wapiti bean co the coffee is not bad, but just too expensive for us. I wish someone could explain to me why the cafeteria isnt geared toward students, their tight budgets, and the need for nutritious and filling meals, rather than serving only fried foods. This has always been a problem. Edit to add: The next day I thought I would try the breakfast sandwhich for $8 because its the cheapest option and I was curious. I ordered a sausage one - you could pick sausage, bacon, or ham. It was a hamburger bun with a kraft single cheese slice, one fried egg, and a little sausage round - the type you can get in a freezer pack at the store. It was pretty underwhelming. Anyone who pays for that instead of going down the road to Tims and getting a breakfast sandwhich there is paying for the convenience of not having to leave the building. At least at Tims they dont serve you a hamburger bun. Vegetarian options: The menu is not overly green. They had one special vegan pasta that they threw together, but that is it. I didnt mind it, although it was small like everything else on the menu. There arent any veggies or salads on the menu in general. Theres the cauliflower bites, which are a side for $12.

When I went downtown to the old Fourteen 14 Food Company, the food was delicious, with large portions, good prices and excellent service. But since they have come to the college, their service sucks, the food portions are tiny, and the prices are outrageous. And now their menu prices are different from what they are charging you on the machine. So where is this extra money going? How can you charge more than what the menu states without reason? A sandwich($10.99) with a combo ($4.99) came out to over $18.50 on the machine...... you said it was because of the %5 tax?? The total should have been $16.78. This is extremely disappointing, considering you are serving a student population.

A bit disappointed with the pricing, for students its pretty expensive. The food quality is a complete hit or miss, and a quite a few times now ive been told items are not avaliable due to running out of key ingredients.

I was so excited to try a local sandwich shop, but it s too bad it was overall very disappointing. My loaded fries were unloaded to say the least and my sandwich was painfully try and skinny, I was expecting what s pictured on Skip menu and this is what I got .unacceptable

Friend, Want to go to Cards for a toasted Tina sandwich? (Whoops ... Autocorrect. Tuna. Although maybe a Tina sandwich would be lovely, too, no judgement) Me, Sure. Friend, Ah! Man! Theyre not open until 4. Me, Well ... I hear Fourteen is good. Friend, It was an ok age, I suppose. Little awkward. Me, The cafe. Where Ramonas used to be. Friend, Will they have toasted Tina? (My phone does NOT want us to have a TUNA sandwich!!!) Lets go find out They did NOT have toasted Tina nor TUNA but they DID have a veritable selection of other delights. We settle on the BLAT (bacon, lettuce AND tomatoes ... with guacamole), side of fries, carrot and lentil soup and a beverage. I cant tell you how the soup was as its on hold for my lunch tomorrow BUT the BLAT with guacamole was superb! And I had a pretty darn tasty BLT at The Royal Diner last-night, too (Hmm ... It is possible that I eat out too much ) and they were completely different flavours, textures, combinations. Both delightful. This one at Fourteen was on sourdough bread which my digestive system appreciates so theres that, but the texture of the s.d. combined with the BLT .. sigh ...I just kept taking bite after bite and saying This is SO good!!!! Fries were good. Nothing to write home to Mom about but tasty enough and perfectly cooked. Im not a huge fry connoisseur but you HAVE to try fries at every restaurant you go to for the first time. Its a rule. No, really, it is. I tend to base my fry satisfaction on homemade, gravy flavour, seasonings, doneness, etc. These were just fries, tasty and good. My friend DID have the soup and the ratings were solid. I would say if you want a sandwich that is fresh, crisp ingredients on divine tasting bread that has JUST the right amount of condiments on it, no excessive sauces, just pure food flavour, youve found your sandwich place. Also, beautiful and convenient downtown walk. Cafe sells local artwork by local artists (gotta love that) which not only benefits local artists but is also an add to the devote and atmosphere. Service was kind, attentive. Prep was efficient, no delays or lagging times. Solid 8+

Fast becoming our favorite spot. Amy and Ozzi always come to chat and the atmosphere is fantastic. The added bonus of them having ice cream now is even better! Grande Prairies hidden gem Kid-friendliness: They greet our son with so much enthusiasm, offer coloring materials and are just so personable with him.

This is a strickly burger fries place. If you have dietary restrictions dont bother going. Really good food at reasonable prices!

Great little place to get something to eat. They offer a bunch of different sandwiches and a number of other items and all of the food Ive had there was delicious. The Garbage Plate is amazing if you go in for breakfast between 10 and 12 (or all day on the weekend) and they offer a soup of the day that gets shared to their Facebook page.

The food is full flavor, had a delicious fourteen 14 burger and a great poutine made with crispy fries and with proper cheese curds, no bs mozzarella like some others in town. Love the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant and some available for purchase.

Very cool place. Had the breakfast bowl. Flavours are good. The prices where good for what you get. I maybe wanted a little more punch in my meal. But overall was very good food and will return at some point to try other things on their menu.

Went for lunch today. This was my second time in. First time I went they were out of the item I went in to try. Had a burger that was okay. Today I did get what I originally went into try and let s just say it was nothing like I was expecting. For over $15 bucks plus over $5 to make it a combo was disappointing. I ve seen some picture of the food and let s just say it s not the same. I personally will go one more time to see if it was an off day and hope that it s more along the line of what I was expecting.

Had the Breakfest Garbage Plate and Holly cow solid 10/10 filled me up and was delicious, also try the Grizzly Paw Root Beer

I wish I could say the food is overpriced... but I cant. You genuinely get what you pay for here. I ordered on Skip so Im unsure if the prices there are the same as in the restaurant itself since delivery fees may be added to the price. I ordered the 14 Burger, and honestly its the best burger Ive had in town. Also got the mac&cheese and its also some of the best in town. My mom got the Ribeye Philly cheese, and it was amazing. Regardless of the prices, you can taste the pride that goes into the food they make here. So its worth every penny. Will definitely be coming in to the restaurant next time!

Everything I have had the pleasure to try their food..OMG SOOOOOO good. The soup is orgaz....n the burger for sure is homemade. The amazing sauce they have is just as equally as good. Chicken fingers are perfectly crispy with that very taste sauce too. Im looking forward to trying the rest. Im sure it will be just as tasty as the rest. Thank you fotlr making GP that much better. Visiting GP for a few days and a friend suggested 14 for lunch. The food was fantastic. It is a refreshing change from boring day to day food. Loved it so much I went back twice in 2 days for lunch. Highly recommend.

I am not from Grand Prairie but I happened across this gem while I was in town for work. The sandwiches were so good that I came here everyday I was in town for at least one meal. If you get a chance to come in I highly recommend them. The service was awesome, the food is excellent. The ribeye Philly XL was unreal and there fries are probably the best I ve ever had! 10/10 definitely worth a visit!

Spicy Pork Melt and the Hot chicken Sandwich are probably the best sandwiches in town. Great service from all the staff everytime Ive been there.

Im not overly impressed with the service I received today. There was an issue with a delivery getting sent to the wrong address. When I spoke to the restaurant they were pretty rude about it. They said some one had accepted the food and that they have never had an issue with their delivery drivers before as if I was lying to them. I insisted that I did not get my food because I really hadnt so they agreed to resend it. The food itself was very underwhelming theres very little flavor and not a whole lot of originality. I wouldnt eat here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I have been very lucky to live across the road from them, they provide a very personal experience. With a home made mouth watering menu you are sure to be pleased and will be surprised by the meal sizes. They are located in the core of GP. I would recommend the garbage platter, enough food for a family of 5 LOL. Happy eating.

Had Fourteen 14 Food today for the first time. Simply delicious! Bought my husband the Hot Popper, and he had to pick the jalapeños out! Obviously everything is homemade and the atmosphere was great. The local art for sale is a nice touch. We love supporting local and we love yummah food, so we will be back!

Delicious food thatll have you coming back over and over again to try everything... And dont get me started on their fries!! Easy 5 stars.

Both times I came here the service was AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond. The food was also pretty awesome, the fries were delightful and crispy, and the soup I ordered was alright. the only thing I can say bad is that there are no change tables in the bathroom for my kid and I think it s super important to have those. It would be cool to think about some other coffee options too, maybe an espresso option and/or iced coffee since downtown lost the gp. Coffee co. There s not many options for downtown coffee

Fantastic experience here. I was impressed with the hipster vibe inside, absolutely loved it! I had the large poutine, and it was huge! Could barely finish it. The largest helping of fries Ive ever had at a restaurant! Great value and taste. Will be back again in the future!

Excellent sandwiches. Hot and crispy bites with lots of flavourful fresh ingredients. The loaded fries were awesome and came in a decent portion. Friendly atmosphere! Absolutely loved this place and will sure be back very soon.

Passionate owner with delicious sandwiches on the menu. The Jalapeno Popper is spier than the Spicy Chicken (because there are these perfect sweet pickles on it). The loaded fries are crispy with a garic aioli and tons of bacon and cheese. Very fun chalk menu with the specials and dessert (will have to try the deep fried cheesecake bites next time!) Local art on the walls as well.

What an amazing tasting food! Highly recommend this place. The Loaded fries had so much taste including the McDonalds replica of the BigMac!

A group of us ordered lunch today to our workplace, and Carl, I believe who is the owner, took my order on the phone he was so polite and accommodating. He wrote the names on all the take out boxes so it was easy to hand out at the office. The food was delicious and fresh. I am excited to eat there again, and try more items on the menu. Their home made ranch for the loaded fries is amazing! Carl even texted after the delivery to check on the order. Now that is customer service. I was blown away by their customer service I find a lot of places lack that here. Great Job Fourteen 14 Food Company.

Had a very tasty and filling lunch today on a beautiful sunny afternoon , was welcomed by a talented musician playing his guitar and a kind staff to welcome me and take my order. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to feel at ease and enjoy one of Grande prairies finest local go to spots !

Great food.

Went there for the first time this weekend. The atmosphere was good, the two ladies working were super friendly but the food was meh. I was super excited to try the jalapeño popper sandwich. It comes with jalapenos, ham, bacon, cheddar, and cream cheese. Is was the thinnest smallest slice of ham I have ever seen. They dont use cheddar at all they use a super rubber process cheese which I would have asked them not to put it on if there menu stated process and the smallest amount of cream cheese ever. The sandwich has a lot of potential. Even just by adding more cream cheese and taking the fake cheddar off all together. I couldnt even finish it because the process cheese was all I could taste it over powered even the jalapeños and it was sticking to my teeth. Over all the most expensive sandwich I have ever partially ate.

Came upon this delightful Sandwich bistro today. The atmosphere was pleasant and when I asked for a recommendation on the menu, I was given a few choices. Settling on the Uncle Joey and a loaded fries I sat down and was over the moon pleased with not only the taste but presentation. Definatly recommend stopping in when you have the time. I gave 4 stars, not because the food and location was worth less than five, but because once my food was at my table that was it. I ate in silence and was not talked too by the staff, when I left it went unnoticed. For me, the appeal too an establishment includes the customer relations and I felt as though it was not there. Keep up the good work guys, I cant wait to come back.

I was so thrilled to hear of a new lunch place in town! I was not disappointed. I had the French Onion Beef Dip Sandwich. OMG! It was the best sandwich I had in a long time. So worth it. Staff were super friendly. I have been recommending Fourteen to my friends and co-workers. I am trying the mac n cheese next time I go!

Great food with a good variety of sandwiches youve not had anywhere else , with local artwork on the walls and friendly staff.

Had the Piggy Mac, pulled pork sandwich. It was ok but nothing great or outstanding -generic BBQ sauce, tasted like cattle boyz- Defs could have improved with cheese added as the mac was dry. Id back again to try the Cuban or Bologna Im sure.

I got our food to go because you know whole global pandemic thing and restrictions and they even put my gravy for my poutine in a separate container so my fries didn t get soggy. You know it s the little things ;) A+ guys. Great place. Amazing food.
