One of the best breakfast buffets I've ever had. Ever. The service was amazing. The food was 10/10. Reasonably priced. We got a free Mimosa with the brunch. 20/10. Would recommend to EVERYONE.

If you are seeking a recommendation for a suitable breakfast establishment, I would like to suggest a hidden gem located in Grande Prairie. The culinary offerings, particularly during breakfast hours, are exceptional and worthy of high praise.

An 80 year old grandfather had traveled 6 hours with his daughter and grandson to see his son and granddaughter. "Where can we go for supper?" he asked his son, a Grande Prairie resident. "Let's try Major's," said the son. "They always have something on the menu you'll want." 7 mouths, 7 levels of hungry, 7 different levels of taste between the ages of 13 and 80 yet there was something on the menu to satiate everyone. The portions are large. Very large. For around the $20-25 range per person, you will receive enough food to feed you that meal and have leftovers for the next. The atmosphere was peaceful, familial, comfortable. Above the atmosphere, food, affordability, however, had to be the service. Tracy, very much an adoring grandmother living with her 3 year old grandson, treated you like the good ol' days when you'd walk into a family restaurant for a piece of pie and they'd call you by name and pour you coffee right away. She acknowledge the youngest in strength of form, a growing boy needing a hardy meal. She acknowledged the eldest who'd likely enjoy the good old fashioned home fries as his side. She kept an eye on coffee and was quick to the draw with menus and order taking, as was the kitchen with service, I might add. Having to head back to three separate homes and one hotel room after supper, we dilly dallied after supper, catching up and laughing, enjoying our time together. Tracy not only never rushed us, but made us feel as comfortable as if we were at our own kitchen table catching up. If you have to feed a good chunk of hungry people on some old school meat and potato menu choices for less than $25 each in this economy, this is your place. Comfort, food, price and service. Remember this is the Major's Homestyle and Tractor Jack's location in the Paradise Inn on the West side of town over by the Home Depot area in town (but on South Side of street). If the pizza chef is there ... I think his name may be Nazam (small world, but he knows a friend of ours and son from back home, 6 hours away, by the same name) ... ask him to see the $1.00 beer menu from 1978 ... just to help that punch of inflation REALLY hit home. Oh, and to Tracy's daughter ... you only live once and you're only little once and you only have a Gramma or two or three once. Treasure the memories. Years from now, you won't remember that Gramma never said no and your son knew it, using it against you 😂 ... you'll only remember how much they loved one another. Trust us.
Everything was great, had homemade chicken fingers, delicious, would have liked more dipping sauce but server didn't come to my table until I was finished eating, I mentioned she should do a quality check, and she told me she had 20 years experience and knows how to serve. Then started yelling at me from behind the bar that it was busy, it wasn't busy the big table of customers already had their food. Would I visit this place again, probably not. She has 20 years experience, I have 40.
Fantastic breakfast served there. The ambience was great and the service was friendly. I never had an empty coffee mug, can't go wrong with that.

Had the lumberjack brekkie with French toast. It was great! Homemade potatoes. Good coffee, good service and a great selection of food. Will be back to try the homemade desserts I was too full this round!

Robs hot chicken burger 10 outta 10 Beef burgers are decent as well, but robs chicken is next level Better then Boston pizza ( for burgers atleast, cause I only tried the burgers) Beef burgers, I prefer five guys, but they are both good in a differnt way Quick , good service U thought value was good cause the burgers was 1 meal, and the salad was big so I counted it as 2 meals Deep fried cheese cake looks good in pics as well
What a fantastic find for breakfast with large portions. With a ton of variety. The staff are very friendly and always attentive to our needs. We were a large group and they had no problem seating and serving us all. Plates came out all at approximately same time coffe cup was always topped up. Great job. Like everything in GP pricing seems to be a little much but that is GP

We came here for breakfast. Best bacon I ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. The staff were very nice. Clean. Good casual dining.
I had steak and eggs for breakfast on Monday and it was delicious!!! Server was very friendly and attentive.

Well was sadly disappointed today. I took my daughter here for breakfast as a treat, and the food was not too good at all. Not sure if the cook was havin a bad day or what but it was just off. Unfortunately we won t go back. Service was awesome as usual.

I frequent ztractor Jacks which is the lounge side. The service, food and entertainment are second to none! Try it out. Im sure youd agree!
Disgusting
Unreal. Terrible. We ordered our meals and waited 1.5 hours for it. Never got it. We were a table of three and a baby. The table in front of us was a party of 8 or so. Lots of people. They got all their food first and we were told ours was to be right out 3 individual times. We asked to just pay for the appetizers we did end up getting and then they said our food was to be right out. Again. So we waited for it to be put in a box since the server said it was being put on the plates and that ended up taking another ten minutes to apparently just be put in a box. Not only did we have to deal with slow and lying staff but also a slow and unreliable kitchen.
We will never go back. :(

Had to eat something after our night out... Went to Majors for a great breakfast. They had a big buffet, but since I wasnt sure how much I could have, I opted to order off the menu. Service was excellent. Nice and clean. Had the denver sandwich with potatoes. MMM hit the spot. And actual real fried potatoes. Thumbs up!
We sat in a booth in full view of the two servers and were completely ignored for ten minutes. No eye contact, no hello, never mind an offer of drinks or a menu. Their food is good but their service leaves much to be desired.

Great food and service. The steak sandwich was cooked to perfection and the Caesar salad had lots of cheese and bacon with an amazing sauce. Would recommend and will return next time I am in town

We eat here yesterday and today. Our server both times was Juanita. She was fabulous!!! Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and all round excellent server. The food was very good and large portion. Would highly recommend and give them 5 plus, for service and food.

Have been ordering here from years the food is amazing. We often end up ordering from here when we have one of our cant decide where to eat moments. The foods great cant stress this enough. But thats not the secret here what you need to try is their Sunday brunch. Crab and prime rib accompanied by various meals both lunch and breakfast oriented. The staff is amazing and handled my children with care and composure. Although busy they had absolutely no slowdown no lack of service and not we are getting slammed attitude. I can not stress enough this is a must eat if you want some good comfort food, amazing deserts, or gorge yourself until the button on your jeans pops on their amazing brunch.

The food and atmosphere here is fantastic :-) the people are lovely that work here, and they always offer a beautiful variety of options appropriate for the different times of day. They also have a lovely Buffet here to choose from at certain times of the week. I would definitely recommend going here if you want to eat tasty food with some healthy options and home cooking :-)

While I have eaten here quite often and enjoyed the food and atmosphere I am thoroughly disappointed after this Sunday morning breakfast. There was very little eggs or pancakes in the warmers and the little that was there was dry. We had ordered waters and coffees my water was forgotten and no cream was provided. Very disappointing for $20 a person. Likely the last time I will do breakfast at Majors. If I could give zero stars I would.
Homemade food!!!! Best place in town to eat!
Had a groupon for this restaurant. The food was amazing... best burgers, pizza and steak. The Chef/ owner was awesome and friendly We will definitely go there again if in the area for any reason. My kids loved it and cleaned their plates ... which was amazing because the portions were huge. Give it a try if you are in the area great value with or without a groupon coupon.

The best best hot turkey sandwich Ive ever eaten! Also had Sunday brunch here a few months back and was quite impressed with the variety of food at the buffet. Lots of seafood, made to order omelettes, salad, fruit and lots more!

I have never been here prior, and must I say you couldnt ask for a nicer waitress, I asked her what she recommended was good she said the baked lasagna. And must I say it has to be the best lasagna I have ever had. Highly recommend to anyone. Will be coming back. And great service.

Ordered a waffle breakfast with eggs bacon and potatoes from Skip The Dishes. Bacon was extremely greasy and undercooked in some spots, got barely any eggs and the potatoes were horrible. The waffle was pretty good so I guess that s something.

Absolutely terrible. Only way to describe it. I felt very bad for the poor waitress. Realtives staying at the hotel for the weekend invited family for supper. 9 of us showed up. No one else in dining area. We had two children ages 9&11. We all ordered off menu. Food never came and never came. Waitress apologised and said that the Skip the Dishes meals were taking priority. So we who took the time to come in and dine waited. Finally one persons dish then another and another. After a 20 minute wait the food stared to appear. Then it took 15 minutes to get all of the meals to the table. Burger and fries, potatoes skins, kids pasta beef dips (2) and thats it. Kids had to wait till the very last. We all waited for them to get their food. Beef dips were small, course cut beef and small amount. No gravy. No veggie of any kind anywhere, French fries were good but very small quantities. So obviously I would not recommend this place to anyone. Only good thing is we will never be back again. 8 of us from Vancouver Island ,. Up here in GP for a funeral. I felt bad for the one brother that lives here. Poor guy was embarrassed.. Next time will go somewhere exotic like. Mc Donalds . At least the food is consistent there.
