Their quality and portion size have both dropped exponentially! Very disappointed as its nice too have something other than your typical restaurants.

Small portions for the amount paid. Food tastes old/ not the best, thoroughly unimpressed. Over priced subpar food. Hoping for more for the family.

The service there was so rude. I don t like getting snapped at when I order food. Being rushed when you order also isn t very polite. Would NEVER go again. Teach your employees to be polite

Was expecting great things, but food lacked flavour. There was a large table of 39 guests so that might have affected the service and food on our visit. The drinks were done really well.

Thanksgiving turkey dinner was a nice treat! Food was amazing as was the customer service! Very friendly staff ordered a brownie thinking it was the smallest thing I could have its definitely not small but incredibly delicious!

Memphesis bbq ribs, the ribs I had were extremely greasy, but wow, everything else was fantastic. The service was a bit slow, but the server was awesome, Abby.

I have been eating here since they opened. Ive never had a bad meal until now. I ordered the chicken breast dinner because the description says 2 6oz breasts. When I got home and opened the container, I was shocked to find 2 very tiny, soggy pieces of meat. I have to weigh all my proteins so I know for a fact that they were only 2.7oz. So I only had a total of just over 5oz of meat when it should have been 12oz. I called the restaurant and complained because this was a 24$ meal?? The server was very nice about taking my complaint and offered me a free meal. Great!! Oh no!! I went back the next day and ordered the combo plate with 2 proteins and asked to get a breast instead of the 1/4 chicken and that was no problem. Got it home and opened up the container and was again very disappointed. At least this new chicken was 3.7oz but still very pale and soggy looking. Then when I went to eat it, I got a small bone in it. I will still eat here but definitely not the chicken.

I ordered the chicken breast dinner. It tasted bad and not well cooked. The service was OK but I didnt like their food. My colleagues had different dishes and they enjoyed them. I guess there is something wrong with their chicken.

For a BBQ joint prices dont match the portions or the quality. Ribs ok bbq beans where better than the pickled brine brisket. Couldnt even finish eating the brisket just gross. Not coming back even it is free.

The waffle fries came crispy which was great however the amount of salt threw it all off. The side dish macaroni came out undercooked, A KD dinner cup tasted better. Kid-friendliness: There are big enough tables for a family of six or more that I noticed.

Smoked wings. Get em flash fried, and then opt for salt n pepper rub. I assure you-will not be disappointed.

Food was amazing, atmosphere was.....lacking...it was like walking in to a cafeteria....hard seats. Bland metal and wood tables. Hardly any decore. And the music was way too loud. Had to move tables and considered leaving due to to this. Then we got our food. Holy damn. All of the waitresses were wonderful.

Its really hard to get me to write a bad review, but this was extremely disheartening. Ordered takeout and received an abysmal portion size considering the cost. This was not an inexpensive meal, and to open the container to see it sparsely packed was sad. Everyone is hurting in this economy, I understand, but when you spend hard earned cash on a dinner for your family this is not what you expect. Bear in mind - the photo with this review is my untouched food.

I dont know why I dont eat here more often other than it is on the other side of town. The food is great. Service is good. Try the jalapeño poppers. (Not on the menu but ask for them).

My wife and I came in for an evening dessert of apple crisp and ice cream. We were treated with excellent service and our server made our night with an unexpected treat. Thank you, thank you.

We waited almost 2 hours for our food. The waitress only came to our table to take our order and bring the food/drinks in that time. The food came out luke warm and was not very good. It was not a great experience overall.

Went in for a sit down lunch with some co-workers, great service, great good, definitely always a enjoyable spot for lunch

Been here in the past and the food was decent, but not amazing by any means. Tonight I went there with four other people at around 6:30 PM. It was very busy and most of the tables were occupied except 3 that were reserved and one 4 seat table. The server/hostess came and spoke to us and told us we only have a 4 seat table available. Since theres 5 of you we wont be able to seat you. Sorry. She then walked away. She didnt ask if we wanted go on a wait list or come back later or anything like that. Just, sorry and walk away. Like I said, the food is decent, but not amazing and its close to my hotel. I wont go here again and will drive anywhere else for my meals in Grande Prairie.

Ordered hot wings and the meat was pink in the middle. Same with the meatloaf and ribs we ordered. Had an upset stomach after eating there. Nice enough place but it s been twice I went there and the chicken was still pink.

Always 10/10! They have the best smoked meats and a one of a kind Dill Pickle soup that is a MUST try. Recently we purchased a smoked turkey that fed 10 ppl, cooked ready for pick up on Christmas day! It was a huge hit and help, will definitely be doing it for any major dinner again for sure! Hands down the worst BBQ I ve ever had 0 flavor waited over an hour for our food waited 20 mins just to get water . When the food came the chicken was petrified the brisket was over cooked and had no flavor whatsoever no Smokey flavor that comes with good BBQ no salt no pepper! The pulled pork was dry as well but soaked in sugary BBQ sauce the cornbread muffin was cold . The whole thing took almost 2 hours almost had to leave . Terrible don t waste your money way overpriced!!

Went tonight for the first time. It was soo good. I had the combo with chicken and ribs and husband had combo with brisket and ribs. With 3 different meats and 5 different sides, the only slight negative was that the brisket could have used extra something. Kora-Lyn was our server and she did amazing. First time eating here and was not impressed with the slow service. We waited and hour and a half before our main meal was served and the food was not hot. Thank goodness we had two starters to share before. We also had to track down our server to get the bill as we had waited another 20 mins for the bill. This was a family of 5. Dont think we will eat there again.

Can I leave anything lower than one star?? The ribs and brisket were so dry I thought it was beef jerky. Worst BBQ Ive ever had.

Service was slow. Had the ribs and the 50 50 burger. Now the meat should fall off the bone on any ribs Ive had, but not at red rock its tough. The burger was dry and only can taste the dijon mustard. When ask about the rib the reply was, they where cooked to temperature. Only seen are waiter to take the order and to pickup the bill

I would have given everything a 5 star. However, hub and I were there to have a nice dinner out kid free. A little bit after we got there, the door to go outside in the kitchen kept slamming shut, shaking the wall and was super loud. Made me jump a little every time it happened. Wish the staff would not let that door slam. Very annoying and doesnt make for a very nice dining experience. But on the up side, our server was great and friendly and the food was quite good as well.

The best serving staff around .Friendly, funny and on point with the ice cold Stellas. Great place to enjoy an afternoon beer. If I order I never go wrong the with the smoked salt and pepper wings and the bang bang shrimp. Usually just beers tho.

Excellent food. Ordered pulled pork for 75 people on relatively short notice. They were happy to make changes as we had to increase numbers a few days prior. They provided a warming box to transport safely and even provided serving dishes, cutlery and plates! Without us requesting them. Much appreciated. The food was excellent and more than adequately fed the wedding guests, and still had leftovers for lunch the next day. Definitely a great experience.

Had the tacos very disappointed but the cauliflower bites were amazing... And watch your step if using the restrooms the wife fell down really bad on the step definitely needs better warning on step Food

Food was amazing and so was the server. Only down side is it took 40 mins after ordering appetizers to be informed that one was not available. Then another 20 minutes for them to come out. We were not half way done the appetizer when the meals came. When the meals did come they forgot 1 of the 3 mains. Food and servers are always amazing but it s a very slow kitchen. Be prepared for 2 hours to eat.

Wonderful restaurant! Nice back area for larger groups, and they were so accommodating for our event. The staff were so lovely and kind, and everything on the menu sounded so delicious it was hard to choose what to eat. Our whole group loved their food and had nothing but good things to say about the service. 100% recommend this spot.

This review is based only on food since we ordered take out. The wings: we ordered maple butter and honey garlic. The maple butter was a great flavor but both wings were dry and overcooked. We got the smoked ones but it didn t taste like a good smoked wing it tasted like burnt charcoal. The meatloaf: absolutely horrible. All we tasted was this burnt charcoal again. It was also dry and not fresh whatsoever. Really had high hopes for that. Same goes for the ribs. Dry, and a horrible taste. We had Mac and cheese and smashed potatoes and gravy for the sides and they were mediocre at best. The best part of the whole meal was the cornbread. The last dish we ordered was the carbonara pasta. They offer you either Alfredo or marinara sauce which is not what a carbonara pasta is whatsoever. It had chicken and the chicken was barely noticeable and ridiculously salty. We spent over $100 on this meal and it tasted awful. We tried red rock back in 2017 and was disappointed then as well. We will never try again.

Strongly recommend the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. Had it with beef today instead - maybe even better.

I read the reviews for the Red Rock while waiting for our meals since it was an hour wait. We got there a little after 6 pm. The reviews were all over the place so I was not confident we were going to be happy with everything we ordered. Then the food arrived. We ordered 7 wings with house made BBQ sauce, a combo plate with Ribs and Brisket, two BBQ Beef Tacos with fries, and a Beet and Feta salad with steak. Everything exceeded our expectations, mind you, we were famished. Ribs were tender and flavorful, brisket was not dry at all but it did lack the flavour carried by the other meats we had. Wings were well cooked and juicy, Tacos were AMAZING, and I think the steak that was served on my salad was one of the best steaks I have had in quite a while. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Even the fries were delicious. Although we did not receive any corn bread, it was okay because there were only two of us. Husband thought I ordered too much but when it was all said and done, our to-go box carried one taco and a lonely wing home. Next time, we will try and get there before the rush but we will 100% be going back! Only thing I would recommend: HIRE MORE SERVERS AND KITCHEN STAFF!

Sad to write this as I used to like the place but there is no excuse for our most recent experience. Service was terrible, and by that I mean there was more than a couple tables that came in after us, got their food, desert, payed and left before we even got our food. Despite ordering first. And when it finally came you can tell it must have been forgotten about as it was lukewarm. We won t be returning.

The pulled pork and chicken was OK but the brisket was dry and overcooked, and the Old Fashioned I got was mediocre with an orange peel that was half green The macaroni side was flavourless and the vegetables looked sad and lifeless. We went on a Friday evening, so its not like the B-team was on shift either. I likely wont return based on this experience.

Was there for an hour and a half before we even got our appetizers. never got refills or any attention from the server. Ended up getting food to go, when food was finally delivered I said thank you very much which was returned with a glare and no words. Building was also very warm and the tvs weren t on.

Waited an hour and half for our appetizers alone. Our waitress only came to our table twice in the hour and an half we waited. Asked for our main meal to be packed up because we had to leave. Paid at the till and had a cash tip to leave when we got our packed food. Waitress delivered it to our table and we said thank you very much and she gave us the nastiest look and didn t say anything before walking away. We didn t leave our cash tip and left. Our spinach dip and calamari were both room temperature, and the restaurant itself was very warm. Overall not great at all.

Are good took quite a while to arrive but the appetizer were amazing and everyone else enjoyed there meal. I would just like to suggest stay away from the pulled pork and mac n cheese. The texture of the cheese was awful. Like velvita. If you enjoy genuine cheese I would not recommend. Was surprised to not get real cheese at a restaurant

The burger was good. The wings were ok our server also was good. However the brisket was a fail. Dry, cold, thinly sliced and lacked any flavour. It was as if it was cooked and sliced hours maybe days before and left in the open. . It had kind of a strange colour? Greenish sort of Can t explain it. It was no fault to the server I don t think she was aware of what it should look like as she appeared surprised when I told her it wasn t very good and she couldn t see why. Left me wondering what they are shooting for here. Texas style brisket sure isn t it. Place was pretty full of over served individuals too

Nice interesting menu. My littles enjoyed their burgers with sweet potato fries. The dipping was dill sauce, I believe. The burgers were served on brioche buns. Pretty good, I must say. We also got a nice dessert. Fritters served with ice cream and drizzled with chocolate. Yum!

Not happy 25$ for cold chicken sandwich and for a side I wanted macaroni and cheese barley half cup probably wont go back

It used to be really good when it first opened, but now the portions are far too small for what you pay for. Also the quality is lacking as we have had to return items for being either dry or undercooked. If it could return to what it once was like Id happily change my opinion.

Had high hopes, had heard so many good things about this place. Was extremely disappointed. Food was COLD, brisket was not tender at all. It was rubber. Got our first round of drinks fast but no refills afterwards. Took a very long time to get our food which probably sat for a while before given to us, hense why it was so cold. Maybe something changed due to covid and its new staff? Idk but it was not good. Waitress was nice but overall experience was bad

Just went in after restrictions were lifted it has been a long time. The food and service was just as good as I remember. Redrock is still my favorite place to eat in town.

I ordered a rare stake, and not a medium cooked stake and it was terrible. the waitress was a sweetheart though, she understood the issue and she took back the stake and got me a new one, however the stake was even more cooked than last time. The waitress was as displeased as I and she was able to wave the cost of the stake completely which was very nice. she was so sweet and understand and took care into how my service was not only from her, but the cooks too. I will not come back for the food but Id come back her for customer service. her name is Kora, shes did a really good job at serving me.

The meal was good. I enjoyed it. The entertainment was awesome. A singer/songwriter, Cam White, who plays all kinds of music. You could choose a request off a list he had on a professional pamphlet. We stayed to listen to the full performance.

Took my rig crew here last night. Meat was very dry. Boys couldn t finish their meals. Might have been an off night.

My daughter ordered the BBQ chicken dinner an the both pieces of chicken were half raw, the fries were soggy, not very happy about the meals me an my husband got.

This time the brisket and pulled pork were exceptionally dry and lacking in flavor...

Although the server was great and accommodating the food was slow and unimpressive. BBQ in Alberta should be world class and this wasnt even backyard good. Low quality meats and cold or stale sides made it unenjoyable.

starter - mac n cheese with pulled pork. it was pretty tasty! mains - half rack of ribs with mashed potatoes and caesar salad & texmex platter with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. the only good part of the mains were the mashed potatoes the ribs were dry and didn t taste good, the platter was just mush with cheese (not what was expected) and the steamed veggies were not steamed. drinks - red sangria. tasted good, pretty average sangria. our server was good, just wish the food had been better!

Dill pickle soup, 10/10. Our waitress was awesome, specially with the 4 kids we had with us. Patient, kind and didnt make the kids feel rushed when they wanted to order their own food. Also, The Belini was fantastic!

This place sucks. I was told it was good from co workers. Something about better than freds or something place was half empty. Waitress was good but food took an hour and a half. Apps were tasty but took 45 mins got our mains an hour and a half in cold. Just boxed it and left. Tipped the Waitress the bill gor effort but dodge this place. Unless youre drinking.

Went with several friends for the first time in a few years. Everyone loved their meals. Salmon tacos were a big hit, as well as dill pickle soup. Service was a little slow but we all had a great time and staff was very pleasant and professional. Informed us they had a few new staff members.

We had 4 adults and a baby, each of us enjoyed our meal. I had chicken fingers and fries, it was delicious, and served piping hot. Parking: Parking was available at the front entrance.

When Red Rock first opened, it was stellar. The food was great, and the service was excellent. We used to eat here constantly. When they changed the restaurant to all-ages, the dynamic changed. Instead of it being a BBQ bar and grill, it turned into crying babies and kids running in circles. The service started to slip. Several months later we decided to try Red Rock again, and The food was absolutely horrible, all my meats were dry and tasted microwaved. The brisket was like rubber, the beans were watery with undercooked veggies. Update. Decided to give Red Rock another try. Basic 2 meal order. The tacos were missing a key ingredient and the steak had zero seasoning, not even salt or pepper. Unfortunately with the price of dining, this place isnt worth a nickle.

Waited over 45 mins to get something that needed to be reheated in the oven, only to get food moderately warm. I was the only diner. A table walked in wayyy after me and somehow got food before I did. The bacon was soggy and there still was a wrapper on the corn bread. The mac and cheese... had a better box of kraftdinner IMO. Not very good at all. Bright side was the server, she was smiling and accommodating. However I do not recommend and I will never return. Terrible. 2 stars only because of service.

Tried the smoked, deviled eggs; beef dip, dill pickle soup and smoked pork belly sandwich. It was all delicious. Highly recommend the pork belly!! One note on the sides: while loaded with bacon, the side Caesar was not really dressed making it a bunch of loose lettuce, bacon and croutons and there was nothing dirty about the dirty rice - had a couple of pieces of peppers but no meat. The staff was prompt, funny and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable - highly recommend you check it out.

Attended Wing Wednesday - great selection of tasty flavors with one that is not on the menu being our fave- spicy dill. Make sure to ask your waitress about any of the other options they have that are not advertised (salt and vinegar was another she had mentioned to us). The servers are fast, friendly and very willing to discuss anything on the menu. The option of smoked or bare wings also ensures the smokiness does not overpower some of the lighter flavors. We tried the side house salad and it was much better than the sad Caesar we were served on the first visit - highly recommend!

I heard many great things about the service and the food but I was unfortunately not pleased by the quality of the food compared to the price my fiance and I paid. It was comparable to Dennys quality. Im assuming it was an off day and we may try going again in the future.

First time here, will not be my last. The Good - prices, service and most of the food. The Red Rock tacos with taco brisket. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Memphis ribs, best ribs I have ever had in a restaurant. The Bad - sliced brisket. Dry and tasteless, I will stay away from this next time. Over all, I would highly recommend the Red Rock Urban BBQ.

Calamari was raw. the staff including the kitchen didnt know what type of ribs they sold. The whole experience was underwhelming

We just had lunch there. The waitress was very judgemental. Not very nice! My daughter could not eat her Caesar salad because the dressing tasted funky. The waitress said she checked the salad dressing and it was fine and charged us $20 for a salad that was not eaten because it tasted so awful. I won t go back again.

We, as an oilfield company, ordered catering through Red Rock. We ordered for 15 guys, we ended up feeding 22 guys and still had leftovers! Not only that, the guys absolutely loved the food!!! Best BBQ in town, thank you!

Ordered for pickup. Bang bang shrimp was grossly undercooked. Bbq wings were terrible. No napkins , salt, pepper or utensils. 45$+ for two lbs of wings and the shrimp, i would expect some quality food. Staff was friendly, cook should be embarrased. Wouldnt even consider going back.
