Delicious dosa

Worst food ever . I order tamato and manchao soup and literally these people gave me a 3rd class soup. It taste like a tamato sauce mixed with some hot water. It happens each and every time ,I order 3-4 times from them and every time I have to garbage that food. Don t order anything from here .

This was some of the best food Ive had! The naan was out of this world, and each of the curries I had were spectacular. Loved the kheer. I enjoyed this so much that I ate here 3 times in the three days I was in Grand Prairie.

Me and my friends had lunch at Shree Jee restaurant and the staff was fantastic, warm and welcoming. The food was impeccable, delicious and gorgeously presented. Pav bhaji was even more delicious than the pav bhaji in India. I bet you can never have as delicious masala dosa even in a South Indian restaurant. If you visit this place, you are gonna thank me later.

Went to shree ji today, i had my worst experience at this restaurant. The server is so dumb with no confidence at all. The service was poor. We found hair in our baby s food and the server s reaction was ok and he went inside the kitchen. Over all, i hated the service here. Worst place, will never recommend to anyone. The server also lied about manager not being at site. There was a guy who looked like a manager, went inside the kitchen. When i asked the server if he was the manager, he said it s just a guy and came to meet another customer. I don t know if any restaurant that will allow a random person to go through their kitchen. I would really like a food inspector to go there, there cooks had no beard nets as well. Worst experience ever.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this shree jee , and I must say, it lived up to its name. The restaurant exudes a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that immediately draws you in. Upon perusing the menu, it was evident that samosa Haven takes its craft seriously, offering a diverse selection of gourmet samosa to suit every palate and staff members were really Nice and friendly.

Reasonable price and good food

Went to this store today afternoon for lunch with my friends. The Meduvada is not even vada. Highly doubt it s frozen food and was very very below in taste and quality. We ordered Gopi Manjurian dry and received gravy and when asked this guy refused that we asked and was so hesitant to change it to our choice. Long waiting for the food made it even worse. Dosa was above average and the Sambar was freaking good. Also to mention, they have good Indo-Chinese food.

The Chana masala is my absolute favourite dish in all of GP! The portions are huge which I appreciate and I love how the decorated the restaurant. I love that there s lots of vegan options.

So my standard in GP is Sheeshu s but I wanted to try the new contender. Extremely glad I did, although it is not well advertises Shree is full vegetarian. The variety of vegetarian dishes is absolutely incredible. I started with Samosa s, 2 for 4.50 which is a dollar cheaper. Spice level was okay, outside was a bit thick and not as crispy but colour was very bright so oil is extremely clean and taste was very good with a slight cinnamon scent and moderate to low spice. Jeera rice is available and very well made and spiced. Coconut and saffron are both on the menu. I tried a mutter gravy dish and a Paneer gravy. The mutter was spicy but not over done and had great flavours. The Paneer stole the show, more chunks of paneer cheese in a serving than Sheeshu s despite being half the size. Both Gravies were about 1/2 the size but were also between $12 and $14 dollars so about $3-$5 cheaper than other restaurants in GP. Absolutely loved this place, also the dine in is small quaint and very clean with water carafes at the tables. No liquor options though Vegetarian options: This is a vegetarian restaurant and there is no worry of ordering meals contaminated or containing meat

Ive been here at least 5 times in total with 2 different people within 2 weeks. The ambiance was unique in contrast to Grande Prairies typical commercial restaurant selection. This one had culture. I like the colour arrangement and decor. And there is often a movie playing without subtitles, which I enjoy. The food is tasty, and is nicely priced. I liked their chai tea especially. The staff is pleasant. And if they are busy, or out of view. Be patient, or ring the bell. They seem to be accomodating. They do mention speaking to staff about food allergies. However, an improvement that would be nice to see is allergy symbols or letters designating food that is free from: Gluten, dairy, etc. I will definitely be back. Even if just for their tea :) Dietary restrictions: I didnt see any options listed on the menu. So, ask.

Placed a take out order and gave some specific instructions. Was willing to pay extra price if there was any still my order was not made the way I asked. For reference that s what they give me in name of butter naan with extra butter. No butter at all. Plus this is not the first time I have had bad experience there.

My new stop for dinner or lunch in grand prarie from past two times. The atmosphere is very nice over here it feels like sitting in India and having food. The staff is also very good and the food is delicious.

This is my 1st time reviewing a restaurant. But they have won me over. I enjoyed a chai and the paneer lababdar with the plain naan. 1000/100. I could smell what seemed to be onions on the chai cup tho my nose may deceive me because new to me type spices. but it did not stop me at all from enjoying it. I could go there everyday and be a very very happy man and never tire of it. All in all it tasted like a home cooked meal from a home I didn t even know I was apart of. Keep up the great wonderful work thank you people who work there. i Can t wait to try everything else on the menu I d do it all in one sitting if had the gutzzzz. Never mind I guess my second time reviewing, first time was for an online friend 7years ago.

We have tried nearly every dish on the menu. Our favorites are chole bhature, anything tandoori or with paneer. All the foods are fresh cooked, amazing quality and tastes delicious. To show how much we like their food, we eat or get take out 2-3 times per week!

They don t have any vents in here or if they have, they don t use. All kitchen air straight comes to the actual sitting area. The food is good but I must say, I was not able to even sit there because of all the smoke coming from kitchen. So suffocating

Seeing a new restaurant in the downtown core, and being hungry from missing eating all day, I decided to give Shree Jee a chance. I am somewhat familiar with Indian food, but I was surprised to learn they were a strictly vegetarian restaurant. I was too far along to back out at this point, so I prepared for disappointment. I was NOT. The waitress was kind and understanding and helped me to navigate the menu. She introduced me to an amazing rice dish made with all sorts of delicious spices... and the most refreshing touch of mint. I also got to try a hearty, creamy onion stew with paneer whose name I wish I could remember because it filled me up and complimented the rice very nicely. Even the yogurt tzazikki was fresh made that day and was pouring forth with rich flavour. When I asked the waitress Why vegetarian? She pointed to a painting on the wall of a farmer using a pair of yak to drive a cart carrying presumably his family. While looking at the painting, she explained that animals work and live beside people, and that where she is from, they are respected and treated like family. Being a pet owner and a dog lover, it is difficult for me to find an argument. Make sure you are expecting a vegetarian experience when you visit. You will be presented with a feast of wonderfully exotic flavors you wont soon forget. Vegetarian options: This restaurant is strictly vegetarian. I did not know this coming in. Simply be aware that you will not be able to order meat dishes at this place.

Absolutely delicious food.I think paneer Manchurian can be improved little bit. It didnt taste authentic. But other dishes are delicious and authentic. Lots of options for vegetarians thats great. I think since located in downtown is stuff to get a parking spot for dine in.

Oh my, Grande Prairies, and arguably Albertas, best indian food. Seems like a bold claim but its that outstanding. The order: Dal makhani, zeera rice, kesar kheer and a papad. This is officially the go-to for indian. Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options, the menu offers many choices without meat.

This restaurant has the best Indian food I have had in Alberta, I highly reccomended the Methi Malai chaap . Portion size is quite generous so be careful when placing an order while hungry (I probably have a weeks worth of food now lol). The food I had was the best vegetarian meal Ive had in Canada, good enough that Im now considering becoming a vegetarian so I have an excuse to eat food from here more often haha. We went to the Shri ji, Grande Prairie and waited in waiting area. A staff member didn t approach to us and continued taking table orders constantly for three times. There were two another staff members including a server and one man seemed like working in the kitchen came out respectively, and they ignored us. We remained there for good ten minutes and came back home. I guess we spent 10-15 minutes to find parking for this restaurant and got disappointed with lousy hospitality. We will never recommend anyone to go there and get insulted. I would have stares -5 if there would have been an option. Management needs to head up for future.

Visited Shree Jee with my Wife the other day, tried the Masala Dosa, Veg Manchow Soup & Rabdi Malpua. Everything was very delicious and the Rabdi was very rich in flavour. The owner Jagdeep & his wife is present on the floor to ensure everything is on spot. Aneesh served me a very kind & professional server. Good authentic Indian Ambience & Bollywood music. Couldn t capture the Dosa and Soup, was super hungry LOFL !!
