Will add photos next time! Amazing food and portions so big! Consistently high quality every time. We go there almost every week and we live all the way out in Grande Cache! Service and atmosphere soooooo friendly and relaxed and they really get to know people personally and our regular favs! They have this special tofu in this crazy different amazing thick sauce and I cannot pinpoint it but I must have it every time. Hubby and I and our 2 boys love it here too!

No greeting or instructions when entered the building, made eye contact with two different servers but was ignored. being busy shouldn t be an excuse. Got the wrong orders and missing items and the wrong order plus the missing item should not have been on the bill in the first place, was in GP for work to have some dinner, if you re here for work, would not recommend this place. It seems like they only want a party of two for the money. Embarrassing

I have had Pho in two countries over countless restaurants for over 15 years. This restaurant has THE BEST pho I have ever had the privilege of enjoying. To the chef of Tayo, I respectfully salute you Only eat here if you want to experience the pho of a lifetime.

I visit my family and clients in Grande Prairie often. Tayo is definitely our familys favourite restaurant in GP. Willy and his team are always so friendly and go out of their way to remember us and make us feel welcome. I always order the Spicy Sate Beef soup. Soooo good! I do love their ginger beef, salad rolls, and they make the BEST coconut rice that any of us have ever had. Delicious!

First of all our server, Wayne, was absolutely top notch! The satay (#40) I had was delicious and large enough to feed me supper yesterday and lunch today!

Food was okay. Service was terrible. My friend had already paid the bill. We were asked to pay again. When we told them it was paid, the girl started going back and forth. Once it was confirmed it was paid for she just frowned upon us and behaved poorly. Not good service.

This place is the best in town!!!! Just finished supper there on a very busy Valentines night and we STILL got awesome service and delicious food!!! It s never disappointed us but tonight was an extra treat. I can t recommend it highly enough. Go now!!!!

Service was slow. The noodles in my soup were so overdone they were basically paste and fell apart when you tried to pick them up with your chopsticks. The sate broth was bland as it seemed to need salt or something to boost the flavour. The soup also had an unpleasant aftertaste. I ended up not being able to eat it due to it being a texture nightmare.

Hands down the best restaurant in Grande Prairie. It can be busy at lunch, however that is just a testament to the quality of food. The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. The beef pho and spicy peanut satay are must try.

YEAASSSSS PLEASE!!! Fricken DELICIOUS!!! My first time there, my friend J.Z. took me there and wow, now on my favourite restaurant short list! One of the owners was there to serve us, all of the staff was polite and kind. We waited an appropriate amount of time for our food to be made from what mustve been made, per order, because it tasted super fresh . Their salad rolls were very crisp, their sauce for it was light and tasty. Their green curry was just the right amount of a little bit spicy, but definitely enjoyable. I also enjoyed their satay soup! I am looking forward to going back and trying more! On a side note: Everything appeared very clean. They also have relaxing and visually appealing decor . Thank you for the great service and fantastic food!

My mother and I had lunch here Jan 19th 2024 and both experienced the most awful food poisoning. We both had number 19, one with spicy peanut broth and one with the regular.

Worst Vietnamese food I have ever had. My husband and I ordered the shrimp wontons as an appy and they weren t awful. I ordered the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl with the spring rolls. It came out bland looking (I.e meat was white and not charred or browned at all) and was smothered in what seemed like bottled sauce, which was slimy and gross. I couldn t even finish it and I love to eat. Spring rolls were very dark brown and tasted like what I imagine deep fried dog food would taste like. Paid $70 for the two of us. So bad.

I work in GP a lot and was having a craving for Vietnamese. Google led me here and I m sure glad it did ! I ordered take out. The #41 Vermicelli noodle with shrimp, chicken, beef and the pork rolls. It was fast and friendly service. The restaurant looked new and very welcoming and clean. Staff was pleasant. The food tasted so fresh. Everything was delicious and a huge portion. I will be a regular for sure. If you haven t tried this place don t wait !

We stopped in for the first time today. I had a craving for wonton soup and heard this was the best in GP. My husband and I had the Wor Wonton and it was a huge bowl, lots of veggies and chicken and plenty of Won Ton dumplings, it was soooooo good!! The downside is the service was really lacking. We saw our Server to take our order and bring our food but we never got the cokes we asked for or any refills on our water despite her coming by our table multiple times. They were busy and she looked like she was the only server at the time, so I understand but it kind of sucked when you re eating hot food a cold drink is nice. When we went to check out they still had the cokes on our bill so I had to ask the nice young man to take them off. We will be back for sure though!

Tayo is our fav! Their peanut sate pho soup is seriously the best Vietnamese dish I ve ever had - and I come from Ottawa, where Vietnamese cuisine is huge! We often takeout, but the dine in experience is also great, sometimes slow when they re understaffed, but they re always so friendly, that it s never bothered me. 10/10!

June 2023 So just an update, I did return as I said I would on my next trip and just like before I stand by my assessment. Great Vietnamese food in an unlikely location up north. August 2022 So I recently ended up in Grande Prairie and was looking for a place to eat. I love Vietnamese food so I thought I d give this place a try. Walking in wasn t impressive as it was my first time seeing a Vietnamese place manned by a couple of teenage girls with blond hair. Boy was I wrong. These ladies new their menu inside out. I order my usual fare in a similar setting. Egg rolls, salad rolls and pho. Highly typical order. I really had low expectations because I would have thought that the flavours would be changed to make it more simple to appease the crowds. Yup, I was wrong a second time. The food was amazing. This is food I would expect in Calgary s Vietnamese quarter. Simply amazing. The price was higher but that s to be expected up north. Here are my negatives that may have been affected by Covid. There were no accompanying condiments and you had to ask for them every time. Hoisin sauce, chilli oil, chilli paste, hot sauce are missing from the tables. This didn t change my score though as it s a great precautionary method. I m going to visit this place every time I go to GP.

I m so sad that we just found out about this place a month or so ago. What an amazing find! We probably order once a week now. The Spicy Sate Chicken Rice Noodle Soup. Wow is all I can say. Everything else so far has been really amazing as well. Not only is the food always top notch, the staff are always so friendly and so welcoming. I m sad there isn t enough staff to make the chili chicken, but you can bet as soon as it s available, we re all over it.

I m giving 4 stars because my fiancé absolutely raves about their Pho soups. I usually would order a rice dish but they don t seem to make any stir fry s anymore which is very unfortunate. In my most recent visit I ordered a wonton soup and my soup had rice noodles but no wontons at all.

I wish I left my review sooner, but it seems best suited as I received the most wholesome service from the team at Tayo this evening. Since moving to GP, Ive been coming to Tayo almost every weekend - without hesitation! My last order was missing an item and Willie rest assured it would be rectified the next time I visited and he did not skip a beat. I walked in and he recognized me right away, greeted me and would not let me leave without rectifying the mistake from the last order. Rest assured, the mistake from the last order wouldve never stopped me from coming back, but his way of fixing it and making it right was by far the most wholesome experience Ive encountered in a long time. From the starters, to pho and to rice dishes - Ive tried a few different things and theyve all been extremely flavorful, were very generous portions and well packed when doing take out. Also, a big shout out to the team members that assist with check out! They are extremely kind, they are always so friendly and soft spoken. Thank you to the team at Tayo, you are truly amazing.

I went again here after not going for a couple years. The menu is different but Im surprised that the food is still very good. I got a lemongrass chicken and spring roll com dish. The chicken came in a good quantity and was tasty and tender - the lemongrass couldve been stronger but it was there. Broken rice was used. The nuoc mam was actually pretty good. Flavour could have been stronger overall. Spring rolls were good. And Im surprised that their prices are still reasonable. No banh mi on the menu, sadly.

Went for supper with some friends and ordered number 36. It was absolutely amazing but even better was the service. Jewel was an incredible server and was always fast and efficient. I could not have asked for a better server.

The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Whenever Im in the area for a long period on a job I go as frequently as I can. The spicy peanut sate pho number 35 is my personal favorite. If you like pho, or just a nice flavorful hot soup, do yourself a favor and go to Tayo. Kid-friendliness: Every time I go theres at least one child there and more often than not it seems a kid under 2!

Cannot thank the staff here enough. Picked up a to go order and someone managed to lock my keys in the car, they went above any beyond with their customer service, kindness, and hospitality. One of the workers there even offered to give me a ride to get a spare key, the food was exceptional aswell. Will be recommending and returning!

The food here is really good and good prices to. I ordered chicken noodle soup and a beer my friend had the spicey sate chicken pho. We both found the sate chicken pho was good but to much peanut sauce making it to sweet but still pretty good. Every other thing I had was great here, The service however is really bad, slow and forget things. EXCEPT the one guy that works here full time he is a great server, goes above and beyond but the younger two are horrible. The younger guy never came around and when he did it took forever. He forgot my second beer I ordered but charged me for it anyways.

Great Pho! The place is nice inside and not too crowded. Pretty big menu as well. And yes they have bubble tea. The satay peanut broth pho is my favourite. #37 on the menu.

I called 25 minutes before closing time and they still accepted my delivery order happily! They happily added baby corn for my son (his odd request). Came really fast at my door and was super friendly! Overall AMAZING FOOD and OVER THE TOP customer service. Will always come back here.

Ordered online today as a special lunch due to the great reviews. However, the order took almost 2 hours to arrive. Everything was cold except for the bubble tea, which was warm. Very, very disappointing. I also asked for no fish sauce and extra peanut sauce and/or hoisin and none of that was done. The delivery driver was also unaware of which hotel to deliver to (I listed it in the order twice) which probably contributed to the cold food as well. :(

This is my boyfriend and Is favorite place to order take out, the food is ALWAYS delicious. I always order the number 78, and my boyfriend orders 68, we have never been disappointed, not once. Its always nerve racking to try new foods but I 100% recommend trying Tayo !! We will continue to eat here until we move !! The customer service when we go pick up the food is great, the atmosphere in the restaurant gives off good vibes. Its always busy, whether its people dining in, or ordering take out !! I hope this restaurant stays in business for a long, long time.

I was here now at 8:09 pm and waiting for the seat with 3 people. No one was greeting so I was asking one of male waiter to help our seat. He said they will be closing in 20 mins, and cannot take more guests now. I told him it is still 8:09 pm and google shows you guys closing at 9:00 pm, we still have like almost an hour. He is certain that it is better not to take any guest now for lessen kitchen.. I just don t get it..! There are people on the table about to finish their dinner and going. I ve never seen restaurant does not take guest an hour ahead of time. He has long blonde and a wearing glass. I don t know what kind of people working there but seriously, I don t believe your google score is 4.8 if serving attitude toward guest continues like this. I will never recommend this place to anyone. If you guys want to close kitchen earlier or make less work for kitchen not until 9:00 pm, why dont you just change your closing time to 8:00 or 8:30 pm? Ive never experienced any of restaurant close kitchen earlier than their official closing time in anywhere in Canada except the place having a bar. Well... you guys surely dont have a bar in the restaurant. If it was written on Google, I rather order the food from you instead going to the restaurant. Or any sincere apology from staff regarding the busy situation, I would definitely understand, and not so mad about the service. What a bad experience I had tonight..!

I don t have a single bad thing to say about Tayo! Food is always delicious and the portions are huge, staff is super nice and friendly, owners are amazing! The chicken gyoza is delicious, spicy peanut broth is always a good choice on a cold day and the lemongrass chicken is to die for! Tayo continues to be our go to restaurant all around. We even went there for our anniversary! 10/10 recommended!

Pho House sucks now, this place is way better

Very good service and made quickly. I had the teriyaki chicken stir fry and it was the best stir fry I ve had in years I will definitely go back again. There portion was also large enough that I will be eating the leftovers for supper tomorrow night. I highly recommend this place!

Bar none the best pho/subs ive ever had. Ive eaten pho for a very long time, and saying that if you come across this place, you must try it. I live in calgary, travel for work, and consiter pho as my favorite food; so believe me when I tell you that this place is amazing. Long wait for food, be prepared as they have a lot of orders leaving at once, but it is worth the wait.

This is the best takeout meal we ve had in awhile! Definitely recommend this Vietnamese restaurant. Staying overnight on business and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. So glad we did! We had the lemongrass chicken with spring rolls on vermicelli. So fresh and the chicken was very flavourful. Our meal was delivered hot, on time and by super nice staff!

Ok, this is where real pho is made, perfect flavor, perfect balance of soup to veggie and meat, best to top it off the perfect price range too feed an army. The service kinda sucked because they couldnt figure out how to clear tables quick enough, and wasnt attentive to the needs of the customers for refills or check ins on how clients were doing. Watched a family wait for tables to be cleared. The decor was nice but fix your process. If you have too, go visit other establishments and learn what others are doing. Keep up the good work on the food .

I have eaten here many times. I rarely review anything but Willy and his team are very friendly and making some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. Tremendous salad rolls and sate soup is amazing. Work your way thru the whole menu is my recommendation. Have taken co workers and family - everyone loves it. Best restaurant in GP!
