Boring and outdated waitress was polite and friendly. Bathroom need work door on stall doesn't lock only 1 of the 3 sinks work. Food looked good but flavor needs work. over spiced fries not enough spices on the oil slick burger. Salad was somewhat fresh. Over all it was ok. I would come back again just to see the waitresses smile.

I've been here in GP for the month but This place has great food. Atmosphere is the usual bar type we get in toronto. But the service is great. Usually I get forgotten cause usually I'm just by myself but the server was polite and attentive never skipped a beat. Always made eye contact. I'll be back. She was right about the eggs Benny. Sauce was delicious
I really like the aesthetic. The server was very friendly and nice to deal with. I was in a big rush yesterday, had to be in Sexsmith for 1:00, tight schedule yesterday. I had my friend order for me before I got there, and mentioned I was in a hurry when I did arrive. My friend ordered me a beef dip and fries. Well, about 30 minutes after he ordered I told the server to cancel my order I had to leave. She checked to see how long, came back and said "one minute". Well, it was one minute, and I was in a hurry, and wound up being late by those couple extra minutes. My fault for agreeing to wait, I should have just left. Ok first, the beef dip and au jus was Really Good. I was surprised because I usually avoid the Den because I've had numerous disappointing meals there over the years. This was great, thank you. The fries were appallingly bad. In my youth I worked a few different restaurants, change you fryer oil! Google my choice of word, appalling, I am not exaggerating. How you manage fries that are super brown on the outside, have a burnt oil flavour, and limp mush on the inside... One of them had that look where a couple fries fall out of the basket and land on the slide/ramp/guide thing that the help the baskets fall back into the fryer, and then the fries sit partially in the oil and the tips burn, so you get half inch of totally burnt fry, and the rest is soft and defrosted but not cooked. Well, none of them were cooked, but that particular one told me the guy scooped up the crap from the ramp and included it in my order. I like your restaurant, I appreciate the last bunch of years have been hard, and I like the way you have supported many local non profits and such over the years, I'll be back over the years, and the beef dip really was excellent. But when I'm in a hurry, either hussle up or just tell me it can't be done, that would have been totally fine as well
Went for lunch on the patio. Wings were half off and delicious. The nachos could use more toppings and cheese wasn’t fully melted. Servers were super great
Battered mushrooms are fantastic. Went there with a buddy first time and it was a cool spot and we loved it. Went back and this time took another friend with me. Excellent spot, I'm a return customer 100%

Awesome little pub! Staying in GP for work and wandered over and tried the Steakhouse Bison burger. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. 6.50 Budweiser and Bud Lite on Saturdays. Frosty pint glasses and their draught beer tastes clean. 10/10 visit. Would come again.

We bought 5 tickets for the Randy s cheeseburger picnic event.. was terrible.. we got there a hour early and no seating available! Why sell so many tickets if you don t have capacity? Also the service was probly the worst I ve ever had and my dog wouldn t even eat that food.. hands down the worst place in g.p.. save your time and money and go somewhere else people

On Friday, January 26, at 10:00 pm, we received from the girl at the entrance the worst treatment and customer service that I have experienced in Canada. A girl with glasses and black hair, who is in charge of registering people who arrive, was too rude. Heres the story: We had an outing with friends and after being in a restaurant eating and having a few drinks, we wanted to dance and continue the night. We decided to go to the Den despite the bad comments that come from there. When we arrived we registered but one of my friends didnt have ID, she had left it at home. She is 40 years old, it is not common for her to ask for ID. We told the girl that if she could make an exception, we were really looking to have fun, we were 10 women and 2 men (between 30 and 50 years old). The girl at the entrance said it was impossible because if we brought a weapon or drugs, they needed to have a record of us. I understand that they should do it but there are cases of cases... the girl responded badly to anything we asked, she was even rude when she told us about the ID. We stood at the entrance debating what to do... it was cold outside and there was no one waiting to enter. The girl YELLED AT US TO GET OUT OF THERE WE WERE IN THE WAY She said GET AWAY NOW . Hey what is this? We got too upset. We are not girls. We were well-dressed, well-groomed women with organized lives. We dont deserve that treatment, plus the entrance and the place were empty. Too disappointed in their customer service staff. They need good training in kindness and respect for people older than them and potential customers.

I always tip and generously as I have been a waitress before . I didnt tip . The service was horrible . She barely came to our table, and when she did, she seemed irritated and bothered she had to . She was so busy gossiping with the other girl there . Even to leave to pay, we stood there as they gossiping and had to ask for a box for the pizza . She rudly grabs and shoves it towards me, all irrated looking . Then we I go back to my table and box his pizza for him . As we were leaving, she loudly said how rude no tip to her coworker she was gossiping with the whole time . There were three other people there it wasnt busy and two waitresses. I had coffee, and she cared less about refilling it. I had to ask after trying hard to get her attention. She would walk by. Id try, and she kept walking . I finally got a refill . We were the only table in that section....
Valentines Day. A friend asked me (widowed) to join a group for the special dinner. She reserved for 5, me being the single. I was single-shamed and told it was for couples and I would have to pay double. Outrageous discrimination and prejudice! After several managers were involved it was finally decided I could pay for one meal instead of two. It was absolutely delicious but still left a bad taste in my mouth. Come on Den management, you can do better. Food was 5 star so hats off to the chef!

Service staff were great. Unfortunately turns into a night club at 10. I went for a pint and to watch the hockey game. Not really a Pub but more of a Bar/Nightclub feel.
Weve gone several times and the fiod was good but Dec. 19th was much different. The steak special was awful. It was sent back twice because it was not edible. It was cold and was had a weird wet juice all over it that tasted like very bitter char. Very disappointed.
Only know it as a night club. Itd good and Im giving it 5 stars because they are one of the great ghosts of the GP night scene that is still fighting the good fight.
The chicken wings taste like cardboard and the vegetables had mould growing on them.. still charged full price with no apologies buyer beware
Good food, good atmosphere. No one wears a uniform, so it can be hard to tell who your server is, but all in all, a good spot. Try the spicy dill boneless wings with dill dip and the pub fries with gravy!

We ordered the monday steak special. The cook must have had a smoke break while our steaks were cooking, as all 5 of us at our table got steaks overdone and some charred. But normally they are alright, so must have just been a bad night.

Fish was undercooked and in on spot still cold also the batter was still mucky.

Unfortunately got a very rude bartender (the only older man behind the counter tonight) who literally complained to the customers beside us that we didn t tip after making us a lemon drop that we previously had made by a different bartender who had no problems and was happy to serve us. me and two of my other girlfriends had been buying drinks all evening so we skipped on a couple tips but why are you charging separately when we order 3 shots and 3 drinks together anyways .. and then treating us badly as if that wouldn t affect my night ?
There was someone throwing up In the bathroom and it was me and my buddies problem. And we got thrown out for no reason except for being present for the ordeal! Stupid management!!

I love every single thing there is about this place. Ive been going to The Lions Den since 2005 and I havent found a single thing to complain about. Fantastic food, excellent choice of domestic and craft beers and the staff and entertainment always make you want to come back for more. The most sociable pub in Grande Prairie always makes me feel like family. I cant wait to go back already! Cheers!
Service was really good, was good I have had better but for a pub it rates up there for quality food. Would recommend for a place to watch a game, or just a few chill beers with the boys.
Went on an event night, was extremely packed but overall everything went really well, lots of staff on hand to deal with all the people.
My first time to the Den since they moved to New location. Overall, it was a great experience. Food was delicious and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Service was fabulous; she gave great suggestions and was sure to check on us. Only thing I didnt love was the noise level. I was in around 530ish and did find it hard to hear my friend at times. So if youre looking for a place to have deep, meaningful conversation.... You may want to ensure you get a corner booth! Lol

Great place to go on weekends, probably the only place for a safer night life experience in GP. Definitely making good use of the old building. Could hire more bartenders but understandably would get a bit crowded. Little expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere when you go.

The food and drinks are always good. Our server was so ditzy and couldnt get any order straight because she would not shut up the entire time we were trying to order. Screwed up an order of veggies for one person, an order of wings for another, and one of my drinks.
I am not a fan at all couldnt get our order correct and waited over 2 hrs for our food and my food was burnt it was a steak sandwich I personally wont be going back their prices are very high for small portions takes for ever to get your food

First time to the Den in a long time and I gotta say its back baby! The atmosphere transitions nicely from supper time into party time. The dance space and live music is just right. Lots of table space and a nice layout that makes it easy to move around but also guarantees that you run into your long lost friends. Waitresses are prompt and friendly. Bathrooms are clean.

First time Ive been to The Den since is relocated, and I absolutely loved the experience! The entire place was opened up, and looks fantastic! I met a friend for drinks, and they where fantastic! I had a long island iced tea, very good. Will return for drinks here!

Met a friend for drinks, sat at the bar, service was great, and the wings were good. My reason for the 3 starts is my takeout order crab dip was absolutely awful, fishy and smelled like fish, not anything like other crab dips I ve had. both my husband and I only ate 1 bite and had to toss it, for $19/ don t waste your money on this appetizer. Yuck.
