We ordered some pouties and a chicken burger. The best burger I ever had and fresh fries. Great experience. Highly recommended

This is a total hidden gem! Went for Mothers Day and was treated like a queen. Along side the MASSIVE portion, the service was top tier. They even threw in some complimentary cheese cake which was delicious! Highly, highly recommend.

This places is seriously amazing. My family and I just stumbled across it today . Popped in for a poutine and it was hands down best customer service . Not even to mention the portions were bigger than my head . The buffalo cauliflour best in GP definitely will be returning.

Went from best poutine in gp to the worst. Soggy undercooked fries, 10$ for a frozen burger patty. Better off cooking for yourself.

To be honest, I use to come here regularly but havent been since the ownership changed. I just didnt know if it would be as good. ANYWAY..... I just had their Galvod poutine which I have had before. Geeesh it was so good. Like even better than I was expecting. Well done guys! Will be back! My tummy is full, my craving was satisfied and Im happy :)

Large poutine. Portion size is awesome aparently I shoulda payed for extra cheese cause theres only cheese on top the other 80% is fries and gravy. Maybe layer cheese for your large?

No endless pop,in cans,suspect soda machine not operating. Tv was on Latin channel except were not Latin so dont speak Spanish. Its self serve but tip still prompted . Cheese burger was fresh, chips were not that appealing skins left on I think. Would be better if they made their fries fresh daily. Wife likes poutine but just so so again fries were not appealing. Staff very nice. I really did patronize a restaurant in vancouver weekly as they flew in Montreal smoked meat and did up a really nice sandwich on fresh rye bread with homemade coleslaw and 2 giant dill pickles. This is what drew people in once a week for their sandwich. Wish they did something like that with their sandwich here in GP. Place was immaculate although not much ambiance. Apparently new owners hope they can improve. Great people. Parking: Lots

Not impressed. Ordered the meat lovers poutine. Supposed to have bacon smoked meat and ham. I got the bacon and maybe the smoked meat idk... But I got hot dogs in it... hot dogs are basically dog food. How can you possible justify putting them in a meal without disclosing it has hot dog in it. I literally would have just gotten something else. On top of that I just did not enjoy the meal. Im sure some people would like it but I found the gravy to be super oily and the meat was so salty I couldnt finish. My gf got the pulled pork poutine, and it was better. But still not something I enjoyed. I only tried a few bites and the pulled pork was bland and again the gravy was very oily. Not sure that I will be eating here again

I just recently had poutine for the first time and loved it. The other day t brought me to the Wild Rose and it was really good. We made another trip into Grand Prairie before we left and I came back to get another poutine before going back to Arkansas. I will definitely come back again. I had the hamburger poutine and the famous poutine.

Check your receipt at check out, room was fine. Old place but was decent. Good pricing. ----- update some time later ---- And I should say the owner corrected this - eventually for me to my satisfaction. I was fair, firm and persistent, and eventually got another night ... this wouldnt have worked for a one time visitor to GP., check your receipts and the agent at check out.

This place is amazing. If I could give it more stars I would. I love it. Everything about them. Their poutines are filling on their own. If you havent tryed you gotta youre missing out if you dont.

It was ok. Better then Costco poutine I guess, but nothing to write home about. Staff were friendly. Big portions, but not cheap. I might try a different one some day, but wont go out of my way.

Looking for some great food for the family and enjoy specialty poutine you have come to the right place. Staff are very welcoming and super helpful to navigate the large selection of Poutines. Kids meals are perfectly sized and made to order for the picky ones. If you haven t eaten here even ones I say give them a try.

I had the meat lovers pizza,it was very good, lots of sauce,toppings,cheese, the crust was very well done, I highly recommend it, the last time I was there, I had the montreal smoked meat club house it was damb good.

Good food and service, very clean. We had single burgers with cheese and mushrooms and shared fries with gravy.

Excellent food have ordered here many times since they have been open. Went for a sit down which is usually hard with our youngest we were greeted instantly and give a small snack plate for our baby free of charge. The meat here is of amazing quality they even use local food if possible. The secret is their fries. They are perfect. Dont get me wrong their gravys amazing as well but their fries bring everything together. I have tried their club wrap as well which is delicious and a huge portion for a great price. Highly recommend them.

Was genuinely excited to give it a try, but more hype than flavour unfortunately. Ordered loaded poutine, and it just ended up tasting like unsalted gravy soup. Was expecting cheese curds, was given shredded cheese instead.

I always love visiting this place. I ordered the pizza to try it out because it is relatively new. The kitchen was swamped, so Eric ended up giving me a hot dog and poutine to tide me over while it was being made. Good problem solving when things go slightly sideways! Oh and the pizza was great!

Wild Rose was a very quaint, tidy establishment. The poutine was definitely made well, and had average flavoring for my taste buds (I had an original style). The burger I ate was not anything super special but it did the trick. The staff working were very polite, attentive, and pleasant to talk to. All in all, while it was not the best meal I have ever had, I definitely would go back again. To be honest I think if I wouldve had their famous poutine, this review may have been written with higher praise. Another time I guess.

Great poutine

the INN is changing with the times, and rooms are upgraded with more being done. there are a few smoking rooms and one of the last places that offer this. the mall is right across the street, along with majors restaurant down the road a block and a half. several chain restaurants as well across and nearby. block heater and interior fan plug ins for the winter. free wifi and the on site restaurant will be opening shortly. staff are friendly and helpful. we are among the lowest of rates in GP and we do take care of the oil field workers and have weekly and beyond rates, that no other business in town can touch. it cant hurt to spend a night and see before you commit. ill post some pics later when i have the chance. oh and we have a couple pet friendly rooms too. they go fast though, and once they are gone they are gone. no negotiation and its known how good your pet is and how well trained and smart too, but policy is policy. :D call ahead to discuss details. the smaller the dog the better, and cujo might not get yo uguys in. just sayin

Okay, something went wrong....... The last time I ate at Wild Rose, the food and service was absolutely amazing. I dont know if the restaurant has changed owners, but the menu certainly has; it used to be a la carte for most menu items. Now it seems its largely meals - which really isnt that big of a deal to me, since I typically order a meal anyway, and you can customize your meal almost anyway you like. The restaurant is still clean and well appointed, and the owner is friendly. They do offer delivery - which is always a good option. When I entered the restaurant, I was the only patron, followed a few minutes later by another customer. Several minutes later, two more customers, followed by two more a few minutes later. There had been a for delivery order that was being cooked as I awaited my turn to order, but based on the size of the order picked up by the delivery driver, it was not a massive order. I ordered Meal #1, but upgraded my fries to poutine, and my burger to include bacon and cheese. I am not a chef, but with a hot griddle/grill and fryer with pre-heated oil in front of me ready to go, I could put this meal together in about 7 minutes. 25 minutes later, I received my meal (roughly 4 minutes after customer #2 received his meal #3 and walked out the door). Realistically, I was telling myself, the food is really good here; its worth the wait. (I was basing this thinking on the last time I ate at Wild Rose). On two separate occasions, the owner informed the cook that orders were falling behind, and that I had been waiting for my burger for a long time as well. I arrived at work excited to dig into my meal before my shift. The poutine was excellent as usual.....and they use genuine cheese curds, not substituting mozzarella for the original thing. Then I got to the burger. If I recall correctly, the burger I was served in February of this year was a smashburger, made with a hand-formed and pressed burger, cooked to barely just done, and JUICY. What I was eating, between the way overdone pre-formed beef patty and equally overdone bacon was nothing short of boot leather. I can usually power my way through almost any tough cut of meat, but I abandoned ship on this burger not even half way through. My jaws literally hurt from chewing through this burger. As you can see by the attached photo, the right side of the picture is the beef patty, the left side of the picture is the bacon. I feel the biggest insult is that Wild Rose obtains there meat from Blackmans Butcher Shop, and I know from personal experience that even their pre-formed beef patties are highest quality and delectable. To take a perfectly good chunk of meat and destroy it like it was today should be a crime. On the plus side, the burger bun was soft, and they use the near-perfect ratio of onions, mayonnaise, and mustard that provides that unmistaken diner taste. I would certainly entertain the idea of returning to Wild Rose for their poutine; lots of choices for toppings and flavours. Until Wild Rose can hire a cook who can handle more than 6 uncomplicated orders in under half an hour, I think Ill be avoiding the burgers for the near future.
