I always buy here every week, and I noticed that the woman who worked here was always the same woman, which I didn t realize until we became close. She is super kind and very approachable, and she makes sushi quickly. I like that she always smiles. Even though there were only two people working and it was busy, she managed it well.

I always buy here twice or thrice every week. I always call before I order; I like their service, especially this tall guy and the woman with blonde hair. They make my sushi very fast, and it s very yummy! Their party tray is really good for occasions!

I love ordering here! Me and my son order the favourite combo and it s perfect for us! Every time I go in I get FANTASTIC service, and AMAZING food!! Thank you to all your staff for the wonderful work you do! Will continue to sometime and time again!

I have to eat gluten free. Thats difficult when the serving staff dont speak fluent English and cant understand me. I asked them if the sauce in the Saskatoon roll contained any wheat they they looked at me silent and confused, so I repeated and repeated and explained my sensitivity. Eventually, they just said yes meaning contains wheat I assumed so I said Okay, Ill just order ____ and _____ then forgoing the Saskatoon roll. That wasnt understood either, I guess, because the Saskatoon roll came and I was so hungry, I just ate it. Now Im going to ache in my joints. I was surprised that then a 3rd dish got presented to me. Instead of taking off the Saskatoon roll like I asked for, they gave me all 3 mentioned dishes. I wasnt charged thankfully, but I think there is a serious language barrier here. Friendly staff, but thats irrelevant if you cant converse with them.

My kids wanted sushi, noodles,steamed bun and chicken wings for lunch. My daughters bf wanted Ramen noodles which the pic looked delish with beef. They said no beef ran out, so he got a bowl less then half full of noodles in brown water with one piece of pork in it and no flavor. Youngest wanted steamed bun and they also said ran out of that. The chicken wings came in one big battered clump and I said this is not what I was expecting, his reply was my friend in the back doesnt really work here and doesnt usually cook. The sushi were as around as a nickle. Definitely cant communicate with them as they sticking translating app in my face. Never going back . Waste of almost 100$.. I asked for plum sauce for my spring roll and they didnt know what I was talking about. Had to go up and ask for cutlery, all wooden. Almost 2hrs until we got our order that the they brought put 1at a time. I DO NOT recommend this place, zero stars!

It had been a few years since I came to this restaurant. Had a not so great experience last time. Decided to give it another try. It was worse than the reason I stopped coming here. The sushi rice did not taste like sushi rice. It tasted like days old rice that was stale. Couldnt even taste the vinegar. Got a platter. Cant remember the name of the one with the cream cheese, but, so much cream cheese. It was a $30 plate dine in that got fed to the dog. I love sushi, even cheap sushi, looking at you Edo for ruining that.. This was a very disappointing experience.

The wife and I were looking for Poke bowls or Chirashi Don, so I stopped in here. Although they had not made a salmon or tuna poke before, both the host and sushi chef were extremely charming, accomodating, and so nice. They ended up making us to fabulous Pokes, one with salmon and one with mixed seafood. We couldn t be happier and truly enjoyed the service and the food. We will be back for sure! Also their Wednesday wing special was delicious!

The people that work at this place are amazing, customer service was the best Ive ever had. I enjoyed that the owners engaged in small talk, however when I tried their bubble tea the first time the tapioca was not to my liking and the second time the tapioca was hard in the center, my first assumption was that the tapioca wasnt prepared accurately, but over all I enjoyed ever second spent in this restaurant.

I ordered their most popular Ramen and Alaskan rolls. The rolls were tiny the salmon was paper thin. The Ramen was unedible! This place makes very cheap food for a very high price. Stay away.

Ordered 3 different kinds of rolls. All of them bland and mushy. The tuna roll stank of old fish so bad. Just threw 30$ worth of sushi in the garbage. Maybe they were having a bad day. Wouldnt recommend

Who cooked the rice?tasted like 5 days old..and didnt put anything.They have to put sugar and vinegar.too much rice small salmon. Shame on you.

Ordered salad rolls. For $5 got one salad roll which isnt so bad but it had one single shrimp split in half between the two halves. Came with sweet chili sauce rather than the typical hoisin peanut sauce. No vermicelli noodles. Overall edible but not great. Wonton soup extremely bland. Glad I asked for soy sauce to give it some taste. Im 100% sure the wontons are the frozen chicken cilantro wontons from Costco as they look exactly the same and taste heavily of cilantro. Are clearly not pork. They were mushy and overall not good. Waste of $14. Should have gotten Edo Japan or something.

I wasnt a fan of the spring rolls, not alot of veggies in them, mostly some sort of meat....but i didnt order a meat spring roll. And the tempura sauce tastes vinegary. The tempura itself was good though.

I am still recovering from the sushi I ordered and ate two times this week. Both times it gave me food poisoning. Where I had to literally run to the bathroom and hold a garbage can over my knees. The eel was definitely disgusting yesterday, and no where near fresh I didn t even eat the second piece. The rest of it tasted off too (dynamite and California). So disappointed as I ve followed this restaurant since it was in the mall as sams sushi. Will not be coming back nor will I continue to bring friends and family here.

Some of the worst sushi we have had. Rice was wet and unflavored, no sashimi and top it off the worst customer service from the owner or chef man. Soto is the place to go to in town.

For a quick bite to go. This is the place. Different selections from most Japanese restaurants. Friendly staff members that are willing to assist. Lots to choose from, so worth it.

Best sushi in town, bar none!!!

Was disappointed because I was there for 25 minutes and didnt get my food. Had to ask for a refund otherwise I was going to be late back to work. I remember the last time I went there which was probably 4 years ago and I seemed to have an issue then taking a long time to get my food. If I come here again I will do it when Inhave more time to wait.

Had some good sushi at a very reasonable price. Staff was helpful and courteous. The food came quickly but not all at the same time. Its a fairly fast and casual restaurant. Its a good place to grab some lunch

Placed a number of orders here in the past with minimal issues. Placed order tonight, was missing two whole rolls and prawns weren t cleaned. Staff argued and played the blame game and didn t offer to rectify the situation at all. Won t be ordering from here again. Best sushi in town alright, but it s a terrible category on Grande Prairie anyho

Ive tried every other sushi place in town and no other place makes sushi as delicious as this one. The philli rolls are flavourful and the soy sauce has extra ingredients to make it not as salty as every other place in town.

Absolutely the best sushi in town, and extremely friendly staff. It is definitely worth branching out of youre comfort zone to try the different sushi rolls.

The sign inside says best sushi in town and it really is. The staff are super friendly and always willing to give suggestions and help you find a delicious roll. All the sushi is delicious and the sides are good too. Service is fantastic.

The place is tiny and not very clean. There were only 2 other people eating when we walked in but most all the tables were dirty and not cleaned up after previous customers and they were still not cleaned up after we finished and left. It is not restaurant style, so you have to order and pay up front and then they bring the food to you. One plus is the food was made really fast and it was decent. Not a big portion though. The price isnt the best for the amount you get and quality. One thing I noticed that irked me was that the only two ladies that were working there and made our sushi, right after one of them brought our food, they both sat down at one of the tables and starting eating their lunch as if they were customers. I wanted to up and order more sushi and ask for sides but they were busy eating themselves and I didnt want to interrupt. Thought it wasnt the best customer service. I probably would not recommend to friends

I have tried restaurants from many different areas of the country and, so far, this place is the worst, no offense if you like it. The rice isnt good, the fish isnt tasty, the plate I had was really small (ok for price though).

I would give absolutely no stars if I was able to. This place served the worst sushi I have ever eaten, and at a price tag that should be considered highway robbery considering the quality. The tuna in the Spicy Tuna Rolls was from a can. The BBQ Pork Buns were microwaved and not steamed as they are meant to be. The Tuna Tataki was not sliced thin, but in huge chunks, and over cooked. Exceptionally disappointed!

For some reason this place serves my favorite California rolls ever. The staff have always been extremely friendly.

Way to casual...overpriced sushi imo. Since when is a california roll 5 bucks? No sashimi on menu. No nigiri on menu, guess being from the coast Ive been spoiled. Dont even have a miso soup price on menu.
