Authentic food. Reasonably priced. Order here whenever in sudz.
An open and warming staff, as it was a family run business. The food tastes incredible! Food has lots of flavour and large portions. Clean and Sanitary, Open and warming restaurant, with very nice and respectful people. Highly recommend! Definitely recommend the chicken balls, with good flavour !
I ordered vegetable lo mein, szechuan beef, sweet and sour chicken balls and a couple of spring rolls. It was all incredibly bland. There was very little beef in the szechuan beef - it was predominantly broccoli and onions. The chicken balls were very doughy and the sauce loose, and again, bland. The lo mein had almost no flavour whatsoever.
I've ordered Dinner for 1 a couple of times and I have no complaints. Staff is very friendly and I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Definitely dining there again ! Thank you Good Lucky 168 !!!
As my phone had died and I came here as a literal stranger with almost no intention to order food, they welcomed me with high regards and favour and they treated me like a proper customer I then ordered their beef and chicken fried rice, General Tao, pork sliced, and chicken wings, and it was too darn good, it was also pretty fresh too. 10/10 recommend, I usually don’t favour many Chinese restaurants but this one has got to be one of the best spots I’ve been to. The price is a little high for their food, but it’s worth it.
Has anyone noticed how all our favourite restaurants are going down hill? Taco bell, KFC, and alas my former fav chinese joint. Higher prices, smaller portions , disappearance of flavour. Desperate to find a new chinese fix, I tried lucky on pure impulse as I was driving by. It has a charmingly rough looking exterior and a very simply interior, but if traveling around Asia has taught me anything, it's that the best food is often found within such rough looking restaurants. Lucky is no exception. A dinner for four was ordered. It came with the usual suspects -chicken balls, egg rolls, rice, chop Suey, beef n broccoli and chicken wings. Price is about what you would expect so no problems there. So firstly I'd like to say there is no MSG in anything but the chop Suey. My mother is health conscious these days and so this was important to her. One would expect this to kill the flavour-i sure did-but the food suffers very little if at all My mother wants me to rate this place five stars but my father agrees with me that it's a 4. Chicken balls are far too doughy and chewy. But other than that, the rice, chop Suey and broccoli have a very nice flavour to them. It reminds me of how my old go to place tasted before they stopped cooking properly. The veggies have a very poignant taste. A bit more beef in the broccoli would have been greatly appreciated. The star is the wings. I could eat a bucket of those things. They are DYNAMITE. if only they were crispy rather than somewhat soft, these things would be an absolute knock out In short, if ur like me and in need of a new chinese food go to, lucky may just be able to hook u up. Definitely worth trying at least . I certainly wouldn't mind ordering again. Recommended
Don't let the interior fool you. It may look like a typical Chinese take out restaurant but the food is actually well made and prepared. Came here to attend my graduation and family wanted Chinese food. We found this small restaurant and the food was both delicious and plentiful. Definitely worth visiting.
Update: This is our 4th time and still swear by the black bean and beef. The Cantonese chow mein is still awesome. Lots left over for lunch! This is our 3rd time ordering and the bar has been set for us. Beef and black bean is awesome with order of rice. Cantonese chow mein is soo good with leftovers. Spring roll was ok but the egg roll was good
Placed an order. Had to pay additional delivery fee. Was told an hour . 90 mins pass. I called on our way .. 15 mins pass we ll be there shortly . Yes they were in errands of a discount however food was cold. Vegetables undercooked and order incorrect. It s a meh, no thanks for me
Always great food and even better service.
It wasnt the nicest looking place, but good food.
Always Great
Very kind and pleasant employees fair prices and amazing customer service I will most definitely be going back again soon !!
0/5. Ordered honey garlic ribs and wonton soup, got sick almost right after. And for the whole day after. DONT eat from here
Great food, friendly staff, family owned, reasonably priced. My favourite Chinese place in Sudbury
Decent lunch. The food could be a bit fresher (chicken balls). Good place to go if you need a quick lunch.
The food was soggy and tasted old.the grease from the fryers was old got food poisoning.
Never had a issue here food is always pretty good. The owners are very nice people.
Got food poisoning Jan 1 2024, will not be returning
I went here just before Christmas and spent 70.00.when I got home the food was gross. The spring rolls had virtually nothing in them and I ordered 4.the egg fou Yung as terrible, all runny and made me feel sick. The beef veg was not cooked fully.Whole thing was a waste of 70.00they gave me chicken wings completely soaked in honey garlic that it was so messy and I think to cover the fact that the wings were burnt.would never go back!!
Chicken wings battered in cat litter and deep fried in dog water, im gonna be sick for the entire year after eating whatever those were
Definitely not the greatest. I paid almost 130.00 for General Tao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork i barely had chicken or pork because the pieces were beyond small. They bread their pieces to make it look like you re getting meat but when you bite into it, it s just grease soaked dough. I paid almost 130.00 for chicken lo mein it was more like, mister noodles, some chicken and veggies in a broth I m sorry but lo mein is not supposed to be ramen I paid almost 130.00 for pork fried rice that was unseasoned, dry, barely any pork, weird taste The only good things were the beef and broccoli, the honey garlic spare ribs (just wish they had taken some fat off), and the chicken balls (even though they had a lot of extra dough). If you plan on ordering a lot of Chinese food, save your money and get it from somewhere else!
nice experience in this Christmas holiday, fresh and yum food, big portions, and good service. The waitress is so nice. Even in this busy holiday, I did not wait long for the meals. Will come back soon
We ordered foods on Christmas, we ordered a dozen dishes, picked up time was fast, the taste was very good as usual, and the portions were large. We love the food! Will come back again definitely.
What a surprise! Had dim sum here. Very good taste! The portions are big and the price is still cheap. The owners family is very friendly. A very good takeaway store!
This is the best Chinese food Ive had in Sudbury. The portions are good, fresh and tasty! The chicken wings in particular were really good with the juices inside.
Its such an amazing family owned business you can tell they really care! Their enthusiasm along with the food they serve and great customer service skills to top everything up!
I come here often for lunch when I work in the area. Food is always hot and delicious, big portions, very friendly service. Chop Suey, chicken wings, and egg rolls are my favorite
Great food, fast service. Good lunch option. Parking: Mall parking is free for min 30min. Food : 5/5 |
Excellent food tastes good and always fresh, the service is great family owned and friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and calming but I feel like it could use some topping up. Other than that there are rare occasions things are not perfect but always delicious. Fair pricing too for what you get, a #1 combo can comfortably feed two for lunch
The flavours here were absolutely wonderful. The wonton soup was one of the best I ve ever had! The service was also very good. Highly recommend!
Bland tasting Got free chicken wings that were battered. Batter taken iff, chicken wing slimmy and had hair all over. Food
The batter around the chicken for chicken balls was too thick and there was very little chicken inside and there were only 4 chicken balls, actually if you removed all the batter it was more like 1 chicken ball. The Chop Suey was very salty and didnt enjoy it at all. Most of the dish had more rice then anything else. It cost over $15.00 and with what they served should of been less then 10.00. Did not enjoy meal at all. Found it was all in one plate and wasnt appealing at all. I dont think I would go there again.
A family-run business serving freshly made, authentic Chinese food. Worth trying! Chinese food is best dinning-in so I think the negative reviews are from those who unfortunately couldn t make the commute to the restaurant.
Food was good but dont order sweet and sour pork. I swear its a wee old
Food quality very poor
Food was amazing kung pao chicken was very good the black pepper beef was amazing just too many veggies small portion of beef. Beef fried rice was incredible once again tho small portion of beef. Would pay additional price if it was an option too add extra beef
Took a chance on take out from a restaurant we hadn t tried before for a big family dinner. Happy to say everyone was thought the food was great.
I ordered 95.00 worth of food. They changed the recipe. Sour soup was bland, too sweet. The low main, noodles recipes had less than 10 percent veggie and meat, lacked flavour, noodles been sitting over cooked. The chicken wings werent cooked enough and hung to the bone, rather than crispy, it was doughy. The chicken balls used to be good, but now, the meat is shunk. This is too bad, because I liked it before.
Wife, mother in law and 3 kids all got sick the next day, throwing up all night long. Food tasted aweful and just a very bad experience. If i could give them a -5 I would.
The food was amazing!!! Quick service, great value and amazing taste!! I highly recommend it!!
We ordered food from here last night and it was great. Everything was fresh and well cooked.
nice experience. It tastes good! Fresh material, fast. I recommend it!
Ate here today, the sweet and sour pork is fantastic and the onion rings were well up to par as well.
I really enjoyed the vegetables and protein at this restaurant. It seemed fresh, and home made.
One says Mom and Pop, and thinks of an older couple. Young and working to succeed, and, IMHO, doing a good job.
Food very good.my mother birthday party.we have 12 people.every body super like the the food.we will be come back.
Some things where really good and some things just regular typical canadian Chinese. Pork steam buns best in the North. Very good.
top tier food
Really good food. Will recommend to others Have heard good things from others.
Staff were super kind and friendly, but they were not very understanding of what we wanted. Food wasn t the greatest, the lo mein noodles were not cooked enough, the mixed veggies in the chow mein were really hard and it was overall flavourless. Costed us $40.00 for three people, not a bad price. Feeds a lot of people, is cheap but it really wasn t the greatest. Do not recommend.
Love the wings! The Beef and broccoli is a drug that i cant get enough of.
Your classic cheap Chinese food experience, nothing special but definitely cost efficient. Their chow mein is great, rice is inconsistent with whoever is working but for the most part you shouldnt be disappointed
Always fast and hot, great deals.
Just got some food from this place at rainbow mall canton Chinese well they really dont know the flavors it seems maybe they took it over ? Im new to sudbury and Ive worked in a Chinese / Vietnamese restraunt I was taught and paid close attention to the seasonings. The food was definitely old I got the chicken chow mean absolutely greasy no flavor/beff and broccoli was definitely cooked separately it seems they cooked the beef in water and some seasme oil also no flavor very sad that I wont be supporting them . Maybe they should try something differently cause thats not Chinese food
It was alright. The man at the counter was friendly and service was fast but the rice in my meal was stale.
Its obviously new owners Not the same place we all remember Trash food now beyond trash food
Not a good restaurant .
Do you like greasy food? You can enjoy here.
Good food . Prices are fair but no credit cards. Only debt or cash.
Always fast and courteous service here
New Owners ? The food was terrible. Credit cards arent accepted anymore. Had to rum to get cash. 0rder Pork low mein got Pork soy sauce gross. Never again. Was once my favorite Chinese Food.
Chicken balls with actual huge chunks of chicken...not balls of batter with a little square of chicken in the middle.
Great customer service. TERRIBLE QUALITY OF FOOD.
I have been going to this place for 20 years always great food till i orderd yesterday. The food was soaked in soy sauce. The sauce for the chicken balls had a yellow tinge to it. I use to love this place but i think it has new owners and i will not be ordering from them again.
We got take out .... horrible. Chicken Fried Rice had no chicken. Chicken Chow mein had only a couple of chunks of chicken. The Won Ton Soup comes only in 1 size. It is so small they could hardly fit the beef in and tasted like it was cooked in another pot that had cooked something else. Literally smelled like socks! Awful. Do not waste your money. Polite and on time though.
Extremely disgusting
Great food big servings try it you will be happy with your choice
Great food especially the chicken balls and egg rolls
Undercooked and dry. Never again
terrible across the board, paid all that money and for what?? not as good as they used to be... gonna stick to the orient on lasalle. more bang for your buck there.
Got take out.....family dinner B pork was burnt, rice was dry as though it was reheated with no chicken or vegetables in it, soggy chicken balls egg rolls were the only etable item. Waste of money. Will not be ordering agian.
I suggest to order something else then the regular combos like kongpo Chicken
Its cheap its fast its accessable but quality is inconsistent
You will choke and die from bones with the ribs. Other than that not too bad at all. The red beef tastes microwaved to high hell, but I think all red beef does so its probably ok. Get the Cantonese Style Chow Mein
Its a very good place for chineese food.
Great service n delivers
Still a favorite place to go for Chinese food. Great tasting meal and very fast service. I have eaten in and taken food out. Its a jewel of downtown.
Lynn wasnt there
Great Won Ton soup!
Chicken balls are great and I have an actual addiction to their springrolls
Great fresh food. Go here for lunch all the time.
Great food. Lil bit of a language barrier. Which in turn lead to some not so amazing costumer service. And lots of extra lil fees for small things.
Got to buy noodles extra for consomay soup this shood never happen when u spend 50 dollars in food realy sucks o food not the same new owners seems cheep cheep would not recommend at all .to bad was great food at a time .
My experience here is always great.
good food
Always friendly staff and food comes out fairly quick for takeout. Lowered the stars and would add to check your takeout for utensils and condiments before you leave. If you do ask for a fork and knife they might give you 3 or 5 of each wasting your time. Just go buy some soya sauce so you dont have to deal with it. Decades of flawless service.. gone.
Great place to eat, great food at a reasonable price.
Beware - Consumme soup does not include noodles - extra charge. Poor customer service.
It was chinesy
Chicken over done but other dish was tasty.
The wonton soup was great, but the rice was very dark. I suspect it had been cooking for a few hours. Friendly service.
Used to be the best in town, now it s the worst. Just full of grease, no flavour or spices either. It s a shame because I miss it
Best hand made Chinese
Im not really sure how one makes a vegetable dish gray in colour, but thats what we got. Disgusting. The only thing edible are the chicken balls and egg rolls.
Very good
Canton Chinese Food, The one and only downtown oriental restaurant hands down!
This is a nice cozy little Chinese restaurant that makes ready good. And its affordable to.
Love this place
Food was cold like it just came out of the fridge, not happy at all, I do not recommend this dive to anyone, not to mention my dog won t even touch it....literally
Could be better
Great food!
We had the Family Dinner Take Out Special - 6 items for $31 which fed 3 hungry adults with plenty of left overs. The food was really good and affordable. The lady at the cash was super friendly and the order was ready in a jiffy. All in all, a positive experience.
Ordered take out... Got the Cantonese chow mein which is supposed to be crispy noodles. Only to see bland limp overcooked noodles... Zero sauce... Zero flavor. Called the restaurant to ask why they advertise they have chow mein which literally translates to crispy noodles. The woman on the phone argued with me and also hung up the phone on me.... Medicore Chinese food at best.... Save yourself the money.
Worst food service in sudbury! Please do not waste your money.
Worlds Worst Chinese Food and Customer Service
Average food n flavour. Very very serious staff.. doesnt smile when saying Thanks for the tips
Terribly unhelpful staff. ordered the lunch special not realizing it came with just two ribs, when I asked to exchange I was told I had to pay for the ribs because she enacted the labour of putting ribs in styrofoam.
Food was stale and had no flavour, dry and boring, it almost had a flsvour like it was cooked on burnt dirty surface. I was dissappointed :( I Never went back.
really tasty and good for when you need supper quick!
Ive always enjoyed their food. The staff is friendly and will specially make your order without MSG if you have an allergy to it. Good place for a quick meal if youre downtown or good for takeout to bring home.
Quiet place with reasonable price and food. Get what you pay for!
When you want good quality chinese food and are in town for a decent price, Id recommend. I had a soup I forget the name but I especially liked it. The staff is friendly aswell which is always a bonus.
The food was all boiled and beef and broccoli was all steamed brocoli with 5 slices (TINY SLICES) on top of 20 pieces of broccoli... The noodles are gross there wasnt one SAUCE add3ed to the dishes all steamed and BLAND.. the chicken balls tasted like stale flower coated stale old chicken.. The egg rolls were empty shells.. fried rice with chicken was fried rice with GREY CHICKEN.. this was by far the grossest food I have ever ate and to top it off there was a taste of cleaning agent in some of the dishes.. most likely from not rinsing dishes or oven ware proper ... DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE EAT HERE
This place was despicable, disgusting food and messed up my order completely. We called back and got nothing but disrespect. Waste of money and time. DO NOT GO HERE
We paid for and ordered two Combo No.3s plus 2 Egg Rolls and all they gave us was a plate of veggie rice and 2 Egg Rolls. Got ignored and sassed when we called back. Very rude.
Delicious food and generous with the wontons and meat in their soup. Fast service and friendly staff.
The food is okay but the customer service is horrible! When I called to question a charge of $4.00 for substituting one item (which was only fifty cents more expensive than the original item) in a Dinner for 4, I was not just talked over, but yelled over and hung up on. Canton Chinese Food, over $3.50 you have instantly lost 4 customers and with poor word of mouth advertising, perhaps many more.
Like Chinese food a lot dont mind cantons but now you suck you dont even answer the phone to take orders
The food was amazing! ! I havent had true lemon chicken in years and when I opened the lemon sauce I was in heaven! Kind greeting, fabulous food, and great prices!
Late delivery and tastes the same as chinese food from a box. Best in town .hardly!!
Late delivery, no colourful veggies in any of the full course dinners, chicken balls had no chicken but leg bones tips and Chop Suey (bean sprouts) in a can tastes better than theirs. Far from being the best in town.
Dinna for two B with an extra box of chicken wing is what we like to order.
Hard to find good chinese.... bute est available is here. Also try Garson Chineese food in the strip mall off hwy... they are very good.
Overpriced. Too salty. We specifically asked for less salt, and the cook ignored it.
The best in town - you want overpriced then head over to Kings Buffet!
