Hardrock42 Gastropub in Greater Sudbury

Excellent place. I ordered a pulled pork poutine and it tasted very good. Very good flavor, very rich and delicious. I also ordered a Muskoka Give me a Break and it tasted excellent. Highly recommended everything

I got the wild mushroom Buddha Bowl and it was big, too much for me to finish there, my server was excellent! I did not have to do anything, until time to ask him for the check. Great place.

Great wings and burgers. Update switched to their salad bowls this time and got to say it was pretty good tasting. (Buffalo chicken). Wait staff was prompt and friendly. Their beer list is impressive. Only word of warning is that the washrooms are on a different floor.

My kids love this restaurant. We went for supper before a wolves games and the service was excellent. They were accommodating to our schedule as we only had about an hour before the game started. The food was very tasty. I was surprised that the chicken fingers were actual real chicken, not pre packaged which is a bonus for us.

The service was very slow. The food was ok. And the dining area was boring

Breakfast was fast and tasty...wished it was open on Sunday afternoon/evening.

Parking: No worries for parking, security guard on site. Kid-friendliness: The waitress brought the kids dishes first. Fantastic! Wheelchair accessibility: Good doors to get in and paved well.

Stopped of for some food and drinks aftee day of walking. The bat was quiet so I got a seat straight away. Crystal was my server, was straigh to my table with food and drinks menu. (Drinks menu, was huge, lot and lots of ales from local breweries to try). Food was standard Gastro pub selection, good range food, only waited about 10 minutes after ordering.

Stopped in here for lunch. Have been a handful of times. Food is average pub fare overall. The aioli served with the onion rings was phenomenal. Huge selection of beers although can t say I ve tried any. Service has always been great. Casual laid-back atmosphere.

Great place

SPOILED COLESLAW served with Fish and Chips. Looked appetizing but smelled and tasted revolting and ruined my appetite to finish the meal. 25% discount off the food if you get served rotten food apparently. The waitress was condescending about the incident and seemed offended that I didn t want a replacement.

SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE. There isnt any! Super slow to take and deliver drink orders. Food is equally slow. This is consistent each and every time we go, we put up with it because we like the beer selection. The service is ALWAYS and consistently poor.

Saturday Night, 7:30-8pm. We are the only people in the place, the service was polite to greet us and we saw them at our table twice for the 1.5h we were there. No one asked how the food was they came over and even cleared the table never asked us if we wanted the bill or anything. For food we had spinach and artichoke dip and pita chips, my gal had the buffalo wrap and soup while i had the nashville chicken sandwich. I want to say I usually dont care about servers who never show up so ill focus on how bad the food was for 58$. The dip was literally just melted cheeses, no flavor just cheese. I could count the pieces of green in it and there is 0% chance it had artichokes, my chicken sandwich was overcooked as well as well no seasoning at all on either the chicken or the breading used. When you hear people only insult white people cooking this is a restaurant that serves it. Just go to popeyes if you want a chicken sandwich or get any kind of dip at a grocery store. If you want restaurant quality food go its not at this gastro pub, Just go to P&Ms or any chain. They dont put any seasoning on anything and just rely on their sub par aioli. Dont recommend anything, dont waste your time or money going here maybe if youre an IPA beer drinker try it out for their taps but otherwise dont eat here. If it was crazy busy and service asked me about the food at the table i would reconsider but a dead place with no service and they couldnt get 1 dish in the whole place right.

Quiet place with fair prices for great value food. Customer service is 11 out of 10.

Went to hard rock 42 tonight with two very good friends for dinner ordered steak the steak was terrible so we complain to the waitress which then relayed the message to the owner he didn t even come to talk to us no discount no new steak no care next dinner the dog house I guess

I love this place. The staff are amazing! The food is better than expected. This chef knows what hes doing!. Spent two weeks here and Ive tried almost every beer and almost everything on the menu. No complaints here! Gonna miss this place. Thanks for making me feel comfortable.

Food was fantastic. We had fish and chips, a Reuben sandwich, and a knuckle sandwich and everything was delicious. Service was good.

Not often I give five stars to a place but the food is amazing, so is the service and the atmosphere is great. We went here on a date night and would highly recommend it to anyone.

If you are someone who is always looking for different in craft beer, this is the place to be.

Amazing food!

Great Food, good prices and a great atmosphere! We had poutine, wings and a burger. Everything was really good and fulfilling. Will definitely try this place again when visiting Sudbury next time.

Still a great spot for pub grub and a pint. Their beer menu is extensive and allows you to sample craft beers from all over.

Had a great breakfast here. The waitress was friendly, outgoing and had a great sense of humour. Will definitely try it again for either lunch or dinner.

The food was great and Shayne was funny and very attentive!

After a long day of travel we decided to stop in for a nice bite to eat. Service was great. Julie was very attentive and asked/covered all our questions and needs. Ordered the taco salad and monster club 5/5 for quality and taste Enjoyed the meal with a few sours they have on the menu. Third moon (born into this) is a great drink if sours are your thing.

I had the wings and the pub chips, and it was delicious. The wings are meaty and so tender and juicy. The pub chips are seasoned and come with a delicious sauce for dipping. My husband had the burger and onion rings. He really enjoyed his meal. The waiter Shayne was so friendly and attentive.

Probably best wings in town, meaty and perfectly cooked. Burgers are incredibly solid. One of the best taplists Ive seen anywhere, like 66 taps! Beer fridge has all the big hitters from across the province like Badlands, Third Moon and Wood Brothers. They also feature local gem 46 North. Great for families, friends. Good value, friendly staff, no patio though.

Found the gravy very salty. Spinach dip didnt seem to have any Spinach. One of the staff members was staring at me and I was very uncomfortable eating my lunch.

Decent Canadian pub fare and traditional North American dinner meals and flavors ( dining menu was standard/ basic fare; truly nothing to write home about) The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Overall, a decently well rounded dining experience.

OMG... we stopped here today and just thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our party of 4 each had different items and we all were thrilled by the taste and flavours. I loved the roasted red pepper soup and my chicken dinner! The mushroom cheese sauce that came with it was wonderful! Good portions and fairly priced! The waitress was very good! Will be back the next time I am in town!

This use to be a good establishment but now choose to enforce an unconstitutional segregation jab policy and even after this discriminatory law is removed I will not be a patron of this establishment!!!

Pretty bomb burger and fries, not having to leave the hotel is a bonus. 6-month later edit: all the food is great , rotating craft beer selection on tap & cans, amazing service from the lovely hostesses and overall a great vibe!

It was recommended by colleagues, I will not return. A couple slices of frozen steak on a hotdogs bun wasnt what I was expecting for the price.

Horrible service, we sat at the bar took along time to get served, when he did come he was rude, and we asked a few questions about different types of beer he said try it or dont! We had 2 beers stood there waiting 10 minutes to pay our bill while he talked about football with another customer knowing we were waiting...had to ask a waitress to cash us out!! Never again...wont recommended at all either

If you miss lunch (too bad) you can finish your day with the best wings in town with many awesome options of coatings. The serving staff are the best - Shannyn, Jay-man, Brett, Carly, Britney and wait for it.....Gillian (xo)!....Owners Dave and Jason have put one of the best crews and culture I have ever seen - after traveling for 24 years, I do have some experience!

Da bomb Philly Cheese Steak

My mom and I got take-out as we were passing through Sudbury. We ordered online through an app and had no issues upon pick-up. The lady who gave us our order was lovely and seemed confident in what she was doing. Our meals were very filling and tasty, the price was also excellent for what we received. The buffalo chicken wrap was large and had just the right amount of spice, and the portion we received for our spinach dip appetizer was ample. The flavors were not above and beyond but their menu hits all the right spots and boasts a great, casual dining feel. We would definitely order from here again if passing through another time.

Good food , good service , only thing was wayyyyyyyyyyyy to Much salt. Like licking a Himalayan salt rock , ease up on the sodium and you have a wonderful meal.

Steak was cooked perfect. Pub chips were delicious. Didn t care for the Cajun corn but overall fantastic. Will eat here again!

Great place ..great service and even greater food. Arrived shortly before closing and was seated...never felt pressured or rushed...was a great experience there. The burgers are amazing....and waitress Nikka was exceptional. Cant wait to go back again!

Good wings breaded or unbreaded and a large selection of cold beer..also nice seating along the windows gives you something different to look at while you eat..not as cheap as im sure it could be other wise i would give 5 stars..but overall its a great restaurant and lots of free parking downtown is a huge bonus!

Pretty mediocre bar food

Food was very good. The sevice however was lacking a bit. They got my brothers order wrong and would have got mine wrong too if I hadnt corrected them when they double checked. It was not very busy and we were left without water for quote some time. My ravioli was delicious but be prepared to flag someone down and wait twice as long when they mess up your order.

Staff has always been friendly, I believe they got the best wings in town. A HUGE beer selection, from craft to import. Open and bright atmosphere for dinning in. My only complaint is the menu changes so regularly that favorite flavors and menu items disappear and reappear way too regularly.

This is a place of MANY beers. The variety is awesome. Cozy atmosphere, very casual, staff seem to love what they do. Menu changes frequently which can be annoying but Ive never had a bad meal here.

Excellent value and service. Solid beer selection. Good fries, gravy and burgers. Dessert was also quite good for a pub.

Got mill street organic on tap and it was flat. Ordered fish and chip... fish was average... the fries were overcooked and cold. Service was basic. Wont be going back.

I have edited this review once again. They removed the make your own burger nonsense and now have actual burgers on the menu. Theyre pretty good too. My kids insist on coming here for the wings, which in their opinion are second to none. Huge beer selection. Service is typically fine.

Usually have 3egg special!! Today had a plate full of pancakes with sausage!! Yummy!!

Sat down, waiting for a second person, took half hour to take order. The food is good, but they were really busy, my business didnt feel appreciated.

Good beer selection, food is reasonably priced and has friendly service. The paired back their menu immensely which was sad my favorite meals there have all be removed shrunk down to a very pedestrian menu.

First time being here am very impressed.
