We were excited to eat at this establishment. It's a lovely older home turned into a quaint restaurant. We got there during their rush hour, 7 pm without a reservation and they kindly found a table for us. The service was very friendly and attentive. My husband seemed to enjoy his dinner better than me. Everything I ordered was basic. Escargots for the appetizer were cheesy but bland and the escargots themselves were small sized, so difficult to see and taste. I had the clam linguine and again it was bland and unexciting. In the end it was a lovely experience but a bit too pricey.
I will say the atmosphere was amazing and enjoyable. The server we had was incredible and constantly checking in and making sure our visit was delightful 🙌🏽 The food however I wish I could say the same. The food was subpar and had a lack of flavour. Also found out that the raviolis are not made in house but bought at regency bakery which was rather disappointing 👎🏽 overall I felt that the food could have been made in the comfort of my own home then spending the amount that we did for the small portion. In all honesty, I wouldn’t go back and would prefer Italian food elsewhere.
This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Service was impeccable. Dishes were simple but done perfectly. We had a beautiful bottle of wine which was recommended by our server, Kathleen. It was delicious, something we had never tried before and went great with our meal. I had gnocchi fantasia with mushrooms, shrimp, scallops and crab and my husband had nonna's canneloni, one spinach and one veal. Everything was incredible, we will be regulars!!
I am sure everyone who drives on Paris sees the Italian restaurant in the house everyday and tends to continue driving. I use to be that person who always says one day I’ll go there for dinner and now I have been there 4 times. I went last night with some friends and we started with the bruschetta, scalloppe alla griglia and the zuppa of the day. The restaurant isn’t very big and was quite busy, however, our dishes came out in no time. The restaurant is very clean and obviously taken well care of. Our server is very knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and drinks. She even offered to make a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu as long as she had the ingredients. I was very happy with my main dish which was the gnocchi in primavera sauce. My partner ordered the special (pasta and a main) and my friends ordered the gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce (unfortunately it wasn’t too Gorgonzola forward for my friends liking) as well as the linguine fantasia. The pasta is made fresh to order and you have the option to choose a different sauce if you’d like. I don’t tend to eat a lot of Italian food, but I’ll always go back to Pasta e Vino.
Came here based on reviews. Unfortunately very disappointed that the pasta are NOT made fresh but come out of a box. The only ones made in house is lasagna, gnocchi and cannelloni but most dishes are linguine …. The plate is filled with pasta and barely any toppings I had the linguine fantasia and couldn’t tell you what was in it other than mushrooms and a few bits of shrimps . Appetizers - Scallops was 21$ for 3 tiny scallops The cheesecake was delicious. Wouldn’t recommend wasn’t worth the price unfortunately left disappointed
One of the best pasta restaurant in Sudbury with their own freshly made pasta and gnocchi. Delicious and tasty overall but could make less pasta and more veggies in each dish. The Italian ice-cream was worth the try. The kicker was the waitress who must think that we do not how to calculate tips and tried to remind us of this!! It left a bad taste of this restaurants employee!! Will think twice in coming here next time—not because of food but because of her!
What an experience going to this restaurant!! It felt like you were visiting a friend's home in Italy, from the decor to the food. Homemade cannoli (made by the nona's themselves), and the chef Frank is amazing. Beautiful and authentic Italian flavours. We were up in Sudbury from out of town and were looking for a place to eat that was unique to Sudbury... Pasta e Vino exceeded all of our expectations! Would HIGHLY recommend going here if you are visiting Sudbury and looking for a fun, memorable and delicious place to go for dinner!
Delicious and you will not be disappointed eating here. Entrees focus on pasta, veal, and chicken. Our party had five different dishes and all of them were excellent. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. Everything was scrach made, and so so tasty. Great service and wine pairing.

We are foodies. We travel the world in search of great food and memorable dining experiences. Pasta e Vino, according to me, is Sudbury s best kept secret. Cassandra, our server made us feel most welcomed from the first hello. The ambiance was quaint and charming. The wine selection, despite not being very broad, had several good bottles and the prices were very reasonable . The portions were very generous and every dish we had was well put together and sooooo tasty. The calamari was possibly the best I ve ever had, the Penne del Capitano was amazing and the tiramisu tastes like your Nona just made it for you. Frank, the owner, a very generous man, made us feel like family. The entire evening was top notch from start to finish. This is absolutely on our list of favourite restaurants anywhere. Do yourself a favour, encourage a local business and indulge in a memorable dining experience . Thanks to all the Pasta e Vino staff. We definitely will be back .
PASTA dish was okay, sea food options not recommended, some of it was very chewy. RISOTTO: not very good, edible sure but couldnt say much more than that. GARLIC BREAD, 8.95(!!!) the absolutely worst garlic bread ever. Four pieces of grocery store quality italian bread toasted and burnt. Most burnt pieces scraped off with a knife. Maybe very very lightly buttered, my co-diner and I actually disagreed if there was butter on it at all. Absolutely no hint of a garlic presence. If it was free I would have been very disappointed. I just cannot understand how that plate (basket) could leave a kitchen or how a server could serve it. Probably would have otherwise reviewed a 3/5, but that garlic bread was just horrific.
Great service Very efficient atmospheros great food was delicious. Would recommend and I will eat there again.

Hidden gem! You might drive by without knowing that this is one of the top dining experiences in Sudbury! Chef Frank and the dedicated, long-serving staff, create beautiful meals in this peaceful environment. High quality ingredients, perfect execution, and great flavors. Our group was treated and will definitely make another visit in the future.

You cannot get better pasta anywhere in the city! Frank the owner has been cooking his fresh made-to-order dishes since the 90s. Fair prices, great portions and cute little hidden gem of a building.

It s been almost 15 years since we dined here. It is as good, if not better than the first experience we had. This is the best restaurant in Sudbury, hands down. Thanks for the excellent dining experience.

Was in Sudbury for a couple of weeks and was looking for a restaurant near where I was staying. Pasta e Vino seemed like a good option but unfortunately they didnt do delivery. So decided to take out a Lasagna and it was worth it. The portions were huge and delicious. Decided to go back a second time on my last day in Sudbury. Ordered pesto gnocchi for take out this time. Got to the restaurant. The chef (Frank) and server were incredibly friendly and offered me a table to have my food there hot. Frank even remembered my previous order. It was great to make his acquaintance. Had my fill of delicious gnocchi. Would highly recommend. :-)

Tried Pasta Vino a few years back and wasn t interested in returning. But as of late had multiple friends recommend. So the wife and I decided to give it another shot . It was very delicious! Server was great, Food was full of flavour. Nice atmosphere. Overall great experience, I will be back!

Wow! Can t say enough good things. The staff was able to accommodate my party with our reservations. The Chef and Owner Frank personally came out and introduced him self. Cute little restaurant. Food was A1. Only thing I would recommend is free refills on soft drinks. 3.50 every glass was a bit expensive.
A beautiful place to enjoy Italian food with good conversation. The day we went was my birthday and they surprised me with ice cream and a candle. Love the details. Highly recommended

After many years we finally made it to dinner at Pasta e Vino! Let me tell you, it wont be our last visit! The food was absolutely amazing, our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere was quiet and cozy! If you love Italian food, you need to try Pasta e Vino!

Got gnocchi takeout, and it tasted like from the grocery store. The tomato sauce was plain and I was really disappointed with the quality. The meal did not live up to Restorante expectations

Best dining experience in a long time! We turned up here, having never been here before as we are from out of town, hungry amd cranky from a long drive from northern ON. We didnt realise indoor dining had not yet resumed in ON so we arrived not knowing we should have ordered ahead, but Frank, the incredibly kind and welcoming owner, let us come into the restaurant to order and use the washrooms. We placed an order, thinking we would eat in the car, but Frank offered to let us sit at the little table out the front of the restaurant even though its not a proper patio - he even served everything up on plates as if we were eating in, instead of take out boxes. The lasagne and meat gnocchi were absolutely delicious, as was the wine, but the service was the absolute best Ive had in years. Such a fantastic experience! I just wish wed taken better photos...
Always a fantastic dining experience
With all do respect, the only thing I loved about the place was the service, our waitress was very attentive and service was fast. The decor was from the 60s or 70s with plastic flowers full of dust, dark and gloomy atmosphere. The food wasnt terrible but it wasnt great either. Same sauce for different pasta, their garlic bread is garlic butter on toast, not a great wine selection. The place needs young touch, its very dated, from furniture to decor to menu.
Being from out of town we looked at a few restaurants and decided on Pasta e Vino. Its a little gem! They didnt disappoint right from the phone call I placed to get a reservation. Frank answered the phone in a cheery voice and he made me laugh in the few minutes he took the call. The service was wonderful from the the time we entered till we left. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful not to mention the large portions. I would highly recommend this place and return again if back in Sudbury.
I Always knew it was the best place to eat authentic Italian food but never thought of stopping in just for coffee & dessert! Affordable dessert menu with enough choices for all!

We had a late take out anniversary dinner during a hectic cross-country move. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating to make us some special dishes minutes before close! This alone is worth ten stars, but the food was also great. Thank you for a memorable meal!!

While taking photos for the the Pasta e Vinos restaurant website, I watched 2 Italian grandmothers hand rolling the homemade gnocchi. In the 30 years I have worked as a food photographer I have never experienced this kind of homemade freshness.

Been wanting to try this place for years. Finally made it out and I must say the food was very underwhelming. Had the veal marsala and wasnt impressed. Ive had much better Italian in this City. Prices were average. Atmosphere was quaint, its an old house thats been converted into a restaurant, definitely has some charm!
We had an amazing dinner. Felt safe in the restaurant. The service was amazing and the chef came to see how we enjoyed our dinner which is nice that he wants the feedback from the people. I highly recomend this place. Great food, great service, left there feeling full and not stuffed. Perfect portions.

Food was excellent, waiter was friendly, we were there later than expected and he did not rush us out. All the food came at a good time and tasted delicious. The only downside was that I had too much to drink and was unable to drive. Sadly, I came back to a parking ticket the next day.

Wonderful experience! Not a typical psuedo Italian spaghetti joint. The chef (Frank is one) puts his soul into his tasteful creations. And the waitresses? They know their stuff. They wont tell you what the specials are. No, they paint a picture for you with words...describing what the chef did to make it happen. We will be back.
A wonderfully inviting and intimate atmosphere, home to exceptionally flavourful dishes and simply wonderful hospitality. Definitely make it a point to try this spot. Looking forward to the next time were in town to visit again!

This restaurant provides a fine dining experience, in a historic house. The food is made fresh every day. This is the very best of Italian cuisine. Walk-ins are welcome, but on a Friday or Saturday, it would be best to make a reservation.

Reserved a place for an early dinner with three friends and dinner was delicious. Most of us ordered from the special menu and everything was scrumptious. Be warned that if you go on a theatre night, service can be a bit slow because many customers have a schedule to keep as the theatre is across the street. We were not on a schedule, so it was perfect for us. I had a mussels starter with pasta for dinner with an espresso to finish. Perfection! Popular place that will require reservations.

Seafood pasta was pretty good. Italian restaurants should offer fresh parmesan rather then the powdered stuff.
The only thing that trumped the food, was the service. Willing to accommodate a vegan patron with no sass or frustration. Also took care of an eager little one without skipping a beat. Would recommend to everyone visiting or in Sudbury. Delicious, fresh, and memorable. Its a diamond in the rough.

Delicious food and friendly service. I had the chicken parmesan while my wife had the penne with meat sauce. Our daughter shared a little from each plate. For dessert we had the Bacio Tartufo and I a raspberry tea with Amaretto and Grand Marnier. Tasted like a heated wildberry cooler... very good! Definitely will be back.
Waitress made it seem like a real problem that I asked for Gluten-free pasta.

This is my favorite restaurant in Sudbury far and away the best food, the atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. Service is exceptional, food is always fresh, piping hot and so tasty. I am a pasta fanatic and Pasta e Vino makes the best fresh sauces. We eat here often and have never, not once had a bad experience. If you love Italian cuisine, this is the place to go.....

Food was horrible there food is amateur at best everything is either store bought or out of a package. As usual in sudbury it seems like the chef comes in once a week preps everything and minimum wage short order cooks reheat it all all week long. For them to call it fine dining is an insulting to me as a customer to have them serve me food of quality.
