I have eaten in a number of great restaurants around the world. I had a carpaccio and an osso bucco at Verdicchio this evening. I have to say that it was one of the finest meals that I have ever had. Very impressive. Well done.

As good as it gets in Sudbury.

Food was delicious however, I found my dinner to be on the cold side. In their defense I was part of a large ish group. I have been here multiple time and this was the only time I found my food to be cold. Server was very good in making sure our groups needs were met.

Fantastic Italian dining experience for our 5 year anniversary! Had the 4 course meal with pairings and the AAA prime rib was superb and the cake at the end was delicious! Authentic atmosphere, delicious traditional dishes, great service, extensive wine list. Highly recommend for any special occasion. We can t wait to go back!!

AMAZING restaurant. Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants in canada. We had duck dumplings - it was delicious. Beef cappuccino was delicious! And forgot to take a photo of penne al la vodka - oh my goodness it was one of the best I had in my life. Our waiter Mario was so pleasant too! Best of the best!

Honestly great food and beautiful atmosphere. I wouldnt even have known about this restaurant as its in the oddest place but with what the quality of the staff and what was served it can be located anywhere and I would go! I had the veal, it was so tender and my wife had the ravioli and it was spiced to perfection. We will definitely making this one of our main restaurants. Bravo.

Ive lived in Sudbury for 39 yrs and had never gone until a few days ago. This has been the best food, service, and everything in-between. This restaurant will be one that I recommend to anyone

I was so excited to finally try the food at Verdicchio because of all the great things Ive heard. I was left feeling a bit disappointed and underwhelmed by the experience, though. The food was just okay, the service was slow, and our server was very monotone and not personable. My dish in particular (penne with braised beef short ribs) left a bad taste in my mouth as the beef was super slimy and not well flavored. I will say the salumi platter as a starter was well prepared and the flavors complimented nicely. The atmosphere is also inviting. All that said, I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I dont think Ill be back anytime soon.

Verdicchios has a vibe that is unmatched. Their atmosphere is elegant and sexy - perfect for date night. Their menu offers many Italian dishes and the food never disappoints! Highly recommend!

Once again, Verdicchios has been true to their reputation. The team, Mario, Mark, their attention to detail, presentation, tastes, amazing. I tried the lamd and was blown away with the flavors. Mario recommend the Sorbet for dessert, what a great finish to a beautiful meal. My go to place now.

Beautiful shop. Nice menu selection. Not sure Ill visit often though. Prices are high and the savory dishes didnt knock my socks off. Dessert on the other hand was above average.

I took my family to Verdicchio s for my daughter s graduation celebration and we had a wonderful time! We were greeted with a smile by their team and lead to a beautiful spot outside under the grapevines. We just relaxed into a lovely dinner experience. Our waiter Bob made us feel comfortable and explained the menu and specials offerings. We all thoroughly enjoyed not only the ambiance, but the food was beautiful and delicious! We all felt very special at that dinner. Clearly these people are on top of their game and care about their patrons. Sincere Thanks Verdicchio s , Mark, Bob and team for an unforgettable evening! We will certainly be back!

The food was delicious and the service was great! Although, it did take almost two hours for our food to be served, and it was a little cold. Other than that, I enjoyed myself. The wait time on the food gave us plenty of time to enjoy a pleasant conversation. :)

Great food great service

Had an amazing at home experience with mark acting as our chef. The meal was one of the best I ve ever had. To top it off he had amazing wine pairings for each course. Mark was extremely accommodating to my wants when planning the menu which involved a totally revamp fairly last minute. He also took care of everything the night of, I was able to sit back and enjoy with my new fiancée. Would highly recommend booking at private chef experience here!

The food here has always been nothing less than amazing. One of our favourite hidden Gems to visit in Sudbury. The wine list is impressive. Food execution near perfection.

We use to go every anniversary! This year we went and were disappointed. The drink menu is nothing like it use to be and the food was also nothing like it use to be. We are gonna find somewhere else to go next year.

Had never been but was excited to try it out with a friend. Seated and given focaccia bread, it was very very oily. Beverage was good and the risotto to start was delicious which gave me hope for the rest. We waited an hour to get our mains (my friend didn t get anything to start so she was starving). When the food arrived her dish smelled fishy but tried it. The mussels were undercooked and her pasta was crunchy. My polenta was dry and bland, greens beans were very under and crunchy. Shrimp was good but for the price we were very disappointed and would not return

What dreams are made of. Verdicchio has a delicious menu, superb wine selection and a gorgeous atmosphere. The perfect spot for any occasion. Their staff are so friendly and passionate about sharing the experience with you. I cant wait to go back!

Last time I ate there the food was cold and service not good not inpress . I even gave theem a chance to call me back 2 time . Since the waiter told me that nite no one around . Manament wise I even left message by phone and even went back there . Instead of dealing with the issue they chose to ignore me I have not been back since . And dont recommend this place to any one at all .

There were several aspects of this restaurant that we enjoyed. The personnel was pleasant and helpful, and the service was prompt. The dinners were beautifully presented, and the cuisine was delicious. They had an extensive wine list, but I had a long drive ahead of me and couldnt indulge. Well have to return the next time were in Sudbury for a more casual supper.

My son and his wife chose Verdicchio Restorante as his wedding venue and they could not have chosen a more beautiful place. Very disappointed as recently dined here and food,atmosphere and presentation was terrible. As a well travelled patron who dines out in other cities and locally quite often I feel it s important this establishment works on raising the bar. The prices are high and the food is less than desirable. I will not return nor will I recommend.

Me and my new wife (Victor and Sarah) had our reception in the front patio of the restaurant. we are from Toronto. Fist all the thanks and credit to Willie and Cirio. I would have to say they were the reason our reception was done flawlessly. I can tell this isnt just a business, its a passion they both share. They were extremely accommodating and thorough with the planning. I can honestly say out of all the venues we looked for Verdicchio was the best choice. The food was amazing, the wine choice was the best wine Ive ever had (turned me into a wine guy hahaa). we had 30 guest sitting comfortably it rained heavily but that day but we just moved a few seats and everyone was fine. This venue is already beautifully decorated and really doesnt need anything to make it beautiful. especially with warm lighting and the nice green vine and other plants. Ill be going back for sure. Might even make it an anniversary thing. Thanks again, we couldnt be any happier.

Amazing

I can rate the ambiance but not the food because the Chef Rich Francis prepared the food for the PEP Conference Gala. At any rate, the facilities are top notch. A beautiful dining room, very elegant and current. Parking might be a bit iffy at times, as had to park really far. But overall, was awesome!

The tempur pickerel cheeks and shrimp with paprika/peppery sauce was a savoury app and the main special was calamari with polenta and it was really tender, great job!

Outstanding food. My friend and I had such an amazing time here. Were both foodies and this place came highly recommended by friends so we decided to try it out! Both of us are not local to sudbury but we were looking for a place to have a nice dinner while we were in the city for the day. We each got appetizers: I got an amazing scallop and shrimp sous-vide and he had the carpaccio Di cervo which was venison with a strawberry coulis. Amazing! Both of them were delicious!

The squid-ink pasta special was seasoned to perfection. The Manitoulin-trout appetizer special was not everyones favourite, but it was properly explained and.. we did select it. Wine, desserts and service were great. We even got a welcome from the grand Nonna. I found the price to be pretty good for a place of this quality. Well be back!

Good Restaurant

New to these parts, we visited Verdicchio on the weekend. I didnt really expect to discover a very good Italian restaurant here. But i was quite pleasantly surprised. If I could rate more than 5 stars - I would! I went to Verdicchios this past weekend and had the most delicious dinner and fantastic experience. I have a gluten insensitivity and the staff went above and beyond for me. I was really interested in the special that night but the sauce wasnt gluten free - however they whipped one up from scratch for me without me even requesting. It was above and beyond and not to mention it was delicious. The food is amazing every time and the service is also amazing. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you so much for the amazing meal.

Wonderful atmosphere! Amazingly well educated staff(servers/cooks), you feel like family while there. Amazing food, most menu items change seasonally so there is always something new to indulge, and/or old classic fall backs to enjoy over again. The presentations are always getting better and starting to make a whole new surprising and exciting experience! A MUST GO!... No doubt they have been in business for over 20 years in Sudbury.

Great top quality fine Italian food with an epic wine cellar. The staff is really knowledgeable and provide great service. Cocktails are fantastic (one of very few places in Sudbury with a great cocktail program).

I will get pictures up sometime soon. Best food in Sudbury hands down. Most passionate family Ive ever met to the food industry and arguably the only real authentic Italian food in town. If you are coming through Sudbury or even a long time resident you must experience this restaurant once. Yes its fine dining so its more expensive but its worth every penny. Did I mention best wine selection in the city? Go enjoy!

Pricey, but worth it

The Risotto was delicious was and the service exceptional. The restaurant is a bit hard to find but well with looking for. I drove past twice..lol

Went for Mothers day brunch for 11:00am sitting. The brunch had no breakfast items at all , no children items. Grandson was looking for pancakes or waffles we told him would there. Dried up pizza at 11am in morning. Mostly consisted of a evening dinner menu. Pork, smoked duck, roasted vegetables and pasta bar. The desert table was terribly, some fruit, a carrot loaf and these small plastic cups 1 / 4 filled with goop! Absolutely no chocolate anything. Done on the cheap.Worst desert table I been to in years. It was stuck over in a corner and very univiting presentation. For such a ridiculously over price meal , this was a uneventful Mothers day buffet.

Hall was too small for a Wedding. The food at the wedding reception was just warm and took over 3 hours to eat due to poor service. Coffee wasnt placed out until 10:30 would have been nice to have coffee with supper.

The food was fantastic and they had a very nice classic margarita. The waiter seemed knowledgeable which raised our expectations but service was terribly slow. We had to ask for more water and were never asked if we wanted more drinks.

Verdicchio is a unique restaurant in this city. I get the impression that its regular customers support the business to a degree where new business is not really a concern for them. Located in an industrial park next to mineral labs and industrial supply stores, it stands out as one of the truly original providers of fine dining in Sudbury. I have organized events here for professionals, I have attended dinners for work functions and I have taken prospective clients here. Its not the kind of place I go for a snack but rather where I go if I want to convey an experience. The owner and the staff are all intimately familiar with the ingredients, the process and the experience for which people are attending. Ill tell you right now its the best gnocchi in town, hands down. Ill also tell you they cook a better steak than The Keg every time. I will also say that sometimes the food is so original that I question whether I made the right choice in deviating for my standard menu selections. That being said it is always an impressive meal at a premium price. Anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, retirement parties. This is where you go.

Meh. The menu is pretentious. Now Im fine with pretentious if its done well, but it really wasnt anything to go crazy for. Presentation was lack luster, service was unimpressive and slow for how quiet it was. I cannot remember by exact entree, so I wish I could be a bit more specific. But, it was underwhelming for the price. Decent ambiance though

I was there for the Burgers and Barbera event - great food, great wine, and great fun. The service was excellent and super friendly despite being very busy. Verdicchios is well worth a stop and we will be returning to sample the menu in the restaurant.

Ive always had a good experience at this restaurant but my last experience was mediocre....Service and food were ordinary. Was never asked how any of my meal was.... Good wine and cocktail list though
