I realized, this is what it feels like to be catfished 😂. Didn't realize it was a completely different restaurant than advertised - the restaurant name on google is Taco Sol, but when you physically go to the restaurant it's completely different and is called Ranvee's Eatery. There's menus outside the store saying Taco Sol, etc but it's a deceiving advertisement for sure because it's not Taco Sol. We were in a rush, so we didn't really have enough time to keep looking for food so we ended up ordering nachos and a mexican chicken bowl which came up to be $50 with some drinks which is not cheap at all. As I was waiting, I was wondering why something felt off and I was shocked. According to another recent review, it used to be owned by a Mexican couple but a new owner took over. I wish I saw that review before going here. By the looks of it, everything originally at the restaurant is kept and used besides the owner and the name. The food definitely is not worth going to and I wouldn't really recommend it. I'll be honest and frank, I'd rather order from Burrito Boyz than to order from here. The surrounding area is definitely not an amazing place. I wish I had something better to say besides the cashier was nice.

They say the rougher the part of town, the better the tacos. It's true, this place delivers. The inside is bright and welcoming. The gentleman running the show is super friendly and a hell of a cook. I had the fish tacos, and churros for dessert. I usually try and just bypass Sudbury when traveling, but I'll likely be stopping to grab a bite here from now on.
Finally I’ve found the authentic tacos I’ve been search for! I got 2 Tinga Chicken & 2 Papa Con Chorizo, without a doubt they are best tasting taco’s I’ve had in ages! Wasn’t as filling as I expected for the price and presentation could be better, but was still an amazing feast. The customer service and atmosphere definitely makes up for it though, I will definitely be back!
Truly a place you must eat at if you're looking for quality tacos and a competitive price. They menu consists of store made products only, everything is made from scratch, from their families recipes passed down and you can tell. Our first time going ended up making us want to go back 3 times Ina row. their Nacho's are incredible! the chips are made in store and you can tell because they're all different sizes and they're perfectly salted, and the dish is properly layered and the crunch of the chips are nice and crispy however not mouth ripping either. And their burritos are bomb too! my gf got one 2 consecutive days. Now food aside, the personality of the staff/family makes the place well worth visiting. They're super friendly and bring a warm vibe to the experience. They also do takeout or dine in. I truly wish I would have discovered this place sooner because I've walked and drove past it too many times.. Please I urge you go in right now and you won't leave disappointed! THEY ALSO HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS AND MEXICAN POP AND BEER!! That's right you can also buy and drink beer here as well!
First order since the re-brand to Ranvee's Eatery. Ordered via Skip. HUGE menu featuring Mexican stuff, burgers, poutine, you name it. I was surprised that they were able to make such a wide variety of foods so well. EXCELLENT burgers. Great poutine. Delicious taquitos. The cheesecake dessert was outstanding. Order arrived pristine, well packaged, with great attention to detail such as writing the full name of each drink on the lid! That's amazing! Who does that? If you have a family that can never agree on what to order, try this place.
Absolutely delicious food. Taco Sol's tacos are amazing! The ingredients are high quality, the customization is perfect, and the staff is incredibly friendly and generous. The selection of drinks are great too. You can try a lot of things you aren't usually exposed to here, which makes it a great stop to open up your eyes to some food and drink you're not familiar with.
Tacos could be better, mold smell
Ordered through Uber eats. Quality nowhere it used to be. Also, who puts Spanish rich on nachos? VERY disappointed. Never ordering again.

I was passing through Sudbury on my way home back to Toronto and stopped at Ranvees to eat with my kids. Immediately the service by the staff was so friendly, and attentive!! He treated my children with such kindness, and I admired how he worked the cash, cooked, and served customers all with such ease! Clearly a hard working and cheerful staff member, and his warm demeanor made us feel at home. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell its made by hand and beautifully cooked. I would 10/10 recommend anyone to stop at Ranvees!! I will go back whenever I am back in Sudbury. :)

Very good location in the city center, the service is perfect, the food is very delicious, the staff is really very kind.
We visited for the first time. Owner Kuldeep was so humble and respectful. He also made virgin drinks as per our request. The food tasted so good and the portions were also good. You find different choices of dishes from.italian to Mexican to american.I recommend this place.

If you are vegan, you get one option : rice with veggies served with salsa and guacamole. The gentleman mentioned that the tacos + (rajas con crema) were vegan. They are not, they contain cream as the name indicates. He said theres only a little bit of cream in the mix so its not that bad. Beware if you have allergies. The portion was a good size.
They tried calling the police because my friend needed the washroom. The employee was very rude and even swore at the kid

Id like to say three and a half almost four stars. Staff were friendly and food was pretty fresh but a few things were lacking. One they need to work on the presentation of the dishes, instead of just putting nachos on wax paper on top of a plastic tray. Two, a large portion of their menu was unavailable. This is mostly due to staffing shortages apparently. Given the price, I just feel that they could make a slight effort to push it into that four star territory.

Id share a photo but I ate it so fast I forgot. I got 2 tacos and a taco soup. Delicious food and definitely recommend that you order with Uber eats or go in person. Be aware, mexican food can be spicy...so being your antacid pills with you. Lol I will order again for sure.

Absolutely amazing service. I ordered off the Mexican and Canadian menu for around 12 people, for a work event and the two young men were just fantastic. They worked with me through the whole thing, packaged everything in a thermal bag and had everything 100% right!! They are just awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant. Very personable and professional!!
Owners have changed, The old Mexican couple who used to run this place are gone. New owners kept the name Taco Sol on the front of the building but inside they call it something else. They still have some of the Taco Sol menu, but they added a bunch of other stuff. They are very nice people but the food we got left something to be desired. We got quesadillas and there was barely any chicken or other filling. Very disappointing. I should have taken pictures. The fish tacos, the battered fish was great and so were the little corn soft taco wraps, but again no filling. Hardly any salsa, or anything else, a teaspoon. We paid $40 for this meal of fish tacos and chicken quesadillas felt like we overpaid immensely. I would definitely recommend to the owners to put more filling in the tacos and the quesadillas. There should be big chunks of chicken, a bunch of salsa, cilantro, pico de gallo. Like, theres a whole bunch of filling that these tacos, quesadillas and burritos should have. Changes need to be made.
Rating down from 5 to 3 stars. The new owners are definitely not keeping to the same level of quality food that Ive come to expect from this once fine establishment. Really unfortunate

Spent 50 on two kids meals and a taco that I saw them microwave in front of me. I feel for them as the person taking my order said multiple people called in/quit but to have spent that much for such awful food is not ok. Would not recommend coming here.

I ended up stopping in at Ranvees for dinner on a Monday night and I am glad I did. The food was fresh and delicious, the staff were courteous and attentive. I may have come into Ranvees purely by chance but I will definitely come back next time I am in town.

Fantastic gem in downtown area. Me and my partner went for Dinner while staying in town. The man running the front was more than happy to answer any questions and provided excellent service. the food was absolutely stunning . You can tell they take pride in their cooking! Packed with flavour, so fresh. The tortilla was authentic and home made. You can even tell the sauces are made in house, they have so much flavour and seasoning. Its the best taco Ive ever had. Feels like Mexico!! YUMMMMM

I had been craving some tacos but didnt really feel like cooking or driving so I hit up Taco Sol and was really glad I did. The menu might seem a little confusing but the staff are super helpful and walk you through the process. There are essentially two options, tacos or burritos, you pick your meat (or veg if youre vegetarian) then you pick a casserole and toppings to go on. I ended up with vegetarian tacos, with a green relish-y type thing, I dont know what it was but it tasted amazing. Over all the food was hot and fresh and delicious (and a little drippy, but tacos tend to be). The servers were super polite and helpful. The restaurant was clean with a super adorable patio. My biggest complaint is that the music was a bit loud.

The food was BEYOND delicious the BEST burrito ive ever had. We came from an hour and a half away to try this and we will continue to support this incredible business!

The gentleman making the food was incredibly polite and helpful. I cant eat meat, and he was able to direct me to what I could have. No to mention the quality of the food was amazing. Totally from scratch, as he said-they dont even know what a can opener is haha. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a wholesome, well-priced incredible meal.

We had started to sit out side but moved indoors due to the local passerby foul language. Alittle pricey but this restraunt cathes some off guard but theres a premium to authentic mexican tacos and burritos went to the restraunt a few months back the owner was working then she was very nice not only that but the restraunt was empty (ate lunch around 11) we even chatted awhile about why she opened the restraunt but this restraunt is great and my friends how come from the south americas say this is authentic

This has to be my favorite spot in downtown Sudbury. Carlos is a beauty and will give you his honest opinion about everything on the menu. What I appreciated the most was his suggestions on how to dress my burrito so it didnt become a sloppy mess (what other restaurant miss on food preparation) and was enjoyable. It was definitely a pleasure meeting him, having delicious food, accompanied by a passionate conversation about football and Mexico. Im planning another visit soon to check the other menu items off. Definitely recommended to anyone who enjoys good authentic Mexican.

My first time there and Ive never tried Mexican food before and this restaurant gave me a great experience, the food was so amazing and the churos were the absolute best dessert I have ever tasted and I love a lot of desserts. The prices are amazing for what you get, the people working hard there really show that they love their job and its just such a good environment, and I will for sure be coming back!

Brilliant food. Absolutely add the extra cheese and guacamole. Its so, so tasty. I was blown away. Edit: Went a second time and was served by such a lovely, kind man. Really felt like I was at someones home as a guest and food was just as brilliant.

Its a bit on the expensive side, but gosh are they good burritos. The staff are also very pleasant. Just a warning however, the burritos can be a bit messy, so dont be an idiot like me and take it out of the wrap.

Went to Taco Sol based on a suggestion by a co worker saying it was the best Burrito in Sudbury. We ordered 2 burritos and a third for another coworker. The taste was good but it was wrapped layered from top to bottom. Two like this third was wrapped properly. We called and informed them that the Burrito was wrapped wrong and that I had to eat it in layers. They told me they would put my name down and I could get two burritos the next time. 2 weeks later we decide to try again. So I go in with a coworker. I was told she didnt know what I was talking about. Then she said I had called and complained about the Burrito. I was then refused my burritos. She said she was the owner/manager and her food is always perfect. I would need to bring the food back. Needless to say I left and went to Rosies Corner. Terrific food. Never wrong always pleasant. Will not go back to Taco Sol.
