Went in for lunch and placed order with server. Order got mixed up and was brought out wrong item. Was told it would take about another 15-20 minutes to bring out what we originally ordered after waiting 20 minutes. Instead of leaving the food on the table, she came over and took it away. When asked are you going to server that to someone , she replied yes. Lady was rude and seemed very uncaring and unprofessional. Becareful when eating here because you never know where your food has been before it gets to your table. Absolutely horrifying.

Strange when the manger came out and asked if we could eat with in and hour and half...the restaurant tables were all reserved...when this happens you should be told before entering..hard to enjoy your meal after that..

My partner and puppy and I have been coming here for the past 2 years because . The food is amazing, the service is incredible and they allow dogs on the patio. Lylas (sounds like Leah) is our server 90% of the time and she brings us out drinks without ordering them and then out comes our food without ordering it too. She has an amazing memory and her service and kindness is second to none, she makes us feel like coming back time after time they must cook with some Pretty High End Ingredients because we always feel so good afterwards. The kindest people!! Passing through town on a big road trip, I was looking for a dog friendly patio. I saw online that these guys allowed that, however they had their patio closed upon arrival (I believe it had been a very rainy day). I asked if they knew any other patios, and one girl came back saying they would set us up a table outside. Food was great and service was even better. Appreciate you all!

It was a wonderful evening tonight just my wife and I. Ace was our server and did a wonderful job watching out for my allergies and our needs. If I could give 6 out of 5 for service I would! Have been going frequently to see the live music on fridays, excellent musicians. Friendly servers, good beer choices and food has always been made perfectly and at a reasonable price.

Came in here early afternoon on a monday got a couple of pints and their great Canadian poutine. The poutine is great for pricing and it tasted wonderful, salty but not too salty (if u dont like salt it will be too salty salt lover here and its borderline too salty), they did the classic gravy on cheese to try and melt it which most curds were melted idc if its melted or not the thought counts. Fries were crispy, noticed a decent amount of bacon chunks. Servers were very friendly! Will return.

I am one of those people who always leaves a bite on my plate, but not tonight! The cheese tortellini was so delicious I didnt even leave myself leftovers, The sauce it is in is creamy, garlicy, with a slight spice that makes the dish one of the best meals Ive had in 2023. Highly recommend for great food, a yummy drink and a good time.

This place has been up and down for me over the years, but that s mainly because of the franchise. Absolutely loved it when it first opened, but it went downhill when Cara Foods took over and the menu was like all the others. Now that they have been bought out, the new menu is awesome. Had the hot and sweet pork belly bites for an appetizer which were great and had the Staked Fried Chicken Burger which was very large, full of flavour and left me satisfied. The service was great and we were taken care of very well. The waiter was great with my friend in finding lactose options and brining out the ingredient binder from the kitchen to be absolutely sure. Definitely will go back soon. giving 4 stars to leave them something to strive for; maybe they can earn that last star if they bring back the Guinness gravy they had when they first opened ;)

Our server Vance is killing it. The new menu is great and consistent and this place has great pub vibes, especially when you consider it s a chain.

Stopped in to satisfy a craving for wings. Well, let s just say that I made the right choice!!! Service was top notch and the wings were outstanding.

We ve been twice in the last month or so. Live music was great ! Food was yummy! I have some dietary issues but they accommodated me no problem.

Live music was awesome. Service was excellent. The food was sub-par. Stacked Chicken Sandwich was so small. Disappointing. It was definately not worth the price although it tasted pretty good. The fries were cold and under-cooked. Salmon in the Cajun Salmon bowl was overcooked. It was dry. Portion was very small for a bowl. Kids burger was burned. Taste charcoaly.

We love reserving the Snug or Nook. My husband and I feel so special and comfortable there. The service is excellent as well as the food!

Today I was very disappointed with my experience here at Fionn McCools. They keep changing the items on the menu to very low quality food without advising customers of the changes. They also didnt honour a gift card that we had purchased at as a gift. The food wad cold and the beer was warm. It was a low quality dinni g experience, unfortunately.

I stayed in Sudbury for 2 months at the house a kin next door to Fiona MacCool s while my daughter was in the hospital in the ICU. I ate everyday here and Bev the manager make so many offers to help me out and the happy bar tender Rob would ask about my daughter all the time they really cared , place became my sanctuary from the hospital it has amazing food great atmosphere and very personal. I would strongly recommend

Had an incredible time last night at the pub. They had live music which was relevant and fun . Food was tasteful , hot and plentiful. The best part of the night was LeLa the server, we had so much fun interacting with her , drinks were on time , prompt and at end of night we will return hoping we get her as a server once again . Cheers to the great lady from Kapuskaping from the seniors crew!

Love it when a restaurant is empty and I get ignored for 10-15 minutes. Sat in the bar section, no bartender behind the bar the entire time I was there. Walked out and didn t say anything because what s the point? No one there cares about making money off me. 7:00pm, Sunday July 2nd.

Its a wonderful and lively Irish pub, the atmosphere is electric esp on live music nights. Food and drinks are great too. I would say its a must visit place if youre in Sudbury!

Very good bar, good food and big plates. The only thing was the steak, which seemed to be old and hard. Told my gf, that steak seems to be old and I dont like it. After my stomach hurt a lot and had to sit the whole evening on the toilet...

I love the food but why did you change the bread on the chicken club sandwich from ciabatta to soft sliced bread? It used to be my favourite sandwich and the bread made it better but now it gets soggy. So sad :(

Not the best pic, but the fish n chips were excellent . I had fish nchips at Overtime the previous night, and Fionn MacCools is way better. Decent portion too. Ill have to return to try out other items on the menu sported with a Guinness.

I miss some of the older options from the menu. Staff was pleasant but we were double charged with a communications error with their debit machine which took a month to correct.

Very nice interior decor giving an impression of late 1800s early 1900s vibe. The chowder is thick and delicious you can really taste the clam umami. Their tap local brewery beer selection is great and their Guiness meat stew is amazing with bacon bits. The beef chunks are braised until all the flavor has come out and the taste is out of this world.

Iam gluten free and was very excited that I had more choice then pizza, pasta or a salad got the chicken and bacon on a gf ciabatta bun with a Caesar salad very good meal!

Manager Bev and server Ashley M. provided exceptional customer service today. My wife and I are seniors moving across Canada and we were very tired when we arrived at Fionn MacCools for lunch. Manager Bev greeted us warmly and provided such great service and conversation that it immediately brightened up our day. We were so impressed that we came back for dinner where Ashley M, continued their exceptional customer service. We thank them both very much and they have made a difficult trip more enjoyable. Actually this was the best Fionns Ive been to. The food was excellent.

Like many restaurants here in Sudbury, this place too, has taken a dive. It was one of the few pub style places left we d give a chance to and was left disappointed. The mashed potatoes were instant - not even real potatoes. In an Irish pub! The steak and mushroom pie was pure salt. My husband who usually eats until he needs a nap, had about 5 bites and couldn t take it anymore. $58 on a meal we couldn t eat. We understand the cost of doing business has gone up. But, skimping on food quality is not going to bring in our revenue any further. Never going back to Phionn s again. Sad and disappointed.

Our waitress wasnt great to be honest, we had to keep asking for things like cutlery, sauce, napkins - as they werent brought over. The burger was dry, really disappointed. The waffle fries were tasty and the cider Mojito was amazing - Id go back just for that!

Balarny chips are my go to; Id give it 5 stars if it brought back that short rib dip sandwich cause that was heavenly (even temporarily)

We stopped into this location while visiting Sudbury. We were greeted at the door with a smile and welcoming staff. We sat to look over the menu for take out and we re offered a drink from the bartender. The beer was fresh and he knew his stuff. The food (Fionn s burger) was great and serving size was fair. The staff were all wonderful. The food was great.

Saying something is gluten free on your website menu, but cooking the items in the same oil you ve cooked items that are NOT gluten free or frying on a grill that has not been cleaned after items not gluten free.. then makes that item NOT GLUTEN FREE.. which is incredibly hard for someone who doesn t choose to be gluten free, but medically REQUIRES there to be no gluten In their food. If I had not called the restaurant I would have proceeded to order said gluten free food via website and my wife would have eaten it and gotten very very sick. Do better !

As a family we have been to Fionn s many many times at many locations always decent food BUT at this Sudbury location the service was less than. :(:( table was sticky with food on the floor. Slow service. The food was good and the menu diverse so that s what earns the 4 stars.

Food was very good, I got the tuna poke bowl. The rice in the poke bowl was jasmine, which personally I feel is a bit odd. Overall the food was really good, tuna wasnt gamey and ingredients seemed fresh. Waitress was really good at accomodating our food allergies and inquiries. Hands down would say check this place out. The Ceasar salad had a generous amount of parmesan, may not be to everyones taste and appeared to have a lot of sauce to lettuce ratio. (Wasnt my meal but at an eyes glace it seemed this way) Tips practice section: It should be noted that this place operates on a tip pool practice. So not all of your tip goes to the waiting staff but is shared with the higher paid kitchen staff. The staff cant owe the house money which is good but the staff can loose there tips to the kitchen by the sounds of it. An unconfirmed but speculating detail is that the kitchens cut is likely based on food dollar ordered like other places so the kitchens cut is more guaranteed which again speculativly is silly. Waiting staff are paid minimum wage though and have a guaranteed income regardless of tips which is good to see when there is a tip pool practice in place. All in all the experience was good.

Good times. Ive visited several times over the years. The food is always good quality and service is good too; friendly and quick service. The place has the typical pub feel, and is a nice place to have drinks. The beer battered cauliflower is incredible. The salmon bowl was good too, however it could use way less creamy sauce ( especially if its supposed to be considered a healthier alternative to other pub options)

Tonight I dined at Fionn for the first time with my board of directors of the Sudbury and District Kennel Club. The service was great the staff went beyond to accommodate our group with the table setting. Our waiter was really nice and service was great. And the food was really good. Chicken sandwich was over cooked chewy and bland. As a side of vegetables they have 6 small peices of broccoli that were over cooked to near mush. Awful experience

Excellent food and even better service

I hate to say this but our experience with this restaurant was really unpleasant. Right from the start the cell phone sign in at the door was not suitable for us as we stood there trying to figure out the process. We are seniors and not tech savvy. The web site advertised Taco Tues. so being it was Tues. on the day we were celebrating our granddaughters graduation and tacos are her favourite we went there. While trying to get signed in I asked the hostess about the tacos and she had no idea what I was talking about and never offered to find out. We should of known right there something wasnt right but we continued on to give the place a chance thinking maybe the waitress would know more. We decided to sit out on the patio and we were seated on wet seats! It was raining off and on all day and no one had the presence of mind to dry the seats. All 3 of us ended up with uncomfortable damp butts for the rest of our afternoon which we had planned on doing some shopping. We picked out 3 different beers before we found one they had that we liked and our granddaughter ordered chocolate milk. The waitress didnt know what taco Tuesday was either but did let us know the only tacos they had were fish tacos. Our granddaughter does not like fish! The chocolate milk was not the real macoy but was a small glass of milk with some chocolate sauce in it which our granddaughter said was gross. When the waitress brought the milk out she informed us the beer was going to be a bit because they were changing kegs. After looking at the limited menu and prices for what was being offered, we decided we were not going to stay. We asked for our bill for the milk which was $3.50 so we paid with our MC not having any cash on us and there was no way to pay on their machine without leaving a tip! We actually had to leave a tip in order for the machine to except the payment for the milk so we could get out of there! We paid $5 for a half a glass of milk that was gross. The service was terrible and no one seemed to care or know what was going on. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Great location on Regent Street. During the phase 1 reopening, they had great patio dining options. We went in for a dinner and had good service. The atmosphere was relaxed and our server took great care of us. We ordered burger and fish and chips. Both were fresh and hot and tasted very good. Although the prices were high, the quantity was plentiful. Definite recommendation for ppl around Sudbury area.

Was left without a server after being interrupted to pay while eating. Wrong drink order, missed a drink, and one of our meals was upsized without our request.

The meal are delicious . The service is very good . I miss that sea food creamy chowder, they don t have it anymore.

Very disappointed. Imagine having your order substituted without your knowledge or consent. After its delivered to your table your server asks if there is a problem. Server is lucky the order went to my wife and not me. She would have gotten a much different reception. Just BAD waitressing.

Went for my birthday, and our server was excellent. I had the Guinness Steak and Mushroom Bowl, which was flavourful, albeit a little too salty, and a pint of Guinness which as always was delicious (but the pour was a bit off as the head was too big). Fionn MacCool s has a great, welcoming atmosphere, and it s a great place for an evening out.

The staff was very nice and attentive, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. We ate around 4pm on a Sunday, so it wasn t very busy or loud. The fish was tasty and didn t have that not so fresh fish taste you get at some places. It was a good serving that came with fries (obviously) and a creamy coleslaw, also delicious.

First time at this location. The hostess and server were extremely friendly and hospitable. We were a party of 8, and all of our food orders were spot on. Large portion size, and again our waitress was attentive. I had the spicy shrimp penne. It was delicious! Give them a try!

Been here twice now. Nice looking place. Beautiful, spacious, open, patio. The food was...well, its a chain restaurant with chain food. Perfectly fine for what it is. Im giving it 5 stars because the service was incredible - waaay better than it has any business being. Hostess was excellent, server was excellent and attentive - better than a lot of premium restaurants in town. Well definitely be back. If the owner of the business is reading this - your wait staff are spectacular.
