Garden Grille & Bar - Sudbury in Greater Sudbury

Ordered the Moroccan lamb shank for dinner. The lamb was not all that flavourful and the risotto that accompanied it, which was cooked in asiago cheese, did not pair with the lamb at all. While it is only one dish that I tried, the level of incongruence within that one dish makes me question the entire menu. The wine list leaves something to be desired. The atmosphere was fine, a bit loud with odd choices for music at times. Service felt a bit chaotic and didn't pick up on cues very well (eg time for the next course).

Went for a Birthday Dinner as heard only good about their restaurant. Restaurant was super noisy, had to basically yell to have a conversation. Ordered the smoked trout and octopus for apps. Smoked trout was great..octopus was burnt. Ordered the gnocchi special for entrée, then informed after appx.45 minutes they had "run out" . Decided to wait the extra time to have it...much longer than promised. Communication between kitchen and wait staff must be very poor. Waitress did comp our octopus and a glass of wine..much appreciated hwvr won't be returning!

Food tastes really good. It took a long time for food to come out. My waitress was not as friendly. However, some of the other waitresses seem happy, welcoming and friendly. For Sudbury the prices seem very high in comparison to other locations for brunch.

Great evening at this establishment. Michelle was my server and she was absolutely lovely. Servers will always make or break my experience and she was just awesome! Patio was a nice spot to eat on a gorgeous summer night. Food was excellent and steak was cooked to perfection! I’ve never been somewhere so elegant that made me feel upscale like the Garden Grille.

We had dinner and everything was excellent. We had bruscheta and pork belly for enties and was excellent, then we had Smoke meat, curry chicken, linguini shrimp and hamburger evryone enjoyed there dinner and big plates. We also like to give a very big thank to our server Micheals for the excellent service and recommendation. I really recommend this restaurant anytime and will beback next time to Sudbury.

I'm going to start by saying that the restaurant was our destination, we weren't hotel guests. I heard really good things about the food so my wife and I planned to have dinner here on a Saturday evening. The food was so good that we ended up coming back two nights later for another meal. The four mains that we ordered across the two meals were absolutely wonderful and I have to say that the gnocchi is the best that I have ever had.

Delicious food in a beautiful space. I wish the live music wasn’t so pound, was hard to have a conversation but overall, fantastic experience. Our server Kate was the sweetest! Highly recommend.

After hearing the hype about this restaurant it was time for us to try it out. I know it sounds unconventional going to a restaurant in a hotel, but trust me the visit is worth it. The 4 of us went on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was quite busy and there was live music to top off the experience. The musical guest was very talented and played a lot of recognizable music from various eras, however, I found the volume a little too loud when trying to have a conversation. Aside from that the entertainment was welcomed. Our server was super attentive and provided us suggestions regarding our order. Our appetizers, mains and desserts were fantastic. As a vegetarian the butternut squash ravioli was to die for! Yes the prices are a little high, but that is commonly seen in hotel restaurants. Overall we enjoyed our night out and I hope to see more vegetarian options the next time I return.
