Good food.. but the place is dark ( or maybe i am just old or need better eyeglasses)

I live out of town now but, whenever I return to Sudbury, MIC is a guaranteed stop....or in this case, it will be twice. In the years Ive been eating here, Ive always had a great meal.

Had the Atlantic Salmon and my friend had the Hoser burger very tasty service was a little rude, the other servers we had that came in and out were friendly. Kinda felt ignored after paying the bill. But Ill be back food was good. Vegetarian options: Yes and marked on menu

Overall food was okay. Do not order the Moules & Frites. For $22, you get 9 muscles and a bowl of fries.

They wouldnt serve my girlfriend any whiskey because I smoke a joint before I went in sooo lame like she dont even smoke y cant she have a drink

Was a little disappointed by our recent visit to M.I.C, mostly to do with the quality of the food. Before I go into the food, may I say the staff are excellent, the beer and liquor selection is awesome and I appreciate that you stock local/northern beers since most places don t! So, the brisket poutine was very average. The brisket seemed to be overly fatty. Which, yes I know brisket is cooked as basically a slab of fat ontop that s meant to render.. but this had clearly excess fat that should of been trimmed before even going in the smoker. The fries were overcooked and just tasted like old fryer oil.. I know sometimes though this can be a starch issue that causes that taste. My two other guests food was okay, the fish and chips seemed to be a thick batter which is strange as usually it s a nice batter. We will retry it again next time we are in Sudbury as we enjoy the food usually. The wings were honestly a bit of a joke. $18 for 8 anorexic wings. Flavour was apparently good but the price for the portion size is a bit nuts, especially in this economy. I hope this isn t seen as a dig, it s more a hope that the quality will improve and become consistent as we find sometimes we have an excellent experience and then other times it s lackluster.

Fantastic fast friendly service. Extensive gluten free choices. Great food. Wonderful cocktails. Clean large indoor or outdoor dining area. Kettle chips were delicious. Gluten free 4 cheese pasta was superb.

Weve been to Sudbury countless times and I cant believe Weve never been here before. We WILL be back!!!!! Amazing food with a creative Candian flare.

We had high hopes for the place. Unfortunately, it didnt meet our expectations. The service was inconsistent: it kept on switching from overly attentive with awkward jokes to forgetting about basic service (refilling water, bringing ketchup). The food was ok but not very tasty.

Really good food, friendly staff

Such a fabulous place! The staff are so wonderful and the Canadian touches on all the dishes are great. The maple BBQ wings are particularly tasty and patriotic!

One of our favorite places to eat. The menu is great and unique in many ways compared to other restaurants. Services has always been great and we go back here often.

Its been a long time and wow what a great change. Their pea soup is the best restaurant pea soup. Chicken wings were perfect. Mentioned this to my large family and found out they all really like the place. A new casual favorite!

Our first time there, food took a very long time to come, we were there before 5pm. Guys said burgers were great, but our salmon was dry and overcooked. Staff was friendly but not too attentive. Too pricey.

Stopped here twice this week, first time buyer patty was way over cooked and this time I ordered pouting to go before getting on the bus, did let them know I was going on a bus and no cutlery . Small things but really annoying. Service was good tho

Loved the food. Kinda pricey. With the price being what it is, our drinks came in a plastic cup. $32 for a dish and my water was in a plastic cup. Not impressed with the plastic cup.

Very cold in restaurant. Overheard other customers comments on being cold. Food was poor quality, fish was deep-fried too long, brisket was overly fatty had large chunks of fat on burnt bread bun. Returned brisket and still excessively fatty (half inch by 4 inch long piece of fat in second sandwich. I recommend their chefs (need to send back to school to finish course) and cooks be retrained on food prep both in cooking and food presentation as well as communication when the waitress specifically tells them how the customer wishes their food. Best part of evening was when the waitress asked if I wanted a box to take home the remains and not ask me how the food was prior. Most humorous! And probably embarrassing when I laughed at her. By the way, I thru up after I was home. Maybe something I ate?

Well, tonight Marc and I went out for supper at MIC for #memoriesmatter, to support dementia in honor of my mom and my aunts who had it. A portion of our meals went to the local chapter. Marc had the bbq combo and I had the birria (braised beef) salad. All we could say was outstanding!!! We think it is the best bbq in town, for the places we have gone in Sudbury. You all know Marc is Mr BBQ and he was raving about it. Great food for a cause close my my heart!!! They do it on a real offset smoker!! Now that is true bbq!! Go there and help this cause and have some good BBQ!!!

It was nice experience

I miss being able to eat more of the menu options, but unfortunately management or the owner is really stretching the Gluten Friendly details. Anything fried will be instantly cross contaminated, as they do not have a dedicated or gluten free fryer. So if you have dietary restrictions its imperative that you ask the waitress for clarification, and question the steps that were used to prepare the foods. This is the biggest reason for giving 3 stars. Their food otherwise for most people is delicious and worth checking out. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

I do not get here often enough, but the food is always great with good service.

Noodles were very very salty. Was asked to change them. Refused. Chicken was already a bit dry so would be dryer after reheat. Mushroom sauce had about 6-7 pieces of mushroom. No vegetables in plate. At 30$ bread couldve served also with plate. Very disappointed.

I am from B.C and this is one of the best burger places in Canada. Great service, clean environment, and delicious food! I was working near Sudbury and stopped here for some food after work. I seen their large 5 patty burger on the menu and had to try it. Best decision ever! Cheesy, lots of bacon and filling! I ate the entire thing with the fries and I was actually full, which doesn t happen too often since I got a small family inside my stomach haha. Thanks for the great service, and I look forward to coming back to Sudbury to have another monster burger! Keep it up!

stopped in for dinner.. walked over fron a local.motel...lots of parking available a d east to find. A very Canadian experience... The staff is amazing..very helpful and knowledgable. Very pleasant amd just adds.to the experience here. Summer specials.. try the smoked platter.. had half order ribs and wings with beans coleslaw and corn bread.. with a side of kettle chips.. lots to eat.. very tasty. Try the Sapsucker water.. its infused with maple sap.... definitely has become my go to place when in town

Great food and service

We love MIC, not only for their food but service as well. We have now, on two occasions had a poor experience ordering through Indie Eats. Even though it was of no fault of their own, a manager delivered our food personally, and also wanted to be sure we had a little something for a future dining experience. They definitely went above and beyond!

In totality this is a fun place to be around. The service was fast and the food was good.

My fish was not cooked inside and all gummy could not eat. Others were ok with theirs. Seems it was cooked in to hot oil so outside looked a little to brown and inside doughie

Please clean all the dead leaves in the windows! Awful to see.

Always a good place to grab a meal

The restaurant has declined in the last 6 months or so. Ordered the seafood medley. Mussels were not cleaned properly and I was chewing on sand. There was 2 small properly canned shrimp , maybe 5 Bay scallops and barely any sauce. I asked for garlic bread and got a plain bun. I should have listened when I heard it was going down hill. Will Sudbury ever get a good restaurant that can maintain quality and consistency?

This place was so good that we wanted to move to Canada to just eat the food! All of the food was spectacular and super filling! There was such a diverse selection of appetizers, entrees, soups, and dessert. There was also good music and a really nice rustic cabin atmosphere and photos all over. We got bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious! They have delicious food and you should go! I wish I could give it 6 stars! Dietary restrictions: Our littlest has a peanut allergy. This restaurant went the extra mile and even dug out the ingredients for all the desserts before letting us order. Kid-friendliness: Just great! The kids loved it so much they wrote the review. :-)

It was a really nice atmosphere. There were also plenty of options on the menu.

I oredered a burger with their homemade kettle-cooked chips and everything was amazing! Our server was thoughtful enough to suggest that I get the hot sauce on the side (it was my first time at the place) and it was definitely the right call! The atmosphere was warm, the prices were fair, the washrooms were clean (and they have paper towels!), all in all we left the place full and happy. Thank you!

Restraunt with a identity Crisis Food was very Meh, and bland, Zero Seasoning. Pork Ribs cut was half 1/3 Meat 1/3 Bone 1/3 cartilage Beans came out So hot,i burned my tounge on them (now I know hot food shouldnt be a complaint but.. Theres Hot, then Too Hot) Server was amazing Tho

Visited from out of town as we stayed next door. Food was just ok, we wouldnt go out of our way to return again. Higher than average pricing for the kids menu compared to other options in the area, and the food quality didnt make up for it. Service was great.

Great place. Bar staff were awesome, server was good if, if a little shy and wasnt able to give menu recommendations, but efficient and accurate. Bar staff were great while we waited, and answering our questions after. Food was fantastic, as were the local beers. Value for food was also high. Definitely try the brisket. We were referred to MIC, by our hotel. I think there was supposed to be a referral discount but we neglected to ask at MIC. We will be back Kid-friendliness: Sure

Canadian whisky bar across from my hotel? Now that sounded like a real treat. So I took off the work clothes for a plaid shirt, jeans and boots and went on down for some whisky. Safe to say this place exceeded my expectations. The bartender was professional and a true master of his craft. The meatloaf he suggested was by far the best I have ever had. Such great atmosphere to be at, makes for easy chats with the lads sitting at the bar and what was expected to be a boring worktrip night turned out to be quite memorable. MIC, I will be back.

They have a nice spot beside the fireplace for a romantic dinner, or for those that want to just be at a bar there is an area here as well. They also have a spot that families can sit and the staff treated us like gold would definitely come back again.

Maybe it was what I ordered, but I had a hard time giving the food anything more than 3 stars. The appetizers were delicious but my ribs were maybe a 6/10. Atmosphere was a bit noisy but to be expected due to how popular the restaurant is. The service was excellent and the speed at which food/drinks were served was well planned even with it being very busy that night. I was not a fan of the bill at the end of the night, it seemed a little steep but I also considered the add ons to the meals that were ordered at the table for 4. All things considered I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Bring your appetite! Portions are huge. We had meatloaf with mushroom and beef gravy, as well as pork schnitzel. Both entrées had mashed potatoes and vegetables were carrots and brussel sprouts. Coffee was really good. Highly recommend

Special occasion dinner with family. Im not gonna speak for others with me but myself. Ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was good, but warm to cool. The Linguini somehow turned into Spaghetti & was way over cooked. Looked like something you would make the night before & warm in a pot or microwave the next day. The sauce was bitter tasting & lacked taste, & was also just luke warm. This dish cost $29 & fell super short of its mark. The atmosphere was good, but my dining experience made it feel like I was eating at my old high school cafeteria. Im not one to complain to waiter/waitress(s) & didnt. I just dont understand how they could have got this expensive dish sooooo wrong. I truly refuse to believe that a chef or an experienced cook would have made this. With the prices this establishment charges, I believe they should have some type of quality control.

Walked in at 9.20 pm and the server was all smiles, food was all amazing (2 brisket poutine, 1 striploin steak, 1 seafood medly linguine, so very different foods!) Great selection of whiskey, wine, beer and all that. Maybe just a bit dim... but great if you want a sports event (tvs everywhere) or romantic dinner (great fireplace and food). A-maz-ing. Talked about coming back here again, even though were from Northern Wisconsin. 100% great.

We were a group of 5. We sat in the cabin had to wait forever to see a server and food took some time. My companion ordered the same dish, and it was like I got the scraps. The food was delicious. Otherwise, Im not sure if I would visit again, but the restaurant was highly recommended to me.

The food here is so good omg. I was not expecting that since I found it while traveling. The prices here are good too, not expensive, but not super cheap. The decorations are beautiful and really fit the theme of the restaurant.

The place was beautiful inside but not a very good lay out as the second we walked in the girl seating us first words were oh I didnt see u there not to mention not a single person was there besides us it seemed but we tried anyways cause me and the women love experiencing new places but this was by far from good but they sat us by a fire place witch was nice as it was warm instead of cold like most places the waitress was very friendly and polite but the food was horrible my chicken was so dry it was stuck in my throat when it did come up it scratched my esophagus so bad I was spitting blood for 2 hours after we left now the cook did come out and apologize and clear our bill my gf never ate her food as well as nothing was fully cooked but all in all we didnt eat we didnt pay but we did leave the waitress a tip as it wasnt her fault and she was very kind but all in all wont be going back also prices are way over priced its priced based off of looks of the dining not the food

They went above and beyond for us. We order take out on a very busy Saturday night. When we got back to our hotel we noticed our Cesar salad was missing, we called they delivered it to our hotel which was near by, along with a free complimentary desserts to try. I will for sure be back on my next visit to sudbury. The food was also amazing, we got the platter with salad, chicken fingers, wings and fries. There three of us we ate it for two meals there was so much.

Good first experience. We sat in the bar area with lots of TVs to watch the game. I believe these are proper 20oz pints! Good variety on the menu, something for everyone. Good burgers. Kettle chip nachos kinda greasy and not for me. Dinning room looked inviting with the cosy fireplace. Since inflation I m critical of value for money equation in my reviews, and that s reflected in my score. I would recommend and put this on my rotation when in town.

Had a layover in CYSB, was referred to this restaurant. Its got a Montanas feel but with a Canadian twist. Very friendly, and warm atmosphere. Prices and portions were good.

Me and my boyfriend went out here for dinner, the menu and drinks seemed right up our alley and we were not disappointed. Our wait time for a table on a Saturday night moved along quick, we had great service, the place was clean and a really great bar/restaurant atmosphere with lots of screens even in the booths to watch the hockey game. The food is like no other! Unique menu and delicious, portions were great and the price wasn t a problem for all the food we got! Reuben cheese balls and the Seafood fettuccini was amazing! We will definitely be back!

We came here because we wanted to visit a restaurant local to Sudbury. The menu had such amazing sounding items. The angus brisket on ciabatta bread and the gravy was definitely something that I would come back for - everything else not so much. The smoke meat poutine didnt taste as good as we thought it would for the price.

Felt so welcome here and the food is just beyond amazing, I don t regret coming here at all The Cuban sandwiches and their fish and chips is beyond the average!!!

Definitely nothing special or memorable about MIC. I only attended for a bd celebration for someone else. My husband found his battered fish very mushy and others at the table were not very happy with their food selections either.

We went over the holiday season. It was very busy. The food was OK. We ordered a sweet and spicy chicken sandwich and side poutine to share. For 30$ the sandwich didnt taste sweet and spicy and the poutine was definitely very small. Fries are where restaurants should overserve instead of undeserve in my opinion. The service was slow but it was busy that day, so understood. Good place to say weve tried, none the less.

Went to M.i c on Jan 4th. Me my mom and my son I ordered mushroom caps and salmon stuft with seafood. My mushroom caps came and I bite into them and they were cold onside. I mentioned it to our server she apologized and took them . She came back with a 2nd order and when I bit into one it was still ice. I got up to get the waitress and asked her to feel the I side sure enough it was cold. I recieved my meal and went to take a bite of My rice and it was cold . I thought no way seriously. I got a waitress that was walking by and told her and she said she would get the manager. The manager arrived and he says I touched your mushroom caps they were warm .Im thinking to myself did u try a bite cause there still frozen. He asked if I wanted to take .y meal Togo and no charge but I was over it. I was starving wheen I walked in and disgusted when I walked out. I cant believe thry thought it was ok to serve cold food. My son says if u dont believe here touch the mushroom cap. The manager says Im not here to argue and takes the food away. Very disappointed in the food and the manager

Came to Sudbury to watch the Kitchener rangers vs the Sudbury Wolves. Went to M.I.C for dinner. Had the ribs. Best ribs I ve had in a very long time. Went back the next day for a burger. Awesome burger. Had the Crazy Canuck burger. Highly recommend MIC !!!! Excellent food and excellent staff. Food

We really love theres spinach dip and the vibe of the restaurant is really relaxing, in my opinion.

Enjoy a delicious meal here last night. We sat next to the large fire place which was perfect on a snowy night. Our server Emily was very attentive. We tried two whiskey drinks to start and Blueberry whiskey Mojito and the godfather. While we liked both the Godfather was the better choice. The hand rolled cheese strings were the perfect bite of crunch and melty cheese and the marinara was delicious too! Two of our party had burgers and were very impressed with the flavour combos and the burgers themselves which were thick and juicy. I had the maple Brie chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it with my side of parsnips and baked potato. Overall a great meal and we will be back.

Was in Sudbury for few hours and my host suggested MIC. Amazing local joint with delicious food and up to expectation service. Would recommend and will be back again if I m in the area.

We had an amazing time! The food was great, our server Andrea was so kind and thoughtful. Our table was in a nice cozy spot and once the children climbing the walls left, it was perfect.

Had the pleasure of reuniting with family here. We all had a great time. The food shared was the calamari, and the braised riblets. Safe to say nobody was disappointed. Very good. Followed by their Brown Butter Pickerel for myself which was absolutely incredible. The spacious seating makes it comfortable for all party sizes, and the service was quick. The food for me, was unexpectedly better.. than I expected for some reason. Sorry for the assumption lol Ill be coming back.
