Server took our order. Only came back after we finished eating. Our food came to the table cold. My wife never got what she ordered. This restaurant is usually fantastic but this was just terrible. The restaurant was not that busy so not sure why such a terrible experience.

We stopped in at this Sudbury Swiss Chalet for dinner, after traveling for approximately 13 hours. We were exhausted and hungry, and could not have been happier with the food and service we received.

Love my quarter chicken dinner with frys but always fresh and best food at Swiss Chalet my go to for when I want to dine out for Supper

The food is not even close to what it used to be. The portions seem smaller and the flavour just isnt there like it used to be. Prices are getting a little high but so is everywhere else.

Still exactly why you d expect from Swiss Chalet. Service was great as always. Food came quick.

I found that the service has a kind and warming attitude when walking in the door. Kid-friendliness: Has a treasure chest for children to use when they are done eating.

I went through the drive thru and ordered a Chicken Caesar salad. There was NO chicken in the salad. I should have checked it before leaving the drive thru. Advise: check your order as soon as you get it! Update: I was contacted and a resolution has been found.

I love this place so much. The food you can tell is so fresh, and the cook takes his time with the food. I love how the staff are always so kind, and patient. Parking: The parking here is awesome. There is always room to park. Plus there is parking for people with wheelchairs, and people who struggle to walk.

Sudbury Barrydown location has the best service hands down. We skip the trendy restaurants to come here, we do all our family parties here. Everyone from the front staff to the servers etc go over and above every time! Vegetarian options: Lots of options for us vegetarians and yummy!

My partner, my son and I were expecting to have a nice birthday dinner last night when we were rudely interrupted by an old women yelling out put a mask on it after my son had a little outburst for not only 5 seconds. That outraged us but we just left it alone. After 15-20 minutes while we were waiting on our main meals my son was having a fun time cheering for him self. When this old rotten lady came to our table and said I m here to talk to your son to teach them about having manners so after that comment my partners and I had an argument with said old lady until our food came and our server did nothing to help gain control of the situation, so I asked him to retrieve a manager but the only one to come was the host who sat us in our booth. Im discouraged to come back because nothing was done for us after this rotten old lady came up and insulted us. Also the service wasn t really good, the server didn t check up with any quality control regarding our food. And we were never offered a refill for our drinks despite the drinks being empty prior to our food being brought to our booth. Overall this place doesn t have your back when a deranged women comes and interrupts your son s birthday dinner and the service isn t really good.

Never had a bad experience. Management is attentive and listens to concerns should any arise.

Parking: It was good Food

Went here recently and was not satisfied with our visit. We had called early in the morning to make a reservation for the evening. They were confused whether or not they could do reservations or not so had to ask management. After confirming they could and taking our information, Later that evening we attended at the time that was set for a reservation they spelled my name wrong on the list so claimed they couldnt find me even though I provided them the details on spelling and the time it was for and the phone number given. We then were told we had to wait and get a call as soon as a table was ready for us. Past our time we had asked to have the reservation. We wandered around town until we got the call to come back. We were seated near the bathrooms which wasnt really nice for a date. Food portions were small and the chicken was very grizzle like not much meat. My fiancé was not impressed with mashed potatoes almost resembling instant potatoes and very powder like. Sadly as a first visit this makes me question whether not to go again. They need better organization skills for making reservations and when someone makes a reservation you shouldnt be letting people just coming in to eat go ahead of those who have made a reservation. Overall very clean and servers are nice and dont keep you waiting.

Food was fine but underwhelming. Also frustrating because we had to get takeout instead of eating in: checked online and their holiday hours said open until 9pm, but when we arrived they told us they were closing at 8 so they wouldn t seat us.

The staff Val and Nicole and many others are very efficient and go above and beyond to please customers at all times. Site says they re open till 8 but a poorly written paper sign on the door says 7:30 today, as if customers are supposed to magically know that somehow. Change your hours online and if you can t be bothered doing that, then stick to them. Waste of a drive to the restaurant. Go elsewhere

Disappointed to learn that the festive meals only go until Dec 28th, 2022. I think the festive meal should have been offered until at least the New Year as patrons can unfortunately only use their $10 coupons after Dec 28th. However the waitress failed to tell me that Dec 28th is the last day that a festive meal is offered. Ridiculous ! Why dont you allow customers to use their coupons a bit earlier in order for them to enjoy these holiday meals or offer them a bit longer ?

It is always pleasant dining here. The good prices bring me in. The chicken wings are a bit disappointing, they were small and unbreaded with sauce. The poutine was great, almost chip stand style. You can t go wrong coming here around the holidays. It s a nice restaurant to sit down in when looking for a fair bargain.

Ordered over the phone. 15 minutes they said. Turned into a full 30 min wait after I arrived. Charged for the wrong order then reimbursed with cash? Then it was time to argue about using a holiday coupon. Quality of Food hasn t changed but the level of quality service certainly has.

We love Swiss Chalet, we used to eat there every week or 2. We have had this happen a couple of times now. The food was so dry it was hard to enjoy our meal. Since the plastic dinner trays are no longer used, the cardboard containers that are being used for takeout now suck all the moisture out of the food. Chicken and ribs lose their sauce and dry out and the rice sticks to the box which dries it out also. Please line the boxes with waxed paper or tin foil like other restaurants do to retain the goodness we are expecting when we order your food. Unfortunately the result was not a nice dining experience and we are unsure if/when we will eat there again. Very disappointing

Tonights dinner has been the best in a long time. The last two visits the chicken had been dry but tonight everything was perfect. Fries and chicken were delicious our waiter always had a smile on his face and looked happy to be working.

Vegetarian options: Need more healthy options

We ordered the chicken tenders with fries and chicken wrap with ceasar salad meals. The chicken and wrap were good. But the fries were not great. I wish that they would clean their fries before cooking them. There is no reason for half of the fries to have large black spots/dirt/potato eyes etc. Its gross. Clean the potato properly before making the fries. Every time we order a meal for take out with the side salad, the salad is never given to us. I often have to go back to get the side salads. Today, I remembered to check my order in the parking lot, but had to go back in for the salads. On the menu and on the app all of these hand held meals show a large dill pickle on the plate in the photos. I have yet to ever get one of these pickles with my wrap meal or chicken sandwich meals. If your store does not serve the pickle, remove it from your photos. Its disappointing. The manager guy at the front with glasses. Is always SUPER nice and welcoming! Best part about going there is his great service. Thank you for helping get my salads on a regular basis.

Stale food. I could taste the stale reheated chicken in the two pieces chicken meal, the kid meal and the chicken spring rolls we ordered. I couldnt eat a thing it was so stale. Filled my tummy with french fries. Definitely not coming back.

We usually enjoy Swiss Chalet. My husband was happy with his beef sandwich. However I had a wrap which was OK but stone cold and the side salad at the end of Aug was an insult to the name salad. A lot of iceberg lettuce, half a rock hard paste tomato, a teaspoon of shredded carrot and cucumber is not a salad in summer. It is unlikely we will go there again for lunch. And it was very expensive for what we got.

This is probably the worst swiss chalet franchise that i ever dealt with. I ordered online first then found out that i had to pick up... with no vehicle. So it never happened. Next day i had a ride.. we decided to do take out. Im really glad i opened up the bag to double check my order. 75.00+ later... i ordered 2 festival rib and quarter chicken dinners and 1 quarter festival chicken dinner. We didnt get the one dinner and omg i wished i took a picture of the quarter chicken with rib it was the smallest leg EVER!!!! NEEDLESS to say first and last time Ill ever step foot in this restaurant

Swiss Chalet Sudbury, Ontario I live 10 hours drive away from Sudbury, Ontario We planned to go Sudbury to celebrate my father-in-law s 93rd birthday the weekend of December 9, 2023 Late November I phoned Swiss Chalet and asked about reserving a table for five people December 9 at 5:00 PM I explained to the person I was talking to we didn t want a 93 year old gentleman to have to wait for a long period of time The person I talked to told me he would forward the information to the front desk for when we arrived there and it wouldn t be a problem. WELL THERE WERE A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS ! First the older male at the frount desk told me quite loudly in front of other waiting customers that I was wrong, they do not take reservations and i tried to explain that I had called to set it up and he said no I couldn t have because they don t take reservations. I said fine put our name down and we will wait. After waiting about 5 or 6 minutes the younger male called our name and we fallowed him to our table. Within 10 minutes and after ordering our drinks the older male came to our table and told us we were at the wrong table. He left and returned with a man and 3 young girls followed by a woman, who decided to stop at our table and tell us we had taken her table ! While I walked to the front of the restaurant to wait for the rest of our party the older gentleman returned to our table and apologized to my husband and father in law. Not once did he talk to me, whom he had insulted. I d like to know how the woman and husband with three girls knew we were at a certain table to stop and annoy us. We were waiting before they come into the restaurant, so did they have a reservation ? This is the last time I will be going to this Swiss Chalet !

My food was good but cold and my fries werent cooked. Service was very slow

Ordered at 1713hrs, wasnt delivered until 1900hrs ice cold. Called to complain, and was asked by the girl who answered so what do you want me to do about it? Told her i wanted my money back. Waited on hold and was offered a new order. No way was i going to wait another almost 2hrs for a 2nd delivery. Received a full refund

Just finished our super after a fun christmas parade with our big group of 10 ish and YALL KILLED IT WITH THE SERVICE AND FOOD 10/10 recommend! Also our server was truly the sweetest and she was so patient with my un-decided self, will forsure be back thanks for a great night!

Its a nice cheap place to eat, but I have had horrible service there once. The person at the front was rude and when we got seated, the waitress was even ruder. I would understand if we gave them a reason but I think everyone that day working there had a chip on their shoulders. Most of the time I go though its very pleasant and I am treated nicely. The food is really good, everyone enjoyed their meals. I would still recommend this place, since it was only the one time that the service was poor.

Good stuffing made me not hungry anymore

We had about a 15 minute wait, which is fine since lunch was busy. The wrong burger was brought out for my kids meal, which they rectified but then we realized after we left they didnt give us our chocolates for our festive meal and didnt offer us the coupon offered for purchases over 40$ as advertised.

Took the gang out for my granddaughters birthday and festive feast. Chicken was chewy, yuk. Stuffing was stone cold and the cranberry portion was minuscule. Huge disappointment.
